HELP - tracking BSOD with my new W530

Help, this is an event that seems to hit once every 10 days ( 3 times now ) since receiving my new laptop. I am running model 24382HU - 32GB RAM, BIOS 1.07, Win Pro 7 64 SP1, Crucia 512 SSD ( M4-CT512M4SSD2 ).
The BSOD is comes and goes quick but I managed to see "Driver IRQL is less than ..." which on various forums is driver or hardware defect - maybe memory chip.
The help I am looking for is one - the location of the dump file on my system, two - seeing if anyone else has similar issues.
I have applied critical and recommended patches and still have optional patches to load. I am one BIOS level behind and I will perform that last.

I just wanted to let you know that the dump file ( I think you mean were you can see error,warning, or information) you can use the Event Viewer. The Windows Event Viewer lets you see several different logs like Application(program) events, Security-related events, Setup events, System events, Forwarded events.
You can find this by: start button, clicking control panel, clicking system and security, clicking administrative tools, and then double-clicking Event Viewer. If you're promoted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the event log in the left pane.
Double-click an event to view the details of the event.

I would suggest you read the user guide. There IS no Facetime App for the iPhone.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Win 7 or 8 with a new W530?

Hidy ho.
I realize that no one can make this decision for me, but I'd greatly appreciate input from users savvier than I.
I've been running Win XP on an old Dell these last seven years, and it's time for a new laptop. Am on the Lenovo site now, customizing a W530 prior to purchase.
Win 7 or Win 8? That's the question. Lenovo offers Win 7 at no extra cost, and I've read and heard that the OS is mature and stable.
Or should I take the Nestea Plunge and go with Win 8? Apart from the unintuitive learning curve, are there other reasons to postpone the inevitable?
I should add that I'm not big on upgrading the OS during the life of the machine. Whatever comes with this laptop is what I'll likely be using for the next six or seven years.

Only the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Sounds like the phone was hacked to unlock it originally. Find out what carrier it is locked to, and look up their contact information using google or the search engine of your choice.

Please help! problem with my new ipod nano

A reset should bring the nano out of this and make it realize that it is no longer connected to the computer. Some people have discovered that their nanos have frozen in that state and have been forced to perform a factory restore, but have reported that the nano has performed properly after that.
Note that if you have disk mode enabled, you really need to eject the iPod from within iTunes before disconnecting the dock cable. Ideally, you should see the menu on the nano's screen before you disconnect the dock cable. If you just disconnect the nano at any old time, you may cause corruption on the nano.

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!

I have upgraded my iphone 5 to new iOS7 where I see that we have a new shorcut feature Control Center to turn on Wifi, Blutooth, Air Play etc..In the same we have for MUSIC where I am not able to pause or stop music and also cant go to next track and issue withe those buttons.

Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

How to use track effects with new version of GarageBand

In the version of GarageBand before this one, you could access different effects that you could manage and apply to the different tracks. Each track had an area containing its set of effects that were either activated or deactivated. With this removed, i am not sure how to add those same kind of effects. I am aware of the new nobs that are provided in order to mix and edit trebles, bass, mid, etc., but i want to be able to add different effects such as voice transformer, flanger, chorus, speech enhancer, bit crusher, bass amp, track echo, track reverb, amplifier, etc. I desperately need help finding out how to do this, as this was a major part of my mixing and producing with GarageBand, and without these given effects, i do not feel as comfortable using GarageBand.

Someone stole my New Ipad i try to track it but they restore it or maybe its turn off can i Track it with the serial number????

When i was at school I left my Ipad at a table and forgot it but i realise it when i got out of the room it was in the cafeteria it only took like five minutes for them to stole it. i had find my iphone app but it seems they turn it off or restore my Ipad. is there a chance i can track it with just the serial number?

Ati2dvag BSOD's with the new display driver?

Hi Folks,
I recently installed lenovo's latest display driver (7yd124ww.exe), and since then have been getting ati2dvag BSOD's popping up on me during graphic operations (bringing up pdf's, etc). This has happened to me with every new driver since 7YD121WW, even modded ATI drivers. (I think 7YD119WW worked without BSOD's for me). I'll probably be rolling back to the old 7YD119WW, but it'd be MUCH better to make the newer ones work, since the older ones don't support OpenGL very well, and there are other annoyances with them as well.
Anyone else running into these problems, or is it just me? If it's just me, then perhaps I have some bad video memory or something. (in which case, anyone know how i test that?)

PS I run Dexpot (a virtual desktop emulator) and generally keep a load of windows open, so I might be somewhat tough on the graphics processor. Still, I'm not a gamer, so if it depended on high graphics usage, I would think that gamers would run into this problem more often than I do.

I've have just similar problems - as also many other 400/500 series users - there're several graphics problems threads
I also updated video drives to 7yd124ww - and problems started
I can open 2 to 4 PDF - and then my T400 crash/halt (bluescreen/BSOD w/ ATI2DVAG error or just blank screen)
I've updated Adobe SWs to latest ones available - no help
My T400 may also crash/halt albeit I'm not doing anything i.e. T400 and Win XP are just up and running - and suddenly BSOD w/ ATI2DVAG error
Same behaviour - no matter using LAN or WLAN, docked or undocked

Help with adding new song to 2007 iPod shuffle

I have an iPod shuffle from 2007 and just recently went to add new songs to it. Itunes program keeps telling me I have to erase everything and reload w/ new playlist I've added?? Confused, don't remember it working like this last year when I added songs. Any help??

With the 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle, it can only be associated with one iTunes library at a time. That has always been the design. It is basically like a mobile playlist for iTunes the library. The 3rd and 4th gen shuffles work more like the "bigger" iPods that have a screen, which is different from the very simple 1st and 2nd gen.
If you previously used this shuffle with a different iTunes library, iTunes is asking if you want to associate the shuffle with the iTunes library you are now using.

Hi I would be grateful if someone can help me, I have just bought a canon wireless printer, I only have an iPad so I can not install the cd that comes with the new printer yet it says it is compatible. How do I get it working I have a pay as you go 3G sim

I do not use the Internet using wifi I use 3G mobile broadband and if I do need wifi it tells me I have to pay for it, but I can not work out how to install or connect my iPad with my new printer if there is not a cd slot or USB port. I only have an iPad no computer so how on earth do I use my printer with it if it I can't install the printer cd. I though I would be able to use Bluetooth and it would pick it up automatically but I am really confused now and don't know what to do please help.

The iPad uses AirPrint technology to print to a printer. Check this Apple support page to see if your printer is listed as being AirPrint compatible.

If your printer works with AirPrint you will need a Wi-Fi network in order to connect. That Wi-Fi network does not need to be connected to the Internet. As James Ward4 says, you'll need a Wi-Fi router to set up your network. Most routers require that a computer be used during the setup process. Perhaps you could use someone's computer to do the setup if you do not had one yourself. Once the router is set up you should be able to print.

Are you using the same ID for homesharing on all devices.
By the way shared libraries don't show up under either 'Music' or 'Libraries'.
