  • Has anyone been able to get a Canon LBP6000 to work in Lion?

    Any help with getting my Canon LBP6000 to work would be greatly appreciated.

    There's a new driver on the USA website:
    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/laser_pri nters/imageclass_lbp6000#DriversAndSoftware
    Before installing you will need to trash the CAPT folder, located in HD > Library > Printers > Canon. And perhaps restart.

  • Need help in getting proposed approvers for a work item

    Hi All,
        We are trying to get the proposed approvers and the actual approver details for a particular work item.
    Before the work item is actioned we are able to see all the proposed agents for that particular work item.
    But once that work item is actioned then only the agen who has actioned on the work item is appearing in the list. All other agents are not appearing.
    For this we are using the FM BBP_WFL_DIN_APPR_WORKFLOW_GET.
    We have also tried some other FM's and tables, but none of them were helpfull.
    Please let us know if you know any table or FM or class which we can use to get these details.
    Scenario:
    Work Item: 12345
    Before action on the work item
    Possible(Proposed) agents: Agent 1, Agent 2, Agent 3.
    Actual Agent: blank
    What we want, after action on the work item if "Agent 2" acts on that item.
    Possible(Proposed) agents: Agent 1, Agent 2, Agent 3.
    Actual Agent: Agent 2
    But what we are get is:
    Possible(Proposed) agents: Agent 2.
    Actual Agent: Agent 2
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Kranthi.

    Hi,
    What did you draw those lines with ???? Just a drawLine() command ????
    If so, it is very difficult to track the exact mouse coordinates that correspond to a click at a particular place and then place an 'X' or an 'O' there !!!!
    Try implementing it with 9 Buttons placed at those specific positions. In this case, it will be very simple to track the user's input when he clicks on any of those buttons...the implementation will become really simpler.
    Check it out !

  • Need help in getting common DOM API to work

    Grettings, all -
    I'm up against the wall. I have spend a lot of time trying to get Common DOM API to work to no avial. So far I tried it with Netscape 6.2.3, Mozilla 1.0 and MSIE 6. My problem is that while I get non-null Document, all calls on it return null. Here is the code snippet I have:
    public class Foo extends Applet {
    Applet m_appletThis;
    StringBuffer m_sbuf;
    public void init() {
    m_appletThis = this;
    m_sbuf = new StringBuffer();
    addItem("initializing... ");
    try {
    JSObject jsWin = JSObject.getWindow(this);
    JSObject jsDoc = (JSObject)jsWin.getMember("document");
    String sName = (String)jsDoc.getMember("name");
    Object oLocation = (JSObject)jsDoc.getMember("location");
    addItem("location=" + oLocation);
    String sTitle = (String)jsDoc.getMember("title");
    addItem("title=" + sTitle);
    addItem("initialized! ");
    catch (JSException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    public void start() {
    addItem("starting... ");
    DOMService ds = null;
    try {
    ds = DOMService.getService(this);
    String sTitle = (String)ds.invokeAndWait(new DOMAction() {
    public Object run(DOMAccessor da) {
    Document doc = da.getDocument(m_appletThis);
    return doc.getNodeValue();
    addItem(sTitle);
    // let's try again
    Document doc = (Document)ds.invokeAndWait(new DOMAction() {
    public Object run(DOMAccessor da) {
    Document doc;
    NamedNodeMap nnm;
    Node node;
    doc = (Document)da.getDocument(m_appletThis);
    nnm = doc.getAttributes();
    NodeList nl = doc.getChildNodes();
    if (null == nl)
    addItem("no children!");
    else
    for (int i = 0; i < nl.getLength(); i++) {
    node = nl.item(i);
    addItem((null == node) ?
    ("no node" + i) : node.getNodeName());
    if (null == nnm)
    addItem("no attribs!");
    else {
    node = nnm.getNamedItem("location");
    if (null == node)
    addItem("no node!");
    else
    addItem(node.getNodeValue());
    return doc;
    catch (DOMUnsupportedException e1) {
    e1.printStackTrace();
    catch (DOMAccessException e2) {
    e2.printStackTrace();
    addItem("started! ");
    public void stop() {
    addItem("stopping... ");
    public void destroy() {
    addItem("preparing for unloading...");
    void addItem(String newWord) {
    System.out.println(newWord);
    m_sbuf.append(newWord + "\r\n");
    repaint();
    public void paint(Graphics g) {
    Dimension dim = getSize();
    //Draw a Rectangle around the applet's display area.
    g.drawRect(0, 0, dim.width - 1, dim.height - 1);
    //Draw the current string inside the rectangle.
    g.drawString(m_sbuf.toString(), 5, 15);
    This produces the following output:
    initializing...
    location=file:///foo.bar.html
    title=
    initialized!
    starting...
    null
    no children!
    no attribs!
    started!
    As starting/started lines show all of my attempts to get access to browsers DOM fail.
    I will really appreciate any advice you can provide. Thanks in advance.

    hi,
    i desperately tried similar things and, after studying some forum entries, it seems to me that common dom DOES NOT WORK...
    sorry for us, but bugparade promises to fix that in 1.4.2 (somewhen in 2003 :-( )
    if you need dom-access try jsobject or the ibm directDOM-technology, that seems to work much better..

  • How to get epson stylus C45 to work on lion?

    Hello.
    On my old MacBook White I have Snow Leopard running and I use the Guteprint driver to get my Epson Stylus C45 working. Printing works just fine using that driver, I cannot though perform maintenance operations using this driver (such as checking the ink levels, cleaning the printer heads, etc).
    This is fine by me, since when I need to perform those operations I end up booting a windows desktop to do that.
    The problem is with my new MacBook Pro that runs Lion. The only epson printer options I find when looking for a driver are very general purpose and none work for my printer (e.g. Epson Stylus Color Series).
    Googling for solution showed that there is a huge pack of epson drivers provided by Apple called EPSONPrinterDrivers2.8.dmg, which I'm downloading at this moment. Although I'll to give that a try, I already know that there is no specific support for C45 on this package. I'll try to use other models drivers that used to work on linux setups I had in the past.
    In any case I have two questions:
    Where can I find the Guteprint drivers I use on Snow Leopard so that I can use on Lion, if that is even possible?
    Is there another workaround to get C45 working on Lion

    The Epson printer drivers 2.8 do not contain a driver for the Epson Stylus C45.
    The Gutenprint drivers are available at http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php.  They still work find in Lion.  There is a folder on the disk image that provides many access of the maintainence functions for Epson printers.  Just drag the folder Gutenprint Utility for EPSON Inkjet Printers to your hard drive for future use.  With this utility, you can run a nozzle check, clean the print heads, and align the print heads.  Unfortunately you will not be able to check ink levels.

  • Help ! Getting a G4 AGP to work with OSX

    I have inherited a G4 AGP (400) which I want to setup as a network server. The HDD had been blanked so I needed to reinstall OS. I could not get OSX (10.4) to load, so loaded the barely remembered 9.22.
    I then tried to run the firmware upgrade - not successfully. I have rebooted, zapped the pram, reset-nvram, reset-all (in macboot) all without success. I have checked the ram (and removed dodgy ram), battery seems fine
    I have cloned (using super duper) the osx drive from my ibook and swapped that as the HDD and that will not load.
    How do I overcome a firmware upgrade in os9.22 which will not run ?
    How do I create a bootable OSX drive to put in the G4.
    I have an original (retail) DVD for 10.4, software restore disks for a G3 imac (9.21), a variety of external drives and both super duper and data backup - so should have all the hard and software to get this powermac working - but I am stumped.
    Any experts out there who can help ?

    My reply is concerning the Tiger install. I don't feel that a clone of 10.4 off of an ibook is going to run reliably on a G4. Each machine has different drivers they use. Some, here, say they have done things like this with success, but many others, here, don't recommend it. A fresh install of Tiger would be way better. When you tried installing the retail disk, what happened please? Of course, even if it installed it may not run well, or at all, without a firmware update. I was able to run Jaguar without an update, but had some issues. I don't think Tiger will do well at all.
    Are you able to go to "About This Mac", in Tiger, listed under the blue Apple; when screen comes up, click the "More Info" button and check the Boot ROM version (firmware)? Mine is 4.2.8f1 ; correct for my Gigabit Ethernet model to run OSX. Here is the list of firmware updates. Could yours already have been updated? Maybe the clone is why Tiger doesn't work well?
    Cheers!

  • Can anyone help me get the onboard 5.1 working through optical?

