HELP!screen stuck on USB arrow to itunes.Ive tried everything!
iPod touch 2nd gen. 8gb stuck on screen with usb and an arrow pointing to itunes.. it won't connect whenever I plug in, I've tried holding down the power and home button, that doesn't work either... someone please help! I've updated my itunes as well. I've had this problem for about a month now and no ipod!!

im from argentina, so.. sry for my english =)
Last weekend I wanted to upgrade my ipods (ipod g5) firmware to the new one.. After the firmware was loaded to the ipod, an apple appeared on my ipod screen. Ok.. but it usually appears a loading bar below the apple. After waiting a long time for the loading bar to appear, I thought it was frozen, so I pressed the reset buttons (menu+center).
Since then I wasnt able to turn on my ipod!!!
I have searched the internet and I found this terrible sentence:
"Do not reboot your iPod while it's booting for the first time after a firmware update (using the Apple updater). This will abort the ROM flashing, and will render your iPod dead."
Is this true? It must be another way to wake my ipod up, plz!!! I have paid a lot of money for it, and I really didnt know that! There was NO WARNING about that! How could I know?!
Anyone with some cool ideas to help me?

my new iphone 4 is stuck with "USB connect to itunes". I put it in recovery mode last night. Itunes recognizes the phone and says it's in recovery mode, but when I do a restore, nothing changes.
it says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." I click OK
then I click the restore button
Then the box says "Are you sure you want to restore the iphone to it's factory settings? all of your.....etc." I click Restore and Update
then it goes into software update
at the end of the software update it says "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode...."
All this time, the screen of the iphone stays on with USB to Itunes
I might add that while the phone was in it's first attempt at recovery mode, it was accidentally unplugged.
any suggestions? -
I have just purchased an iphone today and it is coming up with a picture on the screen of the usb connector and itunes symbol. It also says that I now have no service and can only make emergency calls
Just a thought, but maybe consider returning the device. Seems it might be a bit too complicated for you.

will my voice mails be lost if my phone froze trying to update itunes? I have the screen with the USB and the itunes circle. phone completely dysfunctional.
as ar as I know, voicemails aren't stored on your iPhone, your carrier saves them.

Hello guys i recently got my iphone 4G S and when i connect it on computer i cant see it in itunes i tryed everything with restarting device reinstalling the itunes and usb fixing but i cant still see it in itunes.On other computers i can see it help plz

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

Ipod shows usb arrow to itunes ,will not resound ,and will not restore give error1604
I have been trying to restore a Ipod I purchased used and during the first attempt the computer went into hibernation before it had finished and now the Ipod is locked up and I can not get it to complete the restore. the code I keep receiving is 1604. I have troubleshooted this code and it says that there is a issue with the usb cable or port, this is not the issue because I have tried 2 differen computers and 2 different cables. Also when I plug into charge the ipod it will not show the charge icon will only show the usb arrow to itunes.
If you tried everything here:
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

why is my iphone stuck on the connect to iTunes after trying to update it and iTunes is telling me it cannot reach the update server I have also tried the recovery instructions, iTunes wont even connect to the iTunes store and my internet connection is fine

All of a sudden my Iphone 4 shut off amd will not TURN ON AT ALL. Ive tried everything from holding the buttons to plugging in the usb to a computer and opening my Itunes. I cant get it to turn on...Please anythoughts???
