Sounds like your only "backup" is on your itouch. Get a 3rd-party program that will transfer the files, and make sure it supports itouch/iphone.
You can't do it with itunes.

Can not find a library in Aperture after upgrading to Mavericks?
I upgraded my Aperture to 3.5 on Mavericks. Since I have updated my Aperture, I cannot open my second Library "Aperture Library"
This is what it happens:
I can not find my "Aperture Library" photos, and when I try to switch between the library (File>Switch Libaries>"Aperture Library" this comes up:
When I click on relaunch:Then when I click on "Aperture Library" and press chose, a 3 second process occurs and Aperture returns back to where it was when it was opened. The "Aperture Library" doesn't appear anywhere.
When I go to Altinoz (My Mac) > Pictures > Aperture Library:
When I try to open the Aperture Library folder in My Mac > Pictures > Aperture Library
Do you want to import this library to Aperture (which was already in the old verison of Aperture)
An error comes up:
The library could not be imported because it is from an out of date version of Aperture 3. Please upgrade the library to the latest version of Aperture 3 and try again.
I would really appreciate your help on helping me find "Aperture Library" Photos I have, since the upgrading to Mavericks really made annoying problems to me.It seems to me that you need Aperture 3.2.4 to open your library.
If you have it then do the following:
Uninstall Aperture 3.5
Install Aperture 3.2.4
Start Aperture and verify that you can access your library
Update to Aperture 3.4.5
Start Aperture and verify that you can access your library
At the end update to Aperture 3.5 and upgrade your library
If you don't have the older versions, maybe try to open the library in iPhoto. Does that work? -
Please Help Me Find My Lost Library!
I have iPhoto 2 but I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an iBook G4 and I have had a lot of trouble with the libraries when they get full. I try to follow directions in Help but they don't make sense. At least today, I backed up my most recent library on a CD and at least have that because I have already lost the original. There are all of these folders with albums and different years but I am unable to pull up previous libraries. I can't believe there isn't an easier way to go back and forth between libraries. I have dragged a bunch of things to the trash that had nothing in them when I opened them but have not trashed them yet. I can't believe this has to be this difficult. I guess I tampered too much. Please can someone help me? Noel
iBook Mac OS X (10.3.5) Only have iPhoto 2 because I have dialup and takes too long to upgradeHi, thank you for your response. I will try your suggestion. I had two libraries. The one I just lost had 293 photos in it and I followed the instructions in the iPhoto help viewer, moving the library to another location and creating a new one. I tried to get it back and couldn't find it. At least I had burned it on a CD. The things I have in my Trash are things like Archive, Photo Library 2,3 and 4. I never had that many. Also there were 2 library folders that had 5 items in each and they were identical but whenever I go into a folder and click on an icon, it just brings up more pictures of folders with numbers on them. Maybe I need to find a Dummies book on iPhoto. I've had Macs for years but never had as much trouble as I've had with my laptopand iPhoto. The directions in the Help Viewer just don't make sense. I will get back to you after trying your suggestion. I have tried to bring back other libraries listed under Pictures in Finder but I get messages saying I need to create an application to open them. I usually don't have this much trouble but this has me stumped. Thank you, Noel

Help!!! I installed the 10.5 update and now itunes can't find my library or recognize my devices. Running on Windows 7.
For moving your iTunes library, I recommend this method...
Assuming you use the iTunes default settings where iTunes copied added items to your iTunes folder and organizes your library (meaning - everything is all self contained in the iTunes folder), then all you have to do is drag & drop your iTunes folder (not just the iTunes Music folder you find inside the iTunes folder) to the external drive and copy the entire thing.
If you want to test that it worked or would like to actually start using it from that location instead, use these instructions when you start iTunes to point it to the new location...
How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304447
If you are just testing, then close iTunes after you verify it works, and restart iTunes again with the same instructions and point it back to your internal drive (original) location.
Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

Can anyone help me find my old library now that I appear to have deleted it or overwritten it accidentally? I'm always asked if I want to update when I put in my i-pod and have to do that before I can open my library so I think it was this action that caused me to delete previous library. Can anyone help? Apple support have been hopeless as they don't seem to respond to this particular problem but keep giving me answers to finding my purchases which i already know how to do!
See your other thread...

Help. My ITunes library content vanished. Cannot find files anywhere .
Help. My ITunes library content has vanished. Cannot find files anywhere . Still accessing store via my phone and all my purchases are there etc but on my laptop the library is empty.. I have AVG and have put Itunes as exception as read that might be an issue. Im really not sure what to do .
Hi sooz180,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand you can see all of your purchased music on your iPhone but the library on your computer in iTunes is empty. If the music was purchased from iTunes you can get this music back to your iTunes Library two different ways. You can either transfer purchases from the iPhone to the iTunes Library, or you can just download the music again from the Purchased section of iTunes. I will post the information on both ways to recover your purchased music below.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer

I hope this helps,

Help me find out the error in my first hello application
Hello every body !!!!
I am new to JEE.I am competent on JDK and also have worked on Tomcat JSP,servlet.
But i am having problem running my first JEE programme.
I have Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 with NetBeans 6 on WinXP.
I have used NetBeans 6 hence those comments are there.
Below are the code i have used:
In the hello-ejb module i have following Bean and remote interfaces==>>>
package hello;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
@Stateless
public class HelloBean implements HelloRemote {
private String name="Yoodleyee";
public String sayHello() {
//return null;
return "My Name is "+name;
// Add business logic below. (Right-click in editor and choose
// "EJB Methods > Add Business Method" or "Web Service > Add Operation")
package hello;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
@Remote
public interface HelloRemote {
public String sayHello();
In the Hello-app-client module i have main()==>>
package hello;
import javax.ejb.EJB;
public class Main {
@EJB
private static HelloRemote helloBean;
* @param args the command line arguments
public static void main(String[] args) {
// TODO code application logic here
System.out.println("Hi "+helloBean.sayHello());
since this program does not require deployment descriptor and also NetBean creates its own deployment discriptor hence i have not written any.
While the BUILD is successfull.But when Run this application I get deployment error.I am pasting the error stack below:

Remote can't find iTunes library
I am running iTunes 10.5.1 on windows xp3 with a netcomm nb9wmaxxn. I have a wired LAN as well as using the wireless.
I have remote 2.2.
I have 2 computers connected to the LAN. Neither can connect to my iPhone using home sharing, but when I try to connect the other way iTunes finds my device and asks for a passcode. This it accepts and tells me I can use it but my iPhone cannot find the library.
Despite this I know my iPhone can connect to iTunes as it updates app purchases OTA.
The other confusing issue is that my third computer is a small net book and connects to network via WAN. This computer can connect to Remote on my iPhone no problem n
I am at a loss now. I have been through as many posts as I can and have tried most suggestions relating to firewalls etc but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas anyone?I am having the same problem with multiple routers and can't help thinking that something has either been changed universally in the firmware of all contemporary routers (except perhaps apple routers?), or Apple has screwed something up in the Remote App / iOS.
My experience:
1. 2008 vintage DLink DIR-655 router (with old firmware)... works perfectly. Unfortunately this router's internet connection has failed, so I am trying to replace it. I can only use it as a LAN router.
2. I purchase both DLink DIR-825 and a new DIR-655 (with new firmware)... with both of these routers my iPhone can wirelessly access the internet, but not the LAN. Remote doesn't work.
3. I learn that some of my other devices also have problems with LAN access. computers and laptops are ok, but my smart TV, andriod tablet, iphone don't work.
4. Using my airport express as wireless access point fixes the LAN access issue for these devices BUT remote app still doesn't work. I see the same behaviour you have described.
5. I get a new CISCO wireless modem from my ISP... the WAN and LAN seem to work, but remote app still doesn't work. Same "Can't find" behaviour after entering the 4 digit code.
I will try to call Apple tech support in the next week or so when I have time! -
I need help organizing my Loop Library
I've been researching this online but just cannot find the answer.
I have GB11' (ver 6.0.4) operating on OS X Lion (ver 10.7.2).
I've learned how to add custom loops by using drag-and-drop and Apple Loop Utility
But I am still having troubles so I'd like to ask a few questions
How do I add an entire folder of loops?
I've tried drag-and-drop, GB seems to respond to it and would begin to load data, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere in the library.
I could, however, add them individually and it works without a problem.
I've tried Loop Utility too, but after saving the files it still would not appear in my GB library.
(the files are in correct format .WAV and .AIFF)
Where are the physical files of the custom loops located?
So GB won't let me add an entire folder of loops, fine. I've managed to add a few individually, BUT! Where are the physical files?
One discussion I found from here said that different versions of GB save the files in different locations.
According to the article, I should be able to find them in /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/User Loops
But on my Mac there is no "User Loops" folder. (They are not in "/Apple Loops for GB" either.)
The bizzare thing is, these loops still work in GB!!!
The reason I'm asking this is because I'd like to get rid of some undesired loops I added while testing.
Also, I want to rename them so I can easily locate them.
But this seem impossible because I cannot find the actual files..
So the last question is
How do I delete or rename the loops?
If I can't rename it, at least let me delete it so I can reupload!!!
The "Loop Index" does not contain any information about the loops I added either.
Any help will be appreciated!!
Thank you for your time!!allstreetball625 wrote: How do I add an entire folder of loops?

