Help required for setting up TOMCAT for a particular application?
Hello Everyone,
Can we have 2 ROOT directories in TOMCAT/webapps folder? For ex. ROOT and ROOT1.
Both the folder contains different set of jsp files but same web.xml file.
Can you suggest any other alternative.

i am actualy attempting to build a loading frame for applying loads to a very small specimen. since the applied loads are going to be very small, i wonder whether a feedback is essential or optional for me. i do believe, however, that since i will be using a stepper motor, i might just be able to afford neglecting the inclusion of encoders for feedback.
i would be glad if you could comment on the attached diagram and kindly advise as to how i might improve on the conections i have made. the idea i have in mind is to measure the load applied by the motor using the load cell and also determine the displacement using the LVDT....thereafter, i would want to record the data using an A to D in a computer. the spring has been included in order to control the process of loading the specimen...the whole arrangement is intended to perform similar to a Universal Testing Machine, albeit in a mucu smller scale....
from your response to my last message, i am guessing that the SCB-68 is not of much use to me.....i would also be glad if you could kindly tell me the difference between the "Digital I/O" and "Motion I/O" terminals on the FW7344... currently, i have connected the UMI 7764 to the Motion I/O terminal of the FW7344 and have not figured out how i might use the Digital I/O terminal at all....kindly do enlighten regading that matter too...

Making a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function

How do we make a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function.
I don't want to make this field required from core applications(System administrator), but only for a function.
kindly give Suggestions..I understand that this is a issue, as a workaround you can do this for your page alone.
1. Get the handle to the flex bean segment in your page
2. make it required.
This is what the devguide says
1. Find the flex bean by attribute name and call processFlex() on the flex bean.
2. Call getIndexedChild(int) to extract the TextBeans from the flex bean and do whatever you want.

Manager will run on the same server and use shared system resources. Oracle
Functional Test/OpenScript is a separate application that have its own memory
and CPU requirements.

operating systems. It is possible for Oracle Application Testing Suite to be installed
on an existing WebLogic server. However, if the pre-installed WebLogic server is
JRockit plus WebLogic (64-bit) environment, some functions in Oracle Application
Testing Suite will not work properly. Oracle Application Testing Suite can be
installed on a 32-bit WebLogic, but not a 64-bit.
■ The legacy Oracle Functional Testing, VB-based scripting platform and associated
components (such as Job Scheduler) are no longer included with the ATS installer
Note: These are minimum requirements only and actual
requirements for Oracle Test Manager will vary depending on the
quantity of test assets stored and number of concurrent users
accessing the application. If you have a large quantity of test cases,
requirements or issues stored and/or are deploying Oracle Test

Hi,
I am using Weblogic 6. I have created a new Web
Application called Web (I have not used the DefaultWebApp_myserver).
And I have the following settings:
Name : Web
URI : Web
and Path : C:\Web
and placed my JSP files under c:\Web\
I am able to access the first page, but after that I am not able to access the
second page.
I get "Error 404--Not Found" on the browser. Basically the class file is not getting
created under /Web-inf/_tmp_war_myserver_myserver_Web/jsp_servlet/ folder .
I tried a work around for this. I copied all my files under one more folder called
web and placed this under C:\Web
The it works. Now I have 2 copied off all the files, 1 copy under c:\web and another
copy under c:\web\web\.
If I have the files under DefaultWebApp_myserver and have the setting as
Name: DefaultWebApp_myserver
URI: DefaultWebApp_myserver
Path: .\config\mydomain\applications
everything works fine.
Can any one please let me know if there is any configuration which has to be done
so that I do not duplicate the code in 2 directories

Hi,

No data in Application failure Analysis report for a particular application alone.

We are not able to get the data in Application Failure Analysis report from Appadvisor for a particular application(say ABC) alone, whereas it works fine for different application. Also,we could get the data from other reports(such

Does this application have any failure alerts?
You may also look into operation manager even logs to check is there any errors or warnings.

