HELP! Strange problem

This has happen to me twice already. I'm on the phone talking with someone; then I hear two beeps and the phone clicks off. That wouldn't be so bad but then I can't turn it back on.
The first time it locked me out for about 5 minutes. The second time it locked me out for about an hour. I even held the top power button down for a few seconds hoping it would re-boot; but that didn't work either. I get nothing... no sound, no applications, it will not even turn on. ??????????
Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you using a protective case or headset with the iPhone? If so, try testing without them.
Try resetting the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743

Help - Strange Problem with Yahoo email on my 3G iphone

When I send email from my yahoo account - very often the recipient gets multiple copies - sometimes as many as 5 copies. Sometimes they only get one copy. But usually they get multiple copies. Help, strange problem about SOAP receiver adapter

Secnario as following:
ABAP proxy -> XI -> SOAP receiver
I am using SOAP receiver to send data to legacy system. It looks good in sxmb_moni, so we go to RWB, I see the following error:

So I use XMLSpy to simulate XI to send SOAP request to legacy system, it works fine.In XI, I use WSDL file which legacy system provided to build the mapping, so I think it should be fine. Please comments, thank you for your time.

Strange problem with motherboard H67MA-E45(B3) =( please help

Hi, I have a strange problem with my motherboard . I have a H67MA-E45 (B3) (MSI-7678) , when i try to update it ( http://www.pcbrain.it/images/stories/msi/H67MA-E45/bios/14.JPG ) , i choose the fourth option "Select one file to update bios" , but the bios did not recognize the update file (E7678IMS.1C0) into the Usb flash drive , but if i choose the second option (select one file to boot) the file is recognized. First I made a backup of the bios, and into the USB flash drive has been created a file called "E7678ICX.162" (my current update). Why the extension is IXC ?!? it should have been IMS ! . I tried changing the file extension "E7678IMS.1C0" (the new update) into "E7678ICX.1C0" and when i select the fourth option , the file is recognized! . Obviously I have not started the update , but if I proceed with the update, changed the name of the extension, is it safe? Or do damage?..please help me :(

Still think there is a batch conflict or possibly a bad stick in the new sticks. Might test each new stick individually for a bad one. Added: Actually, screenshots of the old sticks Memory & SPD Tab may be of help too. It may be tRAS or tRFC differences between the two kits. Just speculation at this point though.

Whenever I am using Skype or playing game for a while it losses carrier signals and wifi. When it is cooled down afer shutting down the carrier signals and wifi are back. It is for sure problem is with heating, but 30 degree tempeature in Oman is normal and some time it goes upto 50 degrees. I have noticed this has started after I started using substandard charger as I lost my original charger of the phone. Please help!! Thanx.

But to share with you, I got MFE installed on my E90 and N78, it's working fine so far. I'm a fan of the S60 platform and I only use S60 phones.. and I've also faced certain data corruption issues like what you're facing.. and the root cause cannot be diagnosed from our end. So I only back-up my numbers and calendar information, then format the phone.
And I also have a habit of rebooting my phone every 3 days or so.. it's some habit I've adopted ever since 7610 until now. Up to date, I've rarely encountered hanging or auto-rebooting issues..

I have Nokia E71_v1, I got lots of strange problem like:
1- The camera didnt save the images and create the images like this: Name of the image*jpg but I can take videos without a problem.
2- when I put anything in the memory card or the phone memory it became currpted and then I couldnt open them at all, the message "can open the file" or "file is currpted" appears.
3- I couldnt install any application to the phone, if I put any sis file on the memory I get "file currpted" message but if I sent it to the phone via bluetooth I could install it.
4- The name of the folders usually change their name and currpted characters appeard in the folder naming.
5- When I added any mp3 files to any memory the files are disappeared.

You better reset the E71. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings. Reformat the card in the phone and remove the card using the menu from the power button. Do not encrypt the card as a test.

Hibernate-very strange problem, help please

Hi, i got such a strange problem that im sure you ll think im doin crazy talk :) , i dont see why this would happen at all, i have a class called "Package", mapped to a table "package". whenever i do a query on this table using hibernate, even the simplest "find all" kinda of query, hibernate does update on the table b4 doin the query! even more weird, it does the update when the first query on this table happens, it deletes all values of a column (yes only this column); then if i do the same query again, no update at all. however if now i mannuall add those missing values, it does the update again and deletes them! sry its confusing, heres my code and more of wat i done:

Hello Every One, I m not new to java but i m facing a strange problem.
I have wriiten a simple applet but my browser does not show that applet, while it shows applets on the internet. which shows that JVM is installed.
But i don't know why ie does not show my applets. it throws ClassdefinitionNotFound Exception. very strange, while class is in the local same directory.
Still for the confirmation i have given class path in code base attribute.
But it did't work.
Please tell me where is problem or tell me solution.

Strange Problem with ARD 2.2 *Please Help*

Strange Problem with ARD 2.2 (2 problems)
We have a classroom lab with 14 G5 PPC's running 10.4.11 with ARD 2.2 clients installed.
We controlled all the G5's from a PPC Mac Mini running 10.4.11 with ARD 2.2, this was our Admin machine in our server room.
We then added a teachers machine in the lab, an iMac PPC running 10.4.11 and ARD 2.2 also with admin status.
Everything was working fine!
We then upgraded the iMac PPC to an iMac Intel with 10.4.11. We installed ARD 2.2 admin and did the intel intergration.
Everything worked fine.
The iMac PPC was moved to another location, ARD was removed following instructions on the Apple website telling us to delete the application then run some terminal commands to remove pref's.
Then our Intel iMac screen broke, we had the "lines" problem so bad only half the screen was visible. Long story short Apple wanted to charge us almost half the cost of the machine (no Applecare as it was a donated machine) to repair the screen!
So we moved the PPC iMac back into the lab, re-install ARD 2.2.
Now here is the problem, I can control, observe and run almost any command but cannot share with any computer!
2nd,the Mac Mini Tech computer is running fine but cannot control or observe the PPC iMac teacher machine (we were able to do this before) I can even share the Mac Mini with the iMac but cannot observe or control!!
Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand, do you mean in System Pref's under sharing? Or is there somewhere else I need to enable to control?
Seems like a hassle to reinstall the entire OS just to fix this problem, I am able to do everything else, except observe from one admin to another, and control from 1 admin to clients.

Oracle 9.2: Really strange problem so Please Help!

I have a simple sproc (for testing) that updates one column in a table and the where clause uses two in params and the set clause uses a local variable. I stepped through it in JDeveloper and saw the execute of the update and commit statements and in params' values and the local variable's value, but the row will not be updated! If I changed the where clause to use literal values (303 and '1045225') and the set clause to use 3, then it works. If params and a variable are used for these three values, the row does not get updated! And when I added the dbms_output.put_line to print out the param's value and the variable value, they are all there! Here is the code:

Help! A strange problem!

I met a strange problem. I just brought a laptop (Toshiba, OS is windows XP) and I installed J2ee1.3.1 and JSDK 1.4.1 on it. When I tried to use deploytool to deploy my application, the laptop went down and can't be restarted by ctrl-alt-del. I had to turn off the power to turn it off. This even happened when I tried to add or remove a class file from the JAR. All my programs worked fine in any other computers.
I'm wondering if there are bugs in J2EE or some problems with my laptop.
Anyone met the same problems before?

