HELP track monitoring goes mute in play mode

Hello
i'm going to change my old logic installation 9.1 with a new one on my new macbookpro (9.1.3)
but i find a very strange problem.
the same song on the old computer works good.
on the new one, i have a problem putting an audio track in rec mode, i cn hear the source (ex a guitar). but when i press play, the sound stop! but the Vmeter works, so the input is still present! going to stop, the sound come back. going to record a track, the sound is ok, and recording too.
i have check all the logic settings with the old installation, and is exactly the same.
i tried createing a new song with only 1 audio track and the problem is confirmed.
i tried to activate the built in audio interface and the problem is confirmed.
thankyou in advance

Thanks Mikey, when I do that, the audio sounds like a mixture between low frequency timecode and the 5.1. Sounds like underwater goop. Definitely not correct. The other option in the preferences "M-audio" outputs stereo. We have the M-audio adapter, so I would think this is the correct choice, but it is not outputting 5.1 through this. The S/PDIF option is sending 5.1 but, like I said earlier, it is unacceptable. Jason

• Monitor Goes into 'Power Saving Mode' HDMI

I have an LG monitor (IPS237-BN) which always goes into 'Power Saving Mode' when I connect my MacBook Air to it via a Thunderbolt-HDMI connection.
Sometimes it actually connects and I can mirror my displays (or count it as another), most of the time it doesn't. I have used different cables etc. I cannot install the driver because I do not have a CD drive.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
Update the the video driver from the NVIDIA web site.
Your PC bios should be 5.29 or higher so that is something to check.
The Truckee motherboard was recalled but you might be past that date.

• Monitor goes to energy saving mode

I have a macbook pro 13" (mid 2010) and i also bought the mini display port to vga adapter from apple, one day the computer went to sleep with and external monitor plugged in, and when i tried to wake up the computer the display still in energy saving mode, y tried typing in the keyboard and clicking but nothing, I had to unplug the external monitor and since then when y try to plug any external monitor (i've tried with several) it always goes to energy saving mode. I have tried installing the Mini DP VGA Update but it doesn't recognize that there is an external monitor plugged in.

VGA Card - ATI Radeon 7200 64 SDR, built by ATI, so there are no problems with it.

• Play modes (i'm doing something wro

Let's say I want to listen to only one artist and I have a few albums of this artist on my Zen Micro. Now lets say I want to shuffle the songs only from that artist. Can I do this without making a specific playlist? I can't figure out how to to do it. Thanks!!!

Selkie: It's pretty easy. Go to the artist in the Music Library on the player, and press play to queue all the tracks. Then change the play mode to shuffle, if it isn't already.

• Macmini 2011 on lion, goes to a blue screen om monitor when awakening from sleep mode, last 3 or 4 seconds, can anyone help? Thanks

Macmini 2011 on lion, goes to a blue screen on monitor when awakening from sleep mode, last 3 or 4 seconds, before desktop appears, can anyone help? Thanks

Depending on the system configuration, this may not
be unusual. The Mini that I use for my home theater,
which is connected to a receiver then to a TV, all via
HDMI usually takes a couple seconds to come up just
the way yours does. Same happens when I switch sources
on the receiver. Actually, it starts with the blue screen and
will sometimes flash before the desktop comes up.
It seems that when HDMI goes dormant, there is handshaking
that needs to be re-established, at least thats my SWAG on it.
On the other hand, the Mac Mini Server that I use as a work
station and is connected to a Thunderbolt Display, wakes to desktop
in a second, maybe two. On this combo, it just comes up to
the desk top.
It also probably depends on what processes were active when
the Mini was put to sleep. So it may take some time for it to get around
to reloading the desktop.

• New LG Monitor Screen Image Keeps Shifting a few pixels left and right / goes into power save mode

I just purchased a new LG Computer Monitor from Best Buy today and hooked it up to my PowerMac computer. Shortly after setting it up, the entire screen image started sporadically shifting left and right a few pixels. And then, at seemingly random times, it'll shut itself down, going into power save mode. I checked the cables to make sure they were secure and they seem to be. Could there be some sort of interference that's causing it? Or would it be the graphics card? My computer is only a couple years old. Please help!

Do you have another computer you can plug the monitor into to test?

