It amazes me that in so many cases like this there are significant grammatical and spelling errors, such that no business of note would have failed to correct.

For a stolen Macbook to appear in iCloud - the person who stole it must turn it on.
You can't track something that's turned off.

ITunes will not accept my Apple ID and Password via Apple TV

Hi there. My Apple ID and Password work perfectly well on my computer and allows access to the iTunes store. However, when I try logging into the iTunes store to rent a movie on my Apple TV it keeps on saying Apple ID or password not recognised (or words to that effect). Any ideas anyone. It's been like this for ages and is driving me nuts! (I updated the Apple TV software today).

I seem to remember seeing something similar when I first connected mine. My userid/pwd were constantly rejected when I tried to rent a movie, and no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to work. However when I reentered the exact same details under the ATV settings menu and then went back to rent the movie it was fine, and has been ever since. Am not in front of the unit so I can't remember which option it was under the settings menu but it was pretty obvious...

After changing your Apple ID information, you may need to manually sign out and sign back in on your devices so that they may recognize the update. You may find the following article helpful:

The Apple Store requires an apple Id and password. Apple also required the use of the Apple Store to upgrade Apple Applications. How to I get multiple Apple ID's etc. for the many Computers I manage/administer? I don't wish to use my personal ID or PW.

How to change the Apple ID on my iOS Device
Settings > iTunes & App stores.
Tap your Apple ID, sign out then sign back in with new AppleID.
Settings > Facetime.
Tap your Apple ID, sign out then sign back in with new AppleID.
Settings > Messages.
Turn off iMessages, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Go to 'Receive messages at' and then tap your Apple ID. Sign out of the old ID, then sign in with new Apple ID.
Settings > iCloud.
Delete the account (make sure to KEEP the information on your phone), then turn it back on with new Apple ID.
Also, delete any apps that were downloaded with the 'old' Apple ID, then reinstall them with your 'new' ID.

When I attempt to use software Update, and am then prompted for my Apple ID and password, my apple ID is not complete and it is 'grayed out' so I cannot change it.

You need to delete the application and then download it from the desired Apple ID.

my iphone 4s wont turn back on after the battery died, have tried all the steps, still not working. contacted my network provider they said to send it in but before that turn off find my iphone. First; how do you forget the apple id and password, that apple id is most likely an > EMAIL < address that you /PERSONALLY/ put into the device to sign up for the service. Once you remember your own email; you need to go to https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid for further assistance on resetting your password
You don't need the first and last name; it just makes it a lot harder to locate your account if you REALLY can't remember
If you cannot find any infomation then you sir are SOL;

It sounds as if they did not restore the phone to remove your apps, and neither did you. They may have also run into Activation Mode and that is why it is asking for your Apple ID and password. Since then no acces to apple id, not even via forgot my id site. It says that my apple id and birth date details do not match. Something is obviosly totally wrong. Got a visa card recently, is that the reason? Cannot get a new apple id with my real address as the systems says its already used. Pls help, I am vey frustated that this can happen.
