Help Removing Corrupted Itunes program from Windows XP

I am using a Imac computer and am also running Windows XP. My Itunes file is corruptes, and, will not work. I have tried to uninstall the program and keep getting the following message stating it cannot delete the program:
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple\Apple Software Update\
Has anyone run into this before? Thanks in advance for any help received.

I cannot do a system restore because of the number of changes made since the installation of the software.
I'll have a look into the registry but usually I leave it well enough alone.

I have a Windows machine on which my whole iTunes library sits (both ripped CD's and downloaded music and TV from iTunes).
I need to move that to my new Mac.
I read the article about using my iPod to do this, but it doesn't seem to work across Mac/Windows. The computers are on the same home LAN. My old machine doesn't have a DVD writer or CD writer, so I can't use that option.
So, is there an easy way to just transfer it over to my new machine?
Also, what do I need to do (and in what order) about de-authorizing my old computer?
The Apple help and online resources are shockingly unhelpful on this topic. Thanks for any instructions you can provide.

After you mount the drive, I'd recommend copying the folder over to your Mac desktop. From there, set iTunes to Copy Files on Import (under preferences). Select File -> Add to Library then choose the whole music folder you copied to your desktop. iTunes will load all the songs into your iTunes library and copy them to the appropriate folder in your hard drive.
When that process is complete, you should be able to delete the folder from your desktop and all your songs will be in your iTunes library.

I had to reinstall Vista and iTunes. I have found what I believe are my iTunes music files (.lib)
When trying to add these files to the newly installed iTunes, they will not add. Please help me. I do not want to sync my iPhone or my wife's iPhone and risk erasing all the songs we have on them.

HELP!! iTunes installation causes Windows Vista Activation corruption

We bought a new Dell Inspiron laptop from Dell that came with Windows Vista (32 bit)= a legal copy. I have tried to install the latest version of iTunes. The software seems to install ok, but when it is finished, I get messages from Vista that the my Windows Vista may be counterfeit, that I need to validate it. When I try to validate, it fails and never validates, and the machine no longer boots up in normal mode. The only thing that I can do is go into safe mode and restore the operating system to before I tried the install. The end result is no more iTunes until I can figure this out. Has anyone else seen this problem? Everything else is working fine.

Try following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

I recently transferred itunes library from windows XP PC to new Windows 7 PC. The transfer was successful, however when I plug my 3rd gen Ipod Nano into the new PC, the Ipod icon appears along with the music, playlists, etc. The songs are shown but are 'grayed out' and wont play or sync.The 'Devices & Printers' window in new PC shows icon for Ipod driver & is OK. The icon for the Ipod appears but depicts a delta shaped warning icon that states that the Ipod is'not operating properly'. Tried troubleshooting. That "itunes file from the old PC"? Is that the iTunes folder, from the old PC, that was in the user home folder's Music folder?
All of the library, playlists, etc. from the ipod as they always have been are shown, by they are 'grayed out' and will not open or play.
That's on the iPod, correct? Are all of your old playlists in iTunes, from the old PC, still there in iTunes on the new PC? Are the songs in iTunes still playable?

There are many steps, but this is a summary. (1) On the old PC, consolidate all of your iTunes data into the iTunes folder. (2) Copy this iTunes folder to the external drive. When you run iTunes, it uses the iTunes folder from the old PC, and it should look like iTunes on the old PC (with all the playlists, ratings, play count, etc.), and your iPod will see the iTunes library as the same iTunes library (because it is the same library).
If you did something different, and the old PC is still accessible, you may want to try it using the method from the linked document.

I am currently on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. I never had a problem, for last 2 years, until this past week when trying to access the program. I have an ipod that 5th generation touch ipod I sync to my library, which successfully will load and update any app needing to be updated, and play my music library with no issues.
I just do not understand why I cannot open this program any longer from my computer.

Unable to install new itunes or remove old itunes program

Short story: I had to move itunes program from computer onto external hard drive. Copied the program from external hard drive to reinstall back onto computer. Now I can't open itunes program, remove it, or install a new version. Is this because it is a copy and not the original program file? I no longer have the original file. What can I do?

If you are giving the computer away you should not include music you've purchased: the purchase doesn't include the right to make copies to give to other people, which is what you would in effect be doing. The same applies to any purchased sofrtware which wasn't bundled with the computer when new.
The proper procedure when selling or giving a computer is to erase it completely and restore it to its out-of-the-box condition from the original disks. You should also make sure to include the disks which came with the computer.

Hi,
Unfortunately this CP cannot be disabled as it has to be removed from certain RGs but not all. Also removing it through RG forms is always an option but production gatekeepers won't allow to do that. I would have done that in a min.
If FNDLOAD is not an option then I guess only other option is pl/sql script.

Sorting in iTunes is often controlled by selecting different column headings. The sort order for any given column may be further modified by a sort value, e.g. Sort Artist affects the sort order of Artist. If you transferred the library properly all of the metadata should have remained intract and you simply need to select the a column that sorts as you want. If you had to import the library then there is the potential for tagging effects that could mean metadata entered previously didn't import with the media. Note that iTunes has no mechanism for automatically deciding which values are in <Forename> <Surname> order and could therefore be sorted as <Surname> <Forename>. The only automatic process drops leading articles (a/an/the) so that "The Doors" sort under D as "Doors".

the JDK.First, the other machines do not need the JDK - they need the JRE which is much smaller. Second, your question is a variant of the most asked question on this forum. Try searching for "exe" or "executable" or something similar and you will find lots of answers.
Quickly I can tell you that if your program use any GUI (ie AWT/Swing), there is no way you can avoid having the JRE on the target machines. You can, however, make installation programs that install the JRE along with you program if you wish.

It should be possible remove Nokia Phone Browser from Windows Explorer by going to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideMyComputerIcons\
and creating a Dword Value named
{416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}
with data of 1.
That didn't work for me so I went to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\ and changed the name of {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}
(by adding a - on the end) to
{416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}-.
That worked and it's easy to undo the change.
