In web dynpro ABAP we follow MVC(Model View Controller) architecture.
In this object oriented ABAP is used to provide background functionality. Here, your ABAP skills can be utilized to the fullest. As the name suggests Web Dynpro for ABAP uses exactly the same meta model as its cousin Web Dynpro for Java. A Web Dynpro component, a Web Dynpro view, a Web Dynpro model, a Web Dynpro controller have the same semantics both for ABAP and Java. The main difference is the designtime environment, the development infrastructure and the runtime environment.
The designtime environment is properly embedded in the ABAP Workbench where Web Dynpro artifacts are simply a new category like BSP applications or classical dynpro based applications before. Urgent Help need for ABAP Custom Process Types

Hi Gurus,
I have created a Custom Process Type for ABAP program which returns status (Success or Failure).
I followed the below procedure to create a custom ABAP process type.
In RSPC, I went to Settings -> Maintain process types
I selected the ABAP process type and then selected the EDIT -> COPY AS and then in the process chain configuration screen, I gave a new name to the process type, changed the POSSIBLE EVENTS settings to "2 process ends "successful" or "failure" and saved the settings to confirm changes.
Now I can see the new process type for ABAP program which returns the success or failure for the successors.
Now, my question is, where do i write the logic for ABAP program ? how does the ABAP program returns the success or failure. Do I have to change the code in the method IF_RSPC_EXECUTE~EXECUTE to return success or failure. Please make me clear where I can write the code? For example in my ABAP program, I am searching a table to find a specific value. If the value is not found, then the ABAP process type should return failure, if found should return success. How can I do this?

Hi,
   We have a similar problem. We have an ABAP program in a process chain that
uses a custom process type with on success and on failure.
    If the program is successful there is no problem. it will run the next process step.
    The problem is when the ABAP Program fails and even though the message class is E in our ABAP program it has a confirm popup message with a status change and asks "Save Status and Trigger Events if Appropriate".
     Once you enter Yes to continue it then continues to the next step in the program and is fine.I traced in debug where this status message is appearing. It is in CL_RSPC_LOG. There is a popup_to_confirm_step where it checks the e_status that is value J ( Framework Error upon completion). Then it submits the rspc_process_finish program to complete and call the on error process step.
     Has anyone else experienced this and is there any other documents out there to help me?
Apologies if this is not very clear.

differently for each text field in one window.
i.e., for Pay/Beared Name : Font should be big and (Courier 10,say example)

For this case u can use Character Format...
For Example..
p1--->Paragraph Format.
C1---->Character Format.
Declare the Font..
Here p1 Font is Big..
and C1 Font less than P1 Font...
In text Editor write like this..
P1   &Bearedname& <c1>&Rupeesfield&< / >
So, Bearedname Font will Come in Big..
and Rupeesfield Font will come in Small Size...

Pressing F1 For Help Opens Old CS6 Placeholder PDF Doc

I don't have any CS6 applications installed anymore, but now only PS CC 2014 and Bridge CC. When I press F1 or select help from the menu, it opens acrobat reader and the old CS6 placeholder doc that does not contain any help info. How can this be corrected?

This can possibly be corrected, but I don't know how (preferences file?). I don't use the cloud, but I think it is even more connected to the internet than any other suite before, so this might just be a matter of setup. Is Adobe Help a part of CC?
Was is probably not installed or incorrectly? Perhaps in Adobe Help you can manage to open online help or local docs, which both should work in case you don't have an internet connection. I'd always prefer local docs.

Help reqd for USER EXIT - VA01

Hi all,
i've the details of lists regarding the VA01 std enhancement assignment....but really i dont know which one'll be applicable for my USER Exit object....
My client requiremnet is...In VA01 or VA02
The enduser will be able to create/do the line items upto the line 4th (POSNR -004).means,we shuld restrict the line items as a maximum of 4 only and it has to throw an error if going for 5th line item and revert back to main .
which is the std enhancement/exit for this to declare in CMOD....the exact one
,i need.
If anyone has faced the same creiteria,then pls post ur comments here in detail,else if any knows the exit name,pls reply here on urgent basis.

Help reqd for a newbie on Oracle App Server 10g

I installed Oracle 10g Appserver. I have used Websphere, WebLogic and other App servers. But, Iam completely new to Oracle 10g App Server. Can you guys help me how to go about it to deploy an application on Oracle 10g App Server and if any pointers are there, they are very very helpful.
First of my problems, is that, it is asking me for "Enter your single sign-on username and password", when I give oc4jadmin/oc4jadmin, its giving "Incorrect username or password". Can someone give me a pointer to docs, if any to resolve these issues.

Need help with transforming abap to xml doc!!

I was able to transfer xml data from abap internal tables to a string.
Here is the content of the string:

Now my goal is to strip out a couple of tags out of that string directly using xslt.
Do you know of any way i could take out the <asx:abap> and <asx:values> tags using an xslt program. I'd like to be able to strip them out directly from the string itself.

