Help sync problems!!!!

Please explain this to me or help me find a solution to my problem!
I received my iPad 2 this week as a gift (which is turning into a nightmare) and I started to sync my iTunes with it. It went fine, sync 1780 of my songs only a 66 songs that could not be located was not synced the first time. It work excellant!! I located the missing songs and synced again, suddenly it gives me an error (-69) message and says that iPad could not be synced due to this error. I ejected my iPad, turned it off, turned my laptop off and tried again, same error! I switched USB ports, first I thought it was my USB power hub - not the problem! I synced my movies, halfway through same error! I tried again to sync my music and suddenly it starts to sync all my music over again, realised that somehow by unchecking sync music when I tried to sync my movies it removed all my songs from my iPad. Now I have no music or movies due to this error!!!! Switched off iPad and laptop, and tried different USB ports, switched to my iPod's cable=same problem.
Ok I figured it must be faulty files... but what I don't understand my iPod works fine with these songs and movies!!!!!! It is the newest version of iTunes (10.1.3.55) and iPad software version (4.3.3) and Windows XP.
How can I fix this problem? (without deleting my whole library....)

Thanks HuskieN! I tried that and it still found a problem. So I decided to reinstall iTunes, still had a problem.
So I removed iTunes from windows, and installed it again. Removed my music, the whole shabang! Finally it started to sync my music, untill it reached 700 songs, found a song with a problem. So a forgot to remove the problematic songs, I removed them. But now, it starts to sync and reaches the 2 nd song and finds a problem with it, I removed it. Again starts to sync reaches the 2 nd song= finds a problem with it ( error msg appears with -69 error). Wanted to sync my movies, no such luck keeps starting to sync music first. I don't want to uncheck sync music otherwise I will lose the songs I have on my iPad.
What else can I try?

Help - SYNC problem watching video on Fancast

On both of my computers , When I watch a video on Fancast and other sites that use Flash Player the video and voice is not in sync. The longer you watch the farther the voice and video gets out of sync. The voice is ahead of the video. The video is also a little choppy. I use Firefox and Explorer browsers and both have the same problem. I have updated both as well as Flash Player on both computers. When I watch videos that use other players I do not have this problem. So if anyone can help please do ,it is not good to watch shows so out of sync.

Help sync problem

My iphone is currently synced to my old computer but i have a feeling this is going to break very soon and i want to sync it to my laptop- i use it more.
I dont have a problem with loosing photos/videos i imported them to another computer. But i am worried about loosing old and very important, special messages to me and brand new apps i have just downloaded. Im not to worried about the music because id rather start a new, updated more organised playlist anyway. Is there a way i can sync my iphone to my laptop without loosing my messages and apps? please help.

Just sync with your old computer, the playlist will erase automatically since you are syncing with a different library.

HELP~ Syncing Problem with Outlook

I absolutely loved my Blackberry till about a week ago. I am a teacher so I use the Calendar in Outlook alot for all my meetings and etc. I syc it everymorning when I get to school. I have noticed now on my laptop everytime I syc it with my Blackberry it erases the event from Outlook but puts in on my Blackberry. My Blackberry has all the events but my Calendar on my laptop has nothing.
I tried changing the settings on the syc software and nothing. Called Customer support they wanted $$$$ to fix it.
If anyone can give me a hand I would greatly appreciate it!

I use both Outlook (on XP) and just got an iphone for my wife's Powerbook. In looking in outlook help one thought I had is are all user's (ie your wife) logged off of windows? In other words making your profile the only active choice when syncing? To take it a step further try rebooting and only logging in your profile. If this doesn't help try getting a hold of tech support with iphone.

I downloaded my sons ipod 4g to the new iOS and now when we try to sync it says we have no space, but there is nothing but a few apps on his ipod. I've tried to reset but that didn't help the problem. What can I do?

