Help required with multiple sites

I am a newbie to this game and am trying to work my way through using the tutorials etc.. I have built one website which has been published using FTP to the host server which is not mac. I am now trying to build another website for a separate domain. So far I have created a 'New Site' which I published to folder which in turn generated additional subfolders in the Sites folder with the new site name and the initial page names. I have now made updates to this including adding additional pages, which show when I am in iWeb but are not present in Finder. Also, when I go to view the provisional site the 'index.html' file is for the first site and therefore I cannot view the new site. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I'm a little confused as to what's happening as I'm fairly new myself, but what I've done might work for you as well.
To create new and separate sites, I move my original domain file (where iWeb is stored) out of its (application support) location and into a folder, named for the site. Then, I open up iWeb with a new domain file for the new site, and put that in its own folder. Basically, I create a separate domain file for each site, so each site is completely and cleanly separate.
When I publish each site, each also goes to its own folder, also totally separate.

Hi all, i'm working on a charity project that entails the clicking of buttons in order to purchase a "virtual plot" on a grid system.
There are hundreds of buttons involved.
What I need to know are the following :
a) Is there a way for me to set the actionscripting to a "parent" button then multi copy the button around the grid maintaining the scripting.
b) When a button is clicked, it goes out to paypal, is there a way to AUTOMATICALLY disable the button once the transaction takes place
    and the user gets re-directed back to the website.
c) When different buttons are clicked, is there a way to only have the URL of the last clicked button open up......in other words not have a whole
    load of different pages to the same paypal account open. (EG. If I click 20 buttons, I don't want 20 links to paypal open, only the last clicked button)
I guess there is quite a bit of information I'm looking for help with but I am fairly new to Actionscript. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

yes, but that's probably not what you want because each button will do exactly the same thing (unless you encode an if-statement that takes different actions based on the objects instance name). you'll probably want to use a for-loop to encode your buttons so you don't have much typing to do.

yes, as long as you setup flash and paypal to communicate when a transaction is completed.

yes, but flash needs some way to determine a user has made the final choice.

What is the size of your hard disk? PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine. Just a thought here.

I have successfully installed all of my creative cloud apps with the exception being acrobat.
I cannot print from Indesign to PDF.
I have unistalled, reinstalled and still no Adobe Acrobat.
I now have to go back to Windows 8 and create the PDF's there.
Any one know how to get around this issue?

OSX has effectively killed the ability to print to pdf, (print to pdf eliminates most of the "Rich features" of current pdf).
Export from InDesign, always, excpet for the 1% of the time where you know why print to pdf would produce a better result.

Help required with connection / settings between a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum EX (soundcard) and a Creative DTT3500 Digital (5. speakers).
The problem
No sound from any of the speakers. (Exception can plug in headphones at front)
Background
My computer has been recently upgraded at my local computer shop and all programs re-installed (including driver update from Creative's website). However after reconnecting speakers and restoring the original settings I?m getting no sound from any of the speakers. I?ve followed all the available advice/instructions I can find on this website and manuals to no avail.
Set-up
Physical
(Digital DIN) Speakers/decoder amplifier (DTT3500) connected to the (digital out) soundcard (Audigy Platinum EX) using minijack to DIN cable. (As per instruction manual)
Software
Creative Audio Consul ? setting as per instructions, however have tried variations in vain. (Note: above tabs there is a select device box with SB Audigy [A0000] in it ? only option. Just wondering what [A0000] means?)

Do you have the original installation disk?
If so, try installing THOSE drivers, ESPECIALLY if it worked before. Be sure to uninstall what is there now, first.
Its natural for most people to want the 'latest' drivers for their hardware. However:
After experiencing some difficulties with some CL 'updates' for certain products, I now avoid them UNLESS I am having a PROBLEM with the existing drivers.

You can compare stuff in the EL, but I don't think this is what you need.
You can just use Java code in the backing bean class for all the business logic. You can use DAO classes for database access logic. Finally for displaying you can use the JSF tags such as h:outputText.

Help Required - Upload Multiple Documents functionality sometimes disappears in SharePoint 2010

We have a web application created in SharePoint 2010 & there we were facing an issue of not able to Upload multiple documents. After doing search on google, we have found that
pre-requisites for this functionality to be working properly are as follows:
Client Integration needs to be enabled for the web application.
The STSUpld.UploadCtl IE add-in must be enabled. (located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12)
The 32 bit version of Internet Explorer. The 64 bit version does not support it and neither do other, non IE, browsers.
Office 2003 or newer on the client.
After meeting all the above requirements, We are now able to see the Upload Multiple Documents link but we are failing in below 2 scenarios:
On some machines it is working fine & on some it is not.
On some machines, this option is available for sometime & sometimes it disappears.
If any one of you have experienced the same problem, then please help us with your valuable suggestions & possible solution for it.

We've just been experiencing your initial issue with Office 2007 clients not being able to use the multi-file upload functionality. Sure enough....turning on presence information in Central Admin fixes the issue. The strange thing is though that
when presence is turned off, Office 2003 and 2010 clients still work fine and it's only 2007 clients that fail. Also this issue appeared to only exist for us inside applications that have been upgraded from MOSS2007 to SP2010. Any new applications
of even new site collections within an upgraded application worked fine across all 3 Office versions.
Coincidently, we're also experiencing the more recent issue you've come across with files not uploading after clicking OK in the ActiveX. Nothing happens. Office 2010 clients work fine but 2003 and 2007 clients just don't upload the selected
files. We've found a workaround which "fixes" the issue but brings it's own set of problems so it's not ideal. Here's what we've done...
1. Open IIS, and navigate to the web where you want to use multi-file upload
2. Select Handler Mappings and Add Script Map
3. Set Request Path - shtml.dll
4. Set Executable - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ISAPI\SHTML.dll
5. Set the name to something meaningful - Multi File Upload
6. Leave the Request Restrictions as default
This should fix the issue with files not uploading but unfortunately it also prevents SharePoint Designer from accessing the site. For the application where we desperately need multi-file upload we can manage without SPD access so it's not the end
of the world but not ideal. We've actually got an outstanding incident logged with Microsoft to resolve this issue but they've yet to find a solution for us. We suggested to MS that we update authentication to Kerberos from NTLM and retry as we
seem to be getting 401 errors in the call stack so thought that could be related. We've not yet configured Kerberos so I'm not sure whether this is a solution or not.
One other point worth mentioning is that SharePoint Designer 2010 (which is free) installs the latest version (14) of the Upload ActiveX and with this installed the uploads work as expected. Also if you have Silverlight and SPD2010 installed then you
get a Silverlight control to do the upload which also works fine. Again, not ideal as rolling out SPD 2010 to affected clients isn't really a suitable solution.
Sorry I can't be any more help. Hopefully my findings might point you in the right direction. If you do find a solution (other than the IIS handler mapping) then please re-post here,

LYNC 2010 with Multiple Sites and Pools

We have LYNC 2010 Enterprise Pool in North America with 5 Front End servers, 2 Edge Servers. No Director servers deployed. We want to enable Dial-In Conferencing feature for all users across the Globe (to avoid 3<sup>rd</sup> party conferencing
cost…) and proposing 2 additional pools ( one in EMEA and another in APAC regions). I am looking for best practices to deploy multiple pools on multiple central sites.
Do we need to deploy Director Servers? (Microsoft recommend Director, however is this mandatory for multiple pools?)
How can we handle Simple URLs and DNS entries in multiple Edge pools (edge pool in each frontend pool)?
Do we need to publish different ISA firewall rules for simple URLs and mobility?
As we are not planning to replace PBX now, and only looking to provide dial-in Conferencing Bridge with SIP trunking, what is the best practice to provide site resilience in case one central site is down?

Hello.
1. This is a recommendation and it's not mandatory even with multiples pools. The only point if you don't deploy director is that for the first connection, all sig wil go through one pool (the one behind the srv and dns record) and after this pool redirect
the user to the good one (and also do the authentification) .Also director is made to avoid this type of load on one pool (connection from other pool and from edge authentification), but still not mandatory.
2.Simple URL point only on one entry (or pool of RP) somewhere in the world (after there are some unofficial workaround) but don't forget that behind that there is the external web service URL (for each pool) and also an edge association to one pool. And
the user is really using thoses URL and svc (edge associated to the pool as the ext web url)
For the external web svc & edge association, you can create a local edge pool closer to your internal pool so for those user the media will be closer and don't go trhough the world. (exemple you add one emea pool, the media that come from internet goes
through the emea edge and emea RP handling Lync external web services). But the simple urls still point to your main edge/RP pool.
3. Like point before, not mandatory, recommendation if you don't want your media going around the world and coming back. Be carefull the association is still fixed (depending of the user's pool parameter), so if the user travel still using original edge/rp
settings.
4. You can create multiple trunk with lync so have backup in case of one is no more working. After this is hard to say what is the best, this is depending of your infrastructure.