    990FXA-GD80
    Windows 8.1
    Pioneer XV DV55 (connected via optical to motherboard)
    If I go to Control Panel/Sound I have the Realtek Digital Output (Optical) selected and when I go into the properties of that device I can highlight Dolby Digital, hit the test button and I do get the test sound in all of the 5.1 speakers BUT in game (BF4 and BF3) or anywhere else I can't get the surround to work, everything is just 2 channel?

    Quote from: RipGroove on 01-December-13, 23:58:04
    Yep have tried all settings in game, receiver just dosen't seem to pick it up.
    Ok, I had just forgot to check those the other day with my surround headphones, that's why I asked, lol.
    I did some digging around, apparently you are not the only one with this issue. Seems Realtek might sort of be your culprit. I didn't fully get everything I read, but the long and short of it is that DVD/Movies etc are coded 5.1 and simply pass through the optical...while the game's surround need to be generated...and it is, but only through the analog outs...not the digital. Confused yet?
    Quote
    Correct, and this is normal. Movies/DVD's are already encoded in Dolby Digital or DTS formats, which can be carried over SPDIF. Games however, use uncompressed audio, and an uncompressed 5.1 audio signal can NOT be carried over a SPDIF connection, so you get 2.0 instead.
    The only way to solve this problem is to get a soundcard that can handle real-time encoding to either Dolby Digital or DTS. [A cheap option is the ASUS Xonar DX [Dolby Support only] or the HT Omega Striker, both going for about $80 or so]
    ~ gamerk316 at [H] http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/259712-28-realtek-audio-optical-games#.
    Question: Do you have an ATI card? I wonder if you ran your sound out of it via HDMI if that might work? Depends on your receiver really, my receiver takes the audio and video in via HDMI then spits it out to my TV. (That way I can plug multiple devices into it.) If you have an ATI card and a receiver like mine you could probably pull it off, otherwise you will need a better sound card.

  • Need help in getting Shares between two Macs working again

    Hi,
    having upgraded my late 2009 Mini and mid-2010 MacBook to Lion, everything appears to be running just fine thus far – except for one item: Before the upgrade, I had set up both computers to be listed in the Shares section in Finder, so as to allow swapping files back and forth. This does not seem to be working as it did before any longer. I did manage to access the MB from the Mini once earlier today, but haven't been able to make this permanent.
    As the Mini does not support AirDrop (as of yet anyway), this option is no alternative for me, so I'd be very glad if any of you could help me out here.
    Many thanks in advance .

  • How can I get copy and paste to work in Lion?

    Never had any problem using copy and paste function on my old iMac (Snow Leopard OS X).  Just bought a new iMac with Lion. Now, the copy and paste function won't work.
    Tried to copy and paste a web link into a Mail message unsuccessfully (tried select text, command C, then command V- no luck. Then tried select text, menu bar Edit- Copy, then Edit-Paste- No luck. Last, tried right-click menu,Copy, then right-click Paste- no luck). Also, selected some text in an email message and tried to copy and paste it elsewhere in the same email message- no luck. Opened TextEdit and used all the above techniques and could not copy and paste into TextEdit. Also could not use copy and paste to work in Safari when I tried it when working in a gmail message.
    This is extremely frustrating. I searched but could not find a fix that addressed this precise issue.
    Please help. When suggesting fixes, please recognize that I'm an intermediate user- not a beginner, but also not an advanced techie.
    Thanks much.

    Something seems to be interfering with those functions.
    Two troubleshooting steps to try.
    First, boot into Safe Mode and see if it still occurs. If it doesn't, then there is some third-party program interfering.
    To boot into Safe Mode, hold down the shift key on restart when you hear the tone. Hold until the gray screen. It does take longer to boot as it runs some checks. It will also boot to the login screen regardless of your login settings.
    Second, try a new user account. If it works there, it is isolated to your particular account and not the whole system.

  • How would i get in contact with someone working on Lion?

    I would like to get in contact with someone who has some say so in whats going on with Lion.
    This might sound like an ignorant question -.- not very important,but i would like to send them a photo to be used as a black and white wallpaper.
    It is of a statue of a lion. Seeing that they have a black & white section of wallpapers. i feel 100% confident that this will go very well with that release.
    I am using it as my wallpaper now. Absolutley stunning. Any help guys?

    There isn't an email address for such a purpose. And Apple could not accept unsolicited content such as a photo in any case. If you know the photographer or image house that owns the copyright to the photo, you can suggest its use to Apple via their feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
    and include the information for them to find and obtain the photo.
