Help! Text to Voice icon missing

I just downloaded the Text to Voice Extension, and donated $5.00. I can see that it downloaded successfully, it is in my Add-ons Manager, but there is no little speaker icon to be found anywhere on my screen. What should I do? I tried to go to the programmer's homepage but I got this: "Directory has no index file. Browsing this site or directory without an index file is prohibited."

That worked, thank you. I didn't know what the tab strip was, so I looked that up too. When I control-clicked, I could see that Add-on Bar didn't have a check mark, so I clicked it and now I have the speaker icon showing on the bottom right. Thanks.

Text Edit Tool icon missing in Acrobat Standard X

Hi,
In Acrobat 8 Standard, when I click "Text Edit Tool" icon, I can start insert, delete or replce text comments without re-click any "insert", "delete" or "replace" icon in the Text Edit Tool until I press"Esc" key.
I just install Acrobat Standard X these days, It moved the commenting annotation to the right panel with those fancy icons. Looks great! However, I have to click on the "Insert", "delete" or "replace" icon on every action. I am wondering if Acrobat remove the great feature or I am missing something?
p.s. Just found ouy it is called "Text Correction Markup" in Acrobat Reader XI. I can't image paid Acroabat Standard X has less feature than Acrobat Reader XI. Hopefully, Adobe can have a Update to add the "accidentally removed" feature back to Standard X.

Is there no response from Adobe? It's a serious issue that this useful tool was removed (or hidden?) in Adobe X.
I use Acrobat for collaboration for much of my work, and it's a significant burden to have to click on each tool individually.

Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.

While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Help needed: view option icons missing

Hi,
There are only blank space in the bar location where my view option icons and spotlighter use to be.
But I can still click the old position and the same functions still working.It is so inconvenient
because I need to guess the choice.
Does anyone have some ideas about how to fix it?

Help Text Missing

I'm a newbie so forgive my ignorance - I've created a form in Forms Central that includes text fields that include help text. When I save as a pdf form, the Help Text is not there. What am I doing wrong?

My confusion is why the high cutoff freq: fh is ignored when the selected filter type is lowpass. That is one of the filter types that requires a high cutoff frequency.
filter type required inputs:
lowpass filter - high cutoff (the help says in this case high cutoff is ignored?)
highpass filter- low cutoff
bandpass filter- high and low cutoffs
bandstop filter- high and low cutoffs
One reading the help text is left wondering where to wire their high frequency cutoff when they have lowpass filter selected. In actuality, the low cutoff freq: lh acts as the high cutoff input when lowpass filter is selected, but you would only learn this after experimenting with the VI.

Options - Text Editor - C/C++ missing intellisense entry. Intellisense not working

Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ missing intellisense entry. Intellisense not working. Solutions to turn options for the editor off and on are not working. The intellisense entry is present for other languages,
such as C#, but not C/C++.
By not working, I mean the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out, and intellisense files are not produced.

Based on your issue, could you please share me a screen shot about the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out?
Generally, I know that it is default that we can enable the intellisense for C/C++ by going to the TOOLS->Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ ->Advanced-> IntelliSense like the following screen shot.
So please try to check if you set Disable Intellisense property as False in the VS IDE.

Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.
Genious Sidebar
I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.
Airplay Icon Missing from Itunes on PC
I can hit my Airplay devices such as Apple TV and Zeppelin Air with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Just not from the PC Console where is previously enjoyed it the most. So I know the devices are fine. They are all on the same physical wired and wireless network. Even when I put the Zeppelin on the wired LAN there is no Airplay icon in iTunes on the PC.

NOW! i can tell you in my case it was nothing to do with your router or antyvirus ip connection.
my pc is auto updating every sunday and icon has disappeared on monday i realized this fact and i have started uninstalling windows updates one by one after each uninstall i have restarted PC each time always run itunes and check if airplay icon is back. AND THER SHE WAS fiew windows updates uninstalled and icon is back in itunes
Now i can not remember what Update it was KB28 ..... something i didnt wright it down at the time i hope this will help someone.

7:Bug with Panel close fixed. When the user presses the x in the upper right corner the editor will shut down gracefully instead of locking up.
I made a avi file that shows some of the new features for Version 2.2 which I posted the support thread.

Nokia Maps Icon Missing?

Good day everyone.
i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon? thanks for any help.

Right after having my new phone I started exploring its possibilities testing applications from Ovi store. At some point I got some problems with an application so I decided it would be a good idea to try a reset... I first try with an app settings reset to defaults (from the s40 Configuration menu, not the Restoring Factory Defaults menu)... right after that I realized I didn't have Nokia Maps icon in any of the lists of installed applications, nor I could found any loader in both file units, phone and memory card, for it... I was not 100% sure the icon vanished after settings reset, but I supposed it, so I thought something went definitely wrong and I decided to try reset to factory defaults as I just started testing the phone so I hadn't any information saved there to lose... what I could not expect it's that a factory reset will not yield the software at the same very state as what I received short time before. In addition to not getting back the Nokia Maps icon, I noticed another difference in the system, I have an Introduction icon in the list of default applications, that triggers a video playback showing the phone basics... now when I push that button, the playback starts but only for the audio, and instead of the video I show a black screen with a NOKIA logo in the center, the same very screen I see when boot up the phone. Apex 4.2: Help text to show as dotted line instead of default circle

I've entered help text for most fields on a long form.
The help text icon is a grey circle with a question mark in it, which displays to the right of the page item.
Occasionally, the help text icon doesn't fit on the line, and displays slightly or entirely below the page item.
I'd like the help text to display instead on hover of the page item label, which should display a dashed or dotted underline.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Short icons missing - in Win & for easy DMS 7.0

Hi SAP Folks
When we intalled easy DSM ver 7.0 (unicode) in Windows 7 , what we found out was the shortcut icons missing like create folder, create document .
It was possible only with right click option of mouse/keypad
When in Windows XP for the same easy DMS version 7.0 it is visible
Request to help in letting know what is missing .

Anubhav is right. But at the moment EasyDMS 7.1 is in the ramp-up phase till march 2011. Afterwards it should be available in the SAP Service Marketplace.

OLAP connection icon missing in CMC homepage

A problem i am facing recently, may be any f you can help.
OLAP connection icon is missing from CMC home page. No CONNECTION ICON in drop down box.
As a result , secured connections can not be retrieved.
and universe are not opening, and reports are not refreshing as well.
I am using BI 4.0

Point the CMS to another empty schema (new Db). Login to CMC and check whether the
OLAP connection icons are visible.
There is a possibilty that the CMS Db might have got some corrupt entries.
Was there any kind of SP / Patch upgrade activity performed for BO. Or else an upgrade activity in the CMS Db level?
Perform a RDT scan to know the inconsistencies. Refer the below:
