Help required with an image
Hi all,
I wonder if someone can help me with the following issue.
If you see the attached image in the top left hand corner their is a square box which is a different shade to the rest of the header.
I need to rectify this and blend it in with the rest on the header colour; however, I do not know how to do this and would appreciate some assistance in doing this.
I'm a noobie to photoshop so any help is much appreciated.
It seems you've copied another portion of the texture to overlay something you didn't want seen...
As opposed to copy/paste of a rectangular region, this is almost a textbook use for Content Aware Fill, which should (assuming it works properly) match the pattern and blend the colors.
Try selecting just the blemish or whatever you're trying to cover, then expand the selection a few pixels, then Edit - Fill - Content Aware.

What is the size of your hard disk? PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine. Just a thought here.

I have successfully installed all of my creative cloud apps with the exception being acrobat.
I cannot print from Indesign to PDF.
I have unistalled, reinstalled and still no Adobe Acrobat.
I now have to go back to Windows 8 and create the PDF's there.
Any one know how to get around this issue?

KelvinOSX has effectively killed the ability to print to pdf, (print to pdf eliminates most of the "Rich features" of current pdf).
Export from InDesign, always, excpet for the 1% of the time where you know why print to pdf would produce a better result. -

Help required with connection / settings between a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum EX (soundcard) and a Creative DTT3500 Digital (5. speakers).
The problem
No sound from any of the speakers. (Exception can plug in headphones at front)
Background
My computer has been recently upgraded at my local computer shop and all programs re-installed (including driver update from Creative's website). However after reconnecting speakers and restoring the original settings I?m getting no sound from any of the speakers. I?ve followed all the available advice/instructions I can find on this website and manuals to no avail.
Set-up
Physical
(Digital DIN) Speakers/decoder amplifier (DTT3500) connected to the (digital out) soundcard (Audigy Platinum EX) using minijack to DIN cable. (As per instruction manual)
Software
Creative Audio Consul ? setting as per instructions, however have tried variations in vain. (Note: above tabs there is a select device box with SB Audigy [A0000] in it ? only option. Just wondering what [A0000] means?)

Do you have the original installation disk?
If so, try installing THOSE drivers, ESPECIALLY if it worked before. Be sure to uninstall what is there now, first.
Its natural for most people to want the 'latest' drivers for their hardware. However:

Help required with animation workflow
Hello!
I am embarking on my own private animation project, have almost neared the end of storyboarding, and am now sorting out the workflow. The finer points of which I am slightly hazy on, and would be deeply grateful for any insight that can be offered.
In terms of broad brush strokes, the workflow is this:
1. Begin with handpainted artwork
2. Scan in, and create individual elements using Photoshop
3. Import into After Effects and animate
4. Export from AE as HD media
5. Import offline media into FCP
6. Complete offline edit in FCP
7. Online grade in Color
8. Export graded image sequence from Color and
9. Export graded HD movie back into FCP to...
10. sync to completed sound and export final movie into various sizes and formats.
(The reason for also exporting an image sequence from Color is for the slim and distant possibility of going for a film-out.)
It's the finer points of _format of exchange_ between these stages that I'm getting tied up in knots over.
Originally I thought exporting image sequences from AE would be the best bet. I would then transcode to ProRes 422 for the offline, use *Cinema Tools* to keep track of this relationship, and to then co-ordinate the online into Color.
However, as I understand it, for Cinema Tools to work properly with the image sequence coming out of AE (i.e. the 'film negative'), it would need timecode. Yet I am deeply unsure if an image sequence can have timecode. While an image sequence file name would store frame numbers, could Cinema Tools work with just these?
This led me to consider the plug-in 'Glue Tools' and using the DPX format for exporting out of AE, which I believe would allow me to use timecode properly.
Or, am I just over complicating the whole process?
Should I just export out of AE as some 24p format, perform an offline with a ProRes 422, then using Media Manager simply create a duplicate of the project once a final cut is done and relink the clips to the original 24p video?
My experience in film so far has always been with a tapeless workflow, first with the RED camera then Genesis, and I've always left before the online.
So as I say, any insight offered would be a great help!

Help required in sending images to client
I have a java program that take snapshots of my screen at say 10 pics per second now i want these pics to be sent to another computer in the same order....

}It's been a while, but I know you can write a series of images to a file, then later read back that series of images. Why don't you work on doing this with file i/o first (easier to debug, and you can examine the file with standard image viewers), before sprinkling sockets on it?

Immediate help required with this job scheduling scenario
I have a job that needs to run a procedure hourly but not between 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Can anyone help me with how to schedule this job.If you use a window the job would only execute if the window opens. If for some reason the window did not open then the job would not execute.
Windows should be used to specify which resource plan should be active for the time interval.
In this case you are better off using FREQ=DAILY; BYHOUR=; and specify the hours. -

Help required with Image Field
Hi,
I have some 300 forms with image field set in them. I now need to import images into these image fields. The images are present on my local machine. If required i can upload these into my repository.
The issue is i am not able to create a batch process which will do this. Can some one please help me out with this issue.

One of the several possible ways:
1. keep your forms & images in folders within livecycle server.
2. create a process to read all these form and images and set the image content into Image field using XPATH expression (SetValue activity)

Hi - hoping someone can help.
I sent the attached PDF - http://www.sensecreative.co.uk/custUploads/SENSE-36-7977-95928/77317/SENSE-36-7977-95928-7 7317-2440.zip - to print with Sense Creative. The cards were printed and they've turned out quite visibly green on the reverse (where it should be white).
I've printed the artwork on several printers I have access to and it looks as it should, however SC are saying that the issue is with the artwork
"The green tinge you see on the reverse of these cards is prevalent in the artwork. The makeup of the background is approximately c-15 m-11 y-15 k-0. the predominant levels of the yellow and cyan will give you the green tint. Upping the levels of the artwork in or substituting the cyan, magenta and yellow levels with more black in Photoshop will likely give you the result you require. We are satisfied that in both instances, the artwork has printed correctly and the colours are well within tolerance given the nature of the artwork."
So, I'm in a bit of a pickle as the cards are needed for an event next week.
How do I change the image levels? Or are they talking nonsense and trying to pass the buck?

