[HELP] "streaming JAR is not found" during MapReduce with R

After I upgrade my ORCH-1.1 to 2.0, I got an error like this when execute MapReduce via R:
DBG: 11:12:00 [ER] streaming JAR is not found at "/home/hadoop/hadoop-0.20.2/contrib/streaming/hadoop-0.20.2-streaming.jar"
Error: execution aborted
BTW, I have specified environment variable "*HADOOP_STREAMING_JAR*" and the file */home/hadoop/hadoop-0.20.2/contrib/streaming/hadoop-0.20.2-streaming.jar* exists.
Could you please give some advice?
Thanks.

After reading source code, I got a w/a. Using assign function to modify initial environment "streaming.lib": assign("streaming.lib", <PATH_JAR> , ORCHcore:::.orch.env)
The difference between 1.1 and 2.0 is they have different variable names. In ORCH-1.1 the name is ORCH:::.orch.env. It changed to ORCHcore:::.orch.env in ORCH2.0.
Maybe it's useful for people in the same situation like me.
Sorry for bothering.

The following script class will write a log file entry. See if it will run for you.
The script is using a class object that you might not have seen before. A little intro:  The top section is just for testing the class. Normally I just comment this out after the class is working well.  It should run right way. I would save the vbs file in the editor, That way when you are using autoactpath or currentscriptpath variables they will be able resolve the paths.

  • Class not found during deserialization of descriptor UserSession

I am using JDeveloper 3.1.1.2 (build 767) to deploy an EJB to Oracle 8.1.6 and I get the following error message....
Generating EJBHome and EJBObject on the server...
Class not found during deserialization of descriptor UserSession
*** Errors occurred while deploying the EJB to JServer ***
    *** Deployment completed ***
    I've tried
    a) to deploy all the classes in the project,
    b) create a new project step by step,
    c) use 'deployejb' and I still get the same error...
    Can anyone help? Thanks.

Yep, JDeveloper auto generates the <>.ejb and it is a binary file.
Seems a pretty specific error message....any help available from the JDev team??

  • SBA_$(Version_enu_Windows_Seibel_Tools.jar was not found

    Hi
I am trying to install Seibel tools on my Windows laptop. When I run the image_creator and select the directory having Seibel_tools.jar file , I get this error message
    SBA_$(Version_enu_Windows_Seibel_Tools.jar was not found
Not sure why this message is given even though the file is there.

    Thanks Jaume.
Here is what I want to do. Please let me know the correct steps.
I want to understand Seibel Data Model for "Marketing" related tables because we need to build a datawarhouse on to of that. I didn't find any document that shows relationship among Seibel tables. I came to know that it can be veiwed from Seibel Tools. I don't have anything related to seible installed on my laptop. I don't have access to Seibel transactional system due to security reasons.
What at minimum should I install on my laptop(Windows 7, 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard disk) to see that data model and what are the steps.
Thanks in advance for helping in it.
    regards

  • Problem deploying connector: META-INF/ejb-jar.xml not found in jar file

              Has anyone seen this problem:
I built Sun's Blackbox implementation and packaged
it identical to the BlackBoxNoTx.rar included with
Weblogic's 'jconnector' sample (even using the same
ra.xml and weblogic-ra.xml). When I try to deploy
              it, the server reports:
              java.io.FileNotFoundException:
META-INF/ejb-jar.xml not found in jar file
I have no idea why the server thinks my connector
is an EJB. If I deploy the BlackBoxNoTx.rar included
with the sample, everything works without a hitch.
The only variable that I'm changing in my BlackBoxNoTx.rar
is that I build the Blackbox classes myself--otherwise,
the RAR packagings are identical. Any assistance is
greatly appreciated since I'm banging my head against
              a wall...
              Thanks,
              -jason

I was finally able to resolve this one. On the odd chance that someone else encounters
the same problem, here's what went wrong:
My RAR file had two directories: 'META-INF' and 'meta-inf'. The first was created
by the jar tool and contained the manifest.mf file. The second I created manually
and it contained my ra.xml and weblogic-ra.xml. When I examined the RAR using
any tools or I extracted the contents, it looked like it only contained one directory:
              META-INF (because NT is case-insensitive).

  • Error:verifier jar file not found

    Hi,
I found problem "verifier jar file not found" while building a package in Aspects Developer Evaluation version.

  • Class not found during deployment

I'm getting "class not found during deserialization of descriptor" during deployment of an EJB. What does this mean?

The problem is I am trying to use JavaMail in an EJB and it gives me the error if I create a javax.mail.Session. If I comment out the Session, deployment is fine. I am thinking that maybe the problem is I am using 8i version 8.1.5 and it only supports java 1.1.8.

