Help! Something went wrong and I lost a bunch of photos!
Okay, so my camera has been a bit buggy about importing files lately. As I went to import some today, it deleted a few others. I have no clue why or where they went. At this point I really need the name of a good file recovery utility to help me find them again. I have not done anything that should permanently delete them beyond what a restore utility would do. Any suggestion would help. Thanks.

Based on your issue, I suggest you could try to use an another microsoft live-in user account to sign in the Visual Studio Community 2013 to check if you can sign in the VS2013 Community with update 4.
Or you could try to use same user account to sing same version of VS2013 Communty with Update 4 on other machien and the check if you can sign in this VS 2013 Community with update 4.
(1)If you could sign in the VS2013 Community update4 by the another user account on your machien, I think that the issue maybe related to your user account.
(2)If you still could not sign in VS 2013 Community update 4, maybe you will need to repair or re-install this VS2013 Community with update 4.
In addition, please tell me what browser you use on your machine.
If your machien just insatall other browser such as chrome, please try to install the IE and then check this issue again.

Keep getting "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."
I try to download some items. I keep getting "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."
I was logged in to Live, but somehow it is getting lost. I have tried both Chrome and IE. Is there something wrong at MS or with my account? Also, it took me 15 minutes to find anywhere to submit a problem or question...very frustrating.
It kept sending me to self help where none of the options were relevant.

While upgrading my iPhone 3GS to iOS 4.2 something went wrong and came up with the message "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred [1015]." Now it will not start at all. It just stays on screen with USB and the iTune picture. What can I do to get it going again. I only tried to upgrade because I was prompted to up-grade and now I am helpless. I did a backup before starting the upgrade. The error message did not tell what to do next. Any help is very much appreciated.
Usually that means the iPhone was hacked to unlock it from the original
carrier .
Updating the operating system locks it back to that original carrier

I have cleared cache and cookie and keep getting this message when i try to log into hotmail. Only happens in Mozilla, not other browsers. "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."
It's been 10 days and nothing works.It is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I agree with Sunil Shrikant Vyasasamudra. First you can repair Office from Control Panel > Programs and Features, maybe Office installation is corrupt.
If it doesn’t work, you can try “Fix it” tool in the KB below.

Solution is that you run word in "Administrative" mode:
To run the Word program in administrator mode, try the step below:
· go to Computer, Programs files/Program files X (86).
· Look for Microsoft Office ->Office 15.
· Look for Winword.exe
· Right click on it and click
Properties
· Click on the Compatibility tab
and check the box forRun as admin.
· Clickok.

Since iOS 7.1 my phone won't turn on and is asking me to connect to iTunes. I connect to itunes and it says it needs to be restored. Not sure why. I try to restore it and then it says something went wrong and it won't work. So I've been without my phone for a couple days now. It gives me error code (29). The phone almost reboots and then 3/4 of the way through it gives me the error message.

Ok this is just so annoying.
Whenever I try to open Word, it gives the error "Sorry, something went wrong and Word was unable to start.(6)". Other office applications either freeze or crash. Only Excel works fine. Running Win7 64 bit.
Tried all possible ways of installation/reinstallation. Did repair, uninstalled and reinstalled manually, uninstalled with FixIt from Microsoft, removed every leftover thing from registry. Also removed some other applications that I thought could cause this
problem for Office.
Uninstalled 64 bit Office, and installed 32 bit, same exact problems.

According to your description, I suppose that Word 2013 was blocked by some other applications after you opening it.
Which operation system do you use? Have you installed the Office 2013 SP1?
Then, we try to do some tests to narrow down the issue:
1. Collect the Event log

so recently, my ms word has not been working at all. It doesn't work, whether I open a new document or an existing file, and it shows the error message 'sorry, something went wrong and Word was unable to start. (40). It only started to show up recently,
and i was wondering if it was because i have not yet updated to the latest version of Windows 8, which i have been unable to do successfully. I have already tried to open in safe mode, and the fix it tool. Does anyone have any idea what i can do?Did other programs work well?

If the repair doesn't work, please uninstall the current installed Office, and reinstall it again.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets this error.
I use Windows 8.1 and many time when I try to access a KB or a Microsoft link I get this error:
"Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."
it can happen either if I search something on google or enter a link inside Microsoft\TechNet\MSDN etc...
when I try to open the same link on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox - it opens immediately as expected!
I know IE opens my sessions with an integration to my Microsoft ID, though I don't see any reason why it will block me from entering Microsoft links
any ideas?

UX (It gets even worse if you try exploring the other options.) may be a really obnoxious hint to try changing my passwords, e.g. since I recently upgraded to W8.1 from W8.1 Preview. I contacted MS Support but their only suggestions were: to
do RIES (e.g. since the symptom shows on my browser, it
must be the browser that is the problem and ignoring my explanation that I had already proven that existing Cookies could not be the cause); try using a different browser (which I don't have yet because of the new OS); and then if that doesn't work try
to refresh the OS! (Talk about sledge hammer solutions to avoid doing diagnosis.)
A workaround is to open a new session where I won't be logged in and then I can just use the KB URL anonymously. (E.g. in IE press Alt-F, i. InPrivate Browsing mode (Ctrl+Shift+P will probably work too.) Annoying but not as irritating
as that damned UX.

How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. It's mostly done but I needed to send it like yesterday!!) OR touch up a photograph, black-like oily smudge-like substance sprayed around the point of the brush. I tried to fix by resetting but really didn't know what to do and probably made it worse. However, the problem happened after I updated the Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 on my desktop 8.1 Windows and after a Tech helped update the regular CC Photoshop on my laptop 2007, 64 bit Windows to 2014. He promised to call back after giving it time to install but didn't for whatever reason on Friday. That happened to go up to the same update I did on my Windows 8.1 Windows. Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.
