Help restoring deleted note from iCloud Backup

I desperately need a note I deleted from my iPad. I followed the instructions I found on this forum and others by erasing and restoring yesterday's backup from the iCloud, The problem is that the iPad starts syncing the Notes back with the iCloud before I can get to the restored note. Of course once it syncs, it's deleted again.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And no, this device has never been connected to iTunes.

Is this what you did to restore from iCloud backup? The iCloud backup data should be older than your sync data.
1. Erase all contents and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Enable Location Service
9. Select network, enter password and join network
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Selected Restore from iCloud Backup

You can try restoring the backup to your phone. This may recover your notes if they were on your phone when you last backed up.
Restoring to an iCloud backup requires you to first erase the phone. If you have any more recent data on it that is not contained in the backup, you'll need to save that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Be sure it's connected to your wifi and your charger as this may take a while to finish.

How can I restore deleted emails from iCloud backup?

I have an Earthlink email account that never synced with the server before, so I went a little crazy deleting a bunch of emails. It wasn't until I checked my WebMail that I realized it deleted them from the server, too. I checked with Earthlink and they couldn't do anything for me. But I had an iCloud backup from yesterday that I tried to restore. Except the email account keeps syncing with the server and I'm back to where I started. Is there any way to retrieve this data? It's gotta still be in the backup, right?

If they were backed up, you can restore your phone from that previous backup. If they weren't backed up, you cannot restore them.

IPhone 5: Restoring Camera Roll from iCloud Backup.

When restoring all data from iCloud Backup, Camera Roll never finished downloading. It was stuck at 5 out of 715. How can I restore Camera Roll from iCloud Backup now that the initial "start up" Restore is complete?

Got my photos & videos back into camera roll! I woke this morning and all 701 were there. This is a few less than the most recent backup had, but good enough. So, there were a few things flakey about my experience restoring from iCloud. Therefore as many, including yourself have noted, iCloud IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A TRUSTED METHOD for backing up, storing or restoring photos & videos. If your photos & videos are important to you, backup to your computer at regular intervals.
What worked?
1: Following randers4's suggestion to review ezjules' post (see above for link).
2: When the most recent backup failed, I went to the next one available (2 days old)
3: When the Photo App displaying X of XXX images downloading in camera roll got hung up on the first few images, I powered down the phone and it resumed downloading more. However, it hung up 2 more times and then proceeded while I went to bed.
4: Phone was plugged into A/C outlet entire time, no incoming or outgoing phone calls or texts.
I am no longer going to back up photos or videos to the cloud. I will also cancel my additional storage capacity on iCloud. Why pay for secure storage that is so flakey?!?

Try this way to recover iPad notes:
1. Connect your iPad to your computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Under “Devices”, you should see your phone, right click on it.
4. Click on “Restore from Backup”.
5. Select one of the earlier backups when you had all the notes and let it install them. You are done!

Disappeared a note from my IPHONE. I use the apple app NOTES and one day, I don’t know how, a note was duplicated and automatically deleted another note (bug problem). I really need you to recover the note that was deleted. It was automatically deleted in my ICloud backup too.

If it was an icloud note you can contact Apple and depending on how recently it disappeared they may be able to recover it. If it was a note stored under your email such as yahoo, go to your email provider website and sign in and see if there is a mail folder named notes that you see it in.

How to restore "notes" from icloud backup

I was trying to clear data from my old computer (to give to my little sister), and I accidentally deleted all my "notes" from the "mail" program (not just from that computre, but even on the icloud apparently)!

to restore from a previous backup, be sure to go into iTunes before you
connect your iPod Touch or iPhone and set iTunes > preferences > devices

HT4859 Will restoring iphone 5 from icloud backup bring back an icloud calendar I deleted on my computer?

I deleted an icloud caledar that was synched on my coputer and iPhone. Could I turn off my computer, then restore my iPhoone from before the delete and get my calendar back? FYI my computers backup is too old, but iphone backed up this am over WiFi.

That doesn't make sense(not you, but the system), since iCloud changes done on the phone change whats in iCloud server.
The only way to have a backup of the calendar would be from backing up computer then??

Deleted notes from iCloud - help gratefully received.

When I upgraded my iPad's software this week to the latest iteration, all my notes were deleted from iCloud. I've saved most of them through my time machine, but two from this last week (important work ones) that seem to have gone permanently. Any ideas on how to recover them?

iCloud does not back this data up, it only syncs it between devices. You may get them back by restoring an iOS device to a back up from before the Notes were deleted.
Apple has also messed up restoring Notes through Time Machine on the Mac but it is probably still your best option. Read https://discussions.apple.com/message/19171700#19171700 to locate the folder then open Time Machine. To get into your Library folder you will have to open a Finder window then click the Go menu and press the "Option" key on the keyboard to make "Library" appear.

I believe in Notes it has an indication what will be shown, in the upper left corner of the app see if there is a spot where you can indicate on Mac, iCloud, etc...I apologize, I'm not on my Mac at the moment and I'm writing from memory. Most of the iCloud based apps (Calendar, Contacts, etc...) have this setting in the upper left of the app.

I'm selling my iPad 3 today and want to get the new iPad 5 as soon as it releases. Before I sell my iPad 3 I'm going to backup the device and then erase all content and settings from the device. Will this also delete my iPad backup from my iCloud account? I plan on restoring my iPad 5 from my iPad 3 iCloud backup. Will this work? Thanks for any help!

Restoring new mini from icloud backup: how do you suppress multiple itunes accounts

I am setting up my wife's mini. We backed up her iPad gen 3 to iCloud. When setting up mini from icloud it askes for passwords for iTunes accounts belonging to son and daughter. They used their accounts to load apps fr me on my iPad. I do not have their passwords. How do I suppress the accounts on iPad so it does not try to retstore the apps they bought for me. Thanks.

Your title and the text in the post say two different things.
Your title says you are restoring from an iCloud backup.
Your post says you are doing an "iCloud installation". Admittedly, I don't know exactly what that means.
Please describe the exact symptom(s) you are observing, and whether whatever activity that is under way is providing evidence of proceeding.

Is it possible to restore an ipad from icloud backup of an iphone?

I don't know if this is technically possible. We have several iOs devices associated with one apple id, an iphone, ipad, and ipod. I wanted to know if I can delete all the stuff from my ipad and restore it with stuff from the iphone. Thanks for any help.

Deleted iPhone from iCloud backup-how to set up again?

Under iCloud--Storage and Backup--iCloud backup the toggle switch is greyed out, I can't turn it on.
In an effor to fix it, I accidentally deleted my iPhone backup
1. Can I restore the backup I deleted?
2. Any hints for how to get iCloud backup to work? I've purchased enough storage to fit everything I want to back up

If your phone was provided by your employer or if you have added your work exchange email account to your phone, it's likely that your employer has pushed a security profile to your phone preventing you from backing it up to iCloud. (Many employers don't want their confidential information stored on another company's servers.) If this is the case you will see a setting called "Profile" in Settings>General near the bottom.
You would have to check with your employer's IT department to confirm this.
