HELP!!!! Unknown error occurred (-69)
I've had my Ipod for about a year now and EVERY time I try to update my song list I get " Attempting to copy to the disk "(NAME OF IPOD)" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)"
Why is this happening? And how do I get the product that I paid for? I am using Windows XP. PLease help me get passed this problem. I just updated the Ipod with the latest version and there was no fix. I was afriad to since the iTunes program has been flawed,at best, since I installed it.
A couple of songs uploaded (about 3/3.5 GB's of the 4gb available) than it locks up trying to upload a song until the error occurs. It is not a bad file. I have uploaded it before and If I delete it from my playlist the Ipod goes on until there is another random song that won't upload to the iPod. The Odd thing is I USED to be able to delete the Songs from the play list until the rest of it uploaded, than I could add those songs back and most of them would load. It was a sH!Tty way to use a product that I paid so much money to use.
I don't have a whole lot of love for this peice of equipment but I am hoping one of you can show me the way.
BTW- the ipod work fine the first few times I plugged it into my Computer, now...well, Read the above
Costom Windows XP
Im sorry your having problems but error 69 denotes some file is corrupt. Corrupt files can become that way in many ways, especailly in windows. It may be a "Underlaying" issue in Windows or the PC thats causing "Flaw" issues in iTUnes like you stated above in your first post

That should solve the problem -
Can somebody help me in finding a solution or an explanation to the problem I am currently experiencing as well as others wherein we cannot connect to the iTunes store. An error message appears and either says "iTunes could not connect to the store. An unknown error occurred (0x80096004). Make sure your network connection is active and try again" or "iTunes could not connect to the store.Make sure your network connection is active and try again." Despite the fact that my network connection is working quite fine, this problem still persists. I can say that my connection is fine because I can surf the internet and furthermore, I used to connect to the iTunes store just before this incident happened which started from April 17, 2014 and persists until today. I tried to solve the problem by following the troubleshoot procedures given in the support section of this site but it really did not solve the problem. I believe that others are experiencing this situation as well very similar to mine when it comes to the time of occurrence as I have read in the discussions in this site. Even though we have different network connections, operating systems and other specifications, we still experience the same problem, so is there really a problem with our computers or is it with the iTunes? And by the way, my computer works under Windows XP. Thanks a lot. God bless.
Try this...
Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

I am running Windows 7 (64bit) , and an error message appears following a recent update to iTunes v 11.1.2: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occured (-3212). Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I have dug a little bit into possible problems but haven't found a solution yet, one note is that the network connection is OK. A response would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

This message keeps coming up everytime I try and log in on iTunes:
iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (0x80092013)
I have have looked at my proxy and unclicked the box.
I have enabled iTunes on my firewall.
I have uninstalled it and reinstalled the update.
I'm at a loss, can anyone help me know where I have gone wrong?
Thank-youIf like me you have concluded that this is not a connectivity issue.
In my case it is a problem with Webkit2 and they way it handles SSL certificates.
To test if this is the case install Safari for windows 5.1.7(if not already installed) and try to access a secure site, like facebook or your banking, if you receive a certificate dialog box saying
"Safari can't verify the identity of the website"
If you hit "Continue" and the page loads but does not render correctly ........
Then try using another browser (IE/FF/Chrome) and see if you are able to access the site without prompts and the page renders correctly.
From Safari 4.04 onwards (as well as iTunes) it uses the windows root certificate store, to test uninstall Safari 5.1.7 and go back as far as Safar 3.2.3 (oldapps.com) and then try to access a secure site, if it renders correctly (back then Safari handled it's own certificates) you have the same problem as me
If you also look in the logs for itunes when you're accessing (attempting) the store if you find a reference to webkit2 and certificates that should further help clarify the problem. btw - don't bother with windows root certificate updates if your other browsers work ok -

Please help. I simply connected my iPhone 4s to my Dell laptop (Win 8) which connected to iTunes automatically (which it normally does) and was told that I needed to update my software (I believe for both iPhone OS and iTunes). I tried to update and now my iPhone won't work at all. I just keep going in circles trying to restore and recover and I keep getting the error message: The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (14). All I see on my iPhone 4s screen is a cable connector, a little up arrow, and an iTunes symbol--and nothing else works.

"The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred. Error 1603" Help!
So I had recently jail broken my iPod(2G, 8MG), which was stupid of me and I regret it, but I kept having issues with it so I manually erased everything off my device from the settings straight on my iPod, then my iPod refused to go passed the apple logo when it restarted.
I have updated my iTunes, I have put my iPod in DFU mode multiple times and have tried restoring it and it doesn't work, then I press "shift" (I work on a Windows) and then click restore and my downloads file comes down and I click on the firmware I downloaded which is 4.2.1 I believe. It starts to restore, then after around 5 minutes I get the error message "The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured. Error 1603."
I'd love for some help, I'm starting to get frustrated and I do not have the money to buy a new iPod.Yu said: Jailbroken
Jailbreaking voids the Apple warranty and also means that you will not get any support from Apple, including from this Apple forum. Jailbreaking can't be discussed in this Apple forum.
Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues -
my iphone 4 i bought was jailbroken to ios 6.0.1 redsn0w but i tried to restore the iphone and now it keeps saying connect to itunes but when i connect and try to restore an "unknown error" occurs and it will not boot up whatsoever. please help!
If you want to solve your problems, unjailbreak. And don't do it again, because jailbreaking causes problems as you read about in that article. You can try Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

This means that either your firewall/antivirus is blocking access to Apple's servers, or you have used your computer to jailbreak an iDevice in the past. The link above tells you how to resolve this issue. -
