Help/understand plz-transcoded footage issue when slowing

OK...just before I posted this question I tried one last thing and it seemed to resolve the issue stated below BUT I would appreciate an explanation so I understand potential issues in the future since I borrow my friend's cams for church work and one is an AVCHD cam which is great for b-roll/non-audio-important footage. It appears that removing the "FRAME BLENDING" resolved the issue.
ISSUE:
When I slowed the b-roll to 50-80% AND rendered the footage after dropping it over the primary footage, it got all "jittery" (before rendering it was fine).
DETAILS:
1) working in FCP 7.
2) primary footage on a SONY Z1U (mDV) and b-roll on a SONY CX550 (AVCHD).
3) transcoded the AVCHD footage from the CX550 to APR 422 (LT)
As stated, issue seems to be resolved by removing the FRAME BLENDING when changing speed but I'd still appreciate an explanation. Thanks for your time.

This board is a Shared graphics memory and does not have a discrete Video Graphics.

HELP - Library Left pane scroll issues ( when in grid view )

I've run into a issue that is really starting to piss me off and hinder my workflow!
When in Library mode grid view, I can't scroll left folder/publish service with my mouse scroll wheel. UNLESS I'm hovering over the scroll bar. If I'm hovering over a folder, I can't scroll ( VERY annoying )
now this is where it gets weird, when in loupe / thumbnail view, I can scroll the left pane fine with no issues. Also, scrolling the left or right pane in Develop mode with no issues as well.
Also, it seems like the when scrolling the right pane in Library view is a bit flakey ( it scrolls, but pauses at some places )
I've read THIS thread, but I dont have any of that type of software on my PC.
I've tried 3 different mice with no fix.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

@sjmphoto0300: I have a Dell XPS 15 502X laptop (running Win 7 Home) and had the same scrolling issue as you in LR 3.6 when in the Library module only (the Develop module sidebar scrolling works fine). I could not scroll using my touchpad on the left or right pane unless my cursor was directly over either thin grey scroll bar or on the actual sidebar headings (e.g. "Catalog," "Folders," or "Quick Develop"). Mousing over the latter would only enable me to scroll until the cursor was no longer over the heading which was pretty useless.
I have Synaptics TouchPad v7.4 installed. While I don't have an option in my Mouse properties to specify certain programs that don't scroll properly as mentioned in another post, I did find a solution that works for me!
I had to do TWO things to get scrolling in the sidebars working properly:
1) In this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3888114#3888114) it was mentioned that the Synaptics scrolling graphic that appears (see screenshot below) interferes with scrolling and the scrolling graphic can be disabled with a registry tweak and then restart the Synaptics applications (2) or reboot.
2) Right-click an empty spot on the desktop and go to Personalize > Change Mouse Pointers > Device Settings (Synaptics logo on tab) > Settings. Click on Scrolling on the left of the Synaptics Properties window > Scroll item under pointer. Click Enable.
That got sidebar scrolling working without having to keep the cursor hovering above the skinny scrollbars. It seems like the Synaptics software doesn't recognize what area is always scrollable in Lightroom when "Scroll selected item" is selected.

Help Understanding Loss Of WiFi Issue

I am running into a stange issue. I am trying to help my neighbors with a wiFi issue. They have a cable modem BEFSR41 v3 and a WRT54GX4. Everytime there is a power surge or outage, they loose internet and have to usually reboot both modems. The BEFSR41 is the DHCP, I have the DHCP turned off on the WRT54GX4. This time the BEF** kept the internet going and the WRT** lost the internet and we had to reboot it to get connection again??
I never loose internet after a surge or power outage when it returns. I am using the same BEFSR41 v2 and a ONQ WL-330gw wireless access point. I never have to reboot, internet always comes back after outage.
I am lost on trying to figure out the issue for reboot at my neighbors when I do not have to at my house? Could their cable modem be bad?

Try to upgrade/re-flash the firmware on your router.
Connect the computer with the Ethernet cable to the router.
Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and save it on your computer. Open the setup page of the router. Click on Administration tab and go to Firmware upgrade sub tab. Browse the firmware file that you have already downloaded and upgrade it on your router.
After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.
Also try to change some advanced wireless settings on the router. Click on Wireless tab and go to Advanced wireless settings. Change the Beacon interval to 75, RTS threshold to 2307 and fragmentation threshold to 2306. Save the settings.

