Help to reinstall indesign 6

I had a major error code and could not get the app to lauch (indesign cs6, not indesign CC). I deleted all of the files pertaining to this app, including the application istelf.  I cannot reinstall the app now as the cloud says I already downloaded and installed. Can anyone help please? Deadlines looming.

    I recently installed Creative cloud in order to try out Indesign etc. Unfortunately my start-up disk got full, so I deleted them all. I then went to reinstall them, after telling the creative cloud to use a different file location - on an external harddisk. I successfully downloaded and installed Photoshop and Illustrator. However, when I tried to reinstall Indesign, the Creative cloud seems to think it is still on my Mac - which it certainly is not! The only active button neaar Indesign is "tutorials".  So now I do not have the programme, and I cannot find a way to reinstall it.
    HELP! I really need the programme for a course I'm taking.

  • I reinstalled InDesign 6 and it keeps closing as soon as I open it

    I reinstalled Indesign CS6 on my reformatted computer. At first it asked me to register the product. I said Not now because it is already registered.
    It wouldn't allow me to use it and just closed.
    I can't get into the program because it closes right after opening.
    According to my personal page it says the product is already registered.
    Please help.

  • Uninstall/Reinstall InDesign

    I recieved an error message when I tried to launch InDesign. "Error 16"
    It instructed me to unistall, then reinstall InDesign to see if that fixed it.
    I uninstalled InDesign, but my creative cloud says "you installed InDesign 11 days ago" and now there is no option to re-install it. Even though the application is no longer on my computer, the Creative Cloud thinks it is. What can I do? I have work to get done!

    This happened to me for Acrobat XI a few days ago so I'm taking you through the steps I used.

    You want to rename the OMP.dbd file  in the OOBE. This is a database of your installed apps. Apparently it has become corrupted. Try the steps outlined there.

    Hi!
    Is it possible to reinstall Indesign CC even after the Indesig CC 2014 update?
    I went a little too fast and uninstalled Indesign CC as soon as the 2014 version was released, which the rest of my office did not and now we have compatibility problems between our versions. Therefore, I'd like to reinstall the "old" version instead. Is that possible in any way?

    I am trying to take about 30 pictures and create one big PDF booklet with captions on the pictures. My problem is, when I "place" these pictures in InDesign, the pictures show up like thumbnail size, these pics are all 712 x 1072, I have no clue why it shows up so small. How can I fix this? Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

    When this happened to me some time ago, I had no clue why it seemed to start suddenly. I still don't. However, the what is most likely that the default size or magnification for a placed graphic has been set to whatever you're seeing. I don't think I did this inadvertently, but I'm sure I didn't do it intentionally.
    I think replacing the preferences got rid of the problem without making me smarter about how to avoid it happening suddenly again.
    To replace preferences, quit InDesign, and before restarting, place the fingers of one hand lightly on the Command+Option+Shift+Control keys (on Macintosh) or Ctrl+Alt+Shift (on Windows), and as soon as you double click the InDesign icon with your other hand, to launch it, press all the keys and hold them down until you see an alert asking if you want to replace your preferences.
    If you have many carefully set preferences, you may want to search for information on how to save your preferences files, rather than destroy them this way. If replacing doesn't fix the problem, you can restore the preference files and restart, then perhaps consider reinstalling InDesign.

    A few months ago i used the trial version of Creative Cloud, after that i deleted the programs. Now i have a subscription to the Cloud and I need to reinstall Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator again but i can't find a download button. I see the programs in my Apps but I can't open them.

  • After last update itunes wouldn't open on my laptop (windows 7).  i uninstalled it but now it won't re-install but just takes me to 'thank you' page - help to reinstall please...

    Recently i updated my the itunes but after doing so although it would open on my computer for a bit, it wouldn't recognise it  - ie, syncing phone or I could open the program but when trying to redeem a gift voucher it didn't recognise the program on my PC and suggested i install it!.  Today it wouldn't open at all so I tried to  uninstalled it so i could reinstall it from scratch but now it won't re-install but just takes me to 'thank you' page.

    Your original OS X version was 10.5.6. You need to do one of two things:
    Contact Apple and order replacement DVDs for your model, if they have them available.
    Purchase the Snow Leopard DVD so you can install it on the computer.

    For the Snow Leopard DVD:
    You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
    After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
    Once  you receive the required discs you will need to prepare the new hard drive then install OS X:
    Clean Install of Snow Leopard
         1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard or Tiger Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
             with your computer.  Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
             After the chime press and hold down the  "C" key.  Release the key when you see
             a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
         2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
             button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
             After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
             size.)  Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.  Set the number of
             partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
             and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
             (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
         3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed
             with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
         4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
             Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
             username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
             Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
             install of OS X.  You can now begin the update process by opening Software
             Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.
    For Snow Leopard or Tiger you should open Software Update in order to install any additional required updates.

    you can install the upgrade without installing the previous version. 
    you will be prompted for both serial number.  be sure to use them in the correct order.

    I thought it was me. I couldn't get that AIR app to ever finish updating.  I was hoping it would install .chm style interactive help... but now... thanks, I know not to worry.  It's a bad joke. 
    Someone should tell Adobe that just because they make AIR and Acrobat doesn't mean they're the ideal formats for help files.
    Partially related question, is there such a thing as a good AIR app?
