Help toggling music on & off

I have a website created with iWeb '09, and I want to add an invisible mp3 song track to the home page. However, I want visitors to be able to start and stop the music by clicking on an icon of a speaker. One click and the music starts; another click and the music stops.
I have the mp3 and icon files, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone offer suggestions?

  • Help! 3G Toggles On and Off - No Down Arrow - Droid 2 Global

I have encountered a problem on my Droid 2 Global.  The 3G symbol toggles on and off constantly.  Sometimes it appears with an up arrow but never with a down arrow.  I cannot access the Internet.
Things I know or have tried:
    1. There aren't any new apps.  This happened out of the blue.
    2. Data is enabled.
    3. I have booted into Safe Mode.  I still have the same problem.
    4. I removed the battery.  I still have the same problem.
    5. I did *228.  I still have the same problem.
I do not know if this is just a coincidence or another symptom of the problem but I am also having trouble making calls.  Recently when I try to make a call from the contact list and I press send, nothing happens.  I see the 3G toggling but the call isn't made.  It's only when I then press the back icon that the call is sent.
    Help!

It seems to me the only things that could cause your symptoms are a bad charger which is shutting off when the extra charging current is drawn, or a bad battery which is open circuit and won't accept a charge (goes instantly to full-charge Voltage). It sounds like the computer will run off the battery, so the latter isn't likely. Other possible culprits would be a confused PMU which didn't really get reset (there's more than one way to reset a PMU, so be sure you're doing the right one for your model iBook), a loose power input connection, or a broken wire at the power plug.
There's also a chip in the battery, and they sometimes get confused. Cycling the battery (full discharge followed by a full charge) sometimes helps. There is a battery reset utility, but I don't know if it works on G4s.

  • Sound toggles on and off when I hit the "0" key on a 2010 Mac Mini.

Whenever I hit the zero key on an Apple keyboard using a 2010 Mac Mini, the sound toggles on and off.  It does not happen when I use the keyboard with a 2012 Macbook Pro.  There can be times when the sound toggles when I am not even typing. I upgraded to Mountasin  Lion, but this did not resoilbve the issue.  I have disabled remote control.
Thanks to all for your help.

    Hi John,
That's often a sign of a bsad Capacitor in the Power Supply, but...
Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

  • Shortcut for toggling on and off the preview after developing

I am searching for a shortcut to toggle on and off the preview of the developed Picture. So I can see "Before and After".
There is written in the German Version of the Shortcut List: Nur Vorher anzeigen -- \
Be aware that it is not / which you will get with SHIFT-7 but for \ you have to SHIFT-ALT-7.
This shortcut marks the picture into yellow and does not as intended.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi dj_paige,
yes you are quite right. It is the backslash as you may see in the original post. It is SHIFT-ALT 7 and this will generate "\".
And also it is said to be exactly for this purpose (Before-After). But it does´t do so. That was my question.
I also had since then contact to Support from Adobe, but they could not help either.

  • *** Need help recovering music on iPod/iTunes ***

    * Need help recovering music on iPod/iTunes *
I bought my iPod 30G when it first came out back in the day. With the protective case it looks like a Walkman, if you know what that is. The new ones are half the thickness of my old skool one. lol!
Anyway, years ago I accidently uploaded a virus in both my PC and laptop. Yeah, real *******. Well, the person who restored my computers couldn't save my music. I still have the iPod but my library on iTunes is gone. If I try to update my iPod in either computer it will erase every song I have on it and only upload the songs/album I'm trying to add. I'm told that this is something Apple did to prevent file sharing, blah, blah, blah...
Does anyone know a way around it? I keep buying CDs just not able to load them into my iPod thru iTunes.

    Hello yourantihero,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

  • Any way to get just music back off of a locked, broken ipod touch?

My ipod screen was pretty messed up, and while trying to fix it, my boyfriend ended up breaking the screen and now the touch on the ipod doesn't work. I'm not too upset about that, as the ipod itself is pretty old and was going to be replaced anyway. However, I do want to get my music back off of it. The last backup of my music was on my computer back home that broke (My younger brother got the hard drive infected with a pretty bad virus) which means that all of my music that I got off of old CDs before donating them, and all the music saved on that computer are gone. I was in the process of writing down the music titles and artists in my ipod that weren't on my current computer so that I could reaplace them here where I am now, but I only got through a few letters before this happened and now I can't do anything with my ipod.
The ipod is pawwcode protected as well, so I can't get into it normally. Is there still a way to do it? All I ever used this ipod for was really to listen to music, so that's all I want to get back out of it, I don't care about any of the other data as much. The ipod is so old it's way out of warranty as well, so I figured there was no real point in going to the apple store? any suggestions?
Also, my ipod is formatted for windows.

    Okay, thank you.
My biggest problem with that is that most of my music came from old CDs I had, and most of those have now been sold or donated since they were on my ipod, so technically they weren't iTunes purchases and are now currently unavailable to me.
I have a friend who has repaired iPods before and he is going to try, but at this point thats about all I can try to do without reformatting or restoring the ipod.
Thank you for helping me though.

  • All my apps and music disapeared off my phone

Plugged my iphone into my computer the other day and all my apps and music disapeared off my phone.  no matter what I do music wont sync. please advise?

It's pretty difficult to offer much in the way of advice when you don't provide much in the way of detail, but perhaps this will help:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
If not, you may have purchased somone's defective iPhone in which case you'll need to go back to the seller, or pay Apple's out-of-warranty replacement charge for an exchange.
    Regards.

  • Please help, my music would not open after syncing to computer.

Please help, my music would not open after syncing to computer.

Try quitting the music app completely and restart your iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that didn't help - reboot your iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work, there may be a corrupt song in your Music app that you have to find and remove.

  • Any fix to iTunes music turning off when iPad 1 put onto charging stand?

Any fix to iTunes music turning off when iPad 1 put onto charging stand?

Ok, I found a solution that worked for me when trying to connect to the iTunes store by tapping the "update" button in the "App Store" app on my iPad 2. Before the solution was implemented I'd always get the error message "cannot connect to iTunes store". Once the solution was implemented I now can connect to iTunes using the "update" button in the "App Store" app and I get the normal message "All apps are up to date". The solution is this:  go into Settings, then General, then scroll to the bottom where it says Date and Time. Tap Date and Time and then turn OFF Set Automatically. When you do that a new option will be added that says Set Date and Time. Tap it. You'll now get a drop down feature. Set the Date AHEAD 2 YEARS. The Time you can leave alone.
Once you do that you might get a bunch of reminders and messages that your apps and stuff haven't been updated in two years. Click cancel or close on each of those messages or reminders. Now go back into Settings, General, Date and Time, and turn Set Automatically back to ON. Reboot your iPad. Open the App Store app again and go to the Update button. It might ask you to log back in to your iTunes account. It should now work. If not, close the App Store app completely and open again and try the update button. Hope this helps.

There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

My computer wont let me download MP3 rocket because it says its in DOS mode.  Im 14 so if someone could help me turn it off step by step thank you.

From what I know, MP3 Rocket is a program that will only work on a Windows computer. They don't make a version that will work on a Mac.
If you need to convert Youtube files to MP3, then you may want to try Smart Converter. It is available in the App Store for free. Just launch App Store, then look in the Top Charts section, under FREE, select "see all", and look for the the download shown below.

thanks for the reply.  guess i'll have to do that.  apple, not really happy with what you've done with this latest update.  have not been able to enjoy my music in my car since the update.  most of us dont mind changes that progress timely, but this was much more than just a progression.  this was a complete change.  and not a good one, at all.  thanks to the two people that replied.  appreciate it.