2014 Sync problems on iPod classic / Please help!! 2014

I really need some help with this problem I am having... I have done some research for the past few days on my own but nothing I have found has helped.
First some specs on my device...
iPod Classic: 80 GB (I believe this is iPod with video, assumed on the fact that it supports movie syncs)
iPod software version: 1.1.2 (up to date according to iTunes)
Formatted for Windows
Syncing to Dell Inspiron with Windows 7
iTunes updated to current version (11.4)
I had much mof my music library uploaded onto my iPod for quite sometime. (close to 14,000 songs synced at 192 kbps) I often like to put my iPod on shuffle and just listen to whatever comes on, but here and there I will skip songs until something I am in the mood for comes on... I began to notice that my iPod was freezing (ON THE DISPLAY ONLY!!! Playback through speakers continued) when I would skip through songs... Once the screen dimmed however, I could once again skip to the next song. I figured this was a problem concerning corrupted files or something similar. These are the steps I took..
1.) Updated iTunes to version 11.4 and checked for further updates
2.) ATTEMPTED to check disk within Windows (was unsuccessful and heard the iPod making a lot of 'clicking' noises from within the casing)
3.) Performed an iPod restore within iTunes
4.) Performed a check disk within Windows and recovered any bad sectors (SUCCESSFUL)
5.) Selected 'Music' sync and the option for 'Entire music library'
6.) UNCHECKED 'Include music videos'
7.) Reconfigured settings as they were before and made slight changes..
     a.) Checked 'Open iTunes when this iPod is connected'
     b.) Checked 'Sync only checked songs and videos'
     c.) Checked 'Convert higher bit rate songs to '192 kbps' AAC'
     d.) Unchecked 'Manually manage music and videos'
     e.) Unchecked 'Enable disk use'
8.) Began a sync on my iPod... With well over 10,000 songs I knew this was going to be a lengthy process.. I left computer unattended..
When I returned to my computer, iTunes was unresponsive... The only way I could get iTunes to show was to minimize a Window on top of iTunes. iTunes states 'Syncing iPod... Do not disconnect' but does not show a rolling progress bar.. I cannot cancel sync, I cannot eject iPod, I cannot close iTunes...
I attempt to eject iPod device through windows, UNSUCCESSFUL (Cannot unmount generic volume while the device is in use)
I 'Ctrl+Alt+Dlt' to Task Manager and End Program 'iTunes' UNSUCCESSFUL..
I End Process 'iTunes.exe *32' and eject iPod through Windows SUCCESSFUL
When the iPod displayed 'OK to disconnect with load bar, I disconnected the device.
As soon as this bar was full iPod IMMEDIATELY rebooted completely and powered back up with only 20 songs synced. (Frustration ensues)
Confused and thinking maybe my screen saver caused an interruption during the sync, I changed screen saver and power saving options to eliminate any possible interruption, REPEATED STEPS 3-8 ABOVE, and started sync again.. Left computer unattended
Again, coming back to computer much later, iTunes was in the same unresponsive state. Closed iTunes and began looking for answers on the internet. Any and all answers I found stated I should restore iPod, update iTunes, run diagnostics tests, etc., etc...
All of which I had done EXCEPT for running a diagnostics test..
Running a diagnostics test: I ran only the tests concerned with 'Device Connectivity' and 'Device sync' tests.. Here are the very interesting results I yielded from these tests...
Device Connectivity Test:
Support services:
     'iPod support service is running.' Status: GREEN
     'iTunes Helper is running.' Status: GREEN
     'Apple Mobile Device is running.' Status: GREEN
Ports:
     'USB ports verified.' Status: GREEN
     'No FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports found.' Status: GREEN
     'iPod found.' Status GREEN
ALL TESTS PASSED
Device Sync Tests
Results:
     No iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad found. Status: RED
ONE OR MORE TESTS FAILED
I am at a loss, I realize that Apple has discontinued the iPod Classic but does that mean iTunes will no longer support these devices!?
And if ANYONE has ANY suggestions for possible steps I can take to regain syncing privileges to my iPod once again, please let me know!
Also, I have diagnostics test results saved on my desktop and available to post if required!

!UPDATE!
I made several adjustments to my sync options and made some progress and am now trying to sync in 'stages' as I like to think of them.
Here is what I did:
1.) Under 'Music' tab in 'My iPod' options I opted to sync 'Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres'
2.) Selected a small portion of tunes I know I want on my iPod (ended up being close to 3,500 songs.
3.) Under 'Summary' tab I unchecked the 'Sync only checked songs and videos' box
4.) Unchecked 'Convert higher bit rate songs to ___ AAC'
5.) Checked 'Enable disk use'
6.) Ran a SUCCESSFUL sync!
I am now running a sync keeping the same adjustments in place and have added 6,556 songs. (SYNC IN PROGRESS)
I am wondering if trying to convert that many songs to a lower bit rate is causing sync problems and it appears as if I am at least making progress on this. HOWEVER, I really prefer to decrease the bit rate on my songs so I may fit more on my iPod... Usually most of the files I have in iTunes are at 320 kbps with a select few at 192 kbps. I would like to make everything the way it was before my first iPod restore.. 192 kbps, but this also seems to be the cause of the sync problems I am having? Anyone else have a comment on this?

IPad syncing problem - HELP!

iPad sync problem - HELP! I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)" and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad. This just started today. I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help. Any ideas???
I was thinking of restoring, but I've never done it... should I?

Sync problem - need help

Posted earlier toiday about sync problem, get message "Unknown error reported" and sync stops. Tried to go into BBDT and reset sync, but it will nbt allow me to set options. All I can do is click reset sync, get message to allow and then get messaage that sync was reset to my device pin number, never had this happen before. Can anybody help, please.

When you connect your iPhone, does it show up in the left pane of iTunes? If so, what happens when you click it? If not, try reinstalling iTunes.

Please, please help me with my E2 sync problems

I'm at my wits end. For some reason, both of my E2's started having sync problems. I've used Palms for years and loved them. I'm one step from throwing both in the trash and never buying another Palm product. Quick background- I've reloaded the palm desktop software with 6.2 and with 4.2.1 and about the best I've done is to get one synch before it refuses to go further. Here lately I can't even get that. I borrowed an old Palm software CD hoping that would help- I couldn't even import my files. Also- I went back to import my backups, and only one contact showed up. I bought DBfixit, and it showed over 10 thousand errors. That's right, 10 thousand. The last time I ran it I got 6000 errors. I was going to simply convert the Palm backup files to Outlook, but from what I understand I have to get them in the Palm desktop program before I can do that. I can't import anything now. I would really like to continue my love affair with Palm products, but this thing is getting really ugly. I wish I knew how many hours I've wasted in the past month trying to get this resolved. I know one or more of you guys have had this problem, and I beg for your help. Literally. Thanks, John

First off- thanks for trying to help. If memory serves, I started having sync problems over a year ago. I have 2- E2's, one for work, one for personal use. I would sync each Palm to a separate computer. I had my work computer serviced, and they erased the program, so I had to reload the program from Palm. I think I just went with the 6.2 because "newer is better". I immediately started having major problems syncing my work Palm, so I created a separate user name on my home computer to see if I would have better luck with it. I didn't. During this time, I could still sync my personal Palm, but that continued to fade as well. I noticed some Palm files would remain in my computer if I used the "remove program" function, so I went in and manually deleted any other files (except for backup). I've tried reloading the program on my work computer, and basically if I try to sync it with my work Palm, it will get stuck on "Synchronizing Date Book 2 of 12 completed". One other thing I noticed some months back- even when my personal Palm would sync, the phase of the sync on the handheld didn't agree with what was shown on the screen. I bought DBFixit and the first time it ran there was over 10000 errors, and the last time it had over 6000, so apparently things must really be goofed up.
New development: I just tried to sync my work Palm and got a new Fatal Alert error message on the handheld: AddrBDIndex.c,Line:201,Invalid birthday index count=147" whatever that means. When clicking the reset button, nothing responds. The handheld does a soft restart on its own after that.
So, that's about it. I just ran DBFixit on my personal Palm to see what's new in the world of errors. It shows "6702 Errors Found and NONE corrected". If I click okay, then the errors are "fixed" and show 0 errors on the top screen. If I run the program again immediately, it shows 6702 errors, so apparently it's not doing any good. The people at DBFixit seem to be just as puzzled as me. I've had good success with Palm up until a year ago when this mess started. Even if I could get my handheld records to import into the desktop and save them as Outlook files I could see some light, but that apparently isn't going to happen.
This is about all I can recall.

"&" is not the obvious bug/answer. Not sure what went wrong as I cannot select albums and events for sync. Situation is worse for iPad and Apple TV when error 1140 message popped up even before backup get completed.

Download and install the iPhoto 9.4.1 update, which was just released today. It may be the answer to your problems:

Be sure that neither iTunes nor iPhoto is running when you install the iPhoto 9.4.1 update. After installing the update, then restart iTunes and iPhoto. By default, "All photos" is selected. Change this (it's no longer grayed out) to "Selected albums..." and you should be OK.