Computer slower and a few other strange problems since upgrading to SL

Hi all,
About a month ago, I upgraded my mid-2009 MBP to SL. I'm now on 10.6.1. Ever since the upgrade, my computer's been somewhat slower than it was when I ran Leopard (although many people I know say their machines are faster). I did restart several times at one point, and that seemed to speed it up, although it still experiences delays I didn't have before. I've also had a bunch of strange issues:
1) Safari is most noticeably slow, especially when using something like Top Sites on Safari 4. I alleviated this problem somewhat by setting new tabs to open a blank window rather than Top Sites, but even so, Safari is generally slower, gives me 'pinwheels' often, and also is less stable.
2) The other day, I restarted to find that all fonts except system fonts had been mysteriously deactivated. As a designer, I rely heavily on my many fonts, which I manage using Linotype FontExplorer.
3) Today, I opened my computer up after having it sleeping in a backpack, and it had turned off. It was not out of battery; it had just turned off for no apparent reason.
4) Judging by Activity Monitor, RAM is being used somewhat more heavily by the system, contrary to the advertisements of a 'lighter' footprint for SL as compared to Leopard. However, according to Activity Monitor (which I check frequently), the processor does not appear to be getting taxed any more heavily than under Leopard, which makes the sluggishness more inexplicable.
5) Yesterday, I could not get my computer to recognize my Time Machine backup disc. After restarting, it worked, but this is a pain.
I appreciate any advice I can get. Does anyone else have similar problems or solutions? Or is the general consensus that these are SL bugs that Apple will work out by about 10.6.4 or so?

I began this thread awhile ago, but the essence of it is that I had a number of strange problems, although mostly my computer was just slower, when upgrading from Leo to SL.
I've now wiped my HD and re-installed SL. It seems faster, although there are still a few issues:
1) iWork (Pages, Numbers) has very weird coloring. All the text looks light blue and/or cyan, and I can't fix it.
2) Although initially Safari worked great, lately it's been going back to its habits of being slow and showing strange things like chopping up the 'Top Sites' view, i.e. rendering it in an off way.
3) Adobe CS3 will not install properly. I get them loaded up, but when I try to launch a program, I get an error that says "licensing for this product has stopped working". I cannot get to the 'activate' page, even though I uninstalled and deactivated CS3.
In the interest of full disclosure, I did restore my home account after clean installing SL-- maybe I should have brought the files over folder by folder rather than bringing back my whole home folder with its settings? I wonder if I accidentally brought over Adobe's FLEXnet folder too.
Also, does anyone know if Adobe CS3 can cause these problems with Safari and other programs? It just seems that the whole machine was slower after installing CS3, even though I wasn't running the programs.

Submitting a form with enter key causing strange problems

I am having a very strange problem with a webapp I am currently developing. I am using JSF 1.2 along with Facelets and RichFaces. I have coded a workflow/wizard 4-step process, and on some pages I have 4 submit buttons that all call different actions on the page. The users thought it would be useful to have the enter key submit the form, so I followed some online resources to trap a keypress using javascript, looking for the enter keycode and calling document.getElementById("elementName").click(). This works fine most of the time. Sometimes, though, it seems as if an entire new session is being created, and odd behavior starts happening. For example, my page will only include 2 of the 4 facelets on the screen -or- I will get NullPointerExceptions for objects that I know have been created in the session bean I am currently using -or- I will get a duplicate form Id after trying to re-submit the page. Could the javascript click simulation not be submitting all of the form elements or is the enter key also acting like its default action (the form submission) in addition to the "click"? I'm really at my wit's end here (plus it's nearly 3 AM, that never helps things). All of the buttons being clicked are standard h:commandButtons. There is some setTimeout logic included to disable the buttons on the page to prevent double clicks (I cannot disable them onsubmit because disabled buttons don't pass the right values, perhaps that's causing it, but if so, clicking the buttons with the mouse would cause that issue too, right?)
I am not posting the code (yet), but if anyone wants to take a look see and see if I am doing something really abhorrently wrong, I'm more than willing to, I'm just curious if anyone has had problems regarding javascript submission of forms via the click() method. Clicking the button does not exhibit this type of behavior. Just as a side note: I am doing different things with the enter key depending if a modal window is open (the enter key closes the modal if it's up, and if not, it submits the form via a button click).
Any help is much appreciated, if anyone has any inkling about where I should start looking for answers it would be really helpful.

You need to suppress the event handling after programmatically clicking the button.
