Help needed in RTF form field to display yes or no based on xml value
Hi,
I have the data in xml as follows: <CP_ZERO_COST>2</CP_ZERO_COST>
Now my requirement is, if CP_ZERO_COST is 2 then the column should display 'No' and if CP_ZERO_COST is 1 the column should display 'Yes'. Now this 'yes' or 'no' is not coming in xml tag. I need to do that in RTF form field.
Could anyone please tell me how to do that?
Please help.
ThanksTry this:
<?choose:?>
<?when: CP_ZERO_COST = 2?><?'NO'?>
<?end when?>
<?when: CP_ZERO_COST = 1?><?'Yes'?>
<?end when?>
<?otherwise?><?CP_ZERO_COST?> --- You don't have to include this if the only possible values are 1 and 2.
<?end otherwise?>
<?end choose?>
You can also use if then else logic. Ensure that you specify the correct path to get to CP_ZERO_COST
Thanks! -
Help Required for Adobe Forms.....
Hello All,
I have a very unique requirement as such we have a form and in the "TO" string field where we specify the email address of the receivers, now we want to send address memo to multiple users, however in our search window we can search only one name at a time & need to open search window every time for every new user to be included in the address field. We need to have AJAX type of functionality such as AJAX does asynchronous calls to the back-end and get help values dynamically even when the user is entering help values.
In my case if I start typing S in the manager filed, an event should get triggered and return back the names of all managers who start with the letter S,
If we go to Google.com and start typing, as you type,e Google gets help values and displays them below the input field. This is based on making asynchronous calls to the back-end.
We want to send interactive adobe forms to the multiple users for their approval or information. while entering email ids of multiple users, we need to have functionality as described above.
I'll appreciate if anyone can help with some clear steps, document link or working code sample etc.
Regards,
Moderator message: sorry wrong forum, please have a look in the forum for "Adobe Interactive Forms".

Hi Experts,
Please assist in the javascript coding part of Adobe Forms in SAP.
Requirement - Filter the values of second dropdown list based on the selected value in first dropdown list.
Say for Example - First dropdown list has Company Code values. If we select a company code in first dropdown list, then the corresponding Plant based on selected company code should display on second dropdown list.
Thanks in Advance.

Also, if uname had a single quote such as O'Conner, the originial sql statement would fail unless you properly escape the single quote. With preparedStatements, you dont have to escape it. I also believe preparedStatements are less suseptable to sql injection attacks.You are correct, prepared statements are the best thing since sliced bread. They are:
- easier to read and write
- easier to debug
- run faster if used more than once
- and are not susceptible to SQL injection attacks, this is especially important if the data being used in the parameter came in over the internet.
I always use them, even when they might be slightly less efficient, eg. where I build the SQL right before I prepare it and then never use it again. -

I have to create forms with following Details.
Order Level:
1) Order number
2) Orderdate
3) Number of lines
4) Total Ordered Amount
5) Total Backordered Amount
6) Order Status
Line Level:
1) Order Number
2) Back Order Line number
3) Back ordered Item
4) Amount
Form Order level must have a button which invokes the Line level window and displays the Back ordered line details for specific order.
I have done both order level and line level forms. I have used 2 views for above said forms, but when i query for a record in order level and press the button which will show the line level details is not working i,e i have manually query for record in line level form, it is not automating the process. Please suggest
Thanks and Regards,
MaheshI got the solution. I had missed out execute_query which will automatically executes the backend query when we click a button.
Thanks and Regards,

Help required debugging a 9.0.4 form using WebUtil(1.0.6)
Hi
I have installed and configured WebUtil(106) on the application server and client side. I took a working form and changed the TEXT_IO calls to CLIENT_TEXT_IO and also attached the WebUtil.olb and WebUtil.pll libraries. The form compiles ok but when I run it from within developer I see the message applet started but the form never appears and no errors are reported.
Can anyone help me out with this? The difficulty is not getting any errors reported to help with the fault finding.I've put the webutil settings under the [default] named configuration. Here are all the settings from the client formsweb.cfg.
Theses settings for baseHTMLjinitiator, baseHTMLjpi and baseHTML are declared twice but I assumed that the webutil settings would override the previous ones.
# $Id: formsweb.cfg,v 1.24 2003/08/22 01:07:35 pkuhn Exp $
# formsweb.cfg defines parameter values used by the FormsServlet (f90servlet)
# This section defines the Default settings. Any of them may be overridden in the
# following Named Configuration sections. If they are not overridden, then the
# values here will be used.
# The default settings comprise two types of parameters: System parameters,
# which cannot be overridden in the URL, and User Parameters, which can.
# Parameters which are not marked as System parameters are User parameters.
# SYSTEM PARAMETERS
# These have fixed names and give information required by the Forms
# Servlet in order to function. They cannot be specified in the URL query
# string. But they can be overriden in a named configuration (see below).
# Some parameters specify file names: if the full path is not given,
# they are assumed to be in the same directory as this file. If a path
# is given, then it should be a physical path, not a URL.
# USER PARAMETERS
# These match variables (e.g. %form%) in the baseHTML file. Their values
# may be overridden by specifying them in the URL query string
# (e.g. "http://myhost.mydomain.com/servlet/f90servlet?form=myform&width=700")
# or by overriding them in a specific, named configuration (see below)

