Help upgrading the ACE 3(0)A1(3)version to any A1 train release

Hello All,
I would like to know where on cisco website i can find the procedure for upgrading the version ACE 3(0)A1(3) to the latest A1 train release i.e A1(6.2 or 6.3) i tried searching it but found this and no aware there is mentioned of upgrading from A1(3) to any other firmware.
Also this software is no longer avaialable.

Hello,
The A1 train documentation was released for A1(2) and the process for upgrading documented in the Administration Guide Appendix A is correct. See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/ace/v3.00_A1/configuration/administration/guide/upgrade.html
I used the procedure to upgrade from A1(4a) without problems.

2) Oracle DB 8.1.7
3) SAP J2EE engine 6.20.
we are using 2 servers: one is the EP 5.0 Portal server with SAP J2EE 6.20, and the other is Oracle DB with LDAP server
We want to upgrade the current EP 5.0 SP5 version to EP 6.0. Could you furnish the details for the upgrade and migration with regards to which version to use in EP, the DB version and other softwares required. Also the Hardware required and configuration setup information issues.

Well could u tell me the approx time estimate(in weeks or months would be helpful)that is required to do the following:
1)Upgrade EP5.0 sp5 to EP5.0 SP6
2)Apply the Hotfix and patch 1 to make it ready for upgrade to Netweaver '04 Stack 14
4)Install and configure Netweaver '04 Stack 14
3)Complete the migration from EP5.0 SP6 to the new portal using SAP migration tools
The above, is the procedure given in the upgrade guide.
And it tells it is a lengthy time consuming task.
I need to estimate the -TIME FACTOR-(in weeks or months) taken to accomplish the task using 2 consultants, as it is to be used for proposing the upgrade project to my client.

You can’t. You have upgrade or have whoever is send you files save as IDML. Don’t expect perfection.

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application.

I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.

As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. Is there any problem while loading the Document 2 app. If I reload then do I need to purchase again?

Hi JCGO,
The Schema installed on your DB is 12.1.2.0.0 but the Domain Extension requires 12.1.3.0.0.
One solution is to run the 12.1.3.0.0 RCU, drop the existing schema on your DB, followed by installation 12.1.3.0.0 schema on the DB, so that the Domain extension gets the 12.1.3.0.0 schema
One more solution is to open the template on which you are extending the domain. The templates are present in ${MW_HOME}/oracle_common/common/templates/wls , explore to the required configuration inside yourtemplate.jar and comment out the Credential store schema version pre-requisite. This is not a good approach, but still it'll be a good workaround since 12.1.2.0.0 and 12.1.3.0.0 schema wont have much difference.

Whether you need to buy Mac OS X 10.7.3 depends on what version of OS X you have now.
If you have OS X 10.6.x or lower it is a paid upgrade from the Mac AppStore.
If you have OS X 10.7.x it is a free upgrade you get using Software Update on your Mac.

Upgrading the OS does not remove your apps and purchases.

After upgrading my late 2009 iMac to Mountain Lion I am unable to play any DVD's. When I put a DVD into the superdrive, it tries reading the disk and then it ejects it. Is this problem related to the upgrade?

You must purchase Leopard. It's not an update, but an upgrade.

TS3694 I have tried every suggestion regarding installing Apple Mobile Device on Windows 7. We had no problems until iTunes attempred to upgrade to the latest 10.6.3.25 version. Any new suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you.

We have tried dozens of times to uninstall and cleanout every file. Even tried opening perms on the filerepository. Tried installing with msiec and logged. iTunes will install but AMD will not so we cannot connect the phones and pods. Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

I have a small question.
My Laptop model is A350-x6310 (psal6g-01p00y)
The processor in my laptop is intel core2duo p7350.
Unfortunately it doesnot support intel virtualization so i am planning to replace it withintel core 2 duo p 8600.
I would like to know is it possible?
I have heard that now a days processors are soldered to the laptops and its not possible to replace them.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Theoretically this would be possible since the CPU is just mounted and not soldered on the motherboard.
But as I said its theoretically only because the BIOS has not been configured for another CPUs.
In worst case the BIOS would not be compatible with the CPU and the notebook would not boot up or the OS would not run stable
Furthermore the stronger CPU develops more heat dissipation and this could lead to a higher temperature and to unexpected shut downs
So in my opinion its not worth to upgrade the CPU because you will also not notice any boost performance.

[Forum FAQ] How to upgrade the Linux Integration Service

Symptom
When you move a Linux guest virtual machine from the legacy system to Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V host, you may face the incompatibility issues. The most common problems are that the mouse pointer maybe a little inaccuracies, the guest VM cannot use the
dynamic memory.
Cause
The cause may be that the integration service not compatible with the Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V host.
Solution
We need to upgrade the integration service to at least version 3.5.
In this demo, we use the CentOS 5.8_x86_x64.
You can refer to the following steps to perform the upgrading.
1. Before install the Integration service you can use the following command to check the version of the installed Integration service. (Figure 1)
#su root
#/sbin/modinfo hv_vmbus

2. Download the Integration Service 3.5 image from here.

3. Insert the Integration Service 3.5 image.
a. Open Hyper-V Linux guest VM console.
b. Click-> Media->DVD Drive-> Specific the Integration service image location, insert Disk.
4. Mount the image.
If automount is enable, the Integration service image will be mounted automatically. If not, please use the following command to mount the image. (Figure 2)
#mount /dev/cdrom /media

After that, we can see the image content. (Figure 3)

5. Upgrade the integration service.
Use the following command locate to the current Linux Distribution Directory. In this example, we select the RHEL58. (Figure 4)
#cd RHEL58
#./upgraee.sh

When you see the message, "Linux Integration Service for Hyper-V has been upgraded. Please reboot your system", it means the upgrading is finished.
6. Reboot your Linux system. (Figure 5)

After Linux boots up, use the following command to check if the upgrading is succeed. (Figure 6)

How the ACE handles rserver failures

I've got a question re: the ACE module.
Lets say I have 2 web rservers and I have a probe interval for checking them from the ACE of 10 seconds.
Lets say a probe just passed and it is 10 seconds before the next one. The ACE will think the rserver is ok. Then say the rserver httpd service is stopped at 3 seconds after the last successful probe, therefore leaving 7 seconds before the ACE is going to send another probe. The ACE will think it is still 'up' before the next probe is sent.
Given the above, what happens to a) existing connections to the newly failed rserver and b) new connections if the failure occurs between probes?
How does the ACE handle this situation?
Are there any differences between how the ACE handles this between A1 and A2 versions of software?

URL rewrite only comes into play when REAL Server (Rserver )sends a clear text redirect. Such as 302 for http://investor.nice360.com. If client recieves this 302 it will attempt the next request using HTTP.With Url rewrite feature we configure ACE to change these redirects from Http tp HTTPS.
What you are looking for is a simple redirection of client request from port 80 to port 443. This can be achieved using redirect server farm and redirect rserver.
You will need to create two sets of configs (class-maps, rserver, sfarm,policy map) for port 80 & port 443 traffic. Port 80 policy will simply redirect the port 80 request to port 443.
