Help to install Windows 8 for model CX640DX

Hi
Why Windows 8 will not install on the model (cx640dx)?
This model is a new model, but because the company does not resolve this problem?
Please solve this problem for 8 months I bought this notebook supports the company is not really so bad.
Please respect the authorities to deal with and I thank you for your answer.

Like Svet linked you CX640DX is not verified for Win 8 upgrade. In fact it is not eligible for Windows 8. Therefor MSI will not  provide any support or drivers for Win 8 and this model.
Can not install the whole Windows 8?
This is a fundamental problem in this model, this model is one of the new models.
My brother has a 2006 model Notebook Sony was easy to install, but MSI it will fail.

can i install windows 7 for 13" macbook pro ? I got that in august 2012.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You can install Windows 7 on your computer without any problem. First, determine if you need Boot Camp or a virtual machine > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3321
If you need Boot Camp, get a Windows 7 retail DVD, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to install Windows. If you want all the steps to install it, you can print this PDF file > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf. Windows 8 support will come with a OS X update.
If you need a virtual machine, you can use Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox. All of them are paid except VirtualBox, and they work well with Windows

  • Help me install windows 7 on my imac!

    HI!

Im trying to get windows 7 on my mac but every time i load in on to boot camp and it re boots itself to go and start installing windows. it goes to a black screen which says "no bootable device. Insert disk and press any key" to which i have to turn my mac off and reboot it so i can get back on
As far as im aware im doing everything correctly. I have a usb with all the required stuff which bootcamp downloads for you with the option, i have a windows 7 disc (original) it just does not want to work for me! i am using an external disc drive because the one on my mac is broke but i cant see that being the issue as its reading the disc fine up until it tries to download windows and goes to the black screen of death!
    PLEASE HELP!

The USB should be 2.0 not a 3.0 disk.

The Windows installer has not built-in support for external Optical drives, even if OS X can see it. This is the reason for the error message.
What year/model is your Mac? (Just verifying despite your signature. ).

  • Help -- cannot install Windows on my new Macbook Pro

I have a new 2010 Macbook Pro with an Intel SSD inside, and where the DVD drive is I have a 500 GB hard drive with the MCE Optibay, which I used with no issues for 1 1/2 years in my last laptop. I have everything set up nicely however I find I am unable to boot any Windows disk when I go to install boot camp. I set up the 2nd partition, then go to do the installation using an external DVD drive that I've used before with no issues. The disc is sesned and everything seems like it will work but instead of booting the Windows installer disc I get a "No" Mark (like Ghostbusters without the ghost) and it stops booting. I've tried Vista (two different discs) and 7 and nothing will boot.
Can anyone tell me how I can go about installing Windows on my 2nd disc. The disc itself is fine. Boot Camp sees it and says which disc would I like to make a Windows partition on, and all seems fine -- but the OS just won't boot off the Windows disc no matter what. Have tried 2 different external USB drives and it's frustrating.
    Hope someone can help!

The problem you are experiencing probably isn't unique to your particular MBP. It took me two months to get Win7 (32 bit) installed and working on my MBP (early 2010 15.6" screen). I gave up on trying to get the 64 bit version to work. As far as I am concerned getting Win 7 to play on a Mac Book Pro is a crap shoot. You really have to be lucky, good has nothing to do with it. Maybe in another 6 months things will have progressed to the point that the installation is actually a no brainer. Sorry I can't be more supportive of your efforts.
I don't have a clue as to why the 32 bit version installed (not without problems I might add), and I could never get the 64 bit version to play. I used the retail version of Win 7 Ultimate which came with both 32 and 64 bit DVD's.

For windows, first step ensure the services got created.
Start/Run/services.msc and click on the Standard tab (for slightly less clutter).
There should be 4 or 5 oracle entries, only two matter. The database instance service, ...ServiceXE and the listener ...TNSListener the others are not relevant for an XE install.
If the user that ran the installer program is not in the local administrators group, as stated in the install requirements documentation, more than likely the services did not get set up and the database won't exist.
If the services are there, try connecting and check the instance status. In a command box (Start/Run/cmd):
    sqlplus /nolog
    connect system
Password: <the system password entered in installer dialog ... >
    ... Connected.
    select status from v$instance;
    ... OPEN ...
If you get that far, might be something not quite right with the networking configuration, several things can prevent the Apex web pages (http://...:8080...) from working.
As far as your configuration files, the client (tnsnames.ora) has a different value for the host than your listener.ora. So one, or both, of those could be incorrect. Check the command box hostname output, ipconfig /all, a few things might need adjustment.
The tnsnames.ora only matters for making sqlnet connections via a tnsalias. The tnsalias could be anywhere, including on your local hostname. To use a tnsalias, add it to the a connect after the '@' symbol, i.e. connect system@xe to get a connection to your XE specified in the tnsnames.ora file.
If you want to change the listener configuration, the first thing to do is stop the listener, then make adjustments in the listener.ora, start the listener, and sqlplus ... connect system .... alter system register; to get the instance registered with the listener.

