Help SAP BI Datasource - DB Connect

Hello,
I have a datasource whose source is Oracle system via DB Connect.
I have used the Table/View with user in extraction tab of datasource and because of this the default fields of view/table are being proposed and copied to fileds tabs.
But i have to use my own created fields in infoobject template but though i enter technical name in infoobject  template and try to enter it does not copy its properties.
I am not sure how can i use my fields and remove table/view fields.
Please help.
Regards
Syed

Hi Syed,
i've tried to do the same sometime back and i was not able to assign my infoobjects to the fields.
As far as i remeber, this can be do only in Flatfile datasources, where you assign the infobjects to the fields and the properties of the infoobjects would be copied to that particular field.

  • SAP PCM 7.0 Connectivity with SAP Business Objects

    Hi All
We are trying to integrate SAP PCM 7.0 FP5 with Business Objects. The prime purpose is to fetch PCM data into Xcelsius dashboard and WebI reports via BO Universe.
We are sruggling to understand the plugins required to do this.Since other SAP documentation states that SAP BO Connectivity pack is required which is a part of SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management 7.5 Support Package 06
But , we understand that SAP BO PCM75 Support pkg06 cannot be installed on SAP PCM 7.0.
Also, Please kindly help me in understanding if SAP PCM 7.0 connectivity with BOXIR3 (without using BW NW layer) is possible or it needs to be upgraded to SAP PCM 7.5
    Thanks

    Hello Siva,
I am thinking that you may need to deploy FTP adapter in PI to get this process work fine but not sure.
Let's see what other experts suggest.

  • SAP BI - Data Services connection

    Couple of questions :
    1. Where from within the SAP can I get SAP gateway hostname and SAP gateway service name
    2. I have a developer right on BW. Is it enough to make connection with my user id?
    3. connection to BW is via client security portal. Does it change the approach?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. Where from within the SAP can I get SAP gateway hostname and SAP gateway service name
    From the sapgui.
    2. I have a developer right on BW. Is it enough to make connection with my user id?
    Yes
    3. connection to BW is via client security portal. Does it change the approach?
What does that means? you need a user and password in BW (ABAP).
As suggested by Andrei, read the wiki. It has all you need to make it work.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can all SAP System releases be connected to VC?

    Hello folks,
our customers would like to know if it is possible to also connect older SAP System Releases like R/3 4.7 to the Visual Composer or even older releases. Are there any connection restrictions concerning the SAP Backend System Release?
    Thanks,
    Katharna

    Hi Katharina,
this is standard connector, which is described here:
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/de/21/58feb70e884bc68a474429ac26f448/content.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/de/21/58feb70e884bc68a474429ac26f448/content.htm</a>
So it should be possible that you can use your R/3 system with Visual Composer.

  • SAP ISA B2C  - concurrent connections

We have a SAP ISA Solution develop over CRM 4.0.
    We are in productive now.
We are getting some performance issues in our CRM system (CRP) when we
have a high number of users in our SAP ISA B2C site at the same time.
We’ve noticed that our CRM system is not responding so well, the Dialog
instances are always in its maximum processing, leading to a bad
    performance in our Online Site.
We get all the Dialog processes (21) fill up with the execution of the
    reports SAPLSZA0 and SAPLSZA13, getting 20 – 25 seconds to process the
request. It seams that these processes refer to our default user login
(when a client enters in our site, the site automatically logs him in
our system, with our default user). In a normal user site access the
    processes only take 1 – 2 seconds.
We had to close the site, temporarly to see if we could solve the problem. We have closed the site in the firewall, but still, all these processes
remained in the CRM system and they have continued there until we have
turn off our SAP ISA J2EE application server (always coming more and more
processes). Only then the processes disappeared from the CRM system.
Is J2EE making a big queue of processes when we get a high number of
connections, even when the users has left the site?
There is some tool to analyse how many connections we have in a specific moment ?

    Hello Harsha,
perhaps you get some help in the Best Practice Guide http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/html/BBlibrary.htm -> C14: CRM E-Commerce.

    Hello,
We are trying to connect with the EPM Excel Addin 10 on our SAP BW on HANA 7.4 SP7. We are trying to use the SAP BW (INA-Provider) connection as described in documentation. There is a screen where you could choose the SAP GUI connection and you have to fill in the port number and client. We are using HTTP protocoll.
But the connection doesnt work. We are facing the following error message:
Http #2: Unable to connect to the remote server:
There is one special thing in our SAP GUI. We have a router string for the connection. And I think there are some problems with BO tools and such connections.
Does enybody has some expierence with this connection?

    Hi,
We have definitely heard your frustration, and Microsoft understands the position our customers are in and we are actively working to find a solution besides a FixIt that can be deployed to remedy the issue.
We can also remove the MS14-082 Microsoft Office Security Updates for December 2014 by temporary bypassing this issue.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

If you have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S, that might make it easier to navigate.
Connect the phone to your Mac and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of the screen there should be a series of tabs which you can use to select what to sync to the phone. If it's an audiobook then it should appear on the Books tab for selecting/syncing, and films will be on the Movies tab. When you've got the audiobook on your phone you should get an Audiobooks option in the Music app (you might need to tap the '...' tab at the bottom of the Music app to see it).
