Help required: add field to reference tab of IL02

Dear All,
My requirement is to add a new field to the reference tab of the functional location. (IL02). I could see the documents linked to the functional location as type,document, document part etc.
Now, I need to add one more field. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I have seen the exit.
But, my problem is that I need to have a screen just exactly like the one in the reference tab, with an additional custom field. So Do I have to build a new subscreen that emulates the standard functionality, and add a custom field?
Also, I have seen that another person has used subscreen 1000 of the function group XT0B. Now if I create one more screen 1001 to hold this custom data, how do I assign this to the view profile of the functional location. I mean what sequence number should I use, 150 is used already.

You better to copy the program RIPLKO10 to ZRIPLKO10.
You can make all modifications, what you want.
Add selection fields, select data and print data out.

Dear All,
I have a question.
I need to add certain fields to the selection criteria of transaction IA09.
I dont find any enhancement available for the same.
So, I plan to copy the standard program and modify the same.
But the program already has some implicit enhancements implemented.
Do these work if I copy the program? Any risks associated?
And, If you come across any enhancement/BADI that fits my requirement, please let me know
so that I can avoid copying and modifying the program.

Add fields in item tab PO Reference in tx MIRO

Hi, I need to add 4 fields in the table control of PO reference Tab (DRSEG) in tx MIRO, the user depending of the value (read only) of this new fields knows if he has to change the import or not.
I saw that there is a BADI MRM_ITEM_CUSTFIELDS, but this BADI adds me a totally new TAB in tx MIRO.
so there a way of just adding fields in the table control of the PO reference TAB and how I fill that fields (because there are´t standard I have to fill the values)

Yes it is possible, but we are talking a modification of SAP standard here. Also the effort needed will be at least 10 times higher than using EEWB as you have to reprogram all generated code / screen helps that SAP provides. Moreover these fields are then still not exchanged with the interfaces / BDocs etc which will be also some more days of work. There is no usable documentation on this - at least not by SAP and I am not aware of another one. It is much easier to create an EEWB enhancement and then move the fields from one tab to another.
Doing this all by hand is like adding a second processor to an existing motherboard for more performance compared to exchanging the existing one with one of higher specifications.This is possible, but requires a) more work/time/material b) more experience c) you lose warranty d) in the end you do not know for sure what the outcome will be

I need to know how to populate the RefSpec field under Reference Tab in CG02 from an ABAP program.
I was able to populate the Identifiers tab and the physical/chemical properties using the FM C1E5_SUB_EXPERT_DATA_CHANGE.
Can i populate the Reference tab using the same FM? if yes, which parameter/table should i pass the value.

Hello all
as explained it is always better to use the BADIs. The Function modules are internally used (form the SAP perspective). If you perform later SAP updates/upgrades etc. you are on the save side if you use the BADIs and if you try to prepare an OSS you will be supported. If you try to prepare an OSS regarding the function module in most cases you will not be sucessful.
But may be take a look here:

The use of the BAPIs is still not easy.

Add field in 'Subsequent Outbound Delivery Split' subscreen in VT01N tcode

My Requirement:
Add field STFAK in the report in 'Subsequent Outbound Delivery Split' subscreen in VT01N transaction. This field is to be added in Structure LEDSPD_LIST_ITEM, and value in it is to be mapped from MARA-STFAK.
Steps to the Subscreen 'Subsequent Outbound Delivery Split' :
1. Transaction:VT01N. Enter TransportPlanningPt and Shipment type
2. Click on 'Deliveries' button. A subscreen for 'Select Outbound Deliveries' pops up
3. Click on Execute. A list of deliveries is retrieved
4. Select a delivery. Click on 'Split Deliveries' button. Subscreen 'Subsequent Outbound Delivery Split' pops up.
Issue:
I have added the field in the structure LEDSPD_LIST_ITEM. However, it is not displayed on the report generated in 'Subsequent Outbound Delivery Split' subscreen in VT01N transaction.
Also, to map the value in this field, I need to make changes in the program/screen exit/BADI. I am unable to find the exact program/screen exit/BADI where I can make the changes.
Request to Experts:
I have referred several posts on SDN, but have not found anything of relevance. I am debugging also since quite some time, but am yet to come to a relevant solution. Please guide me to a solution for this issue.

Requirement to add new field in Location Tab of Service order

We have a requirement in which it is needed to add anew field in Location Tab of Equipment and Service order. For Equipment part , we have added the field via Enhancement ITOB0001 and activating the field via "Set View Profile for Technical Objects".
But for Service order part, we are not able to add the new field in the Location tab , please suggest how can we achieve this.

If you are not particular about having it in Location tab use Screen-Exit provided in the Enhancement IWO10018 to add an additional tab to host your custom fields. as under:
ABAPer will be able to readily follow these steps
Steps will be,
1. Create a Data type to capture the your custom values. (SE11)
2. Include your Zfield (with this datatype) through in the include structure CI_AUFK of the Order Header table (AUFK)
3. Create a project with Tcode CMOD and assign the enhancement above (IWO10018)
4. Go to Components and Click on Screen Exit
5. Here Go to Screen-painter (Blue Arrow named Layout) , Create your Field screen-box, field Text field and field Input field. In the field input field Name you should use the above Zfield details (table-field)
6.Activate the project CMOD and come-out.
Run IW31, you will see an additional tab like shown above. But here the field is nothing.
We haven''t told the system what is to be filled here.
For this in continuation to the above steps between 5 and 6, insert this step.
5a. Write your code in Function Exits : EXIT_SAPLCOIH_018 and EXIT_SAPLCOIH_019 of the same enhancement (IWO10018.)
Code to be written in exit 18:
move-corresponding COCI_AUFK_IMP to AUFK.
Code to be written in exit 19:
move-corresponding aufk to COCI_AUFK_exp.
After this exercise your Z-field will be visible in the Enhancement Tab as shown in the picture in the beginning. Now your values will be saving to AUFK table.
So, this is completely an ABAPer job.

This is a challenging task as an ABAPer to confront to..
We are in the midst of a requirement where we have to add a custom field in the PO Header. But the requirement is to add the field in Documents Tab in PO Header Data as found in the following path of SRM Webpage :
Operational Purchaser > Purchase Orders > Process Purchase Order > Select a PO > Header Data > Documents.
As guided by "Note 672960 - User-defined fields 2" , on executing all the steps of the note the field is getting added, but in the Basic Data Tab of the PO. But this doesnt meet the client requirement.
Anybody having some solution to this, shall be greatly awarded.

Hi Vikas,
You can define a Text ID in Header data with F4 help. But the list of values will be fixed, but configurable. This will exactly solve your problem. This will be quite simple and straight forward solution with no custom developments.
Please Navigate to
SAP Implementation Guide -> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server
-> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Text Schema
1. Define Text Types
Select BBP_PD and double click text id. Add a new text id here.
2. Define Text Schema
Select PO and add the newly created text id and set required parameters.
3. Define Fixed Values for Texts
Select your PO transaction type and maintain the required values for F4 help / drop down.

Hello Jacky,
To combine all the answers above and have a topic-based reply please go through the below steps:
#1. Inactivate the current extension field Company (I see it is actually a String value and this is not what you want to have)
#2. Go to Setup -> System Setup -> Extension Reference Types
Check if you already have a Company reference type
If not, create a new Extension Reference Type for Class Company. Fill in all required information.
#3. Create a new Extension Attribute
Select Data Type: Object Reference
Now you can add the Company type as reference

You Cannot add the custom fields directly in the standard Tab, You can add it only in the custom tab. Generally SAP allows to add the custome fields in the separate tab in the standard screen like 'Customer data tab in case of ME21N transaction'. So if you want to add the custom fields you can add them under this tab only.
For Header.
The tab name is : Customer Data.
The Exit Function Modules are: 1.EXIT_SAPMM06E_006
                                                  2.EXIT_SAPMM06E_007
                                                  3.EXIT_SAPMM06E_008.
The CI Includes are : CI_EKKODB.
For Item
The tab name is : Customer Data.
The Exit Function Modules are: 1.EXIT_SAPMM06E_016
                                                  2.EXIT_SAPMM06E_017
                                                  3.EXIT_SAPMM06E_018.
The CI Includes are : CI_EKPODB.

Add custom field under specific tab

I have a requirement to add a new custom field to the 'change bid invitation screen' in bids/bidders tab(SRM 5.0). I am new to SRM but I understand that to add a new custom field we have to append structure the structure 'INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_BID'. But if i append this way, the field appears in the screen under basic data whereas i need the field under the tab bids/bidders tab after I have added a bidder. Is there any way to influence in which tab the custom field is displayed?

using SE80 you can add your fields with subscreens
SAPLXM06 0101 for Headerfields
SAPLXM06 0111 for Items.
This will add a tab in ME2..N.
if you want your own Text on the tabstrip just edit the Textsymbols
101 and 111 from SAPLXM06.
At output you have to open a module asking the gl_aktyp to switch edit/display mode.

Custom fields not displayed inside 'Add. fields' tab of KS01/KS02 tcodes

I have created a new sub screen 0999 inside program SAPLXKM1 . This subscreen is being called from PBO of screen 0399 / 3399 of SAPLKMA1. During cost center creation (KS01) , one new tab 'Add. fields ' has been added but 0999 screen fields are not being displayed (tab page is blank).
CALL CUSTOMER-SUBSCREEN custflds INCLUDING 'SAPLXKM1' '0999'.
Enhancement : COOMKS01.
Please help what i have missed in this enhancement. Please let me know if there is any step step documentation for the same.

Hi Abhi,
Try using any one option:
Create a Search Help in SE11.
Now Goto SE11 -> Enter Ztable -> Select that field -> Click Search Help and try to assign the created Search help to that field in your Ztable explicitly
OR
Create a Zdata element in SE11.
In Data Element, under Further Characteristics tab, enter Name Parameters of Search Help.
Assign this data element to that field in ur Ztable.
OR
Create a Zdomain and maintain a Value Table or Fixed Values for it.
Assign this domain to that field in ur Ztable.
