Help regarindg country formatting and printer formatting in scripts

Hi all,
I'm facing a problem printing the address in SAPscript. Though we try to display the field T005-LAND1 within Address -endadress, the field T005T-LANDX50 gets displayed.
For example- when we want to display countrycode as NL(netherlands), only 'Kingdom of the Netherlands' is diplayed.
i believe this is because of the Country format used in the adress. Is there anyway we can change the country formating.
Also the output gets different alignment when we use differnt printers for preview. is there anyway to overcome this?
Your replies will be very helpful and thanks in advance.

hi,
this is quite natural that ur print preview and print out differs and it differs from printer to printer.so, u have to define the paper size correctly and check if possible the type of printer they will be usually using.
here in ur case r u trying to pring the country key or country name.
in fact u have to pick the country key and print the country name in that place by getting the name from check table.

    hi expects,
what is the difference between paragraph format and character format in script?

    Hi Rohit,
Paragraph formats control the formatting of paragraphs in SAPscript  whereas Character formats are used for text formatting within paragraphs.
Character formats will have Standard attributes like Bold, Italic, Underline, Font family, Font size etc.
Paragraph formats will standard attributes of Character formats and in addition to this, they will margins, Indents, tabs, Alignments, Line spacing and delimeters.

  • List all of the existing column and there column format and data format?

    Hello Gurus,
I am new to OBIEE and i have a requirement to verify the column format and data format for all of the existing column while generating a analysis report. Is there any way i can list down all of the columns which are exposed and list there column format and data format?
For checking the individual column properties i know there is an option called 'Column Properties' but want to know all in once go.
Kindly help me and thanks in advance.
    Thanks

I don't think you have anything in answers to get that, Go to Repository and Utilities -> Generate Metadata Dictionary that will give columns and datatype.

  • Difference between deploying oracle report in RDF format and REP format

    Hi All,
    Good Day!!!
We are frequently encountering report failures in our production environment with the error message "REP-1247: There exist uncompiled program unit(s)"
But the report executes successfully in the next try and the issue is intermittant. In production the reports are deployed in RDF format.
So in our test environment we tried of deploying the reports in REP foramat and we cant find any errors.
Is there Difference in deploying oracle report in RDF format and REP format?
Is there any diffence in execution?
Your inputs will be much appreciated!!!
    Thanks in Advance,
    JK

    Hi,
REP is to RDF what FMX is to FMB, MMX is to MMB, etc.
Only difference here is that if you deploy RDF, not REP, then the RDF is compiled at runtime by Reports Engine and then executed. In other words, if REP is deployed then it is straightway execute.
That should explain all your observations.
    Cheers.

  • Date format and number format- need help

    Hi everyone,
I'm working with JDeveloper10.1.2, struts and uix pages.
    I have 2 problems:
1 - I have a field of type date in my uix page and the format is like this='24-Jun-2006', but I need to change this format to be '2006/06/24'.
2 - I have an attribute of type number(salary) and when I drag and drop this attribute from the DataControl Pallete and run the project, in the uix page I see a number, for example: salary = '123456', but I should see salary = '123.456,00'.
And when I write, for example '123.456,00', when I commit this value, I should see in my DataBase something like this '123456,00'.
I alredy tried to change the attribute properties in the Entity Object but without success. :(
Can anyone help me with this problems?
    Thanks,

nd when I write, for example '123.456,00', when I
commit this value, I should see in my DataBase
something like this '123456,00'.Sorry I replied before thinking about the problem. You will not see the value in the db as such, the db will show the values differently depending on the session settings.
The values will only show up as such in the form. To see them such in the db do:
    alter session set nls_date_format='yyyy.mm.dd'
    for the date and
    alter session set nld_number_format='0.00'
    for the number

  • Date Formatting and SSN Formatting from BIP Report

    Hello,
I found out how to format phone numbers.
I just need help in formatting 2 fields from our report.
    1. The Call Date (MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM)
    2. SSN (123-45-6789)
First, I am using the command below to convert the date into canonical format after the namespace:psfn.
    <?psfn:totext(ssWarrantyUpdatedDt, 'YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MI:SS')?>
I then tried formatting the date using the Microsoft Format Mask definitions but it didn't work.
On the SSN, I didn't see anything from the bookshelf that shows me how to do this formatting.
    Can anyone please help me?
    Thank you

    Hi,
If you XML data is coming from Oracle Report (RDF), why dont you do date and SSN formatting in SQL itself. So that you will get directly the required format in XML. That is how I am doing in my report. Most of the time it is easy to make changes in Oracle Report SQL rather than in template bcoz BI publisher dont support so many MS Word properties.

