Help - 'server too busy' errors suddenly occurring all over the place

Have been using an application with no problem and no recent changes. Suddenly today (around 09:15 UK time) users started getting frequent error messages:
Resource ID : 1 The request minimum guarantee is 0, maximum limit is 180 and the current usage for the database is 0. However the server is currently too busy to support request greater than 0 for this database.
Server is jhzx0qn7ud.database.windows.net
This has now continued for ~ 6 hours.

    Hello,
Something strange has happened and I've no idea how to fix it. I have been checking my website regularly in a browser as I've been developing it and now suddenly, it is a total mess. What have I done?
    Here is my CSS:

    The homepage is

Start by removing the HTML tags from http://alfierobertsinstitute.ca/CSS/layout.css

Looks like you've manually cut pasted some code from the web and inadvertently included the <style> tags too.

  • QL Errors all over the place

I've just done a clean install of my OS and I'm getting lots of errors in the console. I noticed lots of the same errors before the update but now it is really effecting performance. I've have thousands of audio files on a Windows server that I'm trying to playback and they are taking forever to load. Tiny files that used to work just fine are taking as long as 10 seconds to play back. I noticed this error in the console.
    4/2/09 12:29:34 PM quicklookd[658] [QL ERROR] 'Creating thumbnail' timed out for '<QLThumbnailRequest /Volumes/Translated/Japanese/033109 jpn/Audio Files/*final audio/LTASSTF_idiom_answerjpn.wav>'
I'm getting this all over the place for each file. I'm not trying to play the file back in the finder and I'm not trying to use quick look (or whatever it's called). These same files used to playback just fine right away. Any ideas why this would be happening with a new OS?

yes, I erased the HD and reinstalled 10.5.2 then updated to 10.5.6.
If I create a new user account, is it easy enough to get rid of that user account? It seems like I had created an account a while back and it always hung around...even after deleted the folder, I could quite get rid of it....

  • Suddenly: "F12" opens Dashboard, NO vol control, but low background noice; multiple instances of items in dropdown menus; "frames" appearing all over the place.  Corrupt OS, HD failing, or virus??? 10.5.8 OS MacBook.  Thank you, all!!!

a couple of weeks ago, suddenly:
    "F12" now opens Dashboard, NO vol control, but low background noice sounds like a radio broadcast yet it's hardly audible; F10, F11, F12 not responding as Volume control keys;
    multiple instances of items in dropdown menus in Safari and Mail;
black "frames" appearing all over the place in Safari and Mail.
corrupt OS, HD failing, or virus???
    10.5.8 OS MacBook.
    Thank you, all!!!

black frames showing up on the desktop, too; like when Mail minimizes to the Dock, a black frame shows up outlining where Mail was on the desktop ...
has anyone ever seen anything like this ... ever ???
    Thank you, all.

  • My iPhone 5 has really sporadic battery percentage that jumps all over the place and every so often the phone turns off

    Hi guys!
I'm having trouble with my iphone 5, the battery percentage jumps all over the place. It will be down at 14% and then I plug the charger in and it jumps to 50%, it jumps around without me plugging the charger in. Today it actually turned off twice and had the red icon to plug it in and when I plugged it in it had turned straight on and was at 27%.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Its really annoying because when I'm out I'm not really able to rely on the battery indicator being correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
    Russell

    Hi Boris,
That sounds really similar! I'm not sure what to so about it, I bought a mobile battery pack to charge my phone while I'm on the go as this seems to make the percentage instantly jump back up again. If I don't get any ideas on here ill probably take it in to an apple store and see if I get any joy there. I'll let u know the outcome if I do go to a store, maybe I can at least buy one at a reduced rate or something. I got my iphone 5 on the day of release so I'm outside warranty too :(

  • Battery all over the place

I have a three month old MBP. I often browse the forums to inform myself on what's up before it happens to me. I found out about the battery update that way, and did it. I read about the possible problems that may occur, but I am not sure my problem fits - or if it even is a problem.
My battery used to last for a really long time - 4 to 5 hrs. Now it doesn't. I usually only use my MBP for surfing and occasionally downloading music or movies from itunes (haven't done that since the bat. update tho).
After experiencing shorter and shorter up time, I decided to really keep an eye on it this morning. Last night I got the message that it was running on reserve power, (and I was too) so I plugged the power cord in and shut it down for the night. This morning I unhooked the power, started it up and the time left read 5:32 for about a second or two and then read 2:32. I used it for a few minutes, walked away - the display went to sleep - I woke it up and it read 4:50. After that I let the display sleep several times and every time I woke it up I got a different reading - all over the place. 6:xx - 3:xx -4:xx and so on. I then decided to browse this discussion area and couldn't find exactly this scenario. I have been on for about 15 minutes and the time has stayed within a range of 3:05 to 2:42. I am going to let it go into full sleep and come back to finish up this post. Oh...by the way:
    Battery Installed: Yes
    First low level warning: No
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5189
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 4531
    Amperage (mA): -1494
    Voltage (mV): 11967
    Cycle Count: 37
I'm back. Time left reads 2:22 - seems normal enough for being gone about 20 minutes. Power readings:
    Battery Information:
    Battery Installed: Yes
    First low level warning: No
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5188
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 3695
    Amperage (mA): -1522
    Voltage (mV): 11796
    Cycle Count: 37
But where has my battery life gone? I guess what it says now is a true reading, but since I have only had the computer unplugged from the power for about 1.5 hours, and it has been used for only about 25 minutes, isn't this a short period of life? It used to sit practically all day on battery power only being used once in a while. I am going on vacation in two weeks and I don't think this battery will even get me through one dvd movie on the plane - on a three month old computer! Any thoughts?
    sj

