HELP!!! Something going on this morning with some apps
When I touch my phone this morning, a message keeps on popping up that different apps are stopped unexpectedly and to force close, and try again. It has happened with my white pages app, and other apps, but repeatedly my swiftkey app. Whats going on? Also my screen was blue (background) and now its green?

The paid app you should be able to simply redownload it.

I tried to update my iPhone 5 this morning with the new software update. Now my phone won't turn on. When I plug into iTunes, it says that my phone is in recovery mode and that it needs to be restored to factory settings. Is there a way to fix this without losing my settings? Why would this happen on a software update?

That is not what it says. Read the message again. It's telling you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and it must be restored.

I'm trying to download a audiobook I got this morning with iTunes. However, the book is frozen on "waiting" status, what is the audiobook "waiting" for?

I would be concerned too if the audiobook I purchased from iTunes was not downloading on my iPhone. I have a few suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the audiobook still does not download, I recommend signing out and back into the iTunes Store on your iPhone:
Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
The last step states to sign in with another account, but for the situation you described, I recommend just signing in with your same Apple ID.

My iphone 3g wont load all comments from online newspaper. when I touch the "load more comments" button the little spinning spiral appears then nothing happens. Anyone else have this problem with some online newspapers?

Epson: No Duplex Scan with some apps form the mac store

I have an problem with my epson scanner and some apps from the App Store.
My Epson Workforce 3540 can duplex scanning. With Image Capture this works. But with some apps from the appstore, witch uses self-scanning dialogs, and not the image capture dialog, it do not work. I can select duplex scan, the printer scans the first side, change the papger site, and scan the other side, but the application gets only the first side.
I tested one other printer and this worked.
I contact the developer, the said: We use standard apis from apple (ICDeviceBrowser, ICScannerDevice) and their is noch way make a failure. Then I contact Epson and they told me: Contact Apple!
Is this problem new? It must be a driver problem, or? Help!

My sound only works through the ear phones with some apps....
With some apps (Games and books) I can only get sound on my IPAD 2 though the earphones...this just recently occured. With movies the sound goes through the speakers just fine. Is there some adjustment I can make so I can hear the games without using the ear phones?
Make sure that you haven't got notifications muted (which will affect most games, but not iPod or Videos apps, nor earphones). Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to, notifications can either be muted by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar (the function that the switch isn't performing is on the task bar instead) : double-click the home button to bring up the task bar, slide the bar to the right, and it's the icon far left. Command key issues with some apps after highlighting with trackpad
When I attempt to use command-c to copy from Microsoft Office or Lotus Notes I often get nothing. I've gotten in the habit of pressing command-c 2 or 3 times to make sure I got it. Its not physical keyboard issue since I do not have this problem with other apps and I tested a BT keyboard as well. I've noticed that other command key sequences also get dropped, e.g. command-u for underline. I've also had the delete key get dropped. It feels like Office and Notes are just to slow to respond and somehow lose the key, this frequently happens after I highlight something and quickly press command-something.
I used tap to touch. If I tap tap drag tap then command-whatever it appears to work. But tap tap drag command-whatever does not appear to terminate the drag. Is there a way to make Office/Notes react faster? Or tune the touch pad? Hack OS/X?
Thanks.And after all is said and done, you may very well need to restore the device as new and start from the beginning again, especially if the glitch is contained in your previous backup. Restoring from that backup (if it contains the glitch) will also restore the glitch. This is the reason for possibly restoring as new.
Make note of all your Settings (write them all down, preferably using a PC/notepad type program), backup all your music & apps and any other important information you will lose by restoring as new. As far as text messages go, you may not be able to back those up manually (I believe you can but you'd need to purchase additional software for the PC/Mac) and will likely lose them. -
I am having a problem with my Ipad. I am trying to add the Kindle app to my ipad but when I hit the install button nothing happens. This occurs with other apps I try to add also. Any ideas? Thanks
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
With some app (in.es filmon) sound doesnt work.
After updated Ipad2 to v 5.01, with some app (in.es filmon) sound does'nt work.

After using migration assistant I have had problems with some apps that were brought down from App store, as well as IntelliJ that just doesnt want to start at all. Does it have anything to do with the UID being changed?

THis morning my yahoo mail stopped updating at 8:32. I turned my iPad off and on nothing. I deleted my email and then load d it again nothing. Looking for other suggestions. But my email works just fine on my iPhone.

I can send an email but I cannot receive any emails in my Apple/iPad mailbox using Yahoo. However, my iPhone is working just fine! I finally downloaded the Yahoo App for mail so I can at least receive my emails on my iPad. All very frustrating! -
Please help!!! My wife has a Samsung galaxy 4s, and she was looking for me last Friday (09/19/2014) morning with the find my phone app. I have a iPhone 5S and the app placed me in a location about 5 or 6 miles away from where I was actually at. My wife if very up set and thinks I am lying to her. Is there a way to get here the proper information so she does not have to feel like I am a lier. This is a big problem and I need help. I can get video but it is very expensive and takes a court order. I truly need help with this I have kids and this is problem is destroying our marriage.

Greg SoileauHow was your wife using the Find My iPhone app from a Samsung phone? But, that question aside, your wife should educate herself on how GPS works, especially on a cell phone. GPS signals can be interfered with by trees, buildings, clouds. Off by several miles would be unusual, though.
If your wife is tracking your cell phone and not believing what you tell her, you may want to consider counseling as there are some very serious issues that go way beyond the technology.