  • What is the difference between mp3 format and mp4a format?

I downloaded all my cds and the files are in mp4a format. This seems to be the default.
Is there any difference between this format and mp3?
Will I have problems in the future playing my music?
Will I have to download my cds again in mp3 formatr?
    Please help!

    PC   Windows XP

    Both are a Lossy compression.
You lose some of the information when you convert to this format from the original.
Both are very close to the same size when converted at the same bit rate.
A file converted to MP4 at 128 kbps will sound at least as good as the same file converted to MP3 at 160 kbps. This results in smaller file sizes with better quality.
Will I have problems in the future playing my music?
Probably not. Depends on what you want to play them on.
Will I have to download my cds again in mp3 format?
Again, it depends on what you want to play them on.
If you are using something which will not read MP4 you may want to convert them.

  • Differences between Internal Format and External Format

    Hi experts,
When I was importing master data from InfoObject in BW, there's an option selection in the screen of Data Manager. Its name is Choose format and two selectable options are:
    1. Internal Format
    2. External Format
I looked into help of BPC and it says:
    Choose the Format
    Note:
The External Format calls the Output conversion routine of the InfoObject.
The Internal Format does not call the Output conversion routine.
I'm not sure what is Output conversion routine of the InfoObject. Could you help me to understand it?
    Thanks,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
In BPC Data Manager, you will find Conversions, in that you will find
External and Internal formats.  This means if you are importing a flat file where in
Example your date format in that file is 31-10-2009, but our Internal format (BPC format)
will not accept it.  Our internal format is 2009.OCT.  So accordingly you have to
mention that.  It may be for any dimension like Accounts, Product and so on.......
I hope this may help you.

  • Pdf reader X has problems with small pdf and printer with post script driver

    Hi friends.
I have installed new Reader X and then i saw that, when i print a very small pdf with about 50 kb and i print it on a Laserjet 4000 printer the printer has problem with the amount of data that reader 10 produces.
When i install a Postscript driver for the printer my computer makes up to 3.5MB printer data from a 50kb pdf.
When i install a PCL driver for the printer my computer makes only 350kb from the same 50kb pdf file!!!!
When i install Reader 9.3 the 50kb file becomes also only 350kb on the printer with post script driver, and i can print without problems also.
my printer has 8 MB Ram and that should be enough for 3.5MB printer data.
But when i print the pdf with 1 side only, the printer created a side who is only filled with 50% of the text, then there comes out a second page with the message.....not enough memory in the printer.
i can not change the postscript driver to a pcl driver cause our ERP System can not handle printer with PCL drivers.
Can someone help me please.........are there settings in Reader X who can solve my problem ???
Thank you very much for help!

  • FORMATTING AND PRINTING

I have created my first form and am having page formatting issues and cannot figure out how to print it??

    Hi;
Can you tell me more about your page formatting issues?  Also what are you trying to print?
Maybe some of this will help...
For the HTML form (printing from the fillable form URL), there isn't any special support in the FormsCentral form for printing from the web browser, the browser and operating system would manage that print and would print whatever is shown in the browser window at the time.
As the author if you are looking to print the filled out form the best thing to print is the PDF of the response, in a Paid level account you can "Save Response as PDF Form" which looks like the original form filled out and would print correctly.
A few things you might find userful:
"View mode" - there are two "View" modes accessed from the "View" menu or the view selector at the bottom right corner of the form on the Design tab.  There is "Web View" for designing your form for the web, and "Page View" for designing for a PDF.  You can make changes in both views, the difference is that features not available in PDF are disabled in "Page View" and the "New Page" fields added are unique to each view (only create a new page in the corresponding form, HTML or PDF).
Page Setup - There is a "Page Setup" where you can define the width of the HTML page and the size of the paper when saved as a PDF.
    Thanks,
    Josh
