Help! Screen won't display title, artist etc only Now Playing.
Hope you can help. I've only had my nano for a few days and it was great to start with, but when I'm playing music the screen will only display Now Playing and the album cover and the centre button does not do anything at all. Any suggestions?
Try re-setting it first:
1) Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2) Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

If that doesn't work you may have to restore your iPod to factory settings. That will erase what is currently on it and return it to how it was when you first got it which should clear whatever is going on: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60983

Regarding the tags, on an MP3 CD iTunes simply burns whatever is embedded in the MP3 file. From your description, it sounds like the Onkyo is seeing the filenames but not the tags, which does seem strange. You may want to try the question in an Onkyo forum.
If you don't need the pre-pended serial number, and don't care about the sequence, you can burn from iTunes as a data CD instead of an MP3 CD. -
I've been having this problem since yesterday. At first when I would screen lock my phone and then go to unlock it, it would take much longer than usual to turn on, slowly it wouldn't display at all without a hard reset. Now after a hard reset the phone doesn't display anything. The backlit light turns on and the keyboard is responsive, the phone is working, and yet the screen won't display. What can I do?
Sounds like a visit to a Nokia Care facility now beckons unfortunately.

Downloaded new iOS for iPhone 5. Now the handset is running hot, keeps freezing on different screens, won't charge on official charger ( only charges on crap poundland one) and battery is loosing 1% every two minutes! I've closed all apps and reset the complete phone but no luck. Any one know what else I can try apart from a new phone?
I have done a factory reset at 45% battery. After the reset it's still hot and at 35% now

Won't Display any Artists after Letter "T"
Hey everyone. I'm having problems getting any artists (in the artist selection) to display after the letter "T."
Now, I am certain that the songs are in fact in the Ipod because I can find them in the album section. For instance, Van Halen does not appear b/c its after "T" yet it appears when I look through the albums.
Any ideas?

Iphone won't display entire email message, only preview?
Sprint iphone 4Gs will display only preview of email message. When I tap on the preview, it won't display the entire email message, only the preview. Previously worked fine, only recently started doing this.
I recently had a problem with messages too. Try hooking up to itunes and hitting the restore button. You will have to back up your settings again, but it worked to solve my problem. Hope that helps.

How do I correct song info(titles, artist, etc) itunes misidentified?
I have a few tracks on my ipod/itunes which were automatically designated with incorrect information. How do I correct the information so that itunes properly shows the correct track info?
....Some of these are songs I've made, others are from older cd's I own that itunes 'helped' me by (incorrectly) identifying them.To change things unique to a track such as the title, right click on one you want to change and choose Get Info and then the Info tab, fill in the details you want and choose Next to move on to the next track in line. To change common information on multiple tracks such as the artist or album name, click on the first track of your album to highlight it, hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight everything in between. Right click on the selection and choose Get Info. You'll get a message asking if you want to edit multiple items, say yes. In the info tab change the information you want on all the tracks and choose ok.

Battery Usage Screen won't display any (app) data
Hi Folks.
I was so lucky that I've got a new iPhone 6 just 20 mins after inital sales here in Germany. On my way to the office in the morning I checked the device, and I really liked the Battery Usage feature. Waited so long for that. However, back in my office I connected the device with my Mac to install my last backup from my old iPhone 5s. That worked as designed, pretty good and without any issues.
But now the Battery Usage Screen that can be found under Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage is empty. I only see a switch between the last 24 hours or 7 days, and thats it. There is a hint saying that I have to use the phone for a few minutes unless data is available, but I used it quiet a lot in the last two days Reboot haven't worked, same with killing the Settings app.
Does anyone have the same issue? Google don't know anything yet, same with this board here.
Thanks for any answer...Mine started working today. I did reset settings in Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Settings. It took about 20 minutes for it to start working and I'm not 100% sure if this is what fixed but I thought I'd pass it along.

T61 screen won't display images
My T61 turns on, the backlight comes on, but images do not appear, not even the boot images with the manufacturer's name. If I wait the amount of time it would take to load to the desktop, I can use the keyboard to navigate to My Computer and open the disc drive, but I cannot copy files I navigated to to an external hard drive to back them up. Anything I can do to fix this?
what is the model number of your T61? what GPU does it use? and did you drop or spill any liquid on the laptop?
If it doesn't show any images, how do you navigate to my computer and open the disc drive?
Also, it would be good that if you can change the location from Earth to the real location of where you live.

I recently recieved a macbook that I was told was broken. She didn't know what was wrong with it, but she told me I could keep it if I wanted to get it working again. Its http://support.apple.com/kb/sp579 this model. I got the laptop to power on, but the apple logo and the spinning wheel under it kept spinning forever. So with me and my "Amazing" knowledge of Macs, I thought it would be best to reformat the drive on my PC via sata cable to FAT32 (which I was told is a format that mac devices can read/write on) and install OSX from usb. So I have a .dmg file and used TransMac to format the usb and make the usb drive bootable with the .dmg.
I formatted the drive to FAT32 and plugged it into my macbook and I get a folder and a question mark blinking on the screen. After looking at some forums online, I found that the error occurs when you don't have the correct filesystem to boot or something along those lines. So I try rebooting the computer while holding C, to boot from an external device (such as USB). Nothing. Again the folder and question mark blink on the screen. I look at some other boot option keys and try all of them. Shift for recovery mode, D for apple hardware test, Control, option, P, and R for resetting NVRAM and PRAM. Everything! The only things that differ slightly are when I press Option for startup manager, N for NetBoot and Option+N for internet default boot image. When I press N and Option+N, I get a blinking globe for about 5-10 seconds and then the folder and ? blink again. When I hold Option for the startup manager, I get a white screen and my curser, which I can move around the screen, but there is nothing to click on, its just white.
Currently I have a USB flash drive plugged into the macbook with a .dmg OSX installer on it via TransMac and for some reason, my macbook doesn't want to try to load it. Either I have the wrong file format for the installer, or my macbook is having problems. I read that the hard drive may be the problem, except I can use it on my PC so I know that it works fine.
If anyone has any information about how to fix this, or any ideas. Please let me know! I would very much like to get this macbook going again.The correct format for Mac OS X is not FAT-32.
As the computer shipped with an install-restore disc DVD set that could be used to start the computer as an emergency disc and use the Utilities on the Installer, without running the Installer itself, to format, attempt repair, and perform a few different system installs or reinstalls, this is where the correct format would come from.
Was there documentation to confirm the build year and model information, such as to refer you to the product page link you posted above?

And to be able to restore the basic OS X to that level, official replacement discs for that computer should be ordered from AppleCare; to facilitiate obtaining correct ones, you should find the product serial number. There likely would be a fee involved. The replacement disc set may have a different number than the one in the information box above, but would match the hardware series by Apple standards. And a replacement disc may not have the original extra applications that shipped with the computer when new. Those original discs are part of the retail computer, an essential part number, like the power adapter, and should be included with the computer even after an OS X upgrade, since they allow basic access without using the internet.
The remainder of the Snow Leopard 10.6(.8) would be a download Software Update Combo v 10.6.8, either direct from Apple servers or through the computer's running Software Update. Once the computer is up to date in Snow Leopard, 10.6.8, then one could visit the Mac App Store, App Store, and iTunes Store; from the Mac App Store, and you could check/get the latest upgrade to Mac OS X, 10.9.2. An Apple ID is required to access.
The computer may not support Mavericks 10.9.2, or may be able to, but could use an upgrade of RAM capacity.

The newer OS X systems that can use a Recovery HD partition on the hard disk drive, can start from there to repair their hard disk drive, and reformat the section where the Mac OS X runs, and reinstall that. Since there is no likelihood of that still being on the drive once it was FAT-32 reformatted, it will not be present to assist in attempts to reformat the drive; if the computer had been upgraded past Snow Leopard 10.6, to a later system that would have used the recovery partition, or the later internet recovery system. That goes to Apple Servers to use OS X Utilities and reinstall the system, helpful for computers without optical drives or system media. Your MacBook with 10.6.8 installed, then had to access the Mac App Store, to get 10.7.5, 10.8.5, or 10.9.x

Anyway, the hardware in the computer may need some inspection, troubleshooting, and maybe repair; but the original DVD install-restore disc has an Apple Hardware Test on it, for that series build model macbook. That could help in troubleshooting some aspects of the computer. Could be the hard disk drive failed; or if someone tried to upgrade the RAM, the system may not have worked correctly. Hard to say how it was messed up, at this stage. There are several possible causes.