UI Design help / Slider with multiple thumbs?

I've got an application which is trying to set multiple bounds
around a single value. For instance, if my value was "temperature",
possible bounds might be cold, temperate, hot.
I want my user to be able to assign all of those ranges.
My first thought was to use a slider with multiple thumbs. I could
have 0 and 100 as min and max, say, with 2 sliders. Everything
to the left of the first slider is "cold", everything between the two
sliders is "temperate", and everything to the right of the second
slider is "hot.
Of course, JSlider does not have support for multiple thumbs.
So, I was hoping someone could either suggest a freeware/LGPL
widget that did *or* could propose a clever redesign to obviate
the need for one.
In reality, my problem is more complex -- multiple values with
varying start values, end values, and number of thresholds. I'm
using multiple sliders right now, and it's functional, but really fugly.

I have a job that needs to run a procedure hourly but not between 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Can anyone help me with how to schedule this job.

If you use a window the job would only execute if the window opens. If for some reason the window did not open then the job would not execute.
Windows should be used to specify which resource plan should be active for the time interval.
In this case you are better off using FREQ=DAILY; BYHOUR=; and specify the hours.

I am trying to create a wireless solution with 3 sites, and one datacenter each remote site have vlan 10, 11, 12 mapped to following :
controller sites in datacenter.

vlan 10 - AP management 10.10.10.0/24
Vlan 11 - SSID STAFF 10.10.11.0/24
VLAN12 - SSID ADMIN 10.10.12.1/24
REMOTE SITE 2
vlan 10 - AP management 10.20.10.0/24
Vlan 11 - SSID STAFF 10.20.11.0/24
VLAN12 - SSID ADMIN 10.20.12.1/24
REMOTE SITE 3
vlan 10 - AP management 10.30.10.0/24

can I configure such scenario, Since all Schools have same vlan and this is a centralized solution and everything comes to controller, what would be the VLAN, GATEWAY and INTERFACE on the controller.

That wouldn't work, with interface groups your going to get a round robin effect for the IP address.
You could use AP groups so that each school gets the appropriate subnet. But you can't have the same VLAN ID with different subnets, the WLC will bark when you try to configure that.
But on that note, if you are pulling everything back to the DC, why do the WLAN need to all have the same VLAN ID? the traffic is at the DC not the remote site. If the sites are using VLAN 10 for the AP subnet that's fine as that traffic will be local, but as the staff and admin traffic is going to be ingress/egress at the WLC, the VLAN for the actual site doesn't matter.
You could do
Remote site 1. 110,111,112
Remote site 2. 210,211,212
Remote site 3. 310,311,312
then you have different VLAN IDs and AP groups as I said earlier

Edit: smon's solution is better if pl/sql is an optionI disagree, it's quite elegant given the cirumstances of that sick table. And it definitely beats a dynamic SQL solution.
@Basva - when will you realize that your table is no good, and needs to be normalized into a more traditional relational table?

Help required with an image

Hi all,
I wonder if someone can help me with the following issue.
If you see the attached image in the top left hand corner their is a square box which is a different shade to the rest of the header.
I need to rectify this and blend it in with the rest on the header colour; however, I do not know how to do this and would appreciate some assistance in doing this.
I'm a noobie to photoshop so any help is much appreciated.

It seems you've copied another portion of the texture to overlay something you didn't want seen...
As opposed to copy/paste of a rectangular region, this is almost a textbook use for Content Aware Fill, which should (assuming it works properly) match the pattern and blend the colors.
Try selecting just the blemish or whatever you're trying to cover, then expand the selection a few pixels, then Edit - Fill - Content Aware.

Note that the code is not written with the exact fields. Change the fields where necessary(also i have joined only 2 tables if needs to be joind form more than 2 table change the join statement accordingly).
