[Help]Something Wired Going on with Apple TV

Right, My Apple TV stays connected to the internet. it plays the radio fine. But when ever i try to play music from my iTunes libery on my mac for some reason after like 5-20 mins it's stop working and then i have to reselect the song for it play? (Hope you understand)
If any one could help i would be greatfull.

How much RAM installed?
How full is your Mac's hard drive?
Do you run any antivirus software on your Mac? Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X and have negative effects on system performance.
Do you have apps like MacKeeper or any other maintenance apps like CleanMyMac 1 or 2, TuneUpMyMac or anything like these apps, installed on your Mac?
These types of apps, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary.
They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac.
These apps potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
Plus, the software company's that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and data is too great a risk!

What is going on with apple?

What is going on with Apple this year? Syncing is now a challenge, when adding new content to devices either way, iphone, ipad, macbook, itunes does not see the content anymore unless you shut it down and re-open it, if you are using iphoto + itunes, neither sync up unless they are both shut down and restarted.
Apple has always done an incredible job syncing content, as it is added in itunes or iphoto or on a device it was immediately accessable on any device to be used or sync based on user settings, is this fragmented syncing due to iOS 6 and itunes or has apple simply lost it's focus or i am missing a setting somewhere?
This fragmentation occurs with photo's, media files such as music and video, apps, email etc. Anyone else experiencing this?

no problem syncing photos and videos for me.
and thats why i manage everything else manually...music and videos. syncing music and videos is 'crap' for me.

Help setting up BTinternet email with Apple Mail

Hello everyone,
I need help setting up a btinternet email account with Apple's Mail sofware. I am setting it up on behalf of my aunt and uncles new macbook pro so I hope i get some solutions quick because Im leaving their place by the end of the weekend and I would love to have their email setup and teach them how to use it.
They have 2 btinternet email accounts, the first one they use alot as its their main email account which is currently setup on MS Outlook on their old computer. The secound one they use rarely and its not setup on MS Outlook.
Heres the problem, when I setup their main email account with apple mail, I have no problem creating the account however once created the inbox is empty - it does not load previous emails. It can send emails fine, if i send an email to the account using my personal email it will receive it but when I switch off the computer and switch it back on the mail box is empty. So I checked the email account by going to yahoo.co.uk and signing in - again even on the web page the mail box is empty.
I then setup the second btinternet email account on Apple Mail shockingly this works perfectly all the old emails got loaded up in mail. So how do I do this for the main account, I know the difference is Outlook mail but I rather not delete that because if it doesnt work then they would lose all their old emails.

Three basic questions (which you may have covered with the customer service people already):
For your speed of movie download problem, how fast is your internet connection? The movie file is probably about 1.5 GB (much larger than the videos and short films you've downloaded before), which could take 20 minutes to download on a really fast connection (at a University), an hour or so on cable, 3+ hours on mid-range DSL, or a lot longer if your connection is slower than that. 8 hours does seem too long, but it's possible the problem is with your internet service, not iTunes. Your router is obviously not the problem if it still takes 8 hours after you've bypassed it.
For the iPod transferring problem, does your iPod have the latest software update (v.1.1.2, which came in the iPod Updater 2006-06-28 for Windows)? You can see what version you have by clicking on your iPod in iTunes and looking at the Summary, where it will tell you what version of the iPod software you've got and will let you download the new one if you need it.
And can you transfer music files to your iPod using iTunes 7 without problems? Can you transfer those old short films to it? Is it just the new movies that won't transfer?
You wouldn't be the only person to be having problems with iTunes 7 for Windows (I'm one of them, too), but it would be helpful to eliminate the basic stuff before giving up.

Something dodgy going on with Adobe billing?

Suddenly my 'details' changed (for 3 months the payments went through fine) but now there was a problem, and I picked up that someone has changed the last diget of the credit card details on my profile. I was provided 'a secure link' in the support chat to 'update my details'. I declined and updated it directly on my profile. Am I just paranoid or is something fishy going on here?

What is wrong with Apple's support of printers ... inability for MacBook Pros to connect with HP and other printers. Yet the same printers
work under Mac OS based Parallels (running Windows or Ubuntu) - WHY? Finger pointing (HP . Apple ... Apple > HP) ... who cares ... FIX IT ... this has gone on for months now. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

HP discontinued support (read: stopped updating their OS X printer drivers) for a lot of their printers back when Apple released Snow Leopard and dropped even more when Lion was released. This is an HP problem, not an Apple problem.
Exacty what printers are you having problems with?
If any of your printers are on the HPIJS list, try installing the HPIJS drivers (there are 3 files to install, and it won't hurt anything). This solved the issue for me on Snow Leopard, Lion and Mt. Lion with my older HP printers.

Thank you for the advice Eric, however I am not very computer literate and have since posted another query, which if I have posted correctly you may have seen.
I did manage to recover my data except all of my photos, I was left with 5 out of many. I have noted that on I Cloud it says that it may be necessary to update the cloud account to recover photos but I cannot find how to do this.
I would really appreciate advice.

What is going on with Apple / ITunes?