Is there a way to browse "Artist" from the now playing screen?
On my old click-wheel nano - 5th Gen - i believe, when a song is playing, I could hold down the center button and be presented with a number of options. "Start Genius, Browse Album, etc." My favorite was "Browse Artist." Is there a way to do that on the new Nano (7th Gen.) I know I can hit the little list button to browse an Album, but is there a way to browse the artist without back-tracking to the main menu? Thanks!

32.0.2 won't display WebM/MP4 video even when playing audio
I just downloaded/installed Firefox today to test web design for a class. This is not an upgrade but a clean install of 32.0.2. I'm running Win7 32-bit (6.1SP1)
I can not see any video in Firefox, though the files' audio routinely plays just fine. I have tested with files generated by me, and test files from the following sites:

The player controls come up, a grey box for the video player area comes up with a play button in it, but when I push play, there is just blank/white space, and the audio. I have tested both with the VLC plugin (2.1.3.0) and without - it makes no difference. All videos play just fine for me using IE and Chrome.
Any suggestions on why I'm the only person I know who can't view these videos in FF?You have a very old video card with very old drivers. It's so old in fact, that looks like Nvidia doesn't even have drivers available that are certified for your operating system.

I am on a Mac G4 and just installed 10.5.8. I the System Preferences I selected Display and changed the display from 60 hz to 24. Now I get no display. Is there a way to revert back, or access the terminal to change the monitor back so it displays? I know I could reload but that takes a couple of hours.
Any Ideas?Satrt in Safe Mode (Hold Shift while starting). That should allow you to restate the proper preferences in the Display preferences.
Be patient. Safe mode boots take longer.
If not, reset the PRAM:
Hold Cmd+Opt+P+R and start the computer. Hold the keys through two startup chimes and release. The machine should boot normally; settings will now be at default.

Buddies won't display in ONE account only
I have a very strange problem that has just cropped up with iChat AV 3.0.1 on my iMac G4 20" running OS X 10.4.2. I originaly suspected problems arising from a recent archive-and-install I did with Tiger, but I now see that the problem also occurs on my iBook as well, which has been running 10.4.2 without difficulty.
I have been a longtime AOL user, and have used my Buddy List for AOL instant messaging in iChat AV. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago, when I noticed that, in iChat AV, none of my buddies were showing up--but only in ONE of my account/screen names. However, if I signed into AOL, the buddies would show up in AOL's buddy list.
What's really weird is: if I have BOTH AOL and iChat AV running, then my buddies will show up in iChat AV. If I then quit out of AOL, my buddies still show up in iChat AV...until I sign off or quit, and then sign on or launch iChat AV...then the buddies no longer appear. (I should clarify that I still see the grayed-out, offline names, it just looks like nobody's signed in). If I then launch AOL and sign on again (this is simultaneously), then all of my buddies magically appear again on the iChat AV side.
I have a couple of other accounts with well-populated buddy lists, and online buddies in those screen names show up without any problem.
To see if this was a problem with my computer, I signed on with my laptop, and get the same problem: no buddies listed as being "online" in iChat AV, unless I also sign on with AOL at the same time, but ONLY with that particular screen name/account.
Any thoughts?I've answered my own question:
Somehow the preference for Security-->privacy settings had gotten set to "allow specific people". I have never even used that preference before...and had nobody on my "specific people" list, so when I signed on, none of my buddies showed up online. I guess that preference is locally stored, since i wasn't having the problem in AOL.
I figured it out after starting a chat with a friend in iChat AV while being signed on in AOL. I quit AOL in the middle of our chat, since I was IMing in iChat AV anways. As soon as I tried to reply to an IM, though, I got an error that "Your privacy preferences are set so they prevent you from communicating with this person."
That led me to look at the other prefs and...BAM, everything's working again.
