Help! Tripod in the shot!

Hey everyone,
I'm kind of in an emergency situation here. I recently cut my short film using adobe premiere; I am premiering it next week and I just realized that the tripod is in one of my shots!!! Normally, I would export the frame and just photoshop it out, but in this scene a character actually climbs out of a froest/wood area and walks in front of the tripod itself (tripod is in the distance in the woods, fairly camoflaged but not nearly enough for my liking). I need to find a quick and effective way to erase the tripod until/while the character walks over it in the shot.
I have the adobe master collection and assume that AE is the best tool for the job; however, I'm not sure how to go about this. I'm concerned I'll have to rotoscope it frame by frame and I don't know if I'l have enough time to do that sort of work by next week!

I need some help removing light from a stage light from the shot.

Recently I shot a music video in a location that worked really well.
However upon uploading the footage onto Adobe Premiere CS6 onto mac and looking back at the footage there is a huge stage light that is on in the corner of the shot,
(rookie framing error I know!)
Naturally the huge stage light (which is yellow/white) was producing a lot of light flare.
I was wondering if there was any way of seriously reducing or, if possible, completely removing the light that the stage light is producing?
Any Ideas?

I thought when dealing with AWTcomponents suchs as Frames, everything is already running on the event-dispatch thread.
As far as my understanding goes it is only with swing components (which is what the article you posted is about) such as JFrames, JButtons,etc that are required to be put in the event dispatched thread....

I have been working on a new computer build with heavy CS5 usage in mind, particularly After Effects and Premiere. I have regular access to free cameras and gear, and I need an editing machine to facilitate a few personal projects This machine will be the kernel of a home studio, but will also be used for more ordinary internet / bill-paying types of work as well.
The help I need from you:
The price on my build right now is $3,956.00. Yikes!! I need help squeezing the total pricetag of this rig to a more manageable number, hopefully under $3,000. However, I know that I am purchasing literally everything in the system brand new, including things like monitors, speakers, the keyboard, etc, so my pricetag will be a bit higher than most builders in this forum.

A little about me /my needs and usage:
I went to film school. I'm not an editor per se, but I did a number of experimental compositing and animation projects, things that I'd like to resurrect, polish up, and put in my reel. I also plan to use this machine to digest projects that are not yet shot. With this machine, I'll be making the switch from Apple systems to PC.
Formats I'd like to be working with in the future:
-Sony SxS cards (XDCAM EX)
-Many flavors of DV video (DVCPROHD, DV, AVCHD, HDV)
-HDSLR footage (native H.264-based streams)
-Maybe RED footage?
I've never built a computer by myself before, but I have friends that have, who can help me. The components I've selected for this build were based mostly on advice I'd read in this forum, particularly Haarm's many guides for newbies like me
I do NOT need to be the fastest kid on the block, but I do want to build a reliable system the RIGHT WAY. I don't want to be cheap about cooling. For the HDD system, I want optimized data throughput that is structured in a sensible way.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who bothers to read even 1/2 of all that stuff, let alone anyone who makes helpful suggestions on how I can bring down the price of this system.

How do I tell the installer to put my html help files in the helpdir symbolic location?

I used the File>>Print function to create an HTML help file for my application and specified in the VI Properties for the app to use <helpdir>:\ApplicationHelp.HTML as the Help Path. This should pop up the help file when a user selects "Help for This VI" from my custom menu. It works from my development directory because I installed the help files into the help directory manually, but I can't figure out how the get the installer to put the files in the correct location on the target system. I tried putting them in [LabVIEW 2010 Help] in the Destination View for the Source Files category, but that didn't work. Anyone know the right way to do this?

Thank you for the reply! I had already done the steps you suggested, so let me put up some screen shots that should help you understand my issue better. First, I specified the path to the help information on the Documentation screen of the applications Properties:
Next I had added all the help files (DetectorFT.html and all the .png files) to the source in a virtual folder I named Resources.
Next, for the release build I specified the files to be Always Included on the Source Files header.
Next I created a Resource Directory as a destination for the release build.
Then I specified the Resource directory as the destination for the files for the Release build.
After creating the Release build, I created an Installer build and told it on the SOurce Files screen to put the help files into the [LabVIEW 2010 Help] directory.
I had assumed that putting the files in the [LabVIEW 2010 Help] destination would put them into the correct directory when the installer ran. When I ran the installer on the target system, the ran the application I tried to select the "Help for This VI" tab on the menu, but it was grayed out indicating it could not find the file in the proper location. So the question I have is, what IS the proper location for the files to be installed to so the the application will find the Help files when it is looking for them at the <helpdir> Symbolic Path location? If those don't help you can try a cleaning disc or a quick shot of compressed air. Chances are that your drive has failed, join the club it's not all that uncommon. You can either have it replaced or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the cute little Apple USB Superdrive, it won't work on macs with internal drives working or not.