  • Help, I installed Windows Server 2008

Please advise me on what to do. I installed Windows Server 2008 on my laptop for networking class. This past summer I had upgraded it from Windows Vista to Windows 8 then 8.1. I want to take Windows Server 2008 off, but I cannot seem to get my windows
8 to work. When the computer is in command screen mode I have to option to start in Windows Server 2008, or Windows 8. But Windows 8 will not come up, I get an error stating a file is missing. I cannot seem to connect to the internet IN Windows Server 2008
    either . Help!!!!

Okay this is what you need for a basic setup.
    Servers:
1 main host server - install Hyper-V role on this
    2. 1 guest server to act as a domain controller - also install remote desktop licensing role on this server
    3. 1 remote desktop session host server that you install your applications on
join the remote desktop server to the domain
leave your hyper-v host server off the domain in a workgroup
install applications on remote desktop session host server
install remote desktop licences on the license server - role that you have installed on your domain controller
configure any settings - including the licence server to use - on the remote desktop session host
users connect to remote desktop server using RDP client on their computers
NB: this is the minimum setup you could use

  • How to install Window service for Managed Servers of a Cluster

    Dear All,
I am preparing a production setup consist of three machines A,B and C. Machines A is the Admin Server which hosts a cluster consist of two managed nodes. I intend to schedule both these nodes, targeted to two different machines (machines B node-b and machine C host node-c), as startup task on daily basis. I have no Node Manager running on machine A, but on machine B and machine C.
I am only interested to schedule started task for node-b and node-c only. I need to know how to install the Windows services for the node-b and node-c since there are targeted on remote machines. Starting managed server as Win sevice works in the case of standalone managed servers but not sure when it comes to cluster setup.I appreciate if you can throw some light on this question.
              Thanks
              Kris

    Krish,
              >Let say I gracefully shutdown both managed servers while >Admin is running. Do you think both these nodes while be >brought up ? I dont think they will come up.
If you require an automatic restart when the managed server did not enter a failed state you can use the weblogic.Admin utility to ping the servers and kick off a server startup in the normal way with nodemanger see:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/admin_ref/cli.html
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/adminguide/confignodemgr.html
If your servers entered a failed state you can use weblogics self health monitoring.
              >Can we use JMX MBean to start managed servers ?
              Yes.
As long as the nodemanagers are running you can start the managed servers using scripted commands using the weblogic.Admin class or your own java app using JMX.
I think you may also be able to use WLST
              http://dev.bea.com/codelibrary/code/wlst.jsp
              hope this helps

  • Help me install Windows via bootcamp

    Hello all!
I have run into the typical Bootcam problems on my macbook pro when trying to install W7.
    Symptoms:
1)Bootcamp can't install the updates for my mac. Okay, whatever, can be bypassed.
Chose "I have the updates" and tried to partition my drive.
During the process, I get a:
2)"some files could not be moved" message.
Now, I know there are solutions for this, like:
    1)checkdisk and repair utility - didn't work.
1a)try to format to a small partition - selected the minimum possible, it didn't work.
2)Third party partition software - No, sorry. Don't want to pay to fix a feature that should be working anyway.
3)Reinstall Macosx - won't do it. Too much time and hassle. Just no.
4)Look for the messages that bootcamp generates in the "messages.app" and remove the problematic files. This looks like the best shot, but the strange thing is that Bootcamp doesn't generate error messages that would help me identify the files that can't be moved.
5)Delete parallels and all associated files - done, didn't help.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Machine: macbook pro 2009 (non unibody), OSX 10.6.8, 4 gigs of ram.

    And it's failing at that.
Since you have enough room, the only reason something like that should fail would be a locked file or folder sitting in the area it wants to allocate to the Windows partition.
If you have an external drive, you can use SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate your drive to an empty drive/partition on the external. Make sure it's empty, as either will erase what's already there to make the target drive an exact duplicate of the source drive.
Then boot to the cloned external drive, erase the main drive and clone it back. Everything will then be contiguous and you should have no problem creating a Windows partition with Boot Camp.

