Help...Update/Leopard Error

Hi a Mac Book Pro laptop was updated to leopard, but when it was restarted, it keeps displaying the message
"You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for 7 seconds or press restart button"
I follow the above instructions but the same error occurrs. What should I do?

Please forgive me for disappearing from this thread for the last 8 days.
I had hoped that some other thoughts would be brought forward in my absence.
Reinstalling the OS on a completely empty hard disk, with the reinstall being the 10.5.2 Upgrade,
probably would solve the problem, but I would advocate simplicity as the best course at this time.
So, you can avoid the message by continually pressing the C key as the computer is booting, and then selecting your disk partition when given that option. By following this route, the machine somehow ignores the problem.
When you are up and running with the OS, immediately choose to do a Software Update which is part of the APPLE Icon menu. When this ( 10.5.2 update ) has been downloaded and installed, go to your System Preferences, and select Startup Disk, and make your hard disk partition, with 10.5.2 on it, the startup disk.
Shutdown or restart your machine without pressing the C key, and hopefully you will get a clean boot, with stable results.
Reinstalling the OS from scratch onto a clean hard disk wearies me beyond comprehension, and it isn't even me doing it. My experience from the past has been that the 10.5.x install procedure doesn't recognize that 10.5.x has already been installed, and hence uses another 5 to 7 GB of hard disk to do the new install. If disk space is limited, you might not be allowed to do the install.
So, I truly hope that you have already solved this problem, and that you can ignore this advice.

You are trying to update nr_seq_trans_fin_contab to 601. The column nr_seq_trans_fin_contab has a foreign key relationship named titrece_trafina_fk to another table. the value 601 must exist in that other table before you can update titulo_receber.
To find which table that is, assuming that you are logged in as in the tasy user do:
select table_name
from user_constraints
where constraint_name = (select r_constraint_name
                         from user_constraints
                         where constraint_name = 'TITRECE_TRAFINA_FK');

Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

There are many people suffering from this problem right now (including me). It appears to be a server issue. Just wait and try checking for updates again tomorrow.
Some things I have heard indicate that this may be a regional problem, though what parts of the world are affected I don't know yet. A few people have been helped by deleting the following preference file (paste the path into the Go -> Go to Folder window in the Finder to locate it), though most have not:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Note that if you are trying to download iTunes 10.7, that can be found here:

Also, note that there is no reason to be anxious to get it, as the only thing added in iTunes 10.7 is compatibility with iOS 6, which will not be available until the 19th, and the new iPhone, which will not be available until later as well. Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card.

Did you try more than once? If so:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.

Do you really mean the Nikon D60 which shipped in 2008? Was it purchased secondhand?
The Nikon D60 was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw 4.4.
Photoshop CS4 ships with Camera Raw 5.0 so it can read D60 NEF files out of the box. No updates required.
If you do mean the D60 then something else must be going on. e.g. are you using Nikon software to transfer files from camera to computer?

Cannot update ipod (error code -50) HELP!!!

Just put some new album art for my songs but not everything showed up so I connected it back to my pc and unchecked and then rechecked the show album art option and got a
"ipod <ipodname> cannot be updated unknown error -50"
message. What gives? Now NO artwork is showing up! Tried restarting the pc and the ipod and still nothing!!! I'm stumped!!

Do you have any McAfee software running on your PC? The only reference in the Knowledge Base I have ever seen for error-50 concerns McAfee software interfering with connection to the iTunes Music Store. It's a long shot but if you have McAfee Privacy Service running it might be worth turning it off to see if it is contributing to your your problem: iTunes for Windows: Error (-50)

RMMR1MRS report when run in background cause update failure errors .
There are few below reason for the error log.
1. for the PO invoice already generated - (its right if already invoice generated. should not happen again)
2. In MIGO, entire quantity has been reversed and also invoice generated with zero value - ( its right , should not happen invoice again )
3. Particular PO line item deleted - (its right if the PO line item deleted. ERS settlement not require)
For the all above reason, the update error occurs. But the mean time the program "RMMR1MRS" should not through the update error log.
Note: The job was not terminated due to this update error and also no harm because of the error log
can you please help on this update failure why it occurs.

Procedure
     Check and correct your update rules and then generate the update program

The update rule looks very fine. I even deleted it and re created, but no success..... Please give me your thoughts abt it..... Any suggestions will be great for me.....

"Update terminated " error has two reasongs.
First is system update was not active and hence terminated
For this to check Goto the transaction code SM13 and check whether the SYSTEM UPDATE is active or not.
If it is active ,
Then click on the Option TOBE updated in the status and execute, then in the next screen you can find some list of documents that are not updated and causing error .
Click on MODULES in the screen and find the erro which causing this error.
Most this kind of error will happen if something in the Funcion Module or USER EXIT is missing.
Please check and revert back if you need further details