Performance issues when creating a Report / Query in Discoverer

Hope you are can help, it involves a performance issues when creating a Report / Query.
I have a Discoverer Report that currently takes less than 5 seconds to run. After I add a condition to bring back Batch Status that = Posted we cancelled the query after reaching 20 minutes as this is way too long. If I remove the condition the query time goes back to less than 5 seconds.

I've tried the condition (Batch Status||'' = 'Posted') as you suggested, but the qeury time is still over 20 mins. To test i changed it to (Batch Status||'' = 'Unposted') and the query was returned within seconds again.
Ive been doing some more digging and have found the database view that is linked to the Journal Batches folder. See below.
I think the problem is with the column using DECODE. When querying the column in TOAD the value of P is returned. But in discoverer the condition is done on the value Posted. Im not too sure how DECODE works, but think this could be the causing some sort of issue with Full Table Scans. How do we get around this?

JavaMail issue when one address recipient is corrupt it affects others

Need help dealing with a JavaMail issue when one of the email addresses is corrupt. Specifically it has a mailto: in the address (example is mailto:[email protected] instead of [email protected]). It is affecting all other email addresses listed after the corrupt one. This causes an issue when we try to store emails in our database being that we have our database set to only accept email addresses under 512 characters. Since JavaMail concatenates all the email addresses together once it reaches the corrupt one then we sometimes has a very long email the application is trying to insert into the database and we get an SQLException that the value is too large. Also, all email addresses after the corrupt address are never added.... Basically, we are receiving an email to our corporate mail server. The email has several addresses in the to address section with one being a corrupt email address. Our application wants to log every email address in the to section for logging purposes into our database. We would like to insert a record for all email addresses that are not corrupt. If one incoming email has an address in the to section with mailto: in it then we retrieve an array of all email addresses correctly until we reach the index that has the corrupt address. The corrupt email address is a concatenation of the corrupt email address and all the remaining email address after it (sometimes very long).
First we will get the folder and open it and get all the messages...

Date/time stamp issue when transferring vids/pics to computer. Help please.

Hi, i am having an issue when transferring my vids/pics from my Z2 to my PC.
On all my previous phones when transferring media to my PC it would be copied and labelled with a date stamp followed by a picture number- an example being 2014-01-13- 0123. This has always made organising and finding my pics/vids in there relavent folders an eay task.
The problem i am now faced with is when i transfer pics/vids from my Z2. The pictures are stamped with DSC_0001 for example and the videos with MOV_0001. This means when on my PC i have to examine each file individually to find out its date and time of origin.
Even more of an headache is everytime i have transferred files from my Z2 and then take more pics/vids and then try to transfer them to my PC the computer will not allow transfer as the stamp on the file i am transferring from my Z2 eg - DSC_0001 is already present on the PC from a previous transfer. This means i have to rename all the PC files first.
I hope this makes sense and hopefully there is an easy fix.
I am new to Android and overall i am very happy with the operating system, being a massive improvement generally over my previous phones. Fingers crossed this is down to my lack of knowledge and just involves a settings change somewhere.

The case you described is right. But it´s not a bug.
Why don´t you organise your pics/vids on your desktop with picasa for example. There you have many tools, also to rename your files, so that the filename contains the creation date.
Or you use a cloud solution like dropbox, google+ or amazon clouddrive to sync pics/vids from your phone automatically.
But never use the built-in sony playmemories. It´s really slow, pics are down-scaled to 1280x720 and vids are not synced. It´s the worst cloud-service for pics I´ve seen.

Urgent help - PO issue when receiving

Dear gurus
i have an urgent production issue, i have done a mass conversion of all the master data from one plant to another, the scenario is that they are closing down and stopping operations at old plant and moving the entire operations to new plant under the same company code, so for this i did the entire MM master data conversions
i also changed the delivering plant and address using MASS T-code for all the open PO's line items from old plant to new plant (some of line items had partial open qty and some of them entire open qty)
1st issue:
But when i am doing VL31N inbound delivery, the PO qty is NOT showing up automatically in the delivery qty field, so it is causing issues when trying the do a GR
2nd issue
also another issue is that in the Goods Movement Data tab while using VL31N for GR, it is by default showing the old plant still and is grayed out even though the PO line item contains the new plant code and delivery address, so how can we change the receiving plant to new plant and why it is not picking the new plant still
so can you please help me on this issue and let me know if there is any settings or resolution

you have written that you have converted the material master data, but what about the existing puchase orders, you have to copy all the orders in the new plant .
or if possible try to chane the delivery address in in the item details of the P.O.

HT4907 Password Issue when attempting to enable Back to My Mac in iCloud Preferences - HELP?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I have a problem enabling Back to My Mac. When I try and enable B2MM in the iCloud preferences window, I am asked to enter my Apple ID password. It says the password is incorrect, even though it IS 100% correct. I've even tried resetting my password (so that the password lives up to the latest security requirements for passwords, etc). So, it's definitely correct, and I'm able to login to my Apple account here (on this Apple laptop as well as on my iPad and iPhone)... it's not an issue when I log in anywhere else... I am only told my password is incorrect when attempting to enable Back to My Mac in the iCloud preferences pane.

From what I gather, you couldn't pay me to use Memeo, nor actually a Seagate enclosure, nor many USB only drives, (USB is not bootable on PPC Macs).
I've used maybe a few dozen backup Apps on the Mac, and I'd personally judge only Apple's Time Machine worse than that one.
If you had it to do all over again, you'd get a case with Firewire, one with an Oxford chipset, not containing a Green Drive, not a Seagate Drive, not less than 7200 RPM drive, & a 32MB Cache, not with a One-Button touch feature, ( not a Bus powered drive like...

My Iphone 5 has some issues when I tried to restore it, I could not as it is displayed "iTunes could not contact the iphone software update server because you are not connected to the internet Make sure your internet connection is active and try again, while I am connected to the internet. can someone help please?

The ringtone file format is m4r. You can create ringtone from any of your music file in your iTunes Music library.
Follow steps as follow:
1. Right mouse click the song in music library you want to create ringtone and choose “Get Info”
2. Choose “Option” Tab, Check “Start Time” n Stop Time” of the track you want to make into ringtone and put in your start time and end time (Max 40 secs duration), then click OK
3. Right mouse click the music file again and choose “Create AAC Version”
4. You will see a copy of song with same name appeared but with 40sec duration only. Now drag the song onto your desktop and you will see the name is now xxxxxx.m4a.
5. Change the file extension m4a into m4r from the desktop
6. Delete the 40sec m4a file from the music library (You must do this step or Itune will not accept your new m4r file).
7. *Important - Now uncheck the start n stop time of the original song so that you can play back full length.
8. Now, drag the m4r file from desktop to Library
9. Click onto the Tones under Library, and you find you ringone file.
Note: Just in case you cannot "Create AAC version" from Step 3, go to top menu, click "Edit", "Preference". Under "general" Tab, click "Import Settings", make sure under Import Using that "AAC Encoder" is selected.
Once you have ringtones in Tones library, you can sync ringtones over by connecting your phone to PC, select iPhone under Devices on iTunes left Pane, then go to 'Tones' tab and check SYNC TONES as well as the ringtones. Click the SYNC button on the lower right window.

I need help understanding an alignment panic when calling mutex_init

I am looking for help with a STREAM module that compiles and run under Solaris 10 on 32-bit and 64-bit Intel kernels but panics on a 64-bit Sarc kernel.
I have isolated the panic to a data alignment issue when my init routine calls either the rwinit and mutux_init routines with a pointer to a krwlock_t or kmutex_t structure that is not 8 byte aligned.
I am using "gcc version 3.4.3 (csl-sol210-3_4-branch+sol_rpath)" from the Solaris 10 install CD's with the following options:
gcc -Wall -fno-builtin -ffreestanding -nodefaultlibs -fpcc-struct-return -D_KERNEL -mno-app-regs -g -m64 -mcpu=v9 -D_SYSCALL32 -D_SYSCALL32_IMPL -D_ELF64 -D__sparcv9cpu -DSYSACCT -DC2_AUDIT
(I know some of these are redundant)
I have 4 locks along with a variety of other members defined in a structure used to by my driver code. If I manually arrange the structure to keep the lock variables on 8 byte boundries the module loads without a panic. However, if I let gcc handle the alignment or specifiy "__attribute__ ((aligned (8)))" on the lock variable definition the module panics on entry to the kernel rw_init or mutex_init routine with a BAD TRAP type 34 alignment error.
At this point I am lost. I'm guessing this is a gcc/sparcv9 issue but I have no idea how to code this properly. I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on the problem.

I found the problem. A shared header had a "#pragma pack(1)" with no matching "#pragma pack()". This was causing gcc to pack everything after the include.
I'm still a little unclear why my "__attribute__ ((aligned (8)))" on the actual variable did not override the pragma ??? but at least I found the culprit.
