HELP - URGENT ... deleted Page 0

Hi,
I've done something very stupid ... by a mistake I've deleted my page 0, there were some regions applied and also all my onDemandProcesses require this page.
I've a backup of my database, does anybody know what tables must be recovered to have restored my page0.
I'm using ApEx 2.2 and have already found that the page description must somewhere be saved in the FLOWS_020200.
Please help, because my customers cannot access my application anymore.

Hi Scott,
sorry for my late answer ... but I'm now very happy again ...
while dashing through my files I found an old export file of my application in the trash of my email.
I imported it to my workspace and then copied the page 0 to my application.
It is now running as fine as before.

[Help please] Delete page

Hi,
I am using InDesign in a quite basic way. Lately I encoutered a problem. When I delete a page my columns and pictures are shifted in a wrong way.
I added some screenshots to explain what I mean.
This is how it looks before deleting a page:

As you can see the right page just gets shifted to the left one. Is there a way to build it that it wil understand that it has to rearange the colums and objects? So when I delete one page that everything rearanges nicely.

I think there may be a limited-time trial that would get you through the current project, then you could decide if the investment is worthwhile for the future. Without some sort of plugin I'm afraid you're probably stuck -- that's just the nature of how the program works.
The other problem with adding/deleting odd numbers of pages is that overridden master items are replaced when a page shift sides, so you now have both the overridden copy (no longer linked to the master page) and the copy that is still on the master. For empty frames you might not notice, but anything with content in it makes a mess. AutoFlow Pro deals with this, as well.

Good morning Old Toad.
I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

I accidently deleted an entire page on the site I was creating. Is there any way to restore it without redoing the entire page???? I connected to my site vie Fetch on my mac but don't see the deleted page there. Help?????????????????????

Unfortunately once you have deleted a page it has been removed and is not recoverable by Verizon or Trellix. If you look at the the Help for Site Builder, and under "All Topics- Working with Pages- Delete a page" it states,
Delete a page:
Note: The deletion is not confirmed. Make sure that you want to delete the page before clicking "Delete".

My newsletter in pages has 2 blank pages 5 and 6. I cannot delete them without deleting pages 3 and 4. Help

My newsletter has 4 pages that I want to keep. Somehow, it added page 5 and 6. When I try to delete them, the program deletes page 4 as well.

What template did you use to create your newsletter? Word Processing or Page Layout?
Menu > View > Page Thumbnails. Click on a Thumbnail. Are several pages surrounded by a yellow border? If so, they are all in one Section. Deleting one thumbnail will delete the whole Section (pages 4, 5 and 6).
Go to Menu > Insert
If the first Menu Item is Sections, you have a Word Processing document. Delete the content of a page, not the thumbnail of a page
Do you have any Section Breaks?
Menu > View > Show Invisibles to see Section Breaks, blank paragraphs etc. that might be causing a new (unwanted) page.
If this does not help, please reply with more details.

Sorry, it was my fault. When I searched on the Internet, I was reading the Acrobat help pages, without knowing it, because in my research I wrote "how to delete pages in a pdf file with Adobe reader", i was just automatically redirected toward Acrobat help but i didn't notice.
So no incorrect information exist in the Reader Help pages.

CSS Layout issue!! Help Urgent!!

I am having a problem with creating a css layout, in the past i used tables and am trying to convert my sites for my customers. I have layed out the website using divs and css and it looks great until i put in the cosing of the menu bar. when i put in the coding for the menu bar suddenly the bar has a padding around it but i cannot find a padding that would change this in the css coding. Well, you're not using position:absolute, so you've got a big thumbs up from a bunch of us for that.
Is there any chance you could post a link to this page on your server? It's much easier to troubleshoot from a browser than it is to rebuild the page from code fragments.
If you haven't gone live with the page yet, create a folder called TEST in your site and save copies of the page and css there. Upload TEST and post a link to it here. Once the problem is found/fixed, delete TEST from the server.
You can also attempt to use Firefox or Chrome to find your issue by right clicking > Inspect Element. All CSS that affects a given element will be displayed with file name and line numbers there.

ERROR WHILE DELETING PAGE (WWC-44130)

I have a page group in my portal. It is is having many pages. i am getting following error
if i try to delete a page.

UNEXPECTED ERROR - ORA -01403: NO DATA FOUND (WWC-35000)
How to resolve this problem?
i have noticed thate in,
http://server/dav_portal/portal i can find all page group and subpages. the actual subpage, which is i am trying to delete is not visible. the same subpage is visible in portal navigate page.
how to resove this problem? please guide me properly. please help me.

Dear Sudhir,
I don't know if this is of any help to you, but I sporadically encounter the same error when trying to delete regions/items/tabs etc. from TEMPLATES (not from pages). I am sure that this is a bug.
However, after creating a page from the template and then detaching it from the template, I can delete the corrupt elements. So I can currently work around the problem.
Maybe this applies to your situation?

I'd like to delete a page group of my project. Normally I have no problem with that. But sometimes the following exception is thrown and the group can not be deleted:

hi chrigel,
i searched for the problem and found a few references to it in our bug database. i strongly suggest to open a TAR with support to analyze the problem. they will see if a patch is available for this problem or open a new bug.

I have learned to love PAGES, but I can't figure out how "sections" get linked together and how to unlink them so I can move pages or delete pages with a whole bunch of pages (a section) going away.

I have learned to love the PAGES program but I will add a new "section" or page to it and then when I look at thumbnails and try to move pages around or delete pages, it treats them as a section of many pages and will only delete several of them together or will add extra blank pages that I don't need. It is very frustrating but must be something I am doing to cause this.

A Page Break pushes the next text to the next page, it is still part of the same section.
You need to insert a Section Break.

Need help urgently with OS X and Windows 7

I need help urgently.
I installed Windows 7 on my macbook pro with OS X Lion. After installing Windows7, I accidently converted the basic volumes to dynamic volumes and now i can't even boot to OS X.
Please help me how to recover my OS X Lion. If I have to delete Windows and bootcamp partitions, it is OK.
I just want to get back my OS X bootable.

The usual reason for the OSX partition to be invisible under these circumstances is that it has been trashed by Windows.

Cannot delete pages in Acrobat 9 Standard

We have several new computers we just installed and 7 new acrobat 9 standard discs with serial numbers. Installation went fine. We can create PDFs but when we try to edit, we cannot delete pages. Online help shows how to delete pages in Acrobat 9 Standard, but the Delete option is not available on the menus.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 9 Standard on one computer to see if a new install would fix the problem, but it did not. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

Please use the camera icon for uploading screen captures or other pictures, then we do not have to wait for the file to be approved. To try to help a bit let us get a bit more information. OS? Any plugins for Acrobat installed? Try this on a pdf that you create. Make sure no security is set for the pdf file.

Delete Pages, file size, PDF Optimizer Clean Up

Using Acrobat 9 Pro (for Windows, if that makes any difference).
I have a 148 page PDF of a magazine, about 58 MB in size.
I Deleted 40 pages of ads, leaving just the useful content.
The file size is still about 58 MB.
When I run Advanced -> PDF Optimizer,
the file size goes down to about 47 MB.
The Optimizer settings don't seem to matter.
Even with just "Clean Up" checked, all its options UNchecked,
and Compression set to "Leave Compression Unchanged"
the file size is still reduced.
I have tried several other PDF editors and tools,
and none of them reduce the file size after deleting the 40 pages,
even using their "optimize" or "compress" functions.
Can someone explain why deleting pages does not reduce the file size,
and what the Optimizer is doing (that the other tools don't do)
to reduce the file size ?

Document -> Optimize Scanned PDF (defaults)... tho you could play w the slider bar for even smaller.