• MY IPOD IS IN DISK MODE!!! HELP, I'm going nuts

It's been working great. Loading up my itunes stuff. Going walking, It played great. Well, I went to use it this morning. I had left my headphones plugged in. (Maybe you are not supposed to do this?)
It says "Disk Mode, DO NOT DISCONNECT. (I just connected it to my computer hoping it would stop saying 'SAFE TO DISCONNECT".
That's what it had been doing since this morning. It had a big check in the middle of the screen and it said 'safe to disconnect".
Since it was NOT CONNECTED TO ANYTHING, I was confused. And I don't know which side the hold thing is supposed to be on. Should I see the orange thing, or not. What side should it be on when it's locked?
How do I get this thing to get out of Disk Mode?
Pulleeeeze help!!!
Melody

Thank you so much.
But just in case I have to buy another one. (This one is about 4 years old). I don't need anything fancy, no video or anything. And I don't want to shuffle anything. I just want to go walking, select the tunes I want and do my thing. So if I have to buy a new one, do they still sell the IPOD nano. Or do I have to buy some fancy updated version. I know there are 1st generation, 2nd generation, ones with videos, etc. Do you have any idea how much a simple Ipod Nano would cost??
Four years ago I paid $149 for mine. One would think (with all the newer versions), that maybe my little Ipod Nano would now being sold for half the price? Do I have a shot here?
Thank you so much for all your help!!!

I have read your post on how your monitor goes into sleep mode and will not wake up, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To rule out any sleep mode issues with the monitor, I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try a different cable connecting your monitor to your computer
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

• TS1425 Ipod has Suddenly gone mute, songs play but speakers are quiet???? Any help and suggestions, short of Apple, unhelpful and costly solutions, Please?????

Ipod I am using suddenly went mute, songs play but spekaers are quiet!!!!! ANy helpful advice, short of Apple help which is costly and a long wait time, Like Dell!!!!
Thxs

Hmm.. I should try that! I think last time i did that was how my computer got everything back but now I'm in worse matters....
Now my songs have dissappeared again... and this time, iTunes will NOT recognize it...
uFF~!!!! I hate my Ipod! I'm sick of the horrible support, the problems, glitches... its done with, maybe I should invest in a Zune... seeing that its working fine for my friends...
I just wish I could get this thing to work! I mean the Warranty is way over, and then if I wanted to trade it in... they'll give me only 10% of it back by buying an Ipod.. and that goes with ANY Ipod... even newer ones..
I am now rethinking about buying an Ipod Classic, I mean i need to rely on it, and if it fails like my past Ipods.. why should I use 250 dollars on something that won't be reliable.
I hope Apple is happy, I used to love Ipods.. I used to love Apple.. but over the last years, the service and support has been riduclous, and maybe if they were to change their ways, maybe I'll come back.
But yes Runner, I agree, they're nothing but trouble, we should both just go to Circuit City and buy ourselves a Zune. Which I hear is great in reliability. LOL
Take care, and if you know what I can do to my Ipod to save it, let me know! LOL

• ITunes' Taskbar-playing mode doesn't show track details on mouse-over, how to fix this?

In earlier versions of iTunes the taskbar playing-mode showed details of the current track (title, artist, album illustration) on mouse-over.
The new version (10.6.1.7) lacks this function.
Is this a change Apple made and will it come back? Or is it just a setting in the Preferences which I can't find?
Thanks in advance!

Its a bug there is nothing that you can do about that
you have just to wait until they fix it

• My iphone4 suddenly goes mute half way through a music track

The track timing shows it still playing but no sound - seems to happen on random tracks! Only corrects when you skip to next track. Any ideas?

Your nano is pausing playback when the screen goes dark (Either when it goes dark on its own or when you click the sleep/wake button). The reason for this is that it is not detecting your headset. You may be able to hear music, but the headset jack is not inserted enough for the nano to detect that it is there (or something is blocking the connection). Here are your three options:
Insert the headset jack harder. Most folks find that this solves their problem. If you can see ANY of the silver of the plug when it is inserted, it is NOT fully inserted. You should feel and hear a click" when it is fully inserted.
Clean out the crud in the headset port. If you have tried #1 and it just won't insert all the way, it is likely that you have crud in your headset jack. Shine a light in there. The entire inside of the jack is white, so if it looks dark down at the bottom, there is probably crud down there. You can try blowing it out or using canned air. Just understand that shoving anything else in there to clean it out will be taking your warranty into your own hands! However, I have cleaned mine out using whatever was handy and small enough to fit in there and so far so good. Your results may vary!
Take it to the Apple store. If you have really tried with 1 and 2 and it is still happening, then there might just be something up with your headset port or your headset jack. If it is the headset jack, you can look closely at that and be pretty sure if that is the problem. Try another headset to make sure. If you have worked all the way through to this point and it is still happening, it is time to take it to the Apple store.

• Premiere Pro 5.5 program monitor goes blank, please help!

I started a super simple brand new project in Premiere Pro 5.5, importing only simple, small resolution png files (to create an animation), and my program monitor goes completely blank. This started happening right when I updated the driver for my video card. I run a Windows 7 64-bit machine, with NVidia Quadro 2000, driver updated (333.11), source footage is png files, my OS is up to date, I use just a single monitor, there are no error messages at all, when I try to scrub, my program monitor stops working (it shows a still image), then suddenly it goes completely black! I have no third party effects, plug-ins or hardware installed. And yes, my Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration is good. I am completely stumped since the project is barely started. Does anyone have any ideas?!