The photos being scanned are old film shots. They have NOT been previously scanned. I am using Photoshop Elements 9 software.

Are you scanning as jpeg, tiff or some other format?
Are you using continuous numbering for files names as by definition scanned files have no exif data.

New to color correction - need help on too bright shot

Need help to fix this shot! I've been messing around with color corrector 3 way and nothing seems to help. I'm new to color correction and would greatly appreciate any advice.

When you see white pixels in an overexposed shot, it means that there's often no pixel data to work with.
While the best option is a reshoot (this time with proper monitoring), you may want to try the "Captain's Blowout Fixer" filter available here: http://pistolerapost.com/pluginz/index.html
It let's you looks to see which color channel has the most remaining pixel data (if any) and work with it to overcome production screw-ups like this. Make sure you watch the tutorial on how to properly use the filter.

Stabilizing node clips the shot?

Hi all! I have a question that's driving me nuts:
(English is not my first language so bear with me)
I have a shaky shot that needs heavy cloning and painting. The plan was to stabilize the shot, paint and then destabilize it to apply the same movement it originally had (I read this in the manual) everything went fine until I destabilized it: I noticed the shot was now clipped where the first stabiliation node had run out of space (don't know if I'm explaining myself).
Shake composites in infinte space, right? Why is the shot being clipped, what am I missing?
My client is getting here tomorrow so any help would be ENOURMOUSLY appreciated! : D!

Sorry this is late for your client review...but...
Quickpaint clips the "infinite space" by cropping the image. It is an awful behavior.
Since you already did the paint work, you can do as Patrick outlines above - just use SetAlpha to make the image alpha solid 1 before the move/paint/move & then Over the painted/destabilized over the original. Bear in mind that the stable/destable operation will soften that image slightly. The original will not be similarly softened...so you'll have a hard edged division between slightly soft & original sharp. (This may not be visible to the normal naked eye...but if someone likes to pick pepper out of flyshit...). Also, if your paint breaks frame, this method will yield a hard edge somewhere...but it doesn't sound like you'll have this problem.
Next time, use the Crop node to enlarge the stabilized image enough to keep the image in view throughout the sequence. Paint that, destabilize & crop back down to your original size.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

This is regarding a brand new ASUS PA 279Q, 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor. I'm connected via mini display port (into thunderbolt port on MacBook Pro) to display port on ASUS monitor; using cable ASUS included with the monitor. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro…full specs at bottom of this post.
I have resolution set at 2560 x 1440 which is the native resolution according to the ASUS spec. I tried the other resolutions available in my System Preferences and text displayed rough with those settings too. I've tried adjusting contrast, brightness and sharpness via the ASUS control panel and didn't solve the problem. Also tried calibrating via Mac's system preferences/display and that did not improve text display either. All the text on this monitor (no matter what software I launch, Finder, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel, VMWare Windows XP, Windows versions of Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc, all are consistently rendering text the same way --- ROUGH and with "HALOS" around each letter.
All point sizes of text and at various scales, display very rough on the screen. (My comparison is the retina display of my MBP and a Thunderbolt…so those two displays are my expectations.) I'm using the same MBP for both a Thunderbolt display (at work) and this ASUS at my home office.
On the ASUS it's not as noticeable when the text is on white backgrounds, but I'm a graphic designer and compose images with text all day everyday. Not to mention the specs on this ASUS PA279Q indicate it's built for the professional so I would expect better text rendering. I haven't even addressed color calibration and balance yet, because that won't matter to me if the text won't display any better than it is now.
I was so hopeful after researching all the specs on this monitor it would be a viable alternative to the glossy display of the Thunderbolt display. (Which, I do love the Thunderbolt display for it's clarity and how it displays crisp, clean text at all sizes. (This ASUS actually displays text decently if I increase the text so each letter is about 4" high. Which is pointless for practical purposes -- that'd be like doing page layout through a microscope!)
I kept holding off on getting a monitor for the home office thinking the Thunderbolt would be updated soon. I'd be sick if I dropped a grand on piece of 2011 technology only to learn a few days later an updated Thunderbolt display hit the market! Not to mention, I'm praying Apple comes out with a less reflective Thunderbolt display. The glare and reflection is the main reason I looked elsewhere for a large monitor; hence my asking for help. Hoping the ASUS text display issue can be worked out. My expectation is for it to display like the MBP retina and Thunderbolt display text. That possible?
Alternatively, I guess I could do the Apple Refurb Thunderbolt at $799. And see if there's a decent aftermarket anti-glare I could stick on it?

Check the authorizations assigned to the user which you used in the RFC destinations, If there is no enough authorizations then it is not possible to post the idocs.

CC is for retail use with 20 GB of storage space, CCT is where number of seats are purchased & assigned by one program admin where each seat gets 100GB of storage space.
You can not have both the CC & team in one account as it will only provide you added storage space of 120 GB but you can activate the CC any of them or either of them twice as CC is based on Adobe ID.
