HELP! Some A**hole made me delete my system fonts...

...now my computer wont start! I just get a blue screen.
I was in a webex meeting with some software tech guy trying to get a program to work and he thought the problem was my system fonts. He deleted them and told me if I restart they would restore automatically... they didnt. obviously.
So I can connect to my computer from another computer over our office network and see the system folder but I cant add the fonts back in remotely because I dont have the priviledge from this other computer. Is there a way to override that? Can I type something into terminal that will disable all passwords or something. (I cannot go onto my computer and allow sharing or anything because I cannot start my mac. Unless thats something I can do remotely)

Easiest thing may be a FireWire Target Mode connection. Put any working Mac with the same version OS next to yours. It can be anything 10.5.x, doesn't have to be exactly 10.5.7. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire cable. With the working Mac on and ready, turn on the non working Mac and immediately hold down the T key. A big FireWire symbol will appear on that Mac's monitor and its hard drive will show up on the working Mac like any other removable drive.
Copy the system fonts from the working Mac to the FireWire mounted hard drive in the same location; /System/Library/Fonts/. Eject the non working Mac's drive as you would any other disk from the desktop. Disconnect the cable.
Power down the non working Mac by holding in the power button. Restart it and it should boot. Do a Repair Permissions with Disk Utility as the fonts you copied over will all have incorrect permissions.

I accidently deleted system fonts. Now I can't see desktop folders.

I accidentally deleted my system fonts (don't ask), so my Mac starts up, I'm able to log in, but only get a desktop picture with no folders or dock. I also was unable to boot up with the install disc. I CAN network into my computer remotely with my wife's mac via ethernet, and I can navigate to my empty system fonts folder, but I'm unable to drag the fonts back into the system fonts folder becuause I don't have permissions. Is there a way to override the permissions via the networked mac, maybe through the terminal? Thanks very much for any help.

Backups? your DVD to reinstall. Setup a new drive or partition and install system and then Setup Assistant will pull the old good parts over.
If you have backups, add a bootable backup "clone" and if not, once you do have a system, start using. Only need to clone the system 'as needed' before updates or making changes. Even accidental changes.
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because
the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

Copied text (or other copied material) is on the Clipboard, but only until you copy something else or log out of your account. If you act before doing another copy, you can paste the copied material back into the document. If you don't act right away, you may still have a path back.
One of the most useful keystroke combinations on the Mac is the "Oops! key," as a friend of mine once named it. That's command-Z, also known as "Undo". In some applications it will let you undo only a single step, but in others, including Pages, you can do repeated undos, so it's not quite so essential that you act immediately on making an error. Undo, done via the Oops! key, or via the Edit menu takes you back one change at a time. You can't skip any steps, so to get back to the state before the accidental deletion, you'll have to undo any work you've done since then. The memory of what to Undo disappears when you close the document or quit the application.
At that point you're at the mercy of your backup plan. If you've had Time Machine running, you'll be able to enter Time Machine and go back to an earlier, saved version of the file.
All these are in addition to the steps Ian suggested above.

PS: Best piece of advice I can give a new Pages user (beyond Backup early and often) is to download and read through the first few chapters of the Pages '09 User Guide, available through the Help menu in Pages '09. Mostly pretty easy reading, and will get you through the basics without much trouble.

If it was working on 10/1, why not open up the most recent backup library with a timestamp of that day. Unless you specified otherwise, your backup folder is in Movies in your home folder. You can double-click one to open it in FCP.
The update command actually wants a mounted drive selected.
I suggest not going into the library bundles and moving or modifying folders/files except as a last resort. It sounds like both libraries are corrupted.

Copy them the correct way.
Close iTunes on both computers.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder for the old computer to the new computer.
Open iTunes on the new computer. Everything in iTunes will be exactly as it was on the old computer.

You can't merge Apple IDs. What you could do is set up your phone to use the same iCloud accout you are using on your Mac. To do this, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data (Contacts, Calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Now add the iCloud account you set up on your Mac (with the same Apple ID) and turn syncing back on for Calendars, Contacts, etc. When prompted, you will probably want to choose merge, to merge the data on your phone with the existing data on this iCloud account.

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).
If that's not what you mean by "changed the email address on my account," please post back with more details.

Check the iPhoto trash - if they are there select them and right click and restore to library
If they are not there then they are gone
You really should take the time to learn how to use iPhoto - photos exist only in one place - in your events - albums, keepsakes, etc are just pointers to the actual photos in the event - deleting from an album does just that - deletes from the album - deleting from an event removes the photo and therefore all albums, keepsakes, etc
watch the videos as a starter - iPhoto help menu ==> iPhoto help and watch the video
also more details (for a previous version so some menu items are in different places but the concept is the same) - and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Sorry, if you deleted your browsing history it is gone. No backups are made for browsing history, unless you have that set that up in a 3rd party application. Or if you have a backup of the places.sqlite file, which is where that data is stored in Firefox.

a lot of people have posted about this and i have seen one weird thing fix this. people said they where going into date and time under settings and changing the date to some time in the future and then going to the itunes store and it would give them an error that there date and time was wrong. then all you need to do is go back and set the date and time right and go back to the itunes store and try again.
Im not sure why this did the trick but a bunch of people said that this helped them out..... Weird i know

Unfortunately Rob, I wouldnt be able to do that because I am using a web development tool called Asp.net which is linked to our oracle database and from the web development tool, users are able to login into the application I am designing and based on their login creditials, they are able to carryout tasks like deletions, insertions, etc. Now I am able to get the user name and info directly from the web development and able to pass it into my deletion procedure. See procedure below