Hi Everybody,
I'm having a Struts application that uses DynaValidatorForm for performing Validations.
The basic flow is like this -> I've got a home page, then a login page (action -> register.do) & a third page (action -> authenticate.do) which is displayed after authenticating the user.
I'm trying to re-direct the user to the home page once he directly accesses /authenticate.do
For this, in the Action class of /register, I'd defined a session attribute & set a value to it.
Then, in the Action class of /authenticate, I'm checking for the session attribute. If not present, I'm re-directing the user to home page.........
The problem that I'm facing is that when I directly access /authenticate.do, the application is not getting re-directed & instead, it is displaying error messages that User name & password (the 2 fields present in my login page) are required..........
The <action> tag of /authenticate.do has got validate="true" & hence it seems that validation occurs before re-directing....
Therefore, can someone tell me why is the application not posting the form to Action class of /authenticate........
Thanx in advance.....

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP
Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?
Thanks

hello,
i have just downloaded oracle 10g softwares ...
i installed database then developer suite ... everything was fine ... until i was unable to run forms ...
a friend of mine told me that i need to install application server in order to run forms ...
1st of all i want to know that is there any way i can run forms without using Oracle AS 10g ...
2ndly i m facing problems in installation of Oracle AS 10g ...
i have studied online documentation but it ain't so helpfull for me ...
it seems like ... i have to install "Oracle AS infrastructure" first and then "Middle-tier: Business Intelligence and forms" ...
i m using P-IV (AMD Athlon XP 2100+, MMX, 1.7GHz Processor) with 512 MB DD RAM and Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 as Operating System.
During installation, the installer is warning dat only "Oracle Application Server (J2EE and Web Cache)" and "Oracle Application Server Developer Kits" are supported installations on dis platform ...
what should i do ... urgent help required ...
regards,
yasir ([email protected])@ brusardl and rkogelhe
thanx for replying ...
brusardl
i didn't changed da port while installing Oracle AS ...
inspite i stopped all services using/listening from dat port ...
now ... i guess there has been some conflict ... as database listner stops automatically just after starting !!!
rkogelhe
can u plz tell me what is BI version of Forms ...
and can i view forms running on web without installing Oracle AS with OC4J bundled in Forms ???
Another Problem:
I re-installed Database, Developer suite and then Oracle AS infrastructure ...
everthing went fine ...
when i installed Oracle AS Middle Tier - Business Intelligence & Forms
during installation ... some configuration assistants failed/skipped ...
da OC4J configration assistant at 5th last position failed ... so remaining 4 configuration assistants were skipped ...
at da end it said ... Installation Succesfull but with some configuration assistants failed/skipped ...
is dis a installation useless ... can i fix dis ?

Help Links in HCM Forms and Process
Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where we need to open a pop-up window when user clicks on help link on
Adobe forms . For this, we have created a Web dynpro Application and whatever application URL we are getting
We are passing to the Help Link UI element like below.
app.launchURL(URL, true);
when user clicks on the help link that webdynpro application is opening.
But the issue is user donu2019t want to see these URL bar, tool bar , action bar.
So is it possible to hide these URL bar, tool bar , action bar when the application is launching.
It should launch just as a window. If it is possible please let me know.
Thanks,
santoshWhy are you doing all of that? Why not simply use the "additional info" configuration to supply the needed URLs? In this way, you will NEVER have to modify the forms if/when a URL changes or more are needed. It is simply a configuration change. Also, you can make these links specific to the current user of that form step and still be able to share the SAME form among users (ie. an HR Admin does not care to see "Manager Help Link" on a form that they possibly share with managers from a previous step). You are creating much more of a headache and maintenance nightmare for yourself.
Now, that said.....second question....why in the world are you calling some WDA from the form to then launch a URL??!?!?! You can simply place a URL link on the form. Via script, you can also set the window parameters to tell the URL to launch in a new browser window without any toolbars, status bars, etc. Pretty basic Javascript is all you need....not some complicated WDA app. -

I have dropdown on infopath form , and it receives data from sql server table , it works fine when i am running in preview mode , but when i am publishing form to sharepoint server and loading that form
i am getting this
You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.
Can you please help?
Thanks,try this one, if not yet
Convert the data connection to UDC (store it in a Data Connection Library within the same site collection as the form library). See if this works without any other changes, but if not, then...
Manually edit your UDC file in Notepad (or your preferred editor) so that the authentication line is not commented out and so that it references the name of the SSO target app you created.
For Type, use NTLM.
Ensure the user has rights to access the database
Also ensure the connection file has been approved - A sharepoint admin can access a non approved Ucdx file. Go to the connection library and approve the file
Also check this post having the similar issue:
