Help restore the lost work
If you can tell me. My situation is this. After several surges computer rebooted and since then in the "incoming" = "inbox" messages are not displayed. At C: \ \ Documents And Settings \ $ user \ Local Settings \ Application Data \
Identities \ {...} \ Microsoft \ Outlook Express> inbox.dbx file exists and has a decent size, letters all over the place. How to fix pst file?
Necessary soft by which you will easily recover lost MS Outlook data in case of failure. Outlook stores its data in PST files; these files contain messages, contacts, tasks, notes, appointments, and journals.
Outlook Fix Toolbox reads the damaged PST file, identifies and restores the data from the file. Outlook Fix Toolbox saves the recovered data in a new PST file or in several files of up to 4Gb.

Restoring the lost data.
Hi All,
We have two Planning Applications created in EPMA architecture.
Accidentally user has deleted the critical forecast data from one of the application by running the Business rule which deletes the data. The data which got delete was critical one and now user need to restore it back.
We do have latest windows file system back up taken on both Physical Hyperion Application & Essbase Servers therefore we can restore the necessary files from backup in order to restore the lost data with the help of our Storage team who handles the back ups.
Could you please advice on how do we go ahead for restoring the lost data from backed up files and which files we may need to restore from the back up.
This is an extremely urgent & critical issue we are facing hence your valuable advice is much needed as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance !I have tried this Maxl couple of times in case of Invalid Block Header issues. Doesn't seem to resolve for me.
If it is a case of invalid block header :
How to restore a database:
1. Stop the application/database and delete the dbname.ind file.
2. Clear non input level data using Hyperion Application Manager, DATABASE -> CLEAR DATA -> NON-INPUT BLOCKS. Then perform a full calculation of the database either using CALC ALL or if required, specific calc scripts. This may not work however as it depends on where the IBH lies in the data. If this still returns the error during the calculation then proceed to step 3.
3. Stop the application and delete the following files from your database.
This removes all the data from the database.
<dbname>.ind
ess000#.ind
ess000#.pag
<dbname>.tct
<dbname>.esm
To get the data back:
a. Do a full calc from your database from an input level export
or
b. Restore from an existing backup. If this backup does contain an IBH, then keep restoring previous backups and checking.
Hope this helps!

I lost all my pictures in Aperture and I used Time Machine to restore the lost pictures.
After losing all my pictures on Aperture and not being able to restore the the pictures using Time Machine as instructed by Apple Care. I searched the web on how to restore the pictures using Time Machine and did not find a good solution. So with trial and error this is the solution that worked and it is easy. Using Time Machine restore the entire Pictures directory. Then restore the Aperture in Application. Then go to the Pictures directory and click on the White Box label Aperture. Do not open the Aperture Application it self Clicking on the White Box label Aperture will do the trick. It worked for me and I hope it works for you. Initially I lost 9500 pictures and I was sick till it was fixed. Everything went back to exactly the way is was before, including thumnails.
Thanks for posting. I have my library on an external drive and it spins processing before it crashes. I have tried everything. I think it believes some images are corrupted but who knows.
Do you keep your photos on your internal or external hard drive? Did you just open aperture and choose new library or did you delete your old one? I am not sure what to do, I have a big aperture library on a hard drive and time machine back up somewhere. I have a mirrored hard drive so I may only have 2 copies of the same screwed up library, don't know if they back up on time machine also?
Time machine has always confused me to be honest and fortunately I have never had to use it. So you can just replace your pictures? I think I have a bunch of photos in iphoto library on my internal hard drive, I hope I don't end up with duplicates and triplicates. Although I would settle for just about anything right now. I have 15k pictures that I see briefly before it crashes. -

Good Bye .....Hi Joecui
Please let us know did you changed the instance profile and did a restart or tries to upgrade the kernel.
Any changes on the OS level or to the IP-ADD maybe.
Would suggest restoring the profiles or kernel if upgraded.

Adobe Reader crashed while I had a filled-out Adobe PDF form open. When I reopened the file, I found that all of the data that had been entered into the form fields had disappeared. Is there any way to restore the data that is missing?
I note that the "Restore" command in the Adobe Reader file menu is not available (grayed out).
Thanks for your time.Hi a2jc4life,
maybe you can restore your deleted profile with this tool

TS4605 I need help restoring the backeup up information on icloud onto my new ipad
i need hlep restoring the backed up information on icloud onto my new ipad
Have you looked in the c:\system recovery files folder that should have been created when the restore process was created?
When the backup process was started, it should have given an estimated amount of space it would need and how many disks would be needed. Do you recall what it said it would need?
Unfortunately, the backup through the Recovery Manager that is performed is typically a one shot deal. If it fails, then it moves on to the recovery in most cases without giving an opportunity to get a backup going again. This is not always the case, but it is in most cases.
Do you recall any error messages during the backup process? If the restore is asking for a disk 2, then it expected to have more than one disk when the backup was made. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done in that case. Sorry.
I highly recommend using a cloud based backup as this is generally independent of any physical media in your location. There are some free options out there, but they are limited in space.

Need help restoring the CORRECT dates and times to iphoto '09 photos
I have read a lot of stuff on here about restoring dates and times in iphoto only to no avail. All I want to know is: 1 - how did all the dates of my photos get changed in the first place? ; 2 - how can I restore them to their original dates?
Well, I noticed my dates were incorrect weeks ago. The only thing I did was upgrade from '08 to '09. I tried using "adjust date & time" but I would have to know all the dates by memory in order for that to work. My dates are all recent dates. Sorry for the ambiguity.
Forget what I said about the event labels. They are titles I made for each event; however, all of the dates are incorrect. Maybe my camera is to blame!

Why don't I see any official acknowledgement of this problem?
Hi cwebtech-
According to this answer I found, it may be possible for you to update the max version number for Firefox in order to make it compatible:

Every week I have to restore the macbook pro system
Hi,
Lately my macbook pro is having some problems that are bothering me a lot.
After some use it simply will not boot and I have to restore the system by time machine. But before that happens, the boot is extremely slow, it does not leave the apple gray screen, then rebooting the computer by the recovery disk, several problems are presented during the disk check.
The last time I had the problem, the computer just was not mount the disk in any way, I had to erase the disk and restore the system from time machine. I've replaced the HD, reset PRAM, SMC, repair disk permissions, but nothing solved the problem.
Another problem that is occurring is that the system reports different values for the free disk space, on the table it reports a value, in the disk utility is informed another value, always lower, as if the table it reports the value of 502.33 GB of free space, in disk utility value reported is 498.20 GB. After performing the system restore, the computer works fine for about a week, and then presents the problems again.
The computer only has these problems with the Lion, the snow leopard operation is perfect, but as I paid $ 30.00 by the system, I wish to use it, but if the problems continue I think I will downgrade to the snow leopard.
Has anyone had the same problems with the Lion and the macbook pro?
Any suggestions to solve these problems without having to go back to the snow leopard?
My computer's configuration:
Mid-2009 Macbook Pro, 15.4 ", 8GB Ram, 750GB 7.200 rpm Hard Drive, Intel core 2 duo 2.53 GHz.
Thank´sHi djousma,
I just use the Mac OS, I've done a scan with virusbarrier (all updated virus definitions) and no virus was found. My software is all original, and most were purchased from the App Store.
I bought this macbook new, sealed box, and always had the feeling that something was wrong with it. After 8 months of purchase, the original HD had problems. I took the computer to an Apple authorized service center, they said the HD was damaged and replaced under warranty. This happened exactly two years ago. After replacing the HD the computer works normally until the installation of the Lion, I can't say if it was coincidence or not, but it's really weird problems start after installing the Lion. Another strange problem on my computer since I bought it, is that the battery reduces the percentage of load even with the connected MagSafe power.
I don't understand what's happening with my computer.
Thank You! -
I am trying to update a 4s. The update did not work for some reason. Now I need to restore the iPhone. When I connect the usb to the computer and phone it says I need to restore. So, I click to restore. It starts extracting the software. But I am continually getting the same error message that it cannot complete for unknown error. I have been working on this for 5 and a half hours. I'm tired, mu husband needs his phone and apple support is a joke and of course I can't find any answers anywhere. Please help!
Hi MB2751,
As an iPhone user myself, I know it must be very much a problem to have the phone out of service because of an error such as you are seeing. Let's see if we can get you back up and running.
I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I have had problems syncing my iPhone 4 and my iPad on my Windows XP laptop. My computer had a virus and spyware, but is now fixed. I was then able to sync both phone and ipad, but when I tried to update to ios-5.0, the update worked, but the restore would not. Now I don't know what to do with my phone. Is there a way to get the restore to work, or should I set it up as a new phone. I have lots of apps, etc. that I do not want to lose.

1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your product number
2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Have you installed any new hardware on this computer, before the issue appeared?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?

I want to reset my ipod touch 4th gen but i have forgotten the restrictions passcode and for some reason its not working on my laptop on itunes and the restore thing wont work! any help?
Make sure you have the Current Version of iTunes Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
Then See Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...Re-Sync your Content
Note:
To remove a forgotten Restrictions passcode you will need to Restore the Device as New...
OR... From a Backup created Before the Restrictions Code was set....
