Firstly, until Cisco releases the autonomous IOS (aIOS) for the 1140, you can't use the 1140 unless you have a Wireless LAN Controller.
Next, how does the xDSL come in to your site? Cisco has a number of xDSL ISRs (850/870) integrated with a 4-port (non-PoE) switch (2950-like behaviour).
Last year, Cisco started releasing their new xDSL routers, 860, 880, and 890.

No matter what router or AP model you choose, you need to do a Wireless LAN Site Survey so you will know whereto deploy your AP how may AP's to deploy.
If you want an affordable solution, then Linksys products can be a way to go, however, if you want to go down the Cisco path ... let us know!

Help with choosing product

I am currently looking to to expand the Internet in our building. We want to do this in both hard-wired and wireless capacities. I am looking at purchasing the WRV54G Router and have a question. The area in the building in question already has one hard-wired connection. This is what I would use to expand the capabilities in that area. You would want a VPN endpoint to communicate securely over a public network (internet). VPN tunnel (requires 2 endpoints) is an encrypted form of communication between 2 networks/computers.
I would recommend WRT310N if you have no use for VPN, and it doesn't seem like a requirement for your needs. Once you add the router (whichever wireless you decide to go with) to the network, change it from gateway mode to router mode, and enable dynamic routing. If you have a static route, define it in routing section

I agree with Silkrooster's answer, however I will also say that starting by taking a "good" photo will help you a ton, even before you bring it into a photo editor. It may just be that you need to create a makeshift lighting setup (to avoid problematic shadows), or try taking your photos with a tripod (to avoid blurring).

I would also recommend that you check out Adobe Lightroom, which is a program created specifically for photographers. Below is a video showing how a photo can be vastly improved in 5 minutes! I hope you find this helpful.

Help menus not working for CS5 Production Premium

I have installed the trial version of CS5 Production Premium on a Windows 7 64-bit PC. I canot get the Help menus to work for any of the applications.
Is this a limitation of the CS5 trial version?
I recently purchased Premiere Elements, but I did not deactivate it before installing Windows 7 on my PC. Would this interfere with the help menus for CS5?

I think the Adobe site was down for maintenance a few days ago. My CS5 Help menus are working fine today.

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList. Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid. And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger. Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

Help choosing hardware for lab mirco distilling fermenting plant

I have been fiddling around with LABview for a while now but i have a hard time choosing hardware for a simple slow lab scale fermenting and distilling plant. The hardware should be pc based and able to gather data from various sensors and manipulate pumps and valves. i have been looking into the USB-6501 USB Digital I/O but i am not sure if that is what i need. Any input would be appreciated.

What kinds of signals do the sensors generate? What kinds of signals do you need to control the pumps and vlaves? How fast do things need to be measured and controlled? How much reliability do you need? (That means: Does some thing bad or expensive happen if the computer, software, or DAQ equipment shut down or fail?)

Adobe Presenter is a plug-in application to MS PowerPoint that allows you to add video, audio, Flash and quiz content in to a presentation and then author it out as a Flash based presentation that can the be delivered to others via the web. You are asking about enabling Flash content. In what browser/application are you needing to enable Flash Content?
The 'Not a valid presenter' message is most likely due to you not have the rights to author content to Harvard's e-learning system, but without knowing if the URL is for a Connect account or some other e-learning platform, it's hard to give any useful insight.

4gb of ram should be sufficient and I doubt I would ever upgrade to 8gb.

Help me choose a 865PE board

Hi,
I need some help in choosing the best(most feature packed, fast etc.) MSI 865PE motherboard.
There are two boards that are pretty identical and trying to find the difference between them has been difficult. They are the Neo2-FIS2R and Neo2-PFISR.
Which one of these two should I buy? They cost about the same. What are the major differences between them?

Great, I did see this link earlier but I'm confused by several things and please excuse my ignorance but I have been out of the Hardware scene for 4-5 months which is a long time in hight tech.
First thing on this table that I see on the P version is "P4EE Support" what is this? and why does the first table not support it?
On the first table it had a column "PCB Ver." what is this and where can it be found on my computer or Mobo?

I do find these two tables very confusing and there is little explanation, To me the first table is saying that all the boards only support P4's and not prescott? the second table is saying that only the Extreme Edition supports prescott?
but the second table also lists the FIS2R etc so its all very confusing????

4400 WLC Layer 3 Authentication Status for WLAN Clients

We have 3 4400 series WLC's(wireless LAN controllers). Two 4404 WLC's are on the "inside" of our network and all AP's (access points) on our network use these two WLC's as the primary or secondary controller. The 4402 WLC Anchor controller resides in our DMZ and is used for WLANs that are more oriented for guest usage. These guest WLANs are configured on the inside controllers also, but are "anchored" to the 4402. On the anchor controller we are using layer 3 Web Authentication for the WLAN "Guest". This WLAN uses the internal web-auth page within the anchor controller and a username/password combo that is locally defined on the anchor controller.
Functionally there is no issue. Users connecting to the WLAN are presented with the web-auth page upon connecting to the WLAN and opening a web browser. The issue is how the layer 3 authentication information is presented on the Monitor Clients page of the "inside" WLC's management screen as compared to the "anchor" WLC.
For example, if we log in to the anchor controller and then click Monitor, then Client, then Change Filter and choose any WLAN requiring layer 3 authentication on the Anchor controller, there will be a list of all clients currently associated. In the Column with the "Auth" heading it shows the Layer 3 Authentication status of the clients. For example, if there are 15 clients associated to WLAN SSID "Guest", but only 5 of them have opened their web browsers and correctly logged in, then this will be correctly displayed. The 5 who have logged in will show "Yes" and the other 10 will show "No" in the Auth column.
Now...the problem...on the inside controllers...if we do the same thing (monitor, clients, filter for WLAN SSID "Guest"), all 15 will show "Yes" under the Auth column. In most cases the 15 clients will be distributed accross both controllers (maybe 6 on one, and 9 on the other WLC), but both inside controllers will display all clients as having a layer 3 authentication status of "Yes". We have proven over and over that this is not accurate. This is very inconvenient because the "Client Count" reports we run on the WCS server reflect the same information as the "inside" controllers. The WSC reports will show all 15 as Authenticated and they are not. We have proven many times that the anchor WLC is the only controller accuratly conveying this info.
Also, the engineers who helped with our network install have reproduced the same behavior in a lab with an anchor and inside controller directly connected. They suggested it may be a code bug with the 4400 series WLC. We are running controller Software Version 6.0.188.0 on all 3 controllers.
Please let me know what you think may be causing this issue. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

We run version 7.0 on the WCS and WLCs but I thought I'd try the report and see what I got. The result is a line graph with the number of associated and authenticated clients superimposed. I'm not sure how useful a report of this nature is.
It doesn't inspire confidence: when I specifiy the guest wireless SSID I get zero clients! I know there have been guest clients authenticated during the report period I spec'd.

Please tell me how to disable this notification which pops up every few minutes I use the phone..
Its very irritating. It is titled 'Choose your connection' and the option is :"search for wlan".. I have tried all the setting changes but this thing never stops...
