Help - Shuffle not updating

Anyone help?
Last week I enabled my shuffle for complete disc use & now it wont revert to original setting. Ive reverted to 100% songs in the 'Display iPod options' but Autofill doing nothing and when i try to drag a song manually from library i get a message: "There is not enough free space on iPod to hold all of the selected songs". Am I doin something stupid?

same problem here, but it wont let me use ipod updater it just sits there saying initializing and never does anything, itunes dont even recongnize my ipod i think it broke or something

I don't know whether you are running Windows or Mac OS, so I will link you to the Product updates page.
Look under Photoshop, choose your OS and look under CS5 for the 12.0.4 Multilingual Update (MUL). You simply download and install.
Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 is the latest and you download and install that.
Under Product updates look for Bridge and apply all updates.
CS5 is quite old and the updater doesn't work as it should so you have do the updates manually.

1st Gen Ipod Shuffle not updating with iTunes 7.0whatever

My 1st gen. shuffle was doing just fine updating from my iTunes playlist with the older version of iTunes. Then last night I upgraded to 7.0whatever the latest version is and now when I plug in the shuffle to update, I get the usual updating iPod message and then I get the message that it's done...but....nothing has been loaded onto the shuffle.
If I change the playlist for the shuffle to load from, I don't get any little spinning circles next to the song titles and iTunes will freeze up and I'll have to end the program from Task Manager.
I've restored the shuffle to it's original factory settings (even using the special restore program), I've uninstalled and restarted and reinstalled iTunes. I've deleted the temp directory, restarted, reinstalled iTunes. No luck.
The shuffle does work though on an older computer that has an older version of iTunes.
What's in the new version of iTunes that's not agreeing with Win XP and how do I fix it?

Well, I have that problem too. My shuffle holds about 125 songs or so, yet I've noticed there are always a good 20 or so songs that won't play, no matter how many times I load them onto the device. I have had that problem since I inherited it from a friend.
My new problem is that every time I plug my iPod into iTunes, it no longer updates the playcount for songs. In other words, if I load a song that I've heard 3 times, hear it twice during the day, and replug in my iPod at night, it used to update that song's playcount in the library to 5, but now they still read 3. It's also failing to update the "date last played" field.
I use those to help make sure that I don't load the same songs over and over again by creating a custom playlist that will comb out songs played in the last few days and have a very high play count. Since these are no longer updating, I've noticed that I keep arriving at work only to find my iPod has the same or similar songs as the day before, and dude, if I wanted that, I'd listen to the radio!

Party Shuffle Not Updating

My party shuffle playlist is empty. It does not fetch new songs from my library, and pressing the shuffle button does nothing to add new songs to the list. I've got it set to 15 songs for both past and upcoming songs.
I can play songs in party shuffle by right clicking on them in the library and selecting play next in party shuffle. Once the song is done though the music stops.
Can someone help?

What version of iTunes are your running? There was a glitch in 7.0.1 re: Party Shuffle. Version 7.0.2 fixed this issue.

Shuffle not updating

I have a 512 mb shuffle, and it doesn't seem to update properly. I have it set to update all songs, and it is linked to a playlist that's 494 mb. However, the playlist is always changing depending on what I last listened to and what I want to hear.
When I plug in the shuffle, it always tells me "iPod update complete" but it hasn't put any of the new songs on or gotten rid of any of the songs that are no longer in the linked playlist.
When I click on "Autofill" it ocassionally works. Other times, it will put a bullet next to every song in the playlist, and just sit there, not copying any songs or anything. The only thing I can do at that point is to eject the iPod, reinsert it, and start all over again.
What is happening here? Why does it keep telling me that the iPod is updated, when I know it isn't. I've checked the playlists side-by-side just to be sure that I'm not confusing them or anything, and they're different. I want things to work in the background without me having to go into iTunes and click Autofill, but so far it's not working out that way.

Actually, that's what I was afraid you meant. That doesn't link the shuffle to the playlist they way you'd like. It identifies the playlist that iTines uses when it Autofills the shuffle, which it only does when you click the Autofill button.
Autofilling can take place in the background, but only after you click the button. So it doesn't seem to be as transparent an operation as you want.

Help! Not updating Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23

Hi everyone. Just discovered the nokia discussion forum
I've been using the Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23 and it's synced with all my contacts. My sim's exchanged now, so I need to bring in the saved contacts from suite to phone. But when i switch on the suite, it asks me to update refusing to let me progress otherwise. And the update fails giving the error that the internet is not connected or I should check my firewall settings. I can't afford to lose the numbers already in the suite, so uninstalling is not an option:s Could anyone help? And I am completely new at this, so please be as layman as possible

Please help this newbie here. I have problem with updating my internal table with multiple cells changes in my ALV. I've used the FM 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR' and the method 'CHECK_CHANGED_DATA'. When I debugged, I could see the changes being captured in ref1.
How can I make sure that the changes were already updated into the itab new_antrag after I presses the button command 'EX_SEND'? The original program is leave program RPTARQUIATEST.

Help minidlna not updating library

hey everyone, arch newbie here, having trouble making my dlna work. i can see and access it from my windows boxes but no media shows up.
ps i tried changing user to my username but it wouldnt even show up at that point so i commented it out.

How do you run minidlna? Telling a daemon to run as a certain user is only useful if you start it as root. If you start minidlna as (unprivileged) user fury, it can't run as a different user so you don't need that feature.
You have the db_dir setting commented. /var/cache/minidlna seems to be the default, but does the user you're currently using to run minidlna have write access to this directory? For user fury, you could instead use /home/fury/.cache/minidlna (make sure the directory exists before starting the server).

I've just brought an Ipod Shuffle...it installed ok and when I plug it in it is recognised by windows...however when I came to update my ipod with the songs I had in Itunes it saysd that it cant update because the 'device cannot be read or written to'?! any ideas how to solve this?!

FINALLY FIX IT!!!
I found out how to fix this problem. You have to to an archive install of OS 10.4, and then run system updater. Once everything is installed restart, and plug your iPod into your system. Make sure its the 2006-01-10 updater that launches, other wise you can manually download it from the Apple support page. You should then be able to click on the restore button. After this is finished, you can launch iTunes and finally put music on your shuffle.
It works ... and it only took me 3 iPods from Apple to figure it all out.

Are you sure you have a 4g/3g iPod? If you don't have a camera, it's definitely not 4G. If it has no camera and is 8 or 16 Gb it is a 2G and can't go beyond 4.2.1.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported. If you are using Safari this try clearing its cache via Settings > Safari.
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