Acrobat View> Tools> Print Production> Output Preview: Object Inspector will call out the objects' profiles if you click on each one individually (in this case all appeaar to be "Device CMYK" or Untagged CMYK)
untagged CMYK has the same pitfalls as untagged RGB... if one applys or assumes the wrong SOURCE PROFILE it doesn't CONVERT colors to Monitor RGB or Print Space correctly -

A Friend of mine has a PC with windows on 2x Samsung 320gb HD's in Raid 0, one of the drives started to fail, so he put in his 1tb backup drive that he made a hd image using boot it dos software. He has now purchased 2x Corsair M4 128gb SSD's and made a volume Raid 0, when trying to backup from the 1tb drive the software says that a min hd of approx 320gb is required even though the total used on windows in only approx 140gb. and the new SSD volume is approx 240gb
The software is by terrabyte.
also when we did a hd tach with 1x ssd and 2x ssd the performance was similar, not mutch gain. I am not familiar with SSD or HD image backups so please advise. or is there any other software recomendations.

may help load a program faster, it will not run the program faster

Help required with ADFS 3.0 client certificate authentication

I am currently working on integrating ADFS 3.o for Single Sign On to some 3rd party services along with PKI solution. The basic requirement is that I should be able to choose client authentication certificate as an authentication method in ADFS and then
federate user credentials to 3rd party trust for single-sign-on.
I had done this successfully with ADFS 2.0 and that setup is working fine. I have the setup as ADFS 3.0 client authentication method enabled. When I open browser to logon, the ADFS 3.0 page displays a message as "Select a certificate that you want to
use for authentication. If you cancel the operation, please close your browser and try again." but the certificates are not displayed for selection.
The certificates are valid and have valid chaining to CA. Could someone help me resolve this issue?

Thanks for your response. I have gone through the posts that you have suggested, and my setup looks pretty much as expected.
So, as I mentioned earlier, I have 2 parallel setups with 3rd party service(SalesForce). Once of them is running ADFS 2.0 and another one has ADFS 3.0. I can logon to the third-party services, from both the setups using username/format. I can logon to SF
using client authentication certificate from ADFS 2.0 setup, but from the same client machine, when I try to logon SF via ADFS 3.0, the browser just does not pick up any certificate. The page just shows message of "Select a certificate that you want to use
for authentication. If you cancel the operation, please close your browser and try again.".
I have checked the browser, and it has the right certificates. Also, the same browser/machine is used to logon to SF through ADFS 2.0 via client certificate, which works just fine !
I am really confused now, as to whose issue this really is...
Just to confirm, I am using Certificate Authentication from ADFS 3.0 Authentication Methods for both Intranet and Extranet.
Any suggestion or inputs where I could have gone wrong in the setup?

Help needed with spry image slide show
Im new to dw and am currently building a site for my buisness. I installed a spry image slide show and it works fine in live view but when I view it on the web
it was looking for sever .js files. I then checked out the spry forums and noticed that it seems to be a common problem. I tried removing the ui1.7 file from the server and reloading,tried removing from local and remote and reloading, tried to change the line <script.src=spry-ui-1.7 etc. to the adobe site as per gramps advise to another having the same issue. Now when I view on the web the slideshow wheel keeps turning but images donot apear. Im lost and can use some help, enclosed is my code also sight is www.patsiga.net

<h3>Logo Replacement</h3>
<p>An image placeholder was used in this layout in the .header where you'll likely want to place a logo. It is recommended that you remove the placeholder and replace it with your own linked logo. </p>
<p> Be aware that if you use the Property inspector to navigate to your logo image using the SRC field (instead of removing and replacing the placeholder), you should remove the inline background and display properties. These inline styles are only used to make the logo placeholder show up in browsers for demonstration purposes. </p>
<p>To remove the inline styles, make sure your CSS Styles panel is set to Current. Select the image, and in the Properties pane of the CSS Styles panel, right click and delete the display and background properties. (Of course, you can always go directly into the code and delete the inline styles from the image or placeholder there.)</p>

Check your folder configuration on the server by clicking on the "Remote Button" on the DW Assets Tab.
Example 1: This will not work:

Example 2: This will work:
WEB PAGE HERE: /server/public/myfolder/slideshow.html

Help required with DAQ and waveform generation
Hi,
I'm using DAQ 6024E card for waveform acquisition using LabVIEW 8.2 version. I've also attached my vi for your reference.
My next step is , I want to add another waveform to the acquired waveform, i.e. I mean to say if the acquired waveform is a sine wave with 60 Hz frequency and amplitude of 8V peak-to-peak, I want to finally display a wave which is 8V peak-to-peak with sinusoidally changing freuency.
To be more clear...I want a sine wave with frequency = 60 Hz + 1*sin( 2*pie**t).
As cane bveen seen in my vi, I can extract the phase and magnitude of the original acquired signal.
Can anyone help me out with this...as I'm not able to figureout how should I proceed next.

test_analog.vi 162 KBYou'd probably want to use the DAQmx VI's instead of the Express VIs, when doing something more exotic. You can start by converting the existing Express VIs to code by opening their front panels and saving them as a VI.
