Help require to migrate Report Manager(FSG)Excel Templates across Instances

In R12.1.3, we are creating new custom MS Excel templates for Standard FSG Reports.
We understand to create these templates with Report Manager using “Financial Report Template Editor”, edit them, download and upload back.
These templates created in Test Instance needs to be moved to multiple instances.
How can we migrate these custom Excel templates from one instance to another? , as when we select Oracle-->Upload from Excel template, it expects to upload back to the same instance where from it was downloaded originally, but our requirement is to migrate these templates across instances rather than to recreate it on each instance
Please suggest how to migrate these Excel templates from one instance to another.
Thanks,
Amit

hi,
sorry, but currently there is no such option, the templates need to be rebuilt.
Enhancement Request
Bug 6710387 'COPY REPORT TEMPLATES FROM ONE INSTANCE TO AN OTHER'
was raised on the issue but it was not implemented yet.
Please monitor this enhancement on 'My Oracle Support' to get news on its implementation.

  • Help Required in Migrating the Dev to Test Instance

    Hi

    Hi K,
    There are many ways to do it, it will all depend on your environment.
    The way that works for me is:
    1. Deploy your project to SAR (it will actually generate a jar file)
    2. Copy the generated file to the environment where it will be deployed
    3. Use the ant-sca-deploy.xml to deploy it
    ant-sca-deploy.xml will be located at $BEA_HOME/Oracle_SOA1/bin
    and you can call it from your own ant build.xml like this:
         <target name="deploy-app">
              <ant
                   antfile="${beaHome}/Oracle_SOA1/bin/ant-sca-deploy.xml"
                   target="deploy"
                   dir="${beaHome}/Oracle_SOA1/bin"
                   >
                   <property name="serverURL" value="${scaDeployUrl}"/>
                   <property name="sarLocation" value="${appEarDestDir}/${sca.jar}"/>
                   <property name="overwrite" value="true"/>
                   <property name="user" value="${domainUser}"/>
                   <property name="password" value="${domainPwd}"/>
                   <property name="failOnError" value="true"/>
                   <property name="partition" value="${partition}"/>
              </ant>
         </target>
    Cheers,
    Vlad

  • Report Generation Toolkit - Excel Templates

    Hi,  I've created an Excel Template with a single formatted
    worksheet.  I need to generate a report with a varying number of
    worksheets but all based on the same template.  I tried it using
    the ADD WORKSHEET vi but this just adds an unformatted worksheet.
    How can I use the template's worksheet format for each worksheet that
    gets added?
    Thanks,
    Charlie

    Hey Guys,
      I know this post if kind of old but I hope maybe one of you can help me out.  I'm using an invoke node similar to what is above to print out an Excel spreadsheet to the default printer.  My issue is that when I try to print from the spreadsheet from the executable, the executable crashes.  I know it is that invoke node. The reason why I say that is because until recently I had two development computers, one running on Windows 7 LabVIEW 2010, and one running on Windows XP LabVIEW2010.  The original .exe was built with the XP machine, when I tried to make some changes with the Windows 7 machine and open the project it would say that there was a missing connection to the invoke node even though I did not touch that part of the application. I would then remove the invoke node, add it again and it would clear the error for whatever reason. I would then build the .exe with the Windows 7 machine and when it would run, the application would crash at the point where it goes to print the spreadsheet.  I got around this by building the .exe with the Windows XP machine, and it worked fine without any issues. However, my Windows XP machine cra**ed out so i'm no longer able to build the .exe on the XP machine .  I needed to make some changes to the .exe not anything involving this section of the code and for whatever reason when the application goes to print it crashes.  I get some criptic crash report from Windows that is pretty much useless.  I think its a Windows thing. This was workign correctly though until I did a build on the Windows 7 machine.

    Hi Siddarth
    As per query, if you want to display sums automatically when you report is displayed for the first time, you'll have to modify your field catalog a bit.
    To acheive this, you need to identify the field for which the totals are calculated ex- for every new material num, or for every new documnet number etc.
    once you have this info, you identify the field that has to be totaled.
    then while building your fieldcatalog, set this parameter :
    l_wa_fieldcat-do_sum     =  'X' for the field that has to be totaled.
    and when you build a sort table then set this parameter:
    l_t_sort           TYPE slis_t_sortinfo_alv.
    l_s_sort-subtot    = 'X'. for the field for which totals are calculated.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help required on APO report

