Help! Shot self (video) w/ webcam. Playback image/text reversed. How to fix with Premiere Pro CC?

I filmed myself with webcam on my computer so everything is reversed. Example, the coffee cup with the name is backwards, the business card I show to the camera, the text, letters, words, all reversed, backwards. I filmed it all this way and later learned about the setting to film in the proper manner to avoid this. Is there a way that Adobe Premiere Pro CC can correct this? Fix this? How? Thanks, JR

Try the 3D Perspective FX and flop the image.

  • Videos export with purple/green artifacts/splotches/flashes with Media Encoder CC but export fine with Premiere Pro CC?

I use Premiere Pro CC to edit videos, and videos render fine when I export through Premiere Pro, but when I try to use Media Encoder CC, the video exports with weird splotches of green/purple artifacts all throughout. It almost looks like the video is glitching and having a seizure of green and purple. No idea why this happens. Could anybody help me? I use Media Encoder to export bulks of videos at a time through its queue feature, which is why I prefer to use Media Encoder for video exporting.
    Please and thanks.

    Mitch,
I was hoping that you and others might have some insight as to whether the purple and green artifacts / splotches seen in the attached screenshots (taken from 4 consecutive frames here but occurring through the entirety of the clip) could possibly have resulted from exporting video with ~ Premiere Pro CS5 or 6 ? As seen below, these splotches alternate back and forth between purple and green in every consecutive frame. I was also hoping that someone might know if this is a relatively common type of artifact and how it is caused.

    Welcome to the forum.
First thing that I would do would be to look at this Adobe KB Article to see if it helps.
Next, I would try the tips in this ARTICLE.
If that does not help, a Repair Install would definitely be in order.

  • Which video camera works best with Premiere Pro CS6

I'm a beginner in working with PP and need to purchase a video camera which will work seemlessly with Premiere Pro.  I don't want to go through a lot of conversion steps. I want to tape my kids sports, be able to take the raw video right from the camera to PP and begin editing, copying etc. Does the Canon HFM 500 with ABCHD formats provide what I need or do I need something more sophisticated?  Just getting started with the whole video editing thing and want to make the right choices before buying a camera. Thanks for any input.

  • My ipad just had all of the images go negative.....looks like everything is a negative image - any idea how to fix?

Not sure why, but everything on my ipad just became negative images -- anyone know how to fix?

It happened, probably, because you did an inadvertent triple-swipe while your Settings (see previous post in this thread) were set to react to that and do things .... including what you've seen. Luckily, the fix is quick and direct.

  • I am unable to import Raw still images from a Nikon D 80 into Premiere Pro cs 4. All jpeg images ok

I am unable to Import RAW still Images from a Nikon D 80 camera into
Premiere Pro. All jpeg images import Ok. A web search suggests I need "plug-ins" for RAW, but I can not find  same. Any suggestions as to how to inport RAW files to PP CS 4 would be appreciated. I have just updated from Premiere Elements 4 which had no problem importing RAW still images.
    Roygo

The way I see it (correct me if I'm wrong) but Raw is supposed to be where you have total editing control of the shot (as opposed to the camera). I believe the next step is to do the editing (i.e. color balance, exposure, etc) then make a regular image from that to use in whatever output you desire (print, web, etc.) Think of raw as the negative. Just being in raw doesn't in it self make it better.
Edit. This is from premiere help files....
Supported still‑image and sequence file formats
Adobe Premiere Pro supports 8-bit per-channel (4 bytes per pixel) and 16-bit per-channel (8 bytes per pixel) still-image files. It converts images with lower bit-depths to 8-bits per channel and images with higher bit-depths to 16-bits per channel on import. High bit-depth files are supported at one single-precision float per channel (16-bytes per pixel).

  • Missing Frames after exporting a video with Premiere Pro cc

Hi guys, i was working on adobe premiere pro cc (342) at work, is the first time i use cc,
by the way, 40 minutes mp4 video(h264/aac,720p), a video of 100 clips,50 images(title image), fade in/out (each clip), and other stuff( all the clips are mp4).
i go for exporting in h.264/aac, maximum quality rendeing, and after a perfect exporting(premiere pro cs6 takes 7 hours, premiere pro cc takes only 25-30 minutes, shocking) i see that the exported video is fantastic, but some video frames are missing(the image/title stille remains there), and sometimes even the image/title disappear for some frames, sometimes il like a intermitted flashing.
i use mpe with my HD7970, is the first time i use it, and during the exporting my AMD FX8350 runs over the 90% of use, it's ok for me, but i want to use ppcc and exporting without problems.
    can you help me?
    sry for my bad english.

