Help reqd on Changing the Valid from "date" for both BOM & Routing

Hi all...
Pls advise me how to do the changing of Valid from "date"....
Is there any process in CC01 or ECM???....
pls reply me in detail step format (step by step analysis)....
I wrongly created in CS01 and CA01 as 05.10.2007 as my valid from date instead of 01.10.2007.....
How to change to my actual one......
I dont know how to change it exactly.....as im beginner in SAP...pls take this into consideration...and post ur replies imm.
Pls reply me in detail....will be rewarded at the end while closing this issue.

IF there's no setting for Date Check in OS54 - Engineering Change Management
Control Data,then you can create a change number with past dates,and also to
use the same one for changing BOM.
Tell me one thing you are saying you want to use ECM.Was the earlier one
created without BOM was created without an ECN?
See already if you have created your BOM with an ECN,then remove the date
check setting which I have mentioned in OS54.
Now goto T code CC02 ,enter the Change number and give the valid from date as
01.10.2007.
After that check in CS03 whether this date(01.10.2007)is getting reflected or not.
I'm sure this will solve your problem.

Lets assume that, we are going to change Management for controlling Valid From date
Steps to be followed for creation of Change No
Tcode CC01 for Change No
Click on Change Master
Once you enter into Change master, maintain the description
In the Valid from Date, maintain the date from which you BOM should be current
Maintain the Status (01)
Click on Ojbect Type, maintain for which Object types is the Change no needs to be active i.e. for BOM, Rtg, etc
save the Change No
After the change no is created
Enter the Change No during the creation mode of BOM
THe system copies the Valid from date from Change No

Now we need to change that valid from date 21.08.2018 to 21.08.2008.

If you are creating the BOM wr.to change number & if the change number date is lying in future. System allows you to change the effective from date for the ECN, which in turn BOM effective date also get change automatiocally. T code CC 02 for changing the date through ECN

'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.

Hi Experts,
My Requirement:
Need to display the 'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.
Right now we are using the Functional modules 'GET_STKO' & 'GET_STPO' for the header
& the components respectively. The report gives the correct output for the all the BOM alternatives
which exist. But for the BOM alternatives which have been deleted(updated in STKO-LKENZ)
'Valid to' dates are displayed as'00/00/0000'.
(Note:ECM is used for BOMs)
Is there any Logical Database that I can fetch the 'Valid to' dates of both BOM Header & components
which are deleted?

In my understanding I dont think you cannot get the valid to date for BOM header,unless a ECN,(engineering change number) is
used to set the deletion flag.In otherwords none of the business sets for all these BOM's the valid to date(which means the
default valid to date 31.12.9999 is taken).
Check with this FM, CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 whether can you get the valid to date for the components(infact here also the
valid from date given in the input screen impacts the report output).
Check and revert back.

There is nothing to choose. The language is determined by your serial number and the choice of language during installation. You need to reinstall in that language.

IDOC BOMMAT: Wrong validity-from dates for components

Hi all,
I am currently loading BOMs via IDOC BOMMAT for a data migration project. Unfortunately I am having problems to load the BOMs with the correct validity-from date for components. The data is correct when I check in LSMW, but after the load of the IDOCs the validity-from date of each component is the same as the validity date of the BOM header!
System Version is SAP 4.7.

Change of valid from date in routing

Dear All,
How can i change the routing "valid from date".
When i am creating a prod coder in co01 its throwing a message that routing is not found so when i wwent to co02 it is showing that valid from 09.01.2012 but i need production order from 01.01.2012.

Hi,
There is a work around to change the validity of routing without using ECM in this particular situation
1) While creating routing in CA01 you can change the key date to some past date say 01.01.2012.
2) If already routing exists (one GC available) for same material and group number you can create another GC with past date and use the new GC for Production order by changing the old GC status to 1
Be sure of implications of creating master data in past and may not be a standard practice.

Follow following steps;
(1) Go to transaction code MD26
(2) Enter your plant and and Planning Calendar
(3) Select "Periods" (click Calculate Periods or Fn F8 Button)
(4) Enter new dates (Valid From and Valid To)
(5) Check and Save

Please check in KON* series table in SE16N transaction. I guess KOHN table may help you out. You can see other similar tables.

I use PC therefore Windows. When I thing about Application like Photoshop I know the are going to be files all over the place. Windows like everything installed on the Boot disk. I gave up the fight many years ago and let windows have it way when application are installed using an installer. However besides the application files you have user files and I break user files down into to categories. Windows User files like applications settings, preferences, cashes, etc and user Data Files, Images, text documents, PDF. Applications like Photoshop also have add-ons an need swap space as well. While all Windows default library reside on the C: drive you can add additional storage to you document, music, picture and video libraries the are not on the c: Most of my user data file are actually on external ESATA drives or USB3 drives. System files, Application Files, Paging, swapping and backup are on internal SSd and Fast Disk drive. Some of the folder that look like they are on C: are actually shortcut links to folders on other drives.

Business partner change Valid From Date field

How can I change the Valid From Date field in tables:
BUT000
BUT020
BUT0BK
BUT100
Currently the of date of creation of the business partner is in this tables' Valid From field.
In transaction BP the Address of the Business Partner is valid from 01.01.1990 but still I get a warning that the business partner is not valid for date 01.11.2011.

Sounds like the problem is the valid to date. What is that date set to?

Component - Change valid from date

I am using function module CRM_IBASE_COMP_CHANGE to change the component data. I am able to make all the required changes in the component except valid from date. Even though I am specifying it in VALFR of the structure IBAP_COMP3
Can you suggest me how do I change the valid from date of the component.

Hi Abdullah,
Valid-from date cannot be modified. If you go to IBase Display or if you create a new IBase with one Component, then you can observe there, that Valid-from date is only a Display field which takes current date by default (during creation) and not an input field. Hence i think you cannot modify.

How to set the Valid-to-date (datub) of a BOM item

Is there a way I can set the "Valid-to-date" of a BOM item?
According to SAP documentation...

I do not see a field for the "Valid-to" date in the function module - CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2. There is one for the "Valid-From" date called DATUV. But I would like to change the "Valid-from" date of the BOM item.
Or is there another way to set the BOM item's valid-to date using this function module which I am missing?

Changing valid from Date in MDG Finance

Hi,
We have a valid edition say E1 that has the validity of 08.08.2014 to 31.12.9999. We have assigned few master data objects (Cost centers, profit centers etc) into this edition. Now we have to change only the Valid from date (say to 10.10.2014) of few cost centers that are part of the edition E1. How do we achieve this? I tried creating a new edition say E2 that has the validity of 10.10.2014 and tried including into it. However I see even after including the cost centre into the new Edition E2 the cost centre still shows as having validitity E1.
Please help.