    Hi.. I m developing an APO object for the first time. It's a Report.
    Please explain me the logic... it's an APO development.
    First answer a few questions of mine, before getting into the logic.
    1. how do we fetch data from APO database? Using normal SELECT query, or.. ?? Please give an example.
    2. what does " Characteristic ‘ZTIL’ for MPOS ‘ZB_TRL’ STRUCTURE: /BIC/VZB_TRL2 " mean?? It's given in the Source System Table column of Func. Spec., from where I have to Select the field ZTIL.
    3. Can u give me a comparison of normal R/3 dbase, and the APO database? And, in what fashion the data is stored.
    4. Please give me useful links that will help me in APO development.
    To explain you a bit about the Data Element Cross Reference section of the report..
    There are 2 tables given for each field, one related to RL and other related to TC planning area, except those fields whose Source Table is " Characteristic ‘ZTIL’ for MPOS ‘ZB_TRL’ STRUCTURE: /BIC/VZB_TRL2 ". So, the Data Element Cross Reference section is a combination of fields that come from 2 tables each & and fields that come from " Characteristic ‘ZTIL’ for MPOS ‘ZB_TRL’ STRUCTURE: /BIC/VZB_TRL2 ".
    Q: Can u tell me why 2 tables are given for a single field?
    Q: How do we work with a single field from 2 tables?
    Now, coming to the logic of the development..
    Logic required wherein IDENTICAL Material numbers in both RL / TC planning areas are flagged as exceptions.
    The logic has to be written for a field, which comes from two source tables. In the output of the report, this field should show 'RL' if it comes from the table related to RL planning area, and should show 'TC', if it comes from the TC planning area table. Now, we have MATNR in " Characteristic ‘ZMT’ for MPOS ‘ZB_TRL’ STRUCTURE: /BIC/VZB_TRL2 ". So, what logic should be applied so that it shows identical MATNRs in RL and TC rows, in output??
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Thanks so much for replying to my Query, Priya...
    The functional Consultant is saying that MPOS is not a table, also, the terms which I had referred to as TABLES in my post, are not tables, it seems. These are Live Cache data, he says.
    Do you have any idea what Live Cache is, and how to deal with it(access data from it)?
    When I searched for Live Cache access related info today. I found out that, to read data from Live Cache, you need to use SAP delivered Standard BAPIs. Please share some knowledge about it.
    Priya, it would be good if you could give me your Yahoo Chat ID, as I m badly in need of help. I will be online 9 - 6 PM, India Standard Time. My Yahoo ID is puerto_rico_thug555
    Thanks again..

    Hi,
    The below blog lists out the configurations for TPM.
    >http://sapcrmtutorial.blogspot.de/2012/07/tpm-trade-promotion-management.html
    Also, go through below link.

  • Urgent help required related to login management

    Dear Friends,
    I have a requirement in which i am stuck.
    i would like to explain with a example
    The requirement is a unique login in a web application.
    Say a user has logged in with a name [  tom ] on machine 1.
    Now the user with the name [ tom ] should be allowed to be logged in from other machine say machine 2 and only if the user with [ tom ] has logged off from machine 1 then only we can log in with the user name
    [ tom ] from on machine 2.
    How is it possible in a web application using jsp servlets and form beans.
    Thanks in advance and replies are invited . Its a urgent matter.

    Hi Raj,
    The best solution what i think would be is as follows
    Every infotype will have a customer include starts with CI_P* which gives the capacity to include the new customer fields.
    Eg : for P0001 it is CI_P0001.
    we need to create a custom screen to handle the custom field. You can check the table T582C for the custom screens.Then your new custom screen is included to the infotypes in the above said table.
    Once the Customer include is enhanced and added a field, then we need to go and do the field level configuration to make sure that the  your new field appears when you go to specific infotype in PA30.
    Make sure the custom field is a Input field. If it is not the Input field you BDC will fail.
    Hope this helps. If so reward.
    Thanks
    Shyam

  • Help required with oracle user management

    My requirement is to hide the developer toolbar that shows at the bottom of all the pages in the application. This happens when I log into the application as an administrator or a developer. When I try logging in as an end user, who does not have developer or administrator privileges, I get a message saying that " Access denied by application security check". This problem does not depend on whether I use apex security or database security for my application, in both the cases, as soon as I login to the worksapce with a user account, this message is displayed. Please help me out. Any sort of help will be appreciated.

    Hi Shantanu
    When you log in to the workspace, the URL will end with something like: /pls/htmldb/f?p=4550 (it may also end with /pls/htmldb/htmldb_login)
    To log in to your application, you need to change the final number to the number of your application. For example, if your application is number 105, then change the end of the URL to: /pls/htmldb/f?p=105.
    Your application should have a login page (typically, Page 101) which should be loaded as soon as the user tries to get to your application.

  • Help required in ISA user management

    Hi! Gurus..........
    I have created an BP in the role contact person and for this BP I have created an internet user , the internet user is created and the role is also asigned to it...............now the issue is when I am going to the transaction BP the address in displayed for this BP as well as in  transaction SU01, but when I am going to ISA user management its not showing the address for this BP created..............
    Please provide ur valuable inputs so that i can proceed futher...I am really new to this so please try to understand the question..

    I found this in a thread written by Gerhard Djuracek from SAP, perhaps it will help you:
    We distinguish 3 categories of addresses.
    Addresscategory 1, address for organisations
    Addresscategory 2, address for persons
    Addresscategory 3, address on a relationship.
    The address on a relationship is built of an address from an organisation. But it's not the whole address from that specific organisation, it's only, let's call it the postal part. Things like street, city, postal code and so on. The name part is taken from the person, which is involved in that relationship.
    So we have here a mixture of Addresscategory 1 and Addresscategory 2. The communication data, we have only 3 communication categories on a
    relationship, phone, fax and E-Mail address, is not taken from the organisation or the person's address. The communication data used on a relationship, is that one, which you can maintain in the section address data after having assigned an address to the relationship.
    Any changes on any comm data of the organisation, will have no effect on the comm data of the relationship. Only changes on the address of the organisation, which will effect those fields, we called above the postal part of an address, will be taken into account for the address on the relationship.
    In CRM, the contact person is a business partner of type person and can have many addresses of type 2, but only the standard address is
    exchanged with the home address in the R/3 system.  If you create a relationship of category 'contact person', you can have an address of type 3 for every address of the customer, but only the standard address of type 3 is exchanged with the contact person's address of type 3 in R/3.
    The concept of the business address does not exist in CRM. If a contact person is working for different customers, you create different relationships of category 'contact person' instead of creating a business address.
    Hope this information is helpful.
    Regards, Gerhard

  • Migrating SQL Management Data Warehouse to a new server

    Is there a defined path for migrating a Managment Data Warehouse to a instance?
    Does Microsoft provide any scripts for this? Is it a case of backing up and restoring databases to the new instance? And what about all the data collection sets running on the monitored instances? Do we have to re-point these to the new instance hosting
    the MDW individually by logging on teach monitored instance? Or can we do this globally somehow?
    Thanks.

    Hi NiborTrassam,
    Sorry the delay.
    To migrate the Management Data Warehouse, you can back up the MDW database, and restore it on the new instance. Then, on the new instance, you need to start the Configure Management Data Warehouse Wizard to create a Management Data Warehouse based on the
    migrated MDW database, as well as upgrade the login mapping if necessary.
    On each instance that is monitored, you need to start the Configure Management Data Warehouse Wizard to setup new data collection to point to the MDW data warehouse on the new instance.

  • Using BIPublisher excel template in ADF application

    Hi everyone,
    Like the subject, I want to export excel reports from an **excel template** within ADF application. After searching around, I found **ExcelProcessor** class seem to be able to do the job, but it got no docs. And forums like this don't have much information. So I wonder if this job can be done smoothly using supported class, or we have to use another solution, like create a RTF template and use it instead?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    VnMa

    Hi Puthanampatti ,
    RTF is fine. But it don't have features that excel format support: the multi-sheets reports, freeze cell ability, formulas, comments... Just thinking it's really great if we can use an excel template directly.

  • SSRS 2012 - Groups in Report Manager aren't present when exported to Excel

    Hi all, hope somebody can help with this issue, as I cant seem to find any other posts about it
    I have a report in SSRS2012. It was copied from SSRS2005 quite recently, as we have upgraded. The SQL developer said that it didn't need any code changes, as he had some kind of tool to test code problems between the two versions.
    The report has a table, with 5 row groups, and one detail row. The table is setup as follows:
    Name                                         Sales
    Costs       Profit
    Group1
       Group2
          Group3
             Group4
                Group5
                   DetailsRow
    When I run this report using the Report Manager website from SSRS2005, and then export to Excel 2013, I get the 6 row groups in Excel, no problem whatsoever. I can drill into each group in Excel, using the group drilldown column on the left hand side. This
    works the same as the Report Manager website.
    If I run the exact same report from the Report Manager website in SSRS2012, the Report Manager result is the same as SSRS2005 - all the row groups are present, and the drilldown works fine. However, the export to Excel has issues with the groups. There are
    only 3 row groups showing in Excel, along with a column group added for no apparent reason. Drilling into each group shows inconsistent details, and there is no apparent logic as to what is shown within each group.
    Hopefully, someone has seen this issue before, and can help, because I have no idea what to do, having spent a couple of days trying to figure it out. I should also mention, that this issue with groups is seen on all my reports which have groups, not just
    this report
    Thanks for any and all help
    Naz

    Hi Naz,
    According to your description, the report works correctly in SSRS 2005 while the same report doesn’t work in SSRS 2012 when exporting to a Excel file.
    In your scenario, please make sure you are migrating the report from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2012 instead of copying the .rdl directly. Generally, we are using Reporting Services Migration Tool to migrate reports between report server. Please refer to this article:
    SQL Server Reporting Services: Migrating SSRS reports, data sources and subscriptions from one server to another.
    After migrating the report successfully, you should upgrade the report definition in SQL Server Data Tools to upgrade the .rdl file. Please refer to this article:
    Upgrade Reports.
    If you have upgraded the report but the issue still persists, please provide report design for our analysis. If possible, please provide some screenshots about the preview result and Excel render result.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    Hi Leo22,
    Does this error occur if you use any of the example programs that come shipped with LabVIEW? I would try opening one of the examples that write data to Word and see if those give you an error. Also, have you tried just putting down a New Report.VI and change the report type to Word? If this simple vi (that's all you need to open Word) breaks, I would check to see if there are any instances of Word still open. Check the task manager to see if any word processes are still open. There should not be a problem accessing Word 2003 from LabVIEW 7.0. If neither of these solutions work, please give some more detail about your application and we can research further. Thanks!