Unfortunately this is a bit outside the scope of what ExportPDF is designed for. You may be able to convert your document to a Word file and, as long as you didn't write over any of the printed text on the document, make your edits there to remove your writing That said, it sounds like your best bet would be to scan the document to an image format, then use a photo-editing application, such as Photoshop Elements to touch up and remove your hand-written notes.

Flow of the Report:-
1. Get Date(P2001- BEGDA and P2001- ENDDA) using selection criteria from selection screen
2. Get Personnel sub area from the table PA0001
3. Number of Occurrence is the Total number of Absences which were recorded in the specific period.
4. Get all the Absences from the table ZWSOABS which were recorded in the specific period (P2001- BEGDA and P2001- ENDDA).
5. Number of Workers is the Average number of workers who worked in the recording period excluding those persons who were absent from work on paid/unpaid leave for the entire period.
6. Get the Number of Workers from PA0000 using the following:
- Select Count(*) from PA0000 where PA0000-ENDDA = 31/12/9999 and PA0000-STAT2 = 3
7. Perform the report
Further Information:- The Incidence rate is the number of occurrences of injury/disease for each one hundred workers employed. The following formula should be applied:
Number of Occurrences in the period /Number of Workers * 100

I have Acrobat 10 and was getting update error messages so I finally did what Adobe recommended and uninstalled Acrobat. Now I can;t re-install the program and get a number of different error messages. Help I need to read pdf docs!

I have Acrobat 10 (10.1.9) that came in the Creative Suite CS5. I have received numerous messages about failed updates so finally did what was recommended by Adobe and uninstalled the program. Now I can't re-install it. These are the error messages I get. Help!

I did it through CS, I think. I used the installation disk and selected Acrobat. It loads and then gives me all kinds of error messages and then uninstalls itself.

Help reqd for Selection Screen Input paramter

Hi Friends,
I've developed a noraml ALV grid report which have Date selection option as input selection parameter. In that , I want to declare last month date as defualt value to date-low range. Whenever the Tcode is entered, it should show the date ranges with my default values as date-low is last month date and date-high is current system date (this one I've given as sy-datlo).
Please help me how to declare last month date to my low range field.

i think so there is no need to specify the sign and options.
SELECT-OPTIONS:so_dat for sy-datum.
INITIALIZATION.
so_dat-low = sy-datum.
so_dat-high = sy-datum.
append so_dat.
START-OF-SELECTION.
BREAK-POINT.
it assigns BT by default.

Coding help reqd for BADI

HI Friends,
Im working on MB_MIGO_BADI object for MType: 261.Here, im facing a problem to call a info msg with coding effect.i.e, I've to give a conditional message says that if the user tries to change the quantity (changing the existing/available in the field text of MIGO), then it'll give a window pop-up message or info msg like "Quantity should not be changed". Pls reply ur post how to fix this.
The fields are
1) cs_goitem-bwart " MType
2) cs_goitem-erfmg "Quantity
Note: A) It'll be applied only for MType:261.
B) Pls advise, Here, shall I declare the export and import memory id concept?

Coding help reqd for BADI - looping strategy

Hi friends,
Pls help me to post some example codes for looping the table control data items.
i.e., Details available in table control item in MIGO.
Ex:
LINE     Material text        Qty
1             INGOT              5.0
1             INGOT              2.5
1             INGOT              10.0
1             FURNACE OIL 180.0
Pls help me,How to loop this table control items , so that i want to sum the consolidated qty by material wise.
the fileds are cs_goitem-matnr and cs_goitem-qty.
FYI, the cs_goitem is a structure of MIGO.(cant do it for looping)

Hello Sankar.
You can write the code needed in the POST_DOCUMENT method of the BAdI where you have the IT_MSEG table, so that you can loop it and collect the qty you need.
For example:
data: ls_mseg type MSEG.
data: begin of i_coll_qty occurs 0,
           matnr type matnr,
           menge type menge_d,
        end of i_coll_qty.
loop at it_mseg into ls_mseg where shkzg = 'S'.
    i_coll_qty-matnr = ls_mseg-matnr.
    i_coll_qty-menge = ls_mseg-menge.
    collect i_coll_qty.
endloop.

Help reqd for user exit

Hi all,
the requirement is...
In MIRO,the Incoimg invoice should not be posted without an empty field of amount(WRBTR) in the Basic Data.Currently as per std,it's not a mandatory field and can be posted by not entering any amount in that.So, either we have to make it as a mandatory field or should restrict not to saving the data if posting of empty field.(Not giving any amount)***seems,it tells the user to give the amount as mandatory.
How to do this.....if its coming under the USER Exit object...pls post both how to get the std program and enhancement assignment(it asks while creating user exit in CMOD) also for user exit.

Help reqd for Tcode - Customer master

Hi all,
What is the t-code to get all the datas of Customer Master available in my SAP system.So that, i can export the same into my excel sheet file.
i tried in XD03 and table KNA1...both are not working out.
in KNA1 it's loading the datas to excel by screen/list wise which is showing in the
table list screen.
I want all the datas in can be viewd in the system and same also be loaded into excel file. (like MM60 for materials and MKVZ for vendors).
Pls do the needful.
