I WAS CLICKING DOWN THE E-MAIL LIST TO DELEAT E-MAILS THAT WERE OBVIOUS SPAM, WHEN DELEATING AN EMAIL OFFERING CAR DEALS, MY VIRUS PROGRAM POPPED UP A FULL PAGE WARNING,"THIS PROGRAM HAS CONTRACTED A TROJON, SHUT YOUR COMPUTER DOWN IMMEADIATELY" SO I DID. I RESTARTED IT AND RAN A FULL SCAN, TWO ITEMS WERE FOUND AND GAVE ME THE OPTION TO QUARENTEEN THEM OR DELEAT THEM I DELEATED THEM, THAN RAN A QUICK SCAN, THEY WERE STILL THERE. SO I CALLED MICROSOFT, TURNED OVER CONTROLL AND WATCHED THE TECH. WORK AND SCAN FOR MOST OF THE NITE. FINISHING ALL THE WORK THEN RAN AN EXTENSIVE SCAN LOCATE AND DESTROY PROGRAM THAT RAN ANOTHER 5 OR 6 HRS. AROUND 2AM IT FINISHED. I RESTARTED IT, CHECKED IT OUT AND SHUT IT DOWN AND WENT TO BED. NEXT DAY ,ALL DAY FOXFIRE HAD ONE FAILURE AFTER ANOTHER UNTILL I WAS NOT ONLY FRUSTRATED, EVERYONE I CALLED FROM THE PROVIDER TO MY SERVICE PROVIDER AND ALL SAID JUST TO REMOVE IT SINCE MICROSOFT GOT MY MINE FIXED ITS ONLY FOXFIRE THAT GOT INFECTED, I SHUT IT DOWN BEFORE IT MADE THE JUMP FROM FOXFIRE TO MY COMPUTER, BUT FOXFIRE WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO REMOVE IT FROM MY PROGRAM REMOVAL SITE. HELP I WANT IT GONE COMPLEATELY. HELP.

iTunes thinks you have a new computer because you restored the OS. Open iTunes and authorize it to the same account you have on the iPhone. Did you restore your iTunes content from a backup after resetting your computer? Have you been syncing regularly with the computer, and does the iTunes library on the computer contain your apps, music and videos? If so just sync and your content will be removed then restored.
If you have not hopefully you have now learned something. You can recover apps and purchased songs by connecting the phone, without syncing, and choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu.

I am sorry to hear of the issues you had with our HP ePrint Software driver however the p1006 LaserJet printer is not supported with this software.
To uninstall this software:
1. Go to your control panel. (modern desk top or tiles screen and start typing control panel)
2. Go to Programs > uninstall a prggram
3. Locate HP ePrint Software
4. Click unstall, ether by right clicking on the the program or going to the top of the list and click unstall program
These steps should completely remove it from your system.

not sure about those particular apps but most apps that use installers put other stuff on your computer besides the application itself. they often install launch daemons, startup items, preference panes and other stuff. to get them out cleanly it's best to use uninstallers. you usually can also do it by hand by searching them out using spotlight but that can be tricky.

Try running malwarebytes, if that doesn't work.
Simply restore your system to the checkpoint before this happened. It's easy, On Windows 7, I just had to do it to get rid of the rogue program 'Antimalware Doctor'. Go to Start > ALL Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore click next and select the restore point prior to the time the infection occurred. Mine took only 5-7 minutes to run.
If you don't have Windows 7, you still can get to the System Restore by finding the location of your Accessories, normally System Restore is under this.

Need help coping project from one computer to another.

I need help coping project from one computer to another. I loaded all video on computer 1, copied events and project folder to computer 2. I was told I only needed to copy the project folder back to computer 1 since the events folder is already there. I copied project folder back to computer 1 but the files wont open. I dont have computer 2 available.

No that's not the way to do it - iMovie gets confused and in some cases the problems might be un-repairable.
You've got several problems
• iMovie'08 - CAN NOT MOVE PROJCTS - You NEED iMovie'09 or iMovie'11 - I see no other working solution
• Never MOVE or alter any folder named
iMovie Projects - or -
iMovie Events
on DeskTop/Finder - This might be very harmful
• Moving (Projects) and Events - HAS TO be done within the iMovie Application.
You've got an Evets window and here You can view Your Events in two ways - Yearly - or - Yearly per Hard disk
Here You can move within this "window" to another location
• Projects - NO they do not contain Your full movie - only a document on howto use the material in Event folder
and there might be worse if You added Photos from iPhoto and Audio from iTunes/Garageband - then You have
to get this over to the second Mac too, to be able to continue editing.
So to move Your projects to another Mac You need
• iMovie'09 or 11
• an external hard disk -
MUST BE Mac OS Extended formatted - as UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange will not work for VIDEO
Should be a FireWire one - as UBS/UBS2 performs badly when used for video
• Then move/copy over within Project resp Events window in iMovie Application
Hopefully I've been not to confusing or badly structured to be followed.

Quicxktime is installed but when I try to open a mp3 file using quicktime my Windows installer tells me that Quicktime cannot be found.

If so, unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing QuickTime again. Does the install go through properly? If so, does your QuickTime Player launch now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

That's Windows malware, so it cannot be infecting your Mac. It probably is on your computer as an email attachment. To remove it, see:
