Help trying to create a 2 page indesign doc with 1 landscape & 1 portrait page?

I'm creating a double sided A5 flyer, how do I create a 2 page indesign document with one page portrait & the other landscape?
Thank you in advance for anyone who can help with this ;-)

You can use the Page tool to change one, but if it's going to print I think it would be better to make them both either ladscape or portrait, then use Rotate Spread View in the Pages panel to make one appear inthe other orientation on screen while work.

How to create a DVD in iDVD without menu (there are several options):
1. Easy: Drop your iMovie in the autoplay box in iDVD's Map View, then set your autoplay item (your movie) to loop continously. Disadvantage: The DVD plays until you hit stop on the remote
2. Still easy: If you don't want your (autoplay) movie to loop, you can create a black theme by replacing the background of a static theme with a black background and no content in the dropzone (text needs to be black as well). Disadvantage: The menu is still there and will play after the movie. You don't see it, but your disc keeps spinning in the player.
3. Still quite easy but takes more time: Export the iMovie to DV tape, and then re-import using One-Step DVD.
Disadvantage: One-Step DVD creation has been known to be not 100% reliable.
4. (My preferred method) Easy enough but needs 3rd party software: Roxio Toast lets you burn your iMovie to DVD without menu - just drag the iMovie project to the Toast Window and click burn. Disadvantage: you'll need to spend some extra $$ for the software. In Toast, you just drop the iMovie project on the Window and click Burn.
5. The "hard way": Postproduction with myDVDedit (freeware)
Tools necessary: myDVDedit ( http://www.mydvdedit.com )
• create a disc image of your iDVD project, then double-click to mount it.
• Extract the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a location of your choice. select the VIDEO_TS folder and hit Cmd + I to open the Inspector window
• Set permissions to "read & write" and include all enclosed items; Ignore the warning.
• Open the VIDEO_TS folder with myDVDedit. You'll find all items enclosed in your DVD in the left hand panel.
• Select the menu (usually named VTS Menu) and delete it
• Choose from the menu File > Test with DVD Player to see if your DVD behaves as planned.If it works save and close myDVDedit.
• Before burning the folders to Video DVD, set permissions back to "read only", then create a disc image burnable with Disc Utility from a VIDEO_TS folder using Laine D. Lee's DVD Imager:

Our resident expert, Old Toad, also recommends this: there is a 3rd export/share option that give better results. That's to use the Share ➙ Media Browser menu option. Then in iDVD go to the Media Browser and drag the movie into iDVD where you want it.

Pages '09 docs with imbedded images crash app after OS 10.6 upgrade

I'm unable to open Pages '09 docs with imbedded images (JPG, GIF, TIF, etc) since upgrading to 10.6. I have not seen the same behavior from Pages docs w/o imbedded images. Permission repair lists no errors; can re-install iWork '09 if needed. Below are portions of the report the OS sends back to Apple:

After further investigation, I need to refine my evaluation of the problem. I'm able to insert JPG, GIF, and TIF files taken from WWW or CS.
The issue is not with Pages, but with MakeMusic's Finale. You are able to export score/part examples as graphic files (TIF in v2008). As a music teacher, I'm importing those TIFs into pre-existing Pages documents for student assessment.
I've now been unable to open those TIFs directly in Preview or Finder Quick Look. It seems the expected information about a TIF in SN is no being produced by Finale.
I have consulted MakeMusic's forums and currently, there are no official statements from MakeMusic on the compatibility of 2008-2010 versions with SN.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I'll have to wait out an update from MakeMusic.

Investigate book with both landscape and portrait pages

I've an old book where I sucessfully swapped landscape and portrait pages, but there are complications why I cannot use it as a model for my current project. Since I no longer remember how I accomplished this, I have to investigate how to build a book with both landscape and portrait pages.
I know about paragraph tags set to use a new page. Also a table on Reference page which lists Paragraph Tag Name, Right-Handed Master Page, Left-Handed Master Page, Range Indicator.
But this doesn't seem to be enough; something is not working.
Could you please point me toward resources which discuss how to do this?

I'm making an interactive presentation in InDesign. Im trying to create some scrollable text. i didn't know how to do that in CC, so I looked up some videos over the web and learned I needed to use the "Folio Builder" or the "Overlay panel". i never was able to find the latter and the Folio Builder gives me this message: "A software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please go to the Help menu and select Updates to get the required software." My software is already up-to-date (at least that's what the Adobe Application Manager tells me). Is this happening because I'm using a trial version? I'm planning to buy the Creative Cloud package but first I need to know it's worthy. Thanks for your help!

trying to create a button that runs an applescript. I have been discussing it in 101 but cross posting it here because it's not getting much interest over there.

Trying to create fillable form from InDesign table

I am working on a very long document, over 100 rows and about 18 columns, which will exist only as a pdf. I need to make 6 of the columns interactive so that they can be filled in with one of three letters by the end user.
I created the design in InDesign CS 5.5 as a table. That worked well for design control, but Acrobat X 10.1.3 does not recognize any of the cells in the PDF document. Is there a different InD export option that will make a table convert to a fillable form? I used press quality, then opened the pdf in Acrobat.
I have worked around by creating a short drop down list with the three letters in it and copied that into the cells using the Place Multiple Fields command. Then I can adjust position easily enough.
*Except* my client would prefer that the end user just type one of the letters into the cell/field rather than doing a drop down selection on each of the several hundred cells. She'd also like to be able to copy and paste the final filled-in information into her original excel document.
Am I missing something in Acrobat? I don't do fillable forms often and have never had one this massive.
I am working on a Mac.

Need help trying to create a ActiveX registered event

I am trying to create a register event for an ActiveX component. The problem I am having is creating the callback vi. When I right click on the VI ref and create the callback vi it is created with the user parameter as a variant. I would like this to be a control refnum. If I open the callback vi and replace the user parameter variant with a control refnum the wire from the callback vi to the VI ref is broken. How do I change the user parameter?

Joe is correct on this one. The callback where designed to take variants as their inputs, so that they are more flexible. In addition Variants are used through out ActiveX programming.
If you have a control reference that you want to pass into the VI, all you need to use is the "To Variant" function in the main VI to turn the reference into a variant. You can then inside the Callback VI you can use the Variant to Data VI to change the variant back to a reference; you simply where a constant of the reference type to the "Type" terminal.

Help!! adding new pages to doc with logo!!!

I've posted various questions for a couple hours now, none are answered. Is everyone sleeping or does no one know how to use Pages?? I'm near tears and I've read the manual about 10 times and don't understand it. I've tried to Google it but I'm not even sure what exactly to Google.
I have an 18 page document in Pages. It's just a plain old word processing document. A list of Gluten Free restaurants in my area. I add new restaurants to this list all the time so it needs to re-order itself as it does as a plain word processing document.
I want to brand it more so I'm putting my logo and a little design in the bottom left corner of each page, or at least thats how I'd like it to look.
So I set up page one, saved it as a template, captured it, done everything I can think of. But when I copy the document and paste it into the text boxt on the first page of the new document with the little logo on the page, all the subsequent pages do NOT have that logo on them. Just the first page.
IF I set up 18 pages with the logo, and then paste it just adds 17 blank pages after that first page with the logo. And those 17 pages that I set up prior to pasting are after the pages it added after the paste that have no logo.
How do it get this to add a page with the logo in the corner??
So when I add 5 new restaurants and it has to add a page to fit them it it will have that logo. This can't be that hard to do. I need the doucment to automatically add new pages when text is add and those pages need to have the logo,
Please help me!!!

I'm sorry you think that Peter and it isn't true. Maybe you are testy because its 2 am.
I spent hours trying to figure it out on my own. I looked all over these forums, I Googled it, I went to other Apple tips and forums I am familar with, went thru the manual. I tried a lot of places first so I really don't think I'm demanding and I'm sorry if I came off that way.
I was just super frustrated. Not being very computer savvy can be super frustrating, often I find what I "think" might be the answer for something I'm looking for and I can't even understand the answer. I try, I follow the steps but some of the terms I don't know and then have to google and follow more steps and blah blah.
I'm sorry but I didn't just come here without doing research first for the answer, so its not fair to say I expected others to do the work for me. I did try. I agree the information here us beyond useful, I never could have done anything without out in the past, I've used it many times. But you can shoot the messenger if you want but the response time does seem slower. Not sure why you take that personally.

When trying to create sitecollection showing a blank screen with text ACK

When i am trying to create a site collection i am ending up with a blank site with text ACK.Please can any1 help me in fixing this issue.

According to your post, my understanding is that it show a blank site with text ACK when you create a site collection.
To narrow down the issue scope, I recommend that you can try to test the following things.
1. Create some new different types site collections in this web application to check if this issue is occurred on the only site collection in this web application.
2. Create a new site collection in another web application to check if this issue is occurred on the only web application.
3. Create a new web application, create a new site collection in this new web application to test if it works.
If the issue persists, please check the ULS log file to find more information about this issue.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.

Trying to create 5.1 test file - problems with LF channel

I'm trying to create a 5.1 test file. To do this I'm creating test audio that cycles through each 5.1 channel in turn - all of which is fine until I get to the LF channel. If I place a lf clip in the project, turn the LF bass clef all the way up and the centre down, it doesn't matter where I pan that clip, it still bleeds over into other channels. Because I'm trying to generate a test clip that cycles through each individual channel, I need to be able to have a piece of audio on the LF channel only without it coming out of any other channels...

I discovered an easier method.
As we know, the Audio Mixer in Premiere has a flaw. You can't assign a track only to the LFE channel.
Here is the solution:
Import your Low frequency file into the project tab.
Select the file and click on Clip>Audio Options>Source Channel Mappings..., now under "Track Format" select 5.1, and repeatedly click the Channel tile until the Bass Clef appears.
It should look like this:
You just converted your mono LFE file into a virtual 5.1 surround file, with the LFE audio only on the LFE channel. This is the only way to achieve this solely in Premiere.
Now drag the LFE file from the project panel to the sequence. Notice that Premiere shows the track as a 5.1 surround track even though it's really mono.
Your file will now only play in the LFE channel.
