Help suddenly my imessage app disappear?

imessage app is gone all of sudden? Even in setting its completely gone only facetime app is there how could it happen? Im using ipad2 in ios8.1.2 please help tnx

iMessage can only sent to someone who also have iMessage configured.

Need Help - All of my apps disappeared

Hello all, I have many friends with iPhones and none have had this happen, so I am coming to the experts. Yesterday while listening to a podcast, I decided to check the weather. I clicked the home button and scrolled over to where the app is, and to my horror, all my apps were gone. I have ios5, but not the most recent update. When I check system storage in settings it shows that there is space being taken up by the apps, but there is nothing showing in the app count that shows up on that screen. I tried doing a hard reboot, I tried downloading a new app to see if it would bring them back and nothing works. I even tried enabling restrictions and disabling restrictions as well and no luck. Has anyone else had this happen or know how to fix it. I think I have a backup from a couple of weeks ago, but if I have to go that route, won't it erase my current text messages and pics? I'm wondering if I create a backup of the phone in its current state if that would reload the apps when I restore from this backup. This is not a jailbroken phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Since you've tried a reset, and restart, but neither resolved, next step would be a restore from backup.
You can certainly sync the device first and see if that makes a difference and then restore, but it will either update or overwrite the current backup. Based on this thread, there appears to be no way to force iTunes to create a new backup instead of updating the current one. I would recommend before syncing and allowing iTunes to update the backup that the current backup be copied to a different location on the computer, this way it can be put back if you want to restore to it after syncing.

IMessage app disappeared after iOS 8.3 upgrade

It didn't disappear immediately; was able to send a couple messages earlier today. But since this afternoon, I cannot find the app anywhere on my iPhone 5s. If I go into my contacts and send a message to someone through there, it works and I can see the previous messages back and forth with that particular person. But the app iself is just gone.

I understand that you are unable to locate your Messages application on your iPhone. There may be a couple of different steps I would recommend in this situation.
First, I suggest searching for Messages with Spotlight as described in the attached article below. If the application is able to be found, please look on all pages of applications and in folders to locate the application.

If you are still unable to locate Messages, you may want to consider resetting your Home Screen Layout. To complete this task, please use the attached iOS 8 User Guide (page 28) as a reference.

Start over. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout to return the Home screen and apps to their original layout. Folders are removed and the original wallpaper is restored.

Badly need some help: SMS and MMS App DISAPPEARED

Hi there! I got my BlackBerry Curve 8520 a few weeks ago. It was working well until last saturday morning. My "SMS & MMS App" is missing! I tried to look for my messages but I don't see them even after clicking on the Messages App (the one that looks like an envelope)>View Folder>SMS Inbox but I don't see any messages there. How can I get it back?
By the way, the OS is v4.6.1.272 (Platform 4.2.0.118)

Yep. I got the question mark when I opened your URL so I looked through the source code for the file:

Reloading the page also showed the file.
Call your server and ask them about the .m4v file extension. They may need to update some files or you may need to edit your asp code that calls the file.

It's not possible to delete it. Try resetting the home page layout. It has to have been moved to another page or a folder... oh, wait. you can't reset the home page layout without getting to it.
Go to the search page (press the home button once when on the first screen or swipe right from the home screen and type settings. Provided you have not turned off application search results in spotlight settings, you should be able to get to it from there.

Some apps disappeared suddenly

Hi,
At least 20 apps disappeared suddenly from my iPad (some were even factory preinstalled). At first they appeared faded and inaccessible. So I powered off the device and when I turned it back on all those apps had disappeared. So I went on AppStore, found them and tried to reinstall them. But then I got this message about not having enough available storage to download the apps. But what I don't understand is that those apps were already on my device for a long time and I downloaded nothing new before they disappeared.

The preinstalled apps cannot be deleted or installed again. They are part of the iOS. Try a reset and see if that makes the apps reappear.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

When I went to reload my phone it gave the option of restoring with icloud or itunes so i chose itunes (assuming icloud would have many more bugs). Afterwards, I had no music and 6.6g of other.
What I did was go into itunes, clicked my iphone 4, and clicked on each of the top tabs (summery, info, apps, ringtones, music, etc.) and ensured I had them all clicked onto sync/selected playlist etc.As my phone restored, the 6.6g of other dropped to .99g of other.
Unfortunately, all my songs are gone but everything else seems to be in tact. I don't think there is any way around this issue for now with the new ios 5 update when syncing either an ipad or iphone. I have an ipad 2 but am going to hold off on updating it until apple gets the bugs sorted out because, I'm sure you will agree, getting the music back to where you want it to be is a total nightmare and takes ages to not only pick the right songs and artists to put on it, but also the ones that will fit correctly with the space, depending on the size you have.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions to be sure Camera, Safari and Installing Apps are set to On. If they are check all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

Have you tried re-booting your WiFi router ? It may seem OK on your PC, but a re-boot may help.

Paid-for apps disappeared after iPhone update - please help!

I was thinking of sending a formal complaint and claim my money to Apple but thought I would give this Forum a try first.

I tried your link but none of the options apply (e.g. my App Store doesn't show the 'Purchased' thing on my iphone4).
I know data and settings are part of the backup but, mate, these apps have not been backed up! Plus, my wife updated her phone last night and the same happened to her!!!!
So annoying.

The Messages app is part of the iOS operating system on your iPhone, so it can't be deleted. That's the good news. So, it may have been moved to a different home screen. You can use the Spotlight feature to search for the app on your iPhone. Here's how:

The iMessage is built right in the SMS app itself. Apple will automatically check whether the person that you want to send SMS to has iOS 5 and with iMessage turn on, if yes then your SMS Send button will change from green color to blue color to indicate that you are sending iMessage.