  • ITunes Helper.exe - Entry point not found error after upgrade

I just tried to install the latest iTunes software for Windows on two separate PCs running XP Pro SP3 and get the same error on both PCs at every windows startup: iTunes Helper.exe - Entry point not found. The procedure entry point sqlite3preparev2 could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll. Is this a known issue with a fix?

Hmmm. Roy B has some advice on that one in the following post:

  • File not found during installation (WinXP)

Well, I downloaded Oracle 11g for Windows (32 bit) from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html, and, basically, after having had some trouble configuring a new database, I selected the option to (simply) install a database through the wizard. I breezed through the settings, and, ran the installation wizard, however, some files seem not to be available within \win32_11gR2_database_1of2\database, or perhaps my laptop (Amilo Pro 8210) is too slow to be able to read these files.
The errors show up during Setting up Oracle Database 11g 11.2.0.10. The errors showing up within the UI are as follows:
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\db2gc
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oc4j\OC4J_DBConsole\config\system-application.xml
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\db_home_1\oc4j\j2ee\OC4j_DBConsole\config\system-jazn-data.xml
NOTE: It is quite painful that there is no functionality to enable me to upload attachments (e.g. screenshots and log files) because it is very time consuming to copy everything manually, and, it is human nature to get bored typing after a while, so please, Oracle, pimp this profile :~) I did not take exhaustive screenshots, the error log files shows quite a few exceptions as well:

Your imagination is not limited, my friend. I have already told you that I have unzipped the folders, and, it is not the scope of this forum to have myself insulted in this manner.
Seriously, one expects forum members to be respectful rather than talk garbage about manuals, I was only asking for help, because I thought that files were missing from the installation pack.
I might be your next client for all you know.

No offence was intended - it was merely a tongue-in-cheek observation. If you read my previous two replies in this thread, they are courteous to a fault - as are all my posts.
The forums are a volunteer organization - people take time out from their personal and professional lives to help others. Some folks, thankfully a very small minority, use the forums as a free personal support/helpdesk tool to read all the documentation on their behalf and look up or solve things on their behalf. The forums work best when there is real dialogue and exchange of information, rather than monosyllabic answers and mudslinging.

  • Aspects Developer "Verifier jar file not found error"

    Hello all.
I'm working in a Java Card project and I have some troubles.
When I tried to compile, verify and load my solution in Aspects Developer's Software, I achieved the following error message: " could not found Verifier jar file".
So I couldn't test my applet nor simulate it.
Then I compiled myself (with Java Card's commands) and execute the verifier file provided with Java Card, and all was good, so i decided to test my java card applet on the simulator or the real card, both with Aspects Developer SW.
Then the error I got was "Read past end of stream".
What am I doing in the wrong way? What can I do test my applet in a Simulator?
Thank very much for your help.
    Regards.
    Mike L.

    Hi,
This error message indicates that an incompatible version of the Java JDK is being used with Developer.
The release notes distributed with Developer are a little misleading. Currently Developer supports Java JDK versions greater than 1.2.2 but not 1.4.x. For example, I have JDK 1.3.1_06 installed on my machine.
Developer currently supports JavaCard development kit 2.1.2 and this specification restricts the versions of JDK that can be used. For more detail look at JCDevKit_User_Guide.pdf which can be found under <JAVA_CARD_INSTALL_DIR>\java_card_kit-2_1_2\doc\en\guides

There are two things I observer here.
              1. The ResourceAdapter class does not seem to be found by Weblogic. It's part of the javax.resource.spi package.
I checked the weblogic.jar archive in the WL-HOME/server/lib folder. It does not seem to have the class. Why ?
              2. It complains about the ManagedConnectionFactory not being found. Am assuming that if the RA was deployed
in the first place, I would not have seen this error (coz, the ManagedConnectionFactory would have been
deployed in the previous step). Right ?
I did observe that WL 7.0 supports only JCA 1.0. In JCA 1.0's (public) API, there is no mention of the
javax.resource.spi.ResourceAdapter class, though the spec talks about it. ??
Note: I had designed and implemented my RA as per JCA 1.5 (but nothing 1.5-specific, I guess).
              Any ideas ?
              thanks,
              raghu

I figured it out. Darn simple.
My ManagedConnectionFactory implementation referenced ResourceAdapter as
it has to implement the ManagedConnnectionFactory interface of JCA 1.5.
In JCA 1.0 (which is supported by WL 7.0 & 8.1), the ResourceAdapater
is undefined. Hence, the classloading problem.
              Sorry for any confusion.
