HELP: Taking forever to install new keyboard langu...

I tried to install two new keyboard languages on my Lumia 1020:
1. Chinese Traditional BoPoMo
2. Chinese Traditional Handwriting
It's already over 45 min after I added these two languages, but the status for both languages are still showing Preparing download...
Is this normal?
Please help comfirming it.

Lot many users have reported this issue..
1. You may try rebooting the phone..
2. Confirm that Battery Saver mode (under 'settings') is OFF
..and select only 1 download at a time.

My adobe application manager is taking FOREVER to install...

I downloaded Creative Cloud because I thought it was instant download, I guess not. I am saving the file and running it, but the window saying that it's downloading has been the same for 3 hours. The green installation strip is moving so I know it's not frozen, I checked to make sure my firewall allowed the install, but I'm just waiting. I have DSL. Is this normal?

I have successfully downloaded it in the past with zero hassles. However, it is Jan 2015 now and I am trying to download onto a new computer and the adobe installer is taking FOREVER. I have tried it on two separate laptops. I am using the adobe installer for the creative cloud and it has been over an hour and counting. Canceling the download and resuming does not help. The progress bar is at a quarter of the way and that is leaps and bounds beyond where it got on my other laptop.

Windows 7 Corrupted after installing new keyboard

Installed a new keyboard on my Dell 1525 Inspiron computer. Good news the new keyboard works perfectly, bad news, Windows 7 will not launch. I have run the diagnostics and it all says it is fine. I have run the recovery mode and auto repair, and it comes
up and says a recent hardware installation should be removed and try again. So I removed the new keyboard and reinstalled the old keyboard, but did not fix it. Try going back to a previous backup and it did not fix it either. Now what? Should I reinstall Windows
7? I don't have a recovery disc or the original disc since I upgraded from XP to W7 by downloading it. I hate spending $90 dollars on new software as old as the computer is, but it still works really well, which is why I bought the keyboard. Help!!!!!

Is the keyboard a USB device ? Have you tried to choose the "Last known good configurations" option to have a check ? Does machine boot well without the new keyboard ?Can we boot into safe mode ?
There is a possibility that the driver installed for the keyboard is corrupted.It is recommended to download the driver from the manufacturer website for the new keyboard.

Cursor not moving/working after installing new keyboard

I have just finished replacing the keyboard on my HP G72 due to spilling some water on the keyboard a few days ago & some of the keys not working after laptop dried out. However, I find that things are not as they should be as I just can't get the cursor to move. I don't use a mouse & rely on the touchpad. I've tried removing the keyboard & reinstalling a few times but all to no avail & wonder if anybody can give me some advice, even if it's that the keyboard itself might be faulty & I need to buy another one. I don't want to just assume there is a problem with this new keyboard only to find out that the problem lies elsewhere & that there are other things I should be doing or trying.
I did have to install a new keyboard on this laptop sometime last year afer having a similar accident with water spillage, but installing the new one that time was pretty much a piece of cake, I followed the onscreen guides I'd looked at & everything was perfect once I'd installed the new keyboard.

Hi,
If possible try with a USB mouse for sometime. That way if the cursor works then you can try reinstalling the touchpad drivers which might fix the issue. If cursor doesnt work with external mouse also then problem could be hardware related.
Sometimes repeating the process of installing the keyboard all over again also helps.
Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

Why does the ATI Graphics Driver p6624y taking forever to install

my HP advisor suggested I install an ATI Graphics driver update ... p5524y ... so I am attempting to do so. It set a restore point, checked available disk space, connected and downloaded rather quickly ... but the INSTALL/APPLY is taking forever (been running in excess of 1 hour now with 0% showing on progress bar.

Touchpad vanishes after installing new keyboard

I'm trying to figure out what I could have done to cause this problem.
A couple of keys fell off of my keyboard, and a few others were sticking, so I called Lenovo support and they sent me a new one (it came in about two days!) which I promptly installed. The new keyboard works great! However, now my touchpad doesn't work. It is as if it doesn't exist - I looked in the Mouse program (from the Control Panel), and the Touchpad is not even showing up in it. I tried reinstalling the UltraNav drivers, but sadly, it did not work. Luckily the trackpoint works just fine, so I'm not completely ruined.
At any rate, the really strange thing is that my fingerprint reader still works just fine. I mean, it tends to be a little tempermental (that or my fingerprints change on a daily basis), but it's always been like that.
I tried opening it back up and unplugging the touchpad/fingerprint scanner part and then plugging it back in, and also took a look at it to see if anything had clearly fallen off, but it seems just fine. I didn't drop it or do anything else to it when I took out the wrist-rest/touchpad to install the new keyboard.
Any thoughts?

I bought this laptop around August 2007
I'm hoping I can fix this myself without having to order new parts, although that hope is rapidly fading. Thank God Lenovo's support is so easy to deal with, especially with ESC - I used to have a Dell and it was nightmarish dealing with their tech support.

HELP!!! Taking forever to charge new Ipad ***?

I have been charging my new I-pad for 4 hrs from a dead battery out of box. I look at the battery charge icon and it's still empty. Also shouldn't I be a able to use it while it's charging?!? Help meeeeeeeee

New security software is taking forever to install

I haven't used my MacBook Air in a few days & when I used it this morning around 0845 I noticed it needed to update the software & security software. I clicked update & now it just has this little window that says..."installing 1 item" with the App Store logo. The blue progress bar has been at the same spot since it started. I am now afraid something is wrong with it & I have never had any issues with installing any updates before.

Ive been waiting for the latest security update to be finished for almost 6 hours now and all i see is the apple logo and the wheel turning below. Is this normal? If it isnt so what should i do? Ive been updating my macboom pro everytime but i havent waited this much long. Please let me know ASAP.

I need help doing a clean install.( keyboard shortcuts?).Macbook will not read any of the disks/ turns off

I installed a new 'used' Logic board, im my macbook 13.3 and it turned right on!..( i was out of warrenty)
Apple logo and spiing wheel, then turns off..
After reading several forums, I went into self mode, did the 2 checks within in and got an error which pointed to the OS software being currupted..
so I have inserted the Os disk, the disk-repair disk and a disk warrior disk, but none of them are being read. I hear the Macbook starting to read the disk then the disks are ejected and the systen turns off.
Is there a way i can do a clean install on the HD? shortcut keyboard shortcuts?
or force the disks to be read as the first boot device like of that in a PC's bios settup?
I have no data on the computer that I wish to save btw.. just want a fresh install..

Unfortunately the necessary software to reinstall your OS is not located on the hard drive. If your MacBook will not accept the disks you have you are going to need a hardware repair, probably the optical drive.
If you have access to another MacBook you may be able to install the OS on an external hard drive and use that to boot your MacBook. You may then be able to get any data off of your hard drive.

Help broke when I installed new JDeveloper release - HELP!

I just upgraded from JDeveloper 9.0.2.7.98 to 9.0.2.8.26. I installed all the objects from the ZIP file over top of the old directory tree because I don't want to loose the projects I have already under development. How do I fix it?

(1) Go to Tools -> Preferences -> Documentation and make sure "local" help is installed. If you downloaded the jdev9i_base install, you'll need to download the full version.
(2) TO keep your projects, just copy the contents of your "mywork" directory from one version of JDeveloper to the new install. Unzipping on top of an existing JDeveloper isn't something we certify to work (nor try ourselves), so your results may vary as to how well that method works.

The Versions we are using are as follows
DB : Oracle 9.2.0.3.0 on sun solaris
OWB Client : 9.0.4.10.0 (after applying patch:Patch 9.0.4.10.0)
OWB Repository : 9.0.4.0.27
Database is located on on sun solaris and we are trying install the target user from Windows Professional 2000.
The target schema user is created and assigned to default tablespace.
We are doing as per the instructions in the Runtime Assitance Wizard.
1. Initaited the Runtime assitant Wizard from my Windows machine.
2. Provided the required database information and sys user id and password.
3. Checked the option target Schema (As Runtime Repository, Access User and 3 to 4 target schemas are already available). We are trying to install anothor target schema.
4.Selected create a new warehousebuilder Target Schema
5. Provided the Runtime repository owner userid and password which was created long back.
6. Then selected install into an existing user schema and provided the userid and password of the new user which our dba has created using create user option(provided with minimal previleges like connect, resource etc).
7. Then we have selected the tablespaces from the drop down list available (where we have selected the default tablespaces that were assigned by our DBA)
8. After selecting the finish button after sometime it has thrown the error mensioned in my first Post.
9. The log details are also posted in my first post.

Firefox crashes upon opening, despite having tried all help suggestions and re-installing new version.

I have a MAC: 2006, but intel Core Duo; version 10.4.11
I have had some difficulties with my Firefox recently: crashing occasionally, not always loading a page on the first try, saved e-mails or passwords working off and on. I trashed my current version of Firefox (I was told by my tech guys to uninstall it and download a new version, but I couldn't find an uninstall package for mozilla, so I dragged it to the Trash) and I uninstalled flip4MAC, too. I tried to download version 4, but my system could not run it, so I downloaded 3. 16. 12 - it worked really great for a while, but then started to revert to its old problems and my tech guys said I might not have done a complete uninstall- I am a bit of a techno-peasant, so I may have not done it properly. In the meantime, I upgraded my Internet service with Bell and was going to download Snow Leopard- I have Tiger- to see if that helped, but after the upgrade, Mozilla won't even open at all; the window comes up with a tab that says "restore session" and it freezes immediately and then closes with a crash report and an icon in the apps bar called "Crash Reporter." I have copied the incident report and am including it with this email. Bell tech support says it is not their issue, it's mine, which I think is probably correct, but why did it completely crash after the upgrade?
I did go on Mozilla Firefox's website for support through Safari, and tried all the suggestions, but Safari's Mozilla Firefox only displays the search bar and not the address bar, so I used the tip to got ''library/,'' etc to get the crash i.d. I was able to get the i.d., but when I typed in the url with my crash id, I got an error message: File not Found. I tried it more than once, so I copied it from one of the reports sent to you guys and I only hope that you are able to use the crash info I submitted below (after Trouble shooting info).

Taking forever to open new pages, if at all

I've used Firefox for years, and it was always THE best browser. However, the last couple of versions have shared a problem, and it's driven me away from Firefox. First of all, regardless of settings, Firefox insists on opening the last page that was displayed, rather than the Google News page that I've told it open...the preference page *shows* the correct Google News page, but, Firefox continues to go back to whatever was last opened. This is annoying, but, not a game-breaker.
What is, however, is that Firefox has become incredibly slow in opening *any* page, if it opens the page at all. When I attempt to go to a web-page, it appears that it's trying to open that page, but, nothing happens. I get the "loading page", and the url shows up, but, that's it. Sometimes, after several minutes, the page will slowly load; most often, Firefox simply sits there, with no error messages, no "Firefox is not responding" or anything else. I have the latest version of Firefox, along with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Chrome and Opera; all three of *those* browsers open new pages instantly and go to the proper homepage, by the way.
I have completely uninstalled Firefox several times, and deleted every trace of it I could find on my computer, to no avail. I would *love* coming back to Firefox, as I still consider it the best browser, but, with the way it's working, that's not an option.
I have tried every single suggested "fix" in Mozilla support pages, and none have done a bit of good. Any other suggestions?

On the slowness issue, could you try these two diagnostic steps:
(1) Run Firefox in its Safe Mode.
Firefox Safe Mode is a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
''If Firefox is not running:'' Hold down the Shift key while launching Firefox.
''If Firefox is running:'' Either --
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In both scenarios, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Refresh).
Any difference?
(2) Disable the Flash plugin
Since Flash is used so pervasively on the web in the background or for menus, it can be difficult to disentangle Flash issues from other issues. So... here's one way.
Open the Add-ons page using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Then on the right find "Shockwave Flash" and set the permission selector to "Never Activate".
Notice any difference?

Ubuntu 14.04 taking forever to install

Hi,
When installing Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on my 2013 MacBook Air, I get to the partition bit, partition and it gets stuck and has taken over 12 hours so far, with no progress. Is there anything I am doing wrong?