    Sarah,
The two cruical numbers for the estimate of the time remaining are the remaining capacity and amperage. If you divide capacity by amperage you will get the time estimate.
These values update relatively slowly - about every minute or so. This can lead to weird values when your computer changes its activity quickly.
Thus, right after you wake the computer up or reactivate the screen it is likely that the amperage will be low (because it doesn't use much power in sleep mode or with the screen off) and the time estimate will be high. Similarly, just after you unplug the computer the amperage estimate will be low (because it is just the amperage drawn from the battery). I have seen estimates of over 200 hours right after I unplug the AC. But as soon as it updates it all sorts itself out.
Your battery seems to be behaving normally and 5200mAh seems about right for a 15" MBP battery. They start at around 5500mAh and decline from there. Apple suggests that you should get around 300 cycles before it drops below 80% of initial capacity (4400mAh for the 15" MBP battery).
The number one hint for getting longer life out of your MacBook is to turn the brightness of the screen down. That is typically the biggest drain on the battery.

  • Pace all over the place

My sport kits worked great for the first 2 weeks, now it is all over the place on tracking my pace. I have recalibrated it at least 3 times. Sometimes it's right on, other times it shows me running a 20 minute mile (when my pace is closer to a 10 minute mile). last night I tried recalibrating it again. It recorded the calibration pace just fine. I kept the same pace and hit basic workout and the pace was WAY off. any thoughts?

I posted on here a few weeks back. I had the same problem.
Absolutely no consistency with the pace no matter what I did.
I flatly refused to buy nike running shoes, but I used my chip inside my shoe with by carving out some of the foam so that the chip laid flat inside the shoe EXACTLY the way it would in the NIKE shoe.
I still had no consistent result. Regardless of calibrating. Regardless of NOT calibrating. I spent hours on here looking for an answer, or help. tried many things. At the end of the day because of the lack of a reliable pace or distance, I just shelved the unit, and now it works great!
When I posted earlier, the responses pretty much all blamed me. Operator error. This simply added to my frustration. I'm not an idiot. If it doesn't work, I shouldn't ALSO feel stupid about it. So I'm relieved when I see people on here having a similar frustration.
I still use my nano, and love it, but now I just stick with a stopwatch...oh...and I run more frequently now, and am improving my ACTUAL time.

  • Webpage rendering images all over the place after 8.0.X

Whenever I open a web link from the financial 'stock' application, it loads normally with small fonts as usual but when double-tabbed to magnify to full screen, two things will occur:
    1. the keyboard pops up which is very annoying
    2. images rendered all over the place in magnified full-screen mode.
Just updated to 8.0.2 and problem still persists.

    Hi ..
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • HT1926 I was prompted to install iTunes 11.1.4 this morning. It failed (first time EVER) with the comment that 'msvcr80.dll' was not available. Upon searching for that .dll in my computer, I found it to be all over the place! Thoughts?

I've NEVER had a version update fail. I did go to 'Tools' and download for a manual install of this update as the info screen suggested. It, too, failed. After searching for the 'missing' msvcr80.dll on my computer, I found it all over the place!
Ran a malware & virus scan with nothing evil popping up.
Tried going back to a restore point before a previous update and doing the install. It failed.
OS: Vista Home Premium x64, SP2 (and current with all MS updates)
Now I'm pretty nervous re: syncing with ANYTHING-especially my iPod that has all my music I teach from at work.

  • Why is my page or connection jumping all over the place after my recent update to firefox 5.0

I came back from a week away and when I got on the internet firefox had updated to 5.0 and ever since then my pages just jump all over the place Why?

    Hi Aish,
I have found the problem, but not sure where to find the solution as I'm pretty new to Adobe products.
I built another site to see if I had the same problem, this time I made it shorter to see if the length was the problem. I put in some elements and 'assets', added parallax scroll key frames, left out pretty much most other things to see if I could pin the problem down. I found that I had the exact same problem.
In the Muse preview it scrolls with the mouse like a dream when I grab the scroll bar and drag it down. But when I preview in business catalyst, export HTML or preview in browser, it goes crazy and won't let me get to the bottom. Further to that, when you scroll back to the top, everything is out of place and gets worse every time you scroll down and back to the top.
I have a touch screen computer and tried to scroll the screen with my finger rather than dragging the scroll bar down with the mouse. The website works like a dream when I scroll with my finger, even when I scroll back to the top everything stays in place and the whole site works lovely! I then tried the other, long website to see if this was the same case and it was exactly the same case. It scrolls with a finger like a dream, but has a fit when you drag down the scroll bar with a mouse.
My next question would be could I somehow disable some kind of touch scroll option in only the desktop version of the site, but leave it active in mobile and tablet sites? If I can do this can you please advise me on how to deactivate it, I think that should solve the problem.
Can you please get back to me with an answer to this? I would be very greatful!
    Marc.

  • Why is the webpage jumping all over the place with parallax scrolling?

Hi all, I'm getting a little frustrated here... I've built a looooong (10,200 pixel) parallax scrolling site, when I click 'Preview' it plays like a dream, but when I render the HTML, view in browser or publish to business catalyst to view, it just jumps all over the place. I realise that the page is extremely long, I'm thinking it could be that but just need to clarify it before I rework it all and maybe find out after, that it was something else that was causing it to happen.
Your views would be greatly appreciated!

  • My fonts are all over the place, how do I get them back?

Recently some of pages I view in Firefox have the text scattered all over the place and makes them impossible to understand. How do I get them back to normal? I am using a 2 x 2.8Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon Mac, 12GB RAM running OSX 10.9.5 and Firefox 37.0.1. I have attached a screen shot of my Facebook Page to try and help explain my dilemma. Regards, Mal