What a mess! I received a video IPod in August and with some issues (my lack of computer knowledge) all has worked out. I wanted to download a new movie and its where it all went south. Just so you know I have downloaded videos and short films with zero issues and was really looking forward to having movies for a long trip I’m taking on Wednesday.
First I'm told I must download new 7 version and that did not work for some time but now its loaded. I purchased a movie and the download took most of yesterday. I called Apple support and was sold support for $59.00 since I had already called to question the download issue (only one free call) I was told the issue is probably I am using a router and I should bypass the router.
I decide to mess with it in the morning (today) and when I go on line to ITunes my movie is downloaded. I try to add it to my IPod and it will not transfer. I call customer service (on hold 45 minutes) and speak with a woman with a very strong Indian accent. We go though tons of marketing research gathering information and she basically doesn't know what is the issue. We look in files, we spend 20+ minutes on the phone and she tells me I need to speak with someone else. I now go on hold again and with 10+ minutes a upper level tech comes on the line and ask me many of the same questions, telling me I need to redirect me internet connection away from the router and that may be the issue.
All said and done she finally directs me to the ITunes web site where I can email them for help since Apple does not support ITunes tech issues. I must be crazy because I then think she might be right about the router and I bypass and buy another movie from ITunes. What do you know it is telling me I have only 8 more hours remaining downloading an 2 hour movie????
Can anyone tell me what is going on and what I need to do to get the 2 movies I purchased onto my IPod. I'm now down $59.00 for no service and $9.99 times 2. Blockbuster and my DVD playing is looking better all the time. Thanks, Margrettte

When unlocking with touch ID phone goes black with apple icon then locks again?

when I go to unlock my screen with the "touch ID" the home screen opens for a flash then goes to a black screen and the "apple" logo appears for 10-20 seconds then locks again. If I try to unlock with touch ID again it'l work usually. When using my pass code with the keypad no issue. Phone is brand new 7.0.4 software was already installed on the phone.

Unfortunately that is not my case: I close all open apps several times a day and just had four open windows in Safari.
I closed all of them, just to make sure and did a reboot.
That helped for around 5 times, then the phone does the same thing again.
It actually doesn't reboot but just displays the black apple logo on a white screen for about 10 seconds and after that gives me the home screen.
So it is definitely not a reboot, I think.
Until now I assume it is an error, it would just be nice to know if it is a hardware or software error.....

I'm getting "safari cannot find the page because of a problem with the network connection a lot on this board today! Also when I hit refresh the font and layout alters! Also some of the icons are not appearing.
Is this a result of some "improvement" that it took all weekend to make?

The error i keep getting says
"Safari can’t open the page “http://discussions.info.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=132”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005)"
and if I hit reload, the page usually comes through. I have tried deleting the Safari cache, and every other site I visit is working fine.
So what is going on here?

HELP: the nightmare has happened with Apple Backup 3.1.2

OK, I've got a situation here. Bought an external 1TB backup drive. Used Apple's Backup 3.1.2, which comes with the .mac account to backup my laptop twice a week. The first backup was a full one, followed by incremental backups. I've set it up to back up my WHOLE system drive.
So far so good. Yesterday, I backed up the system again. Finished successfully. Then I reinstalled my laptop, wiped the whole machine and put OSX10.4.11 back on. Reinstalled Backup 3.1.2 and wanted to restore my home folder using my latest backup. Double-click the file. Restore window opens, shows the system, all apps, library, users etc.
BUT, the users folder does not contain my old home folder anymore. AAAARRRGGGHHHKKKK! OK, tried not to panic, checked older backups. Same. Checked them all. Everything shows up. Except my home folder.
OK, thought I must have un-ticked my home folder by accident when setting up the backups. But I a am as sure as I can be that I did not do a mistake.
Also, the file size of the backup packages (210GB) is the same size as my previous system (60GB), incl my home folder (ca. 150GB)....
If I had backed up everything except my home folder, the back up file should be a lot smaller!
So, I actually have hope that my precious home folder is actually still in there somewhere. But how do I access the files?
Has anyone had similar problems? Does anyone know what to do???

Need HELP, what is going on with my MBP 13' Mid 2012.. Please..

My MBP 13" mid 2012 running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 (14B25)
Processor = 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory = 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

It can't turn on. But Magsafe has no problem, battery looks fine too,
It only turned on if i haven't use it over a few days or a week... after that, i try to turn it off or just get it on sleep mode then it won't turn on again over few days/week..
Does anyone had a same problem or solution for this problem?

I would start with resetting the SMC to see if it will start to power on again. If not then you will probably need to contact Apple for further support. Take a look at the article below to start you on troubleshooting your issue.

New to the apple world. Bought my first Apple Macbook in Dec 09. After 6 weeks of heavenly use, its now started to crash all the time. 14 times in the last day alone, & thats when i can get it to boot.
Sometimes when I turn it on, all i get is some bleeps & the white light.
I've added my last error report & some images. I would really appreciate some advise on what I need to do to get this sorted. So far my Macbook has crashed more in the last week then my Windows PC did in the whole of last year. This is turning out to be a painful transtion to the world of macs, I was planning on buying an imac next month!
Any help would be really appreciated.

I suspect a RAM problem... did you install more RAM on your own or have it done? this link is for an application to test the memory (Apple Hardware Test did too)...but you never know...

And this link gives instructions for removing and replacing your RAM...if you are up to it....select the right instructions for your model MacBook...it is possible that the RAM modules need to be reseated...

Also it is very new and under warranty so a call to Apple might also be a good idea...if nothing else to get the issue documented...