I've never seen an export come out with frames missing.  Try turning of hardware acceleration.

  • Need help with Premiere Pro 6 media/file management!

I've been an Avid editor for 20+ years and understand media management in that world. I've recently learned FCP 7 and understand media management in that world. But for the life of me I cannot wrap my head around how Premiere Pro 6 manages media. I am looking for a very straightforward explanation, chart, anything to make sense of this. Thanks in advance for helping an old dog learn new tricks!

  • Please help.  My audio track is too low after exporting movie made with Premiere Pro to YouTube.

Hello.  My crew and I recently completed post-production on an  independent film.  We used Adobe Premiere Pro 5.0 for video and audio  editing.  We had a very low budget for production, so we didn't have the best audio equipment to record sound with.  So in editing, we had to do quite a bit of sound mixing to minimize background/ambient noise and interferences/distortions caused by large electrical appliances in some indoor scenes, such as taverns and cafes.  We managed to clean up the audio, and the audio ultimately sounded great.  However, when we exported the film to YouTube, the entire audio track sounded low.  To hear the film at an adequate level on YouTube, the volume has to be turned all  the way up.  I'm wondering what can be done to export the film to YouTube and maintain strong, optimal audio volume/quality.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you and take care.

As Jeff of Safeharbor noted, you really need to check the audio meters in Prpro with your "final" project. I found that I could have a sound level that played fine on my computer, but ... on exporting to a DVD ... was way low and required a very high setting on any other computer or a tv to be able to hear. I hadn't actually looked at the audio meters. On checking them ... yeah, the peak was down about -18, the main content of the talking-heads was below that. After raising it with PrPro's audio tools, the sound was fine.
I'd bet your sound is showing low on the meters ...

  • Closed Captions don't appear when I play my video exported with Premiere Pro CC

So, I've spent some time researching this, but can't seem to get anywhere.  I'm fairly new to Premiere Pro and I've created a sequence with closed captions.  I've tried exporting several different ways (Quicktime, H264, etc.).  I've also been careful to include a sidecar closed caption file or to embed the closed captions within the video when exporting using Quicktime.  I've also been sure that both files (the movie and the scc file) are in the same place.  I've tried playing different versions of the exported video on Quicktime Player and VLC, but have had no luck getting the closed captions to appear.  In Quicktime player I've tried it with the closed captions activated, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.  In VLC I've tried the Advanced Open option which enables you to select the subtitles file you want to load with the movie.  Once again, no luck.  I've tried dragging and dropping the .scc file onto the movie while it plays.  I've tried selecting a Subtitle track using the video drop-down menu.  Once again, no luck.  I've tried exporting from Premiere Pro with the sidecar file as a .mcc file and that didn't work either.  I even tried converting the .scc file to an .srt file via some online app.
Anyway, I'm stumped.  All I want to do is to get my movie to play with the subtitles with some simple application.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
    S.@@

Sorry, Fritz. It's been a while since I really looked at the Closed Captioning help page, and I just assumed that the New Caption workflow is covered there. And a second apology because the state of that page is at least partly my fault insofar as I promised our technical writer months ago that I'd help flesh out this page.
You're not doing anything wrong when it comes to adjusting the start/end times for caption blocks. Caption tracks in the Timeline are basically display-only. The apparent handles are really just indicators; they're not interactive. I believe it's on our roadmap to make them interactive, but I have no idea where that enhancement sits in the priority order.
I'm not sure what you mean about "each caption track block [being] limited to just over 30 seconds." If there's a maximum duration for a caption clip, it's probably up at 12 or 24 hours. I've worked with several that are longer than an hour. As for individual caption blocks within a clip, my memory has grown fuzzy in the months since I worked on the feature, but I think the program does not enforce a limit on the duration you can give a block. However, there may be a limit on how long a given caption block will actually get displayed. I thought that limit was 15 seconds, but I just did a test with blocks of 10, 20, and 40 seconds, and all of them had the full assigned duration in the encoded output. Could be that the limit I'm thinking of is standard-specific... Come Monday, I'll have to check with colleagues who have remained closer to the feature set.
Note that if you add a caption clip to a sequence before you've finished adding the blocks, then you'll need to trim out the clip after increasing its duration by adding blocks.
Lastly, although Premiere supports authoring captions from scratch, the feature set was conceived chiefly for importing captions created in a third-party authoring tool and, as needed, revising the content and adjusting the timing.
