Help to upgrade broken iphone
I am very upset with Verizon. I have been with Verizon wireless for 7 years or so and have 5 smart phones and 2 tablets on my account. My Grandson recently dropped by iphone 4s and put a crack in the screen. I thought I would just upgrade to iphone 5 s and was told that I do not qualify for a upgrade or the new edge plan. I have paid Verizon thousands of dollars over the years and have been a loyal costumer over the years. I am going to be changing my service to another carrier. It may take a while but it is evident that Verizon does not value their customers and have so many customers that they do not need to retain their customer base. What can Verizon do for me?

My daughter's iPhone worked fine with a cracked screen for several months before she became eligible for an upgrade.
If you are not eligible for an upgrade to replace the 4s, your options are:
Continue to use the phone with with the cracked screen, unless it is non-functional. But I've seen some majorly cracked screens and the phones continue to function just fine. Wait until that line or another line on your plan ias able to upgrade.
Use/activate a spare phone that you or a friend may have (we keep several older, basic phones just for this purpose and we now have a few older smartphones too) until you can upgrade
If you have insurance, use that to replace the iPhone
Look on eBay, swappa, or other private party sites for a replacement to get you through if the phone is absolutely unusable
If you do not have insurance (I don't carry it on our phones - I'll save my $$ and deal with a lost or damaged phone as needed) and I don't expect Verizon to "do" anything if one of the phones on my account is lost, or stolen, or damaged, especially if I am not eligible for an upgrade. They will deal with me if I've fulfilled my contracts - if I'm still under contract I don't expect a deal and will figure a way to keep a working phone on the line on my own.

I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the new ioS 5.1. After I did this and synced my phone, it won't let me play any audio from apps, itunes or music. It will allow the phone to ring but that is all. When I use viber I have to press this button and change it from docking to iphone. I take it that the phone thinks I'm permanently on a docking system.
It also will not sync my music back to my phone. My music is on itunes but it won't let it sync.
I have restored my phone twice and it still won't work - HELP!! Please???Your device is broken. If you want a device that works better than the one you have now, then you'll either need to bring your phone into Apple for out of warranty exchange ($149), or find a 3rd party repair shop in your area and see what they can do, if anything at all.

Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 4 to Version 5, all the new apps that I try to download keeps saying "waiting" on my phone... It won't open or download! Only the old apps that I already had before I upgraded my phone works. Please help!!!
Try resetting the iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings -
I have just upgraded to Iphone 4S as my Iphone 3G failed. I want to transfer the data which I believe is stored in my Itunes account. But when I connect the phone to my computer nothing happens it just ask me if I want to download pictures or video. it does not go to my Itunes account.
swisscom say they cannot help it should go to your account and select the phone under devises but I canniot get a screen to do this can anyone help

I upgraded my Iphone to IOS6, but now I can't connect it to itunes (10.6.3) because it is not upgraded. However, when I want to upgraded, it says that my computer (imac Mac OS 10.5.8) needs to be upgraded to another version. I can't find anything to help me out.
You need iTunes 10.7 or later.
To get this, you need Mac OS 10.6.8 or later.

Please help. I think I just bricked my own phone. Despite worries after reading all of the rpoblems people have had upgrading their iphone to Ios 6, I used iteunes to do this to my iPhone 4. (I upgraded to the latest itunes.) Now after 1.5 hours of everything seeming to work OK, all I have is an Itunes graphic on my phone and nothing going on any more in Itunes. The phone doesn't shut down normally or anything. Suggestions? Should I just do a restore operation? I did back up my apps and pics.
Thank you. I ended up performing the Restore after I did an Update, and performing the restore solved the problem----I now have a functioning iPhone with all of my data, pics, and apps on it. Fortunately I made sure that I backed up my iPhone before I tried to update to iOS6. Man, what a headache though, and it sounds like I had it easy compared to some other horror stories I've read. I won't update my iOS on my iPhone again; i've learned my lesson. It remains to be seen whether iOS6 will be worth it :-)

I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. Since i upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS 6.0, i can no longer watch or view my Movies or Video's in my Music Playlist. I can still view them in my Videos which is not in orderly manner or arragement like i wanted unlike in the Playlist. There is some sort of restrictions i guess. I already checked the Allow All Movies but still the videos does'nt appear. What should I do?
Please HELP ME.
Thank you very much.Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall. -

Is the SIM from the carrier the device is locked to?
Has the device ever been hacked or jailbroken?
Have you tried simply removing and re-installing the SIM? What about replacing the SIM? -

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

Hi guyz just fixed mine just now, I used an app named iREB please refer to the below link. Make sure youre iphone is plugged in to your USB then launch the app as admin. As soon as the app is running go to the "Recovery Mode Loop Fixer" tab & hit the "Set Auto-Boot True (Fixes 1015 errors / Recovery Loops). It will restart your iPhone in just a moment & get you back to your homescreen.
I hope this will help those whos undergoing this horrifying iPhone problem.

I just "upgraded" my iPhone with the new software. As a low vision person, your phone was always previously helpful. I now discover that I cannot use the phone easily. The font has been changed to a very narrow typeface and the greyscale has been altered to reduce contrast. The background is now grey as well rather than white. The accessibility options permit only three choices. First, increase type size. With the the low greyscale, thin typeface, increasing type size makes it HARDER to read. There is no option for contrast enhancement. Third, the background switch options suffers from the same deficit as the white background. The third choice is to enhance brightness but without the option to change contrast, this is useless. Am I missing something? Can this be fixed? How? When? Are you planning a similar negative "update"/change to other devices?
I am having the same problem. I have gone through every setting, set the bold font, contrast, larger font....everything I could find in any post to try and help - and between the new color scheme that makes it virtually impossible to use the pictures of my grandchildren as background (the picture colors now become the theme colors - which now match the colors of many of the "flat" icons...) I am finding the phone very difficult to use--espeically things like the calendar which has now become very hard to "see" and use. If I can't revert this thing to iOS6, I may have to get a different phone.
