Help Safari has dissaperaed from my dock!

Hi
For some unknown reason Safari has dissapeared form my dock, am sure i'm doing something silly, any help gratefgully received.
cheers
Phil

You can remove something from your dock if you select it and drag it out of the dock. It disappears with a little "puff".
To reinstall it :
- Open the "Application" Folder
- Look for the Safari application
- Drag and drop it on your dock where you want it to be
That's all

  • Safari has disappeared from my dock & applications

I tried downloading/installing Safari 5 from Apples website but got an error message.
How do I go about re-storing it?

I suppose you really mean OS X 10.6.8 as you wouldn't be able to run iOS on a Mac.
Try downloading and installing the 10.6.8 update combo. You can find it on the Apple Downloads site.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2).

Do you have Time Machine enabled.   If so, go back through your previous months until it features in your Application folder.   Then restore.

  • App store has dissappeared from my dock

Mac app store has disappeared from my dock.  It's still in Launchpad.  I can't figure out how to reinstall it.  Running lion 10.7.1. downloaded it again 10.7.1 again, but it didn't help.
    Any suggestions?

The Mac App Store app is located in the Applications folder. Open a Finder window and browse to the Applications folder and then drag & drop the MAS icon anywhere you choose on the Dock.

  • TA38616 Safari has disappeared from my phone - how do I get it back?

Safari has disappeared from our iPhone. It's nowhere to be found with apps, and isn't listed in settings anymore. FaceTime is also gone. No idea how they disappeared. How do I get them back? Do I need to do a full reset?

Make sure to mark the thread as solved so others can refer to it for help. Let me know if you need anything else!
Edit: I'd put a password on your phone to prevent changes like this. You can have one that is required to unlock it, but if you have others (kids, family) use the phone and don't want that, you can still put a password just to prevent changes to certain settings. Might help in the future.

Safari has disappeared from my desktop. How do I get it back?
This is a family computer and no telling how it was deleted. Firefox is OK, but seems to be running slow with a few annoying pop-ups. I am a novice Mac-ophile.
    Suggestions?

Go to the Apple Menu and use Software Update, enter your password and do what it says, check again to make sure it's clear.
Next look in your Applications folder for Safari and drag it's icon to the Dock, and place Safari there, it will make a new "shortcut"
If Safari is not working then
Next see if you can download the Safari from here using Firefox and install it.
    https://www.apple.com/safari/
If it says "can't install blah blah blah" then exit and trash the installer.
Apple issues newer Safari versions via Software update and it takes some time to get it on the web side.
But that's how you re-install Safari, however the Software update likely will fix your malware issue and provide a new Safari.
If you need Safari right away there is a way to reinstall it and all of OS X at once, quite a chore.

Safari has disappeared from my phone.  How do I reinstall?

You should check 'general-->settings-->restrictions' - toggle must be on.
If it will not help you - you have to Restore your iPhone in iTunes and setup it as a new iPhone.

Have you checked the Applications folder? If you are trying to start from the Dock, the alias may have become corrupted.
    Another browser  Firefox
Do a backup. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Then reinstall the OS.

  • My itunes icon has disappeared from my dock on my MAC.

My itunes icon has diusappeared from the dock on my MAC.

It's fairly easy to accidentally pull an icon out, but you can just as easily put any icon you like back into the dock. In the Finder, go to Applications. There, find iTunes, and drag its icon into the Dock.
