Help understanding wwHeaderProductName within URM

Using 11.1.1.5 we have a request to rename the title from Universal Records Management. After a fair amount of digging around, I've found that wwHeaderProductName contains the information. I've managed to get the title to change by changing the value by going into this folder
ucm\idc\components\UniversalRecordsManager\resources\lang
and changing the value in the value for wwHeaderProductName in the wwStrings.htm file.
My question comes in two parts:
First if I create a custom component for wwHeaderProductName and set the value, it doesn't change. Why? Is there some trick I'm missing?
Second. When I look at the js created I see wwHeaderProductName along with wwHeaderProductName/rm and it's the second one which contains the "Universal Records Management" title. What's up with the /rm? Is that some custom thing surrounding just the branding?

Then I look at the New Desk top coming out in the fall, and I think well, if I wait and get this, what does this component do for the system, and what becomes redundant? What does this awesome desktop do for my ability to sit and use a new macbook air when I travel or sit on the couch in my PJs?
If there was a place that plainly stated "if you buy the new dektop you can configure a system including only these components and achieve <this result> and by adding <additional components> you will achieve this result.
I have been to the genius store a few times, but I come out of there more confused unless I have SPECIFIC questions or already know what to buy.
A "System Configuration App" would be a really great sales tool--Just saying.

I have no idea what "fully optimized" means.
No Apple device will let you watch broadcast TV. The Apple TV is a good option for watching streaming TV from iTunes, NetFlix and Hulu. If you want to watch from other sources, you may need to look at other devices.
Any Mac computer or iPad will allow you to surf the web.
What business software?
Time Capsule is a good option for back ups.
Update what across all devices?
For accessing documents from all devices, a service like Dropbox is your best bet.
I have no idea what "step as far away from an internet provider as possible" means. If you want Internet access, you need an Internet provider.
Lighting fast speed for what? Processor? The specs are listed for all devices in the Online Store. Internet? We're back to the service provider.
Technology changes. The only way to keep pace with it beyond a couple of years is to buy new stuff.
The bottom line is you need to look at the specs for devices availble and at your budget and decide what best meets your needs. If you are unable to do that on your own, there are lot of technology consultants out there who will, for a fee, look at your exact situation, make recommendations and even handle the purchase and set up. Perhaps that would be the best route for you.

Hello people,
I just run for the second time a full import, and it said it finished correctly.
The first time I run it, there was a message which said that the import had finished with 2249 errors (I checked my log and not all of them were errors but messages). I checked each single message and only had to solve a couple of things.
I first created a user in response to an ora-29393: user string does not exist or is not logged on.
The second thing I did was to run the utlrp.sql file in response to an ORA-39082. I did this according to this blog.
I know oracle is taking precedence each time I run an import. I don’t know if what I have done is okay or perhaps not all data was imported after all. This is the thread which I posted initially when errors came out.
Any reply is a supply.

Using the checkin similar options for Physical content items within URM, doesnt pull any of teh location infromation across to the new record. Other fields are pulled across successfully.
Not sure what could be casuing those fields not to populate. Any idea's?

Hows everyone doing, i need some help understand this. This is my first time using Lulu. From the reviews i'v read about it they tell me this is the #1 place to come to to get my books printed. Here the question, i have all 3 of my books ready to be uploaded do i just sent that in, then they send me the prints ? or so they self them for me. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but its my first time using this particular site.

Here's a quick overview:
You start the new book wizard. Click "Create," pick a book type and size (hardcover, paperback, etc.; 6x9, 8.5 x 11, etc.), and click "Make this book."
Hint: If you want the widest distribution for your book, pick a size / type that has a green checkmark next to it.
The wizard will guide you to name your book, apply an ISBN (or get a free one), upload your contents, and upload your cover or design a cover. It will guide you to set pricing and distribution, and many other options.
When you've done all that, your book will be available to order. You will see two prices: the one you pay, and the one other people pay. The one you pay is the printing cost per book. It may be anywhere from $2.50 to $20.00 or more, depending on options you pick -- probably coser to the low end.
On that first page, where it says "Create," there is a calculator that will figure roughly what your book will cost (printing costs), so you can plan your options around that calculator.
So you order as many books as you want, pick shipping, pay with a credit card, and in a few days, the books are on your doorstep.

Need some help understanding the way materialized views are applied through

Hi, I need some help understanding the way materialized views are applied through adpatch.
In patch 1, we have a mv with build mode immediate. When applying it PTS hang due to pool performance of mv refresh.
So we provide patch 2, with that mv build mode deferred, hoping it'll go through. But patch 2 hang too on the same mv.
How does this work? Is that because mv already exists in the database with build immediate, patch 2 will force it to refresh first before changing build mode? How to get over this?

Patch 2 is MSC11510: 9001833 APCC MSC_PHUB_CUSTOMERS_MV WORKER IS STUCK ON "DB FILE SEQUENTIAL READ" 12 HOURS
The MV is APPS.MSC_PHUB_CUSTOMERS_MV
This happens at customer environment but not reproducable in our internal environment, as our testing data is much smaller.
Taking closer look in the logs, I saw actually when applying both patch 1 and patch 2, MV doesn't exist in the database. So seems my previous assumption is wrong. Still, strange that patch 2 contains only one file which is the MV.xdf, it took 7 hours and finally got killed.

(2014, 05, 01, 00, 00, 01) to DateTime (2014, 05, 31, 23, 59, 59) and not other payments outside the date range specified.

Need help understanding why "1 is always equal to 1" is necessary in my Advanced Action

I am using Captivate 7 and publishing as a SWF.
I have an interaction that works, but there's one script that I use (which I found in a tutorial) that I don't understand the purpose of.
The interaction is contained on a single slide where a user clicks two buttons in any order and a graphic appears after the second click. On each button I have a Conditional Advanced Action where I first check that it will always be true that "1 is equal to 1", then assign each variable with "1", then check that each variable was equal to 1 after which the graphic appears.
The part that confuses me is checking if "1 is always equal to 1." Why is this script necessary in this case? Is it necessary because I'm including a Standard Advanced Action (assigning variables to "1") within the Conditional Advanced Action? Or is related to the fact that I'm doing everything on one slide (not using an On Enter slide event executing a Conditional Advanced Action)?

Perhaps it will help to think using different terms.
If you need a script that performs a check against some condition, you need a Conditional Action. Maybe you need to show an image if button 1 has been clicked. And if button 2 has been clicked, you need to show a different image.
Before checking to see which button has been pressed, you need to hide both images so that only the desired image is shown. So you need to perform the same action each time before checking some variable to take a specific action.
This is where the "If 1=1" would come from.
Each time the script is run, hide both images. Since the check to see if 1=1 will ALWAYS evaluate as true, the "ELSE" part will never be reached. So you would always perform the same actions just as a Standard Action would do.
Perhaps if you posted some screen captures of your scripts, we might better explain it.

Help understanding windows updates with SCCM 2012 R2

Hello all,
I am fairly new to SCCM in general and would like to know if I am doing things right with regard to Windows updates.
My setup:
I have one Windows 7 update group that has all updates as of about 3 weeks ago. That package is deployed to a win7 collection of machines.
I also have an ADR rule to create a new package containing new Windows 7 updates (within the past year) every month and deploy to the same collection. (I chose to create a new package due to the 1000 item limit in a package)
Will this setup work or am I doing something wrong here? I really want to know what best practices are related to configuring update packages/adr for windows updates.

Planning/Essbase. Version is 11.1.2.
Can you please help me understand the role of the ERPi adapter. I have hyperion planning that sits on an essbase cube. We load data and metadata from E-Business Suite 11. From forms and reports I want to drill back to the data in EBS. I have installed and configured the ERPi adaptor and the scenarios in ODI

I have set my target and source systems - where do I configure the "Drill Through"

To answer your questions...
1. This part of the process from what I've seen is integral to the product working - so the answer is yes
2. Drill through is defined in a number of places one of those is in the "Target Application Registration" within ERPi and there is also a flag within the the adapter.
Oracle have produced some good step by step documentation on this, please check metalink for note ID 951369.1 and this will take you through the process.

Two syncronized method in sequence ??? Please HELP or switch within sync ?

Hi every1,
its big..but it won't be difficult for u guys.. thank you....
i have to keep a track of number of session failures and also why it failed...
multiple threads access this method...it a very huge method and within the method there are many places where it could possibly fail a session setup..
so now i have two options:
1st option: i call synchronize method for failedsessionsetup and then another sychronized method(for example: provision failed) to increment the counter for number of setups failed due to provisions. i understand that threads would not have to wait for a long time as i m just only incrementing a value..
psedo code: option 1

2nd option: i make 1 syncronized function failessetup and increment failed setup everytime and pass this method a short paramter (i can only pass a short parameter as a reason for failure). then make a switch statement which would increment a partular bin or counter for that particular failure.

Hi Hugh,
This has been a saga from **** for me, and really no one has come up with a solution for me at all, not even apple. BUT I have burnt a dvd, and have found I couldn't do 2 discs one after the other, I could only do 1 and repeat the whole sorry saga again. If this doesn't work I don't know as I have tried everything.
1. Do a disc repair using disk utility.
2. Do the same using your boot up disc.
3. Go into itunes and make sure the audio is .aiff 48,000 and your video footage in your camera by the way should be 16 bit.
4. Go to your home > library > Cache and toss it in the trash
5. Whilst in the library go to the preference folder and take out the by host folder and put that in the trash.
6. Still in the library take out the com.apple.idvd.plist and imovie.plist and chuck the 2 of them
7.Now in imovie reimport your audio from itunes if you want it.
8.Export it to idvd - note, if it doesn't play well here, don't worry, mine was never in sync. just move on
9.Save it as a disk image.
10.When finished then play in dvd player to see how it plays
11. I found it best to then burn in toast. BUT I have also had problems burning in toast at this point.
As I said in the beginning, I did finally get my dvd. BUT I do have to go through all this before I can burn another!!! I have a pile of coasters.
All the very best of luck. I can't tell you how much trouble I have had and I do NOT call this success, however it got me by. I still need a lot of help so I can just import from imovie into idvd and burn like everyone else can, and like I have been able to do before tiger!!!

Help understanding Contacts is needed, and I though I knew...

Well, I spent a rainy saturday sorting out all my contact lists between my imac, mbp, and android phone. I have contacts in all the usual places (gmail accounts, google +, icloud, facebook and On My Mac. but I finally have all the lists and groups somewhat normalized and perhaps even syncing properly... exept I don't understand this:
The relationship between what appears on machines as iCloud groups and On My Mac groups. I have something like this:
Where the exact lists appear On My Mac as in the cloud. But there does not appear to be any syncing between the On My Mac and the iCloud groups unless the group or contact is dragged there. Is this working as expected?
Slight bugaboos I have, perhaps you can help:
The total # of contacts in the All iCloud group differs by 1 from the # of contacts in All on My Mac group.
When I use the group CIG Nepal in an email, and expand the group inside the header of the message, there are missing contacts... huh? No matter how many times I flushed the group and recreated, it's always the same.
Because I used Merge Duplicates a few times to clean those up, I now have duplicated data within the contacts themselves, like this, rampant thru:
Well, creds to Eltima's Syncmate, which made the selective pushing and pulling I needed to do possible between macs and my Galaxy Note II.

This can be the result of selecting the wrong driver. An older, unsupported laser printer will sometimes work with the generic Postscript driver.

Help Understand Jumbo Frames

I was hoping to get help in understanding jumbo frames. I have the following setup in our network. If host 1 sends a jumbo frame to host 2 what will happen on the switch. The SVI VLAN 10 has the MTU of 9216 and the SVI VLAN 11 MTU is 1518. Will the switch fragment the packet to 1518 bytes when it send the traffic to host 2?