32G Sync problem. Please help!

I just bought a 32G touch, and when i plugged it in to my computer i followed all instructions, and when it started to sync itunes crashed. I've done everything i can from completley removing itunes from my comp , to restoring my ipod. Any help is welcome please assist me.

Yes there are many people using iphone/ipod touch has slow backup/sync problems but no official resolution released yet.

Outlook 2003 + iPhone calendar sync problem solved

Here is how I solved my sync problem. Seems a lot of people have the same problem here with Outlook sync suddenly not working after it worked fine for a long time.
I've had Outlook 2003 calendar sync with my iPhone for a few month without any problem, but a few days ago the sync suddenly stopped without any error message. iTunes Diagnostic found no problem and I followed all the steps that Apple outlines to fix the problem but nothing worked (TS2776).
As Apple asked to, I created a new user account on my Windows machine and setup a few test calendar entries to sync with my iPhone. That all worked fine.
So I did what Apple doesn't tell you, and I copied my original Outlook Data file (.PST) over to my new user account and tried to sync that one. Now this didn't work. So I knew the problem lies somewhere in my PST file.
I have then tried to create a new one from scratch in my original Windows account, and copy all the data over. Again, it didn't work. So I emptied the file again, and copied all my calendar entries over to the new PST file in batches (first 10, then another 10, etc).
What I found at the end is that one single calendar entry I created a few days ago caused my sync to stop working. Once I removed this entry, everything worked fine again. Don't ask me what was wrong with it (I made a backup just in case Apple wants to see it), but now everything works again.
If you want to save some time to find which one it is, you may start deleting entries that you created just recently before it stopped working.

Hi im having the same problem. I use outlook 2003 on windows xp and until recently my sync (using usb) was working fine. Now it would seem that calendar items are no longer syncing. can you give any further details of the calendar entry which was causing your problem? im wondering if it was added on a certain date perhaps.
I am running the inbox repair tool to see if my pst file has any problems but would appreciate any other help in the mean time.

ICal Print List Hang / Font Issue / Sync Problems...

Okay, here's a couple issues all wrapped up into one thread/post - reason is cause I suspect they may all be tied together somehow, but am not sure.
Sync Problems...
Regarding the Syncing problems, you can find an ongoing thread about @ http://forums.markspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=1632
In short, some of us are having issues with events syncing to our Palm to the wrong timezone, causing them to be an hour off (usually within the new & old DST date change). Yes, all the usual fixes have been tried - pls read the thread noting "adairnet" and ymatto" postings.
Also, in addition to this time issue, I have iCal events that I've deleted in iCal still show up on the Palm after one-way syncing!
Print List Hang...
Every week I print a "list" of events from a certain calendar. The past couple weeks I noticed some lines in the notes field printing on top of each other. Twas odd indeed, but I hadn't had the time to look into the reason. Then this week I was going thru my usual printing proceedure and now iCal locks up, hangs up, crashes, forcing me to force-quit the program. It's usually after I extend the dates beyond 2 or 3 days, but I've not been able to find a consistency. I've redone events thinking they were corrupt with no success.
Font Problems...
After the Print List issue above, I opened my Console program to see if it was reporting anything. At first it indicated that it could not find Helvetica Neue and would substitute it for Helvetica. This put me in touch with some font corruption - so I got rid of those bad fonts and activated Helvetica Neue which got rid of that message. But made me wonder if there are more font problems causing the print hanging & syncing problems. I have FontAgent Pro and do have some font issues that I'm trying to work out.
But the Console is displaying another string of messages every time the Print List proceedure hangs up which I cannot figure out...

So, all of this is causing me to wonder if the iCal or SyncServices database is corrupt. Is there a way to dig into the iCal db and check for corruption &/or fix it?
Or does anybody have any further suggestions on any of these issues?

The SyncServices folder should be avoided like "a swarm of bees". This article discusses some of the issues that can arise when the SyncServices folder is deleted or modified:

Data loss and Data corruption can result from deleting or modifying the SyncServices folder, and that data loss or corruption can be propogated to devices, .Mac, and other applications that sync with SyncServices.
If you have isolated an issue with the other steps in your post, I would recomend speaking with AppleCare before removing that folder.