dropping the folder onto the browser pane _is_ indeed how you add loops. perhaps it's a setting in your project:

i don't believe you can from within GB, you'd have to drop the renamed file onto the loop browser to index it

there is usually more than 1 index file (not sll stored in the same place). see the reindexing entry for help in finding them:

Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory
Hi all,
I'm trying to write a jvmti agent that write any information in a mysql db. I've written a simple agent that work correctly and now I'll try to insert the mysqlpp library in my agent:
1) I've added #include <mysql++.h>
2) and I've added mysqlpp::Connection conn(false); (global variable)
I've modify my Makefile and the compiler and linker work correctly but when I test the agent the VM says "Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory"
Below the code:

It will not load otherwise, and you must specify -agentlib:x (rather than saying libx.so). Yes, it is "funny" how it gives the same uninformative error message for a wide variety of errors. It will also give you this same error message if there are still unresolved symbols upon loading your library (which would be my second guess).

New install of iTunes can't find old library
Hello, iTunes experts. I'd greatly appreciate your help.
I put a new hard drive in my computer and did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro and iTunes. My iTunes library has only a few tunes I've purchased, and the rest have been imported from .wav files elsewhere in my computer. Apparently those songs are not actually in iTunes, but just a pointer in the .xml index file.
I would like to connect my old library up to the new instance of iTunes without re-importing everything and re-purchasing what I've bought in the past.
I've followed all the instructions I could find on the web (copy the iTunes Music folder from the old hard drive to the new, change the location in Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced tab, do a Consolidate Library, etc.), but I can't seem to make the new instance of iTunes find the library, either in the new location or even the old one. But I am able to re-import songs successfully, although when I try to play them I get a message that this computer is not authorized to play them.
I'm pretty computer-savvy; this shouldn't be this hard. What trick(s) am I missing?
Windows XP Pro, iTunes 7.6.2.9, The old hard drive is still in the computer as a secondary drive and the old installation of iTunes on it still works (for now).
Thanks very much,
TedThese sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
Hard drive packed up, but had Time Machine backup. I installed new ssd and upgraded to Mountain Lion, but I can't find iPhoto library and photos or iTunes songs? Is there an answer to this? A backup run did not install either photos or songs. Graham
Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!
Thank you for your help and replying to this. Guess I made my own issue! -
Hello,
I installed WL 6.1 SP4 on Solaris (trial version). The installation went well
and we were able to start the server and run our application. I then added the
debug options in the start script :
$JAVACMD $JAVA_OPTIONS -Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=7212,suspend=n
When I then try to start the server I get the following error :
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find -Xrun library: libjdwp.so
I looked and the library is installed in our sdk :
/products/java/j2sdk1_3_1_07/lib/sparc/libsjwp.so
What did we do wrong?
Thanks for your help,
RolandHi Wayne,
I took the instructions from our WL 5.1 installation. I hope the options are still
the same (if not can you tell me where to find the correct ones?).
You were right about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I added the line :
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$JAVA_HOME/lib/sparc:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
and now I can start the application without any errors.
Thanks!

Since libsjwp.so is a shared object, what does your LD_LIBRARY_PATH look
like?
Is /products/java/j2sdk1_3_1_07/lib/sparc in it?

When i click on help in finder (all topics) I get no response, any suggestions?
Move these three plist files from /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, OPTION-click & hold the Finder's Dock icon, and select Relaunch. Now check Help. If it now works, delete the moved files.