    Why installing IIS o_O?
For Installing a developer Machine just install Oracle Developer suite; for testing your forms you use OC4J ("start OC4J instance" in start menu), and you can run your forms in web; no need for a aditional webserver (don't believe there's an OC4J connector for IIS available; and if so I wouldn't use it either ;-))
For Installing a server for "productional" use install Oracle Application Server (available on otn) which comes with an Apache as webserver and all the other needful things for runnung forms on the web.

  • Help with installing Windows 95 on Windows 7 64 bit Home Virtual PC

I apologize in advance.  I am new to using Virtual PC and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.  I am trying to create a virtual Windows 95 on my Windows 7 Home 64b computer in Virtual PC.  I have the original W95 cd, and I was able to
    create a Win95 boot disk.
What I've done so far is:
Create a Virtual drive in VPC.
Attempt to install W95 using the cd.  The virtual system didn't install it.
Created a W95 boot disk using a USB floppy drive.  The virtual system doesn't seem to access the USB floppy.
Tried to enter the BIOS menu in the virtual drive and set the floppy as the initial boot drive.  The system doesn't access the floppy.
Please let me know if you need any more info to answer this question.  Thanks!
    RK

virtual machines won't detect usb floppy drives
(you might also run into issues trying to install win95 on a 64 bit system not sure though)
what you need to do is create a floppy image first
Also use VMWARE player for win95.. virtual pc doesn't work well for it in windows 7
so if you want to create a floppy image
    first download magiciso (it's free)
    go to new - floppy - 1.44
copy the files from the usb floppy onto the newly created image
    save it
now go to the image in your browser and change the extension from .ima to .flp (for VMWARE) or .img (for virtual pc)
now you can mount the floppy image instead of using the drive all together :)
here's an alternative method for installing windows 95 on a virtual machine as well
installing windows 95 and CD driver manually without the floppy setup disk
    what you need:
.DOS on a floppy or on an image (.flp .img)
    .Windows 95 cd
.VMWARE player (it's free) or virtualpc (I recommend VMWARE)
.Magiciso (the free trial version will do)
.a copy of MSCDEX.EXE and oakcdrom.sys (both can be found online)
    step 1
create a new virtual machine (make sure to add a floppy image drive if you are using vmware)
    step 2
put your dos floppy/image in or mount it and install dos
    step 3
download and install the free version of magiciso
    open magic iso
    go to new - floppy - 1.44
    find a copy of mscdex.exe
find a copy of oakcdrom.sys (generic cd rom driver that works with dos.. might have to try another if it doesn't work)
    RENAME the oakcdrom.sys to cdrom.sys
drag both these files into magic iso on the floppy disk we just created
    save the file
    close magic iso
find the file we just saved in your explorer
change the extension from .ima to .flp (if you are using vmware) or .img (if you are using virtualpc)
(if you can't see the extensions you're going to need to change your folder options to show extensions)
google it. it's easy to do
    step 4
go back to your virtual machine
mount the floppy image we just created
    a:\
    copy mscdex.exe c:\
    copy cdrom.sys c:\
(don't forget to rename oakcdrom.sys to cdrom.sys in step 3)
    step 5
find config.sys in your c drive
    type:
    edit config.sys
now add a line that says this
    device=c:\cdrom.sys /d:mscd001
    exit and save
    step 6
find autoexec.bat in your c drive
    type:
    edit autoexec.bat
now add a line that says this
    c:\mscdex.exe /d:mscd001
    exit and save
    step 7
restart the computer or virtual machine
    step 8
    we're still not done yet
now move to your c drive and type
    mscdex.exe: /d:mscd001 /M:5 /V /L:d /S /K
(this part /M:x refers to the amount of buffers your drive has.. it's either 4 or 5. usually 5)
    step 9
create a blank floppy image either in vmware or magic iso then mount that new one
put your windows 95 cd in the cd drive
    type:
    d:\
    setup.exe
    step 10
it should be booting windows 95 now
now you might run into troubles when it tries to install the other drivers
it might ask you for windows floppies even if you're using the cd version
    which I never understood
but anyways, you can find all of these drivers on the windows 95b cd if you have it
    they're all in cab files
so you'd need to extract them 1 by 1 and put them on floppy images to use them.
    (huge pain)
but I actually just got it to load the drivers off the win95 cd by just trying it over and over again until
it worked. it might have been because I either did or didn't restart after putting in the windows 95 cd
can't remember, but I'd try both if you're having trouble
all in all windows 95 is incredible wonky to install in a virtual machine. I highly recommend using VMWARE
and not virtual pc for this one.
If you didn't have a hard time installing this.. you got incredible lucky
make sure you check to make sure windows95 is seeing your cd drive
if not go to the add new hardware wizard in the control panel and see if that detects it
