Help !!! Up down left right slides missing from block diagram !!!

H E L P !!!!  Hi I am right in the middle of editing my labview program and all of a sudden on my block diagram the up down and left right slides have dissappeared from the screen ? How do I get them back ?  I have tried closing the program and reopening it but when the saved program reopens  the slides are still missing for pulling the programs scope left right up and down !!! Thanks John

Hi,
are you sure the slides (please fill me in what are those?) are missing?
May be you have dragged the mouse while holding down the CTRL-key that auto-expands your block diagram?
To verify use the find function and search for the name of an indicator/control that has gone missing
Another way might be using ctrl-shift-N, this will show a small overview of your VI.
Ton
BTW your VI should fit into one (1) or two (2) screen of 1024X768 and never expand it in both directions!!

Hi, how to use touch pad (thinkPad T61) to scroll pages up/down, left/right? do I need any drivers?

Hi daneeo, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
In the Control Panel for your Mouse there should be an UltraNav tab. Under that tab are all the settings for the touchpad. Check to make sure scrolling is enabled.
If you do not see an UltraNav tab in the Mouse Control Panel, download and install the UltraNav driver and utility:

  • Green screen video resizing/moving up/down/left /right on background shot

When using green screen in Imovie is it possible to re position your green screen footage on the background ie:- up/down/left/right and also resize ?
many thanks for any help on this.

I haven't found any, though one can use crop or ken burns effects. I am sure there is a trick, like exporting the green screen video into keynote or something, but I haven't found a way in iMovie.

After the new update of the latest iOS, I noticed a yellowish color on the sides of my iPhone 5 screen (Top,Down,Left,Right). Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank You.

It is highly unlikely that any iOS update could cause this.
Try a restore as new, if the problem persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

  • Display screen moves up/down & left/right

I am using a Cinema display on a G5 and when I move my mouse around the screen the screen shifts by several pixels to the left/right/top/or bottom depending on which way I am moving the mouse. It is as if the screen does not fit completely within the display. Right now my resolution is set to: 1680x1050.
Its a strange problem that is really more distracting than anything else. Any ideas regarding what I can do to fix this?
    many thanks,

  • Property Node activated even though it's been removed from Block Diagram

    Hi,
I messed around with the property node of one of my controls and when I was finished and removed the property node from the block diagram it still makes my control blink.
How do I make it stop??
Is the option of Enable state not possible to set in property node mode. I'd like to go from disabled and grayed to enabled.
    Thanks.

    Hi
Your blinking property might still be set. Add the property again to set it to False.
To set the enabled/disabled/grayed state use the "Disabled" property.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello!
So... My program it's working fine, but it seems that I cannot see some objects in the block diagram (see the attached image), even if they're working fine. do you know how to show them? because I would like to change something and I don't know how to do that!

    I'm working with labview 2010.
    thanks!

  • Print Problem : Print description and tips from structures, nodes and loops from block diagram

    Hello,
I've just completed the entire documentation of my VI and I did describe some Case structures and Formula Nodes. Now I want to print the VI with the VI printer and when I select ''Description'' in the custom printer manager, it doesn't select the description from most functions in the block diagram such as Formula Node, Case Structure, etc.
Is there a way to get these descriptions in the printed version VI ?
    Thanks a lot !

    Hi Weepet,
After some investigation, it turns out that this behavior is expected behavior.  Please see the following help topic
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvhowto/creating_vi_and_object_de/
Essentially, Context Help will only display the description for controls, indicators, and constants.  At the same time, the descriptions will only print if that description is available in context help.  LabVIEW primitives will always use the description from the documentation, and will not display your custom "Description and Tips".  So, for primitives like case structures and formula nodes, we cannot get that information to print. The behavior that you're seeing is expected.
Perhaps you can just use comments to document these functions?  You can double click on a blank area of the block diagram and provide comments.

  • How Do I Stop HP X3500 Mouse Changing DPI Settings When I Hold Down Left + Right Buttons?

I have purchased the HP X3500 wireless mouse, and frequently interact with applications which require me to simultaneously click on the left and right mouse buttons. Every time I do this the DPI value is changed (since holding them both down for 3 seconds each and moving the mouse changes the DPI). This is due to a feature with the mouse.
How can I disable this? The mouse itself did not come with any bundled software.
    thx.

In order to make use of the right-click inside an open session you have three options:
Standard PC two button USB mouse
Apple Magic Mouse: To enable right-click, clickSystem Preferences in the dock, click Mouse, and then enable Secondary click.
Apple Magic Trackpad or MacBook Trackpad: To enable right-click, click System Preferences in the dock, click Mouse, and then enable Secondary click.

  • Help needed! GMail sent items missing from Apple Mail!

I need your help to solve a problem that I've identified recently in Apple Mail with a GMail account:
I have a POP-enabled GMail account in Mail, but also with IMAP functionality enabled through GMail's webmail settings (probably because I access it also from my iPad).
However, I notice that my local "Sent" mailbox in Mail only contains some 140 messages, even if a visit to GMail's webmail page shows me that I have at least 1200 "sent" messages.
I must note that my advanced mailbox settings in Mail do NOT allow for automatic deletion of sent items.
So my question is: how to make sure that I do not lose ANY sent items from GMail or any other account for that matter (i.e., that whatever is sent remains in the local "sent" mailbox in Mail)? Am I missing something?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Or am I saying something stupid?
No I don't think so. But from what you're saying, the only copies of sent messages on your computer will be what you are sending from the computer. The messages sent from the iPad or website are not stored on the computer. If it were all set as IMAP, they will be available on all devices.
Thanks a lot for your attentive reply - my only concern is that, when I activate IMAP, I won't be able anymore to have a steady copy of all items in my sent items folder on Apple Mail, nor to delete what I want at will.
Changing it to IMAP will make the all sent items available on the server to your computer, website, and other devices. They will always be there as long as you don't delete them from the server. The messages you manually delete will delete them from the server and all devices. If you want a local backup, then copy them to a local folder which will not remove them from the server or move them to a local folder which will delete them from the server.
Auto syncing does not in any way interfere with local folders on the Mac. The only IMAP folders you can sync are the inbox, sent, drafts, and junk. Inbox is the only mailbox that has to be synced (it's done automatically and you can't change it). I also sync the Sent and Trash. I don't sync (store messages on the server) the drafts or junk mailbox.
I don't understand what you mean by not being able to delete messages from the Inbox. I do it all the time. What happens when you delete it depends on your settings in gmail. Gmail has some peculiar settings like having a deleted items folder besides the Trash folder.  The default is to delete from inbox, it goes to the deleted items folder. Delete it from there, and it goes to Trash. Delete it from trash to get rid of it. The fact is that the All Mail folder shows the message no matter what folder it in. I have mine set to move it straight to the trash when moved from the last visible IMAP folder. So, when I delete it from Mail's Inbox, it moves it to the trash just as local messages do.
If you plan to do your email from the computer only, then POP is fine. If you plan to use the website and iPad also, then IMAP is the way to go.
That way everything in mail is available no matter where you look at it. The only things you won't see is what you move to local folders.
Seems like you should go to gmail's website and read the help files to become more familiar with it. Also look at all the settings available (expecially the Labels Tab, Accounts tab, and Forwarding Tab. These settings will be what you will use mostly to customize how it works and flows with the Mac. If you're going to use IMAP, you need to understand what they do exactly and what you want them to do for you.
My sole objective: to keep ALL messages in Apple Mail (except those I expressly delete), as well as ALL messages in Google.
IMAP does exactly this for you already. By leaving it on the server, they are on the computer. In Mails preference settings in the Accounts / Advanced Tab, for IMAP accounts keep the setting for storing messages for offline viewing. That way Mail actually does store a copy locally until you delete it from the server. And that will be backed up with your computer backup.
And what you do delete from any device will duplicate it elsewhere.

  • Arrow keys - up, down, left right - not working in Safari 2.0.4 (419.3)

Hello all - need some help as my arrows keys in Safari have ceased working - can't scroll up or down using them and wondering why. Yes, they do work in all other app's, Yes I have deleted pref files for Safari, done most common maintenace and yes I have searched extensively for any help online.
I did install the beta for Safari 3, and then promptly uninstalled, leaving me as I am and have been for a few days without working arrow keys.
Any help out there is most appreciated

    hmmmm...no help, no replies.....
    ......thanks everyone!
    Hi Michael.
I read your question when you first posted and had absolutely no idea why this problem would occur. So I didn't respond.
I'd guess that's the same with everyone else who came across your question. People aren't ignoring you purposefully - they just don't know the answer or have any ideas to troubleshoot this problem.
Of course, that could change. You only posted two days ago, and there's a chance that in this user-to-user forum, where all people who help are volunteering their time, anyone who happens to have an idea of why this problem is occurring just hasn't come across your question yet.

  • Where to place Sequence Locals in a Sequence Frame? up, down, left right?

    Hi,
I have a sequence with several frames and I need to overgive some values from frame to frame via Sequence Locals.
Where should I place the Sequence Local? On the top or on the bottom of the frame? Maybe on the right?
If I place them on the right side of the frame the wiring looks good in the one frame but it is ugly in the other frame.
    How do you do it?

Yes, you can put property nodes of your chart in a subVI. You just need to create a reference to the chart and pass that into the subVI

  • HELP! My documents, jpegs, etc. missing from Macbook desktop!

A couple of these were pretty important.....like my recently inventoried comic book collection on an Appleworks doc. I had a lot of hours invested in that! It disappeared from my desktop a couple days ago. I tried Time Machine...but that doesn't give an option to restore a desktop item any further back than today. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without more information, it's going to be difficult to help. We can only make some guesses.
First, regarding Time Machine, did you have it set up and running previously, or did you turn it on for the first time after noticing those items were gone? If the latter, Time Machine only backs up files while it is on, so there aren't any backups for before that point.
If you already had Time Machine turned on, be sure you're using it correctly. See the [Time Machine FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1964018] and [Time Machine Troubleshooting guide|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2057525].
If those files are truly gone, not just misplaced, and are not in any backup, then your only choice will be to use data recovery tools like [Data Rescue|http://www.prosofteng.com> or [File Salvage|http://subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/index.php?mainpage=product_info&productsid=1]. The results are not likely to be perfect, though.