Is it possible to control and change the status of the notification center in iPhone for a particular application.
1) In the application push notification is implemented.
2) Once this application is installed we can see the app in the notification center.
3) There is an option to ON or OFF
4) In the application we need an option to check if the above option is ON or OFF.
5) If the option is OFF we need to provide the user an alert stating that in the notification center has it option off and here we have to provide an option to user to switch ON the option at the notification center.Well, I could find a fix for that.
My mistake was that 1: I wasn't getting the correct ntype code for my value list type. And 2: I wasn't giving the Id name.
The new result came as this:

Help required for unicode compatibilty

We are in a process of analyzing the impact of unicode compatibility for our environment.
Following is our scenario:
- ECC6.0 is non unicode systsem
- Need to buid unicode CRM 7, SCM 7, PI 7.1 and BI7
- Need to integrate the above systems to non unicode ECC system.
Our questions are :
1. Is there any performance consideration when using communication between an Unicode and non-Unicode system?
Is Unicode - Unicode faster than Unicode - non-Unicode communication performance wise?
2. Do we face any technical or functinal problems while trying to integrate
unicode BI/ NW Java Stack to non unicode systems.
3. Do we need to review our sizing estimations due to unicode implemenation?
5. what will be the storage consumption increase for unicode systems compared to non unicode?
It would be greatly helpful for me if you can clarify these doubts.

1. I think no one has really measured this. I expect a slightly higher requirement for Unicode <--> Non-Unicode interfaces.
2. Please have a look at SAP Notes 838402, 73606, 975768 and 1358929 for restrictions in Non-Unicode systems. SAP highly recommends to go for Unicode in the whole landscape.
3. and 5. If you use the SAP quicksizer (http://service.sap.com/quicksizing), then Unicode is integrated.

For 810 i think the procedure would be the same but themseeburger mapping program that validates the ANSX 810 would be different.As far as 997is concerned 997 is a functional acknowledgement.Its a genric format that is used to send acknowledgement for any EDI transaction set that has been sent.
3. Can anybody provide me Mapping Logic (at field level) done in XI/PI for 850, 810 , Dispatch Advice (IDOC type DESADV) .
The logic will be based on the trading partner guidelines which will contain the description of all the semantic and syntactiic description about the segments ,its feilds.we need to consider the guidelines and target side specifications too while mapping.

CAT2 - Help required for changing data
The requirement I have is, if the data is entered for a particular activity type in CAT2, and if it exceeds the default hours alloted for that week, the extra hours need to be split into different activity types.
Say, this is the data entered: (Max of 35 Hrs per week as per IT0007) (Click on the link below to see sample data!)

(The value for Thu is 5 and not 6 in the initial entry.)
The data has to remain exact until it reaches 35 hours and then the extra hours need to be split and entered in a different activity type. (BU is also counted as regular working hours and value for BU is to remain same)
I tried using the user-exit CATS0002 but since the user exit gets only the value of a single cell at a time, I am not able to process the data for my requirement. and this user exit is triggered only for the cells where the value is changed... if the data is already entered and the user changes some cell, I don't get the whole data entered and hence, I can't modify the already existing data on the timesheet.
Has anyone coded for a similar scenario? Your help will be really appreciated.
P.S: I am working on ECC 6.0Hi Nazim,
There is an user-exit for validating the whole time sheet (I think it is nr. 6, but I am not sure), in this one you could check all the hours, but I am not sure if it will suffice for your requirement.

Help Required For DropDownByIndex and Table
Hi All,
Could anybody help me to solve my problem?
Actualy I am working with one DropDownByIndex and two
Tables.Where within one viewset DropDown
box and one Table(say Table1) are in one view and
another one table(say Table2) is in other view.
DropDown box is maped with one attribute suppose
countryName and and Table1 is maped with collageName
and locationName. So, when I will select the DropDown
with one countryName then the table1 will show all the
available collageName and locationName with multiple
row.
In other view I mean the Table2 is bind with
availableCourse and courseDuration this two
attributes. So whin I will click one row of Table1
that means one collegeName is selected then the
Table2 will show the availableCourse and
courseDuration for that particular college. When I
will select next row of Table1 then the value of
Table2 will be different.
Could anybody help me by sending the code and
details?

SudipOne way is to get lead selected of drop down index , then get lead selected of table1 and pass it via a method to wdDoInit in the 3rd view so that you know what has been clicked in table1 and then accordingly get the data in table2.
Another way you can do this is to map the tables and drop down index to value nodes and create them in the component controller and then map these value nodes to the respective views. Now when your table2 view is triggered you get the lead selected in the value node of the table1 and accordingly generate the table2. -

I mean if there is no data for a particular date within the given range. it should display some null value.
Eg.

The query is

To answer your first question:
If you have Oracle9i you can do this using a PIPELINED function to act as a pivot table (in earlier versions you will have to have a table of some description - ALL_OBJECTS will do in a pinch).
