Help !! stuck on Mavericks and won't install

I got this AFTER the install (but it won't work).."The OS X upgrade couldn't be started because the disk Macintsh HD is damaged and can't be repaired. After your computer restarts, back up your data,erase your disk, and try installing again. Click restart to restart your computer and try installing again "
BUT I click restart and it wants me to choose which start up disk and there is nothing to choose, so I click cancel and it's starting the install all over again !!!!
I can't do anything, I am totally stuck, PLEASE ANY HELP !
I was going to back up my data but now I can't even do that

I dropped my phone on the "ringtone switch" and now it's stuck on silent and the phone does not vibrate either.
Does anyone know how to go around this without taking the phone in for repair and spending $200?

Okay ... so it's not one of the cases of bodged up ACLs on the Apple folder in Common Files. (That's been underlying a few of the recalcitrant E7W5s.

I'm having similar problems with 10.5. I managed to install it but when I try to run itunes it doesn't open correctly and when I view my account the screen is not presented in the correct format. When I try to search for music it finds nothing. So I ran the diagnostics option but this came back with an error ' secure link to itunes failed'. It also said that the internet connection was verified but when I went into the help option it said I wasn't connected to the internet but as you can see I was and am. I've now uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, each time I uninstall I've followed the correct sequence as recommended:-
1. Itunes
2. Quicktime
3. Apple software update
4. Apple mobile device support
5. Bonjour
6. Apple application support
I've noticed now that 'quicktime' didn't get reinstalled, not sure if that's the problem. Also when I rebooted after the last Uninstall I received a new error message ' Applesyncnotifier.exe - unable to locate component'. I've also noticed that my CPU is running at 50% according to task manager when I've got apple loaded, but it goes down to less than 20% when it's uninstalled and even goes down to 0%. Clearly, there are a number of people with similar issues and Apple need to sort it quickly.

Please check and ensure that you should not have any prior version of Acrobat already installed on your computer.
Do you get any specific error message?
You might try installing Acrobat from a different browser.

Latest Revel IOS update crashes and won't install

I have been using Revel v 2.3.1-548 on iPhone 5 and iPad 3 without any issues. An update was released today (29 June) and this won't install and crashes the app on both devices so I have had to go back to the old version. Anyone else having this problem?

iphoto is stuck on import and won't stop when I click 'stop import'. I forced the photo card to eject and it still won't stop preparing to import. How do I force it to stop since there seems to be a problem.

Tried to install OSX Mavericks, Now Won't Install

Started to download and install OSX Mavericks on my Mac Pro laptop. For some reason download failed, and I get a message to that effect. Message says to go to "Purchased Items" in App Store and try to download again. Continually get message that there is an error and download fails. Any suggestions to get the OSX Mavericks successfully downloaded?

Ok so I worked out how to get into recovery mode. Turns out I was doing it wrong! I used an external USB drive to access recovery mode.
I ran disk utility which identified and fixed some errors on the HD. I thought this might solve the problem but when I restarted the same problem occurred. I then restored my time machine backup which thankfully worked.
I tried installing mavericks again! Upon restarting and completing the install, I got the message 'OSX has been installed. Your computer will now restart'. After the countdown had finished I got the beach ball which span eternally again, just like last time. After about 10 mins I did a hard reset and again OSX won't load.

Hi all, I posted my problem a week ago on the wrong board I think! and didn't get nay answers so hopefully will have more luck here :) I have always had Flash on my Mac (Yosemite) always updated no problem. It said today I needed to update it so clicked on the install button and did the usual but it keeps getting stuck around the 30/35% stage. I have followed steps on Adobes help pages, tried installing Flash and then re-installing but it keeps doing the same thing! Any ideas on what it could be thats stopping it ??
